Will Panera Bread's decision to phase out its controversial Charged Lemonade derail my energy drink “on-premise 2.0” trend prediction from April 2019? With energy drink brands like Celsius paving their own path in the consumer's mind, beyond the traditional categorical need states, there's undoubtedly still a long runway of growth opportunities remaining within the foodservice channel. This will prove especially true within quick service restaurants…where energy drinks are starting to take lunchtime consumption share from carbonated soft drinks. But how does the functional beverage category unlock this massive market potential right now…when QSRs don't want to be lumped into the Panera Bread Charged Lemonade negative news cycle? There are two helpful underlying forces: the self-serve beverage dispenser era is ending and functional energy “cans in hand” have become a key accessory when signaling a wellness-focused lifestyle. Have you tried Panera's Charged Lemonade? If you haven't, DON'T
Caffeine is an incredibly addictive drug that a majority of people consume each day to function. It's so addictive and common that people joke about their own addiction. Yet we don't treat caffeine in the same manner as other drugs. Recently, the ‘Charged Lemonade' drinks from Panera Bread are being blamed for two deaths due to caffeine content. These lemonades have also gone viral for their caffein content despite the massive caffeine dosage that can be found in sodas, energy drinks, and speciality tea concoctions - especially when refilled over and over. One may wonder why others have not died of the ‘Charged Lemonade' or countless other caffeine concentrated products before the recent lawsuits - or maybe they have. Perhaps the headaches, nausea, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, tachycardia, anxiety, insomnia, dizziness, and irritability, induced by caffeine are being treated like normal conditions or blamed on other popular scapegoats. Caffeine toxicity may also be damaging relationships, causing hazardous driving conditions, etc. It's time to have a talk about something that may be contributing to far more problems in our society than we are willing to admit. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5328407/advertisement

Stigall wants to dive deep into issues today, and he will. But listener caution: he's loaded for bear on this drink at Panera called "Charged Lemonade" that a major law firm claims killed a woman. He's been receiving a lot of personal correspondence on the story, and needs to vent! The Chair of the House Freedom Caucus Scott Perry says he's elated with the new Speaker and thinks you will be too, specifically because he's already thinking and messaging more offensively than his predecessors. Plus, nobody covers J6 events, prisoners, corrupt D.C. judges as well as the continuing legal attacks on Trump from the DOJ. She'll update us on the latest. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Crazy Town Podcast "Charged Lemonade"
The state of Illinois is one of 42 states that are suing Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta over concerns regarding Mental Health of users of these platforms. Lawyer and Fox News contributor, Andrew Reed joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the legal grounds for suing Meta and what ultimately social media companies may do to defend themselves from these lawsuits. We also spoke to Andrew about another big company facing a big lawsuit as Panera is under fire over the death of a college student who died after drinking a Charged Lemonade. The lemonade contains more caffeine than a Red Bull and Monster Energy Drink combined. The college student happened to suffer from a heart ailment and the student's parents claim that Panera had nothing available to tell anyone how much caffeine was in their charged lemonade. All of this plus, Andrew weighs in on a legal urban legend in this Wake Up Tri-Counties interview.
A University of Pennsylvania student died after drinking a "Charged Lemonade" from Panera Bread. Panera Bread has now "enhanced" a disclosure it has posted in its restaurants about the drink. This poses the questions as to how much caffeine is too much> Dave and Debbie discuss.
Following the death of a college student with a heart condition who went into cardiac arrest last year after drinking the Panera Bread caffeinated drink, Charged Lemonade, her family has filed a lawsuit against the bakery-café chain for the death of their daughter, Sarah Katz, as first reported by NBC News. Considering the developing situation, Panera said that the brand has updated all of its in-store disclosures about the high caffeine levels of the drink, which now state in bold letters, “Contains Caffeine,” with a warning that states consumers should “use in moderation” and that the drink is not recommended for “children, people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant or nursing women.”
Panera Bread has issued warnings in its restaurants that people who are sensitive to caffeine should not drink their "Charged Lemonade." This comes after the death of a college student after drinking the beverage.
ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about Panera Bread posting an "enhanced" disclosure about its "Charged Lemonade" following the death of a University of Pennsylvania student who died after drinking the hyper-caffeinated energy drink.
