Passionate about creative arts & entertainment since early childhood, Daniel Caleb successfully followed his dream of being a professional athlete. Before his first major international competition, an inflicted knee injury destroyed his hopes of inspiring people to discover their gifts and live their dreams. This moment of desperation led Caleb to explore his other creative veins, such as fashion, where he worked with renowned brands as a fashion model. Despite the offered glory, Caleb could not align his own values with those of the fashion industry and therefore refused to pursue further projects that did not serve a higher purpose. Today, Daniel Caleb is the Founder of "Transfigured Universe," which teaches people "How To Live A Heavenly Life". It aims to inspire people from all walks of life to rise above the status quo by simply daring to live their dreams, being transformed into their heavenly version, and having fun while changing the world. http://www.transfiguredcommunity.com

Buy Courses at https://bit.ly/PrepareforyourfirsttriptoAfricaudemy Support Us On Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/gamediversified Christian Pommells is introduced as a student athlete at Thomas University who is also a fashion model and content creator. Kellen Coleman discusses how he discovered Christian through a photographer and was drawn to Christian's unique style. Christian's Background in Athletics and Fashion @ 3:29 Christian shares that athletics, particularly sports like track and field, were her biggest focus growing up. She didn't get into fashion and modeling until college, when a photographer friend helped her get started. Christian's original dream was actually in fashion design rather than modeling. Christian's Experience with NIL Deals @ 4:56 Christian discusses how the transition to NIL (name, image, and likeness) deals has been relatively smooth for her, as her university has done a good job with compliance. She notes that while there are some big brand deals, a lot of the work involves reaching out to brands and applying, rather than just having opportunities fall into your lap. Christian's Olympic Weightlifting Aspirations @ 7:10 Christian reveals that her original sport was Olympic weightlifting in high school, and she plans to return to that after graduating. Her goal is to represent Jamaica in the 2028 Olympics as one of the first female Jamaican weightlifters. She is currently in the process of applying to the Jamaican national team and working on meeting the necessary performance standards. Christian's Perspective on Diversity and Inclusion in Sports @ 12:37 When asked about the debate around transgender athletes competing in women's sports, Christian shares that she doesn't have a definitive opinion, as she believes there is a lot of nuance and complexity to the issue that isn't always captured in the media. She emphasizes the importance of avoiding judgment and trying to understand different perspectives. Christian's Educational and Career Aspirations @ 26:15 Christian discusses her plans to pursue a master's degree in criminology and a doctoral degree in neuropsychology, with the goal of eventually opening her own practice to provide free or reduced-cost services, particularly to underserved populations like veterans. She sees this as a way to leverage her education and platform to give back to the community. Closing Thoughts and Advice @ 34:24 In closing, Christian encourages people to not be afraid to pursue multiple passions and interests, and to find ways to contribute their unique talents and perspectives to the world. She emphasizes the importance of being open-minded, adaptable, and focused on making a positive impact.

AI models are increasingly being used by the fashion industry, as they save time and money. Some models and agencies are fans, but others want to see more protection for the image rights of models. What does it all mean for the fashion industry? The BBC’s Sam Gruet reports.

Vi pratar om boken Pricing Beauty: The Making of a Fashion Model och boken Very Important People: Status and Beauty in the Global Party Circuit, vars beskrivningar och analyser på sätt och vis hänger samman. Intervjuad i avsnittet är Ashley Mears, Professor i sociologi och Chair i kultursociologi och nya medier vid Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. One shameless confession that I have is my love for watching the show "Hannah Montana" on Disney Channel as a kid. The concept of living two different personas as a normal student in the daytime and a rockstar at night spoke to my reality of wanting to be so many things as a child: an actor, a doctor, a dancer, a marine biologist (despite me not knowing how to swim), you name it. This is actually a running theme across our expert guests on the series, who are experts in medicine and science and, at the same time, creatives in their own arenas. Because it's the Holiday season, my gift of a guest to all of you is one truly like Miley Stewart to the pop star on stage. But she is no ordinary girl in the daytime; she actually saves lives and then literally catwalks to the runway and the camera flashes. We are joined in this episode by Emergency Medicine resident physician and signed fashion model Dr. Samantha Tall. She received her BA in Psychology and Linguistics at Emory University and her MD from Meharry Medical College. She is currently completing her medical residency in Brooklyn, New York. In 2019, she became a part of the Brigham and Women's Hospital STARS Program, where she helped find validation of ICD codes in cardiac amyloidosis. Outside of the trauma bay and triage rooms, Dr. Tall is a commercial and runway fashion model who has been featured in Picton Magazine, Your Williamson, and Mundane Magazine. Lee Miller may have been best known in life as a beautiful muse of the legendary Surrealist Man Ray yet, shortly after her passing, a lucky accident led her family to an attic treasure trove, which made her a photography legend in her own right. During this week's podcast, we unpack the details of this extraordinary tale, and hear many other anecdotes from Miller's adventurous life, in a chat with her son and biographer, Antony Penrose. From her swift ascent as a '20s-era Vogue fashion model—and the ad campaign that sidelined her appeal—to her audacious exploits as an accredited war correspondent for the very same magazine, Penrose sheds light on a woman who lived many lives, as exemplified in the title of his first book. Miller's remarkable bravery as a World War II combat photographer was recently immortalized in the feature film “Lee,” starring Kate Winslet, which is another facet of our chat. Penrose describes what it was like to work with the actress as she plumbed Miller's archive for her character development, how she mastered the operation of a custom-made Rolleiflex, and how the camera became a personality in itself as part of the film. Penrose had a troubled relationship with his mother during much of her life, as she struggled with PTSD and the enduring effects wartime atrocities had on her psyche. His reflections on her struggles and her accomplishments reveal the very human core of a creative powerhouse who lived in the moment, in true Surrealist fashion. “This person who I had dismissed as being a useless drunk, now had other dimensions to her, which I was totally astonished by,” recounts Penrose about the treasures she left behind in the attic. “… it had never occurred to me that her career was so distinguished, and so varied, and so absolutely groundbreaking in terms of being a woman war correspondent. And so, that's how it began.” So, pop in your earbuds and listen in… this is an episode you won't want to miss! Above photograph © 2023 Lee Miller Archives, England. Today's episode is a conversation I think is so important to hear because it features Sarah Donner, a brilliant woman who started as a fashion model and is now a hypnotherapist and health coach. She started modelling when she was just 14 years old and while going through teenage body changes, had her whole self-worth focused on a career about her body and what size she was. It was when Sarah transitioned into start-up companies and the tech world that she learned there was so much more to her than her body. Sarah's story and the work she does now are just so inspiring and really drive home the fact that we all think if we were thinner, with model bodies, we'd have more confidence or opportunities. But I think Sarah's story kind of disproves that idea.Sarah speaks frankly about the dark cycle of tying our self-worth to our body size and looks. She explains the struggle to find an identity outside of her looks and the intense imposter syndrome she experienced, and still does, in other careers. We can all identify with that, really, or certainly I can. One of the exciting things about Sarah's journey is her work in hypnotherapy now. Hypnotherapy is not the same thing as hypnosis acts in Vegas or on TV, the two get confused, but it is a tool used to bypass the conscious critical mind which makes us more receptive to new ideas and realizations. Hypnotherapy can be a very useful tool in finding what lies at the root of self-worth or food issues. Like myself, Sarah focuses a lot on coaching toward intuitive eating. Hypnotherapy can help get to the truth of our struggle so that we are free to pursue intuitive eating because unless we can connect with our bodies, we can't hear the signals intuitive eating requires. This conversation with Sarah is so important and I'm really glad you're here listening to it now.About Sarah Donner:Founder of Siva Wellness, Sarah grew up in Germany and started her career in fashion, which allowed me to travel the world at a young age. After finishing her degree in New York City, Sarah pivoted into the start-up world and lived between New York and Europe. She had the privilege to work in some terrific tech startups and is the founding member of an AI-backed beauty company called 2250. Sarah is grateful for her past work experiences but needless to say, living that fast-paced life without the right tools in place left its mark on her and she ended up feeling mentally and physically depleted. She suffered from imposter syndrome and anxiety and was constantly battling all sorts of ailments that traditional medicine could not help her with. That is why she started to look for alternative methods to heal herself, and the journey and results have been remarkable. After receiving her license as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and her Hypnotherapy License from the Center of Integrative Hypnosis, she studied Transpersonal Hypnotherapy with Allison Axinn in Tuscany, Italy. Sarah decided to turn her passion into her career and Siva was born. Siva is for everyone that is ready to implement change with a long lasting effect and without any of the side effects.__Learn more about Sarah Donner:Website: siva-wellness.comInstagramLearn more about Dr. Michelle Tubman and Wayza Health:Website: www.wayzahealth.comFollow me on Facebook and Instagram

Lizanne Falsetto is the Founder and CEO of Betterland Foods. Years before she became a world-renowned CEO, Lizanne Falsetto began her entrepreneurial journey at her kitchen table, inspired both by a family recipe and desire to solve a personal problem. On that table, the original thinkThin bar was created: a revolutionary bar that would become one of the most sought-after health foods on the market. Lizanne is a prescient food pioneer and protein expert who understood the benefits of a high-protein, low-sugar lifestyle 20 years before the widespread adoption of the ketogenic diet. As thinkThin scaled to reach a global audience, Lizanne became the first in the industry to stamp “gluten-free” on product packaging, ultimately paving the way for an entirely new retail category on store shelves: the nutrition bar. Lizanne's original instinct for a clear market opportunity in health food evolved into a 20-year tenure as CEO of one of the fastest-growing health food brands in history. thinkThin was acquired by Glanbia in late 2015. Lizanne founded Betterland Foods on the vision of a kinder, more sustainable food system. She and her team are committed to innovating in several categories to deliver the next evolution of accessible, clean, and protein-rich products that deliver superior taste and health while treading gently on our planet, creating a better food future for all. Lizanne is also an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a board member of the Global Health & Wellness Network, Mayo Clinic Champion, host of the Vitality podcast, and the 2021/2022 Chapter Chair of the Pacific Coast Gold Chapter.
