Bulk season is a time for improvement when it comes to building muscle. Building does not mean putting on unnecessary weight, becoming insulin resistant or negatively impacting your physique. In order to gain muscle and get your metabolism in a healthy place, yes, there will be more food, yes the training may change, and yes, the scale may nudge up a bit. However, by building more quality lean muscle mass and eating optimally for your body you can drop body fat and improve how you look and feel through a proper fat loss phase. But we need to improve your internal health, and the muscle and shape you want, before throwing you into a fat loss phase. It's all part of making sure you can live life without being deprived and making sure your metabolism is in a healthy place. Lean body mass is what will help you gain muscle and strength. Being insulin sensitive, and building lean body mass is essential as you age and enables you to live a longer, healthier life.

Hello and welcome back to the show! *DISCLAIMER* the information provided in this episode is for entertainment and education only and is NOT medical advice xoxo Today I am finally sitting down to record my MOST highly requested episode - performance enhancing drugs in female bodybuilding. As someone who has been very open about using assistance, I get a lot of questions about this and I knew I wanted to do this topic justice. So, I invited my very own coach, Mr Christian Chapman (@coachedbychristian on IG) to discuss the ins and outs of PED use in female bodybuilding, both from a theoretical side but also a practical side and what ACTUALLY is used. We discuss: - androgenic and non-androgenic assistance - TRT/HRT - individual responses to drugs - what to consider before being assisted - what actual female drug use looks like among varying competitor levels - risks/side effects/etc This is part 1, and next week I am going to discuss my own journey at length from making the decision to go down this route, and my experience and what I've learned so far. If you have any questions about that, shoot them to me on IG! Thank you for listening and I hope you learned something. Thanks for listening to another episode of the Womensmaximumfitness podcast. I recorded this episode way back in early January of 2021 and was hesitant to share it as the Womensmaximumfitness podcast was very much in its infancy and I didn’t want the focus of the podcast to be about drugs, but rather about the female bodybuilding athletes personal stories. What they desired to freely share was and always will be without judgement, and I’ll never be the one to bring up the topic with a guest on the podcast unbeknownst to her. Thus far the podcast has proved to be encouraging and empowering as well as educating towards women at whatever level of health/athleticism they reside or strive to be at. This WomensMaximumFitness podcast promises to be a safe place for exactly that with my guests and I feel at this time that theme has become well established. So here you go! I’m thankful to Jamie for willingly providing knowledge from research and of course experience and case studies through clients. She did speak openly about this taboo subject so as to help educate both listeners, and myself as well. Drugs are definitely a part of this sport at the top level, and I enjoy learning about all aspects of bodybuilding PED use included. That being said, all the views shared are not necessarily my views, and in particular (disclaimer) I have to say I personally love Dana Lynn Bailey and have no idea if she’s natural or enhanced. Straight to the point this is a raw episode about female use of steroids in bodybuilding from the perspective of IFBB Pro Jamie Pinder. Jamie is a women’s physique pro and a coach adamant about “as safe as possible” performance enhancing drug use in the sport of bodybuilding. I did my best to ask pertinent questions. Any other questions can be directed to Jamie. She absolutely welcomes this topic of discussion. Her Instagram is @jamiepinder14 Disclaimer: Listener discretion is advised. Neither I nor Jamie are medical doctors and the information presented is for entertainment purposes only. PED’s are still illegal in many parts of the world including the US where we reside.
In today's episode, Penny is chatting with Jade-Kelsie Wolfenden. Jade is an IFBB pro bodybuilder in the bikini category. Her journey to stage started at a young age after finding out her mum used to compete. The road to stage isn't easy it takes a lot of hard work and determination. Jade also talks about her epilepsy and how training help keeps hers at bay. If this is something you are thinking about doing I really suggest giving this a listen. Jade has worked hard on her journey and now helps others with their road to stage. If you like what you hear please rate & review it really means a lot.Jade can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/jadekelsie_ifbbpro/The federations spoken about can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/pca_official/ - https://www.instagram.com/2brospro_events/To find out more about up and coming guest check out:https://www.facebook.com/ChattySoulhttps://www.instagram.com/penny_herne/

Women in the Gym used to be just Bodybuilders, now they do it all Women who workout hard develop the gym culture, enhance the gym experience and redefine #gymlife. When once, every female who lifted was a competitive bodybuilder or former one, times have conceded to welcome badass women who lift! In fact, women participating in mma & fighting, modern bodybuilding and traditional sports have finally become more a welcome norm instead of some impressive curiosity. Female Bodybuilding died but sowed the seeds for a TON of other bodybuilding avenues for women Always remember, bodybuilders were here (in the gym) first! And, even though the bodybuilding category has diminished, the uproots for new atheltic expressions ever expands. (10.04) Shift in bodybuilding (23.30) #1 People stare at the gym, don't let it get to you (27.35) #2 Workouts with your husband/partner/paramour/side piece and separate motivation (34.53) #3 Weigh-ins are rough on everyone involved (44.36) #(bonus)4 Fear not the heavy weights, they won't bulk you up Check out my 3 tips women can watch out for, according to your coach! Common to many women who lift, I can explain these three or four concerns many women experience at the gym. Don't allow others to influence what is YOUR time to work on your fitness and your body! Checking our ego means busting down what we think works in order to get better. Like the time my coach tried to legally manslaughter me and how this broke down my comfort bubble. Remember, someone you know is in the gym right now, looking a bit sloppier and they need YOU to help them shed their "old skin," their ego in order to progress! Sometimes, this means choosing between lifting weights and doing cardio - we cover which to spend more time doing which. I'm so excited to have had the chance to get on the podcast to chat with Dr. John Rusin and touch on some of the common myths surrounding females and fitness. One of the best parts of my job is having the opportunity to work with so many different people including both men and women, but one thing that doesn't change much in my programming is the style of training. I get so many questions from women about how they should manipulate their male partner's lifting program to suit themselves, whether they should be lifting higher reps as opposed to lower, etc. the list goes on. I hope in this podcast we were able to bust some of those myths and encourage women to lift heavy to build the body they want and to embrace their strength! To see more examples of my day to day training and workouts as well as answers to training questions please subscribe to my YouTube channel where I share all of my best tips and tricks for beginners as well as seasoned lifters! A chat with 8x Ms. Olympia Lenda Murray about the world of Female Bodybuilding.
Latia del Riviero grew up without a lot of ideas about athletics. In fact, she was never involved in one. She was a very frail student who had to avoid any strenuous activity unless she wanted to die young. Her doctor had already warned her that her heart might not be able to take too much stress. So while most kids her age were playing Double Dutch or running around, she sat in the sidelines, wishing she would be able to do the same things they did and get more experience out of her childhood. A Totally Different Plan Despite her heart condition, however, she created big dreams for herself. She did not want to be a doctor or teacher, which most of the other kids aspired to be. Instead, she wanted to be part of the elite defense force called the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working hopefully as a profiler. Because she did not have a lot of extensive childhood activities, she was able to spend more with her mind. This interest then fueled such desire. Read Full Story...
