We live in the most connected time in human history, video calls across the world, instant messages, and same-day delivery for just about anything we want. And yet we've also become the loneliest society ever. How did that happen? In this episode, I explore why modern life has left so many of us feeling isolated, what author Johann Hari discovered while investigating the root causes of depression and anxiety, and how rebuilding real human connection might be the antidote we've been missing. For more go to: www.scottmlynch.comLevel up your life by joining my Patreon where you'll get exclusive content every week and more badass offerings (rips t-shirt in half, Hulk Hogan style, and runs around the room). After we die, we are all going to be judged. But who will judge us? And why? Today, we will see how this plays out with two people who just recently passed away: Ozzie Osbourne from Black Sabbath and Hulk Hogan. What we will learn is that they both will be judged, but differently.

Listen and here what caused the end of this friendship. As his career in the WWF skyrocketed, so didn't Hart's pay... signed to an unusual deal... In this episode of "Normal World," Dave Landau, 1/4 Black Garrett, and Angela open with headlines out of Las Vegas, where an Israeli official was arrested for soliciting a minor, alongside lighter coverage of Snoop Dogg making the news for smoking marijuana. The tone pivots quickly to comedy as Dave recounts performing for 17,000 fans in Detroit alongside Shane Gillis, reflecting on the differences between intimate clubs, theaters, and massive arenas. From there, the conversation moves into sports and spectacle, revisiting the infamous Malice at the Palace with Ron Artest, debates over male cheerleaders in the NFL, and UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis. Wrestling legends including Diamond Dallas Page, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Randy Savage, The Undertaker, Roddy Piper, and Dave Bautista all come up. The crew then explores music and pop culture, from DJ Jazzy Jeff and New Kids on the Block to Will Smith's troubled freestyle, Shia LaBeouf's eclectic performances, and the value of great movie soundtracks. They also riff on NFL end zone slogans like “End Racism,” revisit 1990s fashion trends such as frosted tips and puka shells, and discuss scandals involving Bob Crane, Patrice O'Neal's comedy legacy, and the Natalie Holloway case.Today's guest on "Normal World" is Gerard Michaels. This episode of The Higher Standard pulls back the curtain on the Fed's $2 trillion “magic trick” that never makes the headlines. Chris, Saied, and Rajeil break down how the overnight reverse repo facility works like a no-risk money parking garage for banks—one so massive it once held enough cash to buy every home in New York City twice. Add in a little history lesson on the Fed literally locking away gold in the 1930s to keep money out of circulation, and you've got a playbook of hidden levers that shape the economy while the average person is left scratching their head. Spoiler: it's less about Main Street and more about keeping Wall Street on life support.➡️ But this isn't just charts and jargon—expect sushi horror stories, octopus debates, Hulk Hogan controversies, and even a detour into alien tech possibly cruising toward Earth (thanks, Harvard). The crew wrestles with the big question: are these financial maneuvers protecting consumers, or just quietly bailing out the system? Either way, the laughs hit as hard as the lessons. Welcome back to the only financial literacy podcast that can connect the Fed's shadow moves to turtle mating rituals without missing a beat.

Intermittent fasting isn't a diet; it's about when you eat, not what you eat. For the last two years, I've been unintentionally doing a 16-hour fast every day. I didn't plan it, and I definitely didn't expect it to stick. So I decided to dive into the latest science and expert opinions to see what's really going on. I love organization. Maybe it's the minimalist in me, or the perfectionist, but there's something deeply satisfying about turning chaos into order. The problem is, most organizing advice online seems designed for people with infinite time, money, and storage space (and no kids). Cori and Nina chit-chat about things that have nothing to do with gender: heat indices, ducktails, cat poop, impermanence, Hulk Hogan, Conway's Game of Life, Michigan in the summer, Permethrin, online shopping, Spaceballs, elephants, and The Book of Job. But other topics in our wandering conversation are inevitably related to gender: Psycho, synthetic blue velvet dresses, hijabs, and a recently-deceased poet. As always, we ask the important questions: Why would God create mosquitoes? Does Reality exist beyond our perceptions? Why is 24fps better than 25fps for animators? Does Nina's loss of her female tonsils make her less of a woman? How many hats does Cori have? But what about a game that isn't bad, but isn't good? It's just kinda, there? That's how I'd describe WCW Mayhem. The glory days of WCW were long gone by the time Mayhem dropped. THQ was taking their Revenge engine and turning it into WWF WrestleMania 2000, and EA picked up the bony remains of World Championship Wrestling to make a new wrestling game. The end result was Mayhem, a competent wrestling game with little replay value and a barebones career mode.I'm rolling solo this week, and while I still had fun playing WCW Mayhem, it made for a tricky review because there just isn't a lot of meat on the bone. But between the engine, ranting about Hulk Hogan, comparing it to other games from that era, and reminiscing about WCW as a whole, I managed to pry a 3-star match out of our game this week. And before we hit the ring, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week, someone asks if I think the big jumps in console generations are a thing of the past? What's my favourite WCW match? And where do I stand on the Pikmin series?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 WCW "classics": WCW vs nWo World Tour, WCW Thunder, and WCW Backstage Assault.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

On the 110th Episode of Dorm Damage With Tom & Zeus pay tribute to wrestling legend Hulk Hogan! Hulk Hogan transcended wrestling. He was a pop culture icon and to many a part of their childhood. Considered the biggest star in wrestling history, he along with Vince McMahon changed wrestling and brought into the mainstream. Tom & Zeus pay respect to the Hulkster and share their stories. So whatcha gonna do when the legend of Hulkamania runs wild on you!
