Greg and Dane travel the world from New York to London to Paris to Tokyo on this old WWF Coliseum Video VHS, which was recently uploaded to the WWE Vault YouTube channel. We'll see Bret Hart face Dino Bravo, Hulk Hogan face Randy Savage in Paris, and see TEMU Jewel Staite in a pink wig? NOTE: We recorded this episode last Tuesday before AEW Double or Nothing 2025, so for fun, hear our thoughts about how we thought the card was gonna go in the current wrestling discussion at the start.
I sat down with Alex Terranova, whose journey from emotionally disconnected bar manager in Venice Beach to thoughtful men's work facilitator really struck me. Growing up in 1980s LA, Alex absorbed impossible masculine ideals from action heroes and magazine covers—he admits to getting a Hulk Hogan workout set at eight years old, thinking he needed to bulk up to become a man. What hit me most was his honesty about the emotional flatlining that followed heartbreak in his twenties, where his family genuinely wondered if he cared about anything anymore. His breakthrough came unexpectedly during a family dinner in Costa Rica, when a simple gratitude exercise completely cracked him open and left him sobbing in front of confused relatives. From there, he dove into intensive coaching training—what he calls a complete firmware update. Our conversation about cold plunging was fascinating; Alex discovered that learning to regulate his nervous system in freezing water translated directly to staying grounded when life gets chaotic. His perspective on taking full responsibility while rejecting the lone wolf mythology really resonated with me. We all know adversity is coming, but Alex's story illustrates something crucial: some people actually develop the tools to remain present and steady when the waves inevitably hit.Website
There are moments when sitting down to do something meaningful feels physically uncomfortable, like your brain is actively protesting. You open your laptop with the best intentions, and five minutes later, you're in a black hole of browser tabs, group chats, and a suspicious number of snack breaks. Why is it so hard to focus, especially on the stuff that actually matters? In this episode, I unpack the science behind that resistance, why our brains crave distraction, how dopamine has hijacked our motivation system, and why chasing pleasure might be the exact thing pulling us away from purpose. For more go to: www.scottmlynch.comLevel up your life by joining my Patreon where you'll get exclusive content every week and more badass offerings (rips t-shirt in half, Hulk Hogan style, and runs around the room). Kevin Nash is not manning the grill this Memorial Day—he's lighting up the mic. In this week's episode, Kev and Sean chop it up over NBA playoff chaos, post-streaming residual despair, and what happens when you trust a 19-year-old with your house (spoiler: you shouldn't). If you've ever wondered how to fix a double knockdown in a wrestling match, why Logan Paul still hasn't figured out pacing, or which luggage brand survives airport abuse, Big Kev has thoughts. Lots of them. Some rants, some philosophy, all gold. Sean tries to bait Kevin into grilling tips and apron-wearing fantasy scenarios. Kevin counters with grass-fed burgers, George Foreman realism, and a rock-solid “hell no.” Also: someone wants to know if Tony Khan is a crackhead. Kevin's answer is...complicated. We get another dose of "Dear Sexy," a series of real-life letters answered with Nash logic. This time it involves house-sitting betrayals and surprise parties that aren't so surprising. One thing's clear—Kevin may not be on the road like he used to, but his takes still travel. From international breakfasts to AEW barbs and WrestleMania venue rumors, this episode doesn't coast. Most self-help advice makes me cringe. Vision boards, “manifesting,” and the whole daily affirmation thing? Yeah, I've always put that in the woo-woo category. But lately, I've been stuck in my head, wrestling with self-doubt, perfectionism, and the classic case of overthinking everything. So I decided to try something that made me deeply uncomfortable: staring at myself in the mirror and saying things like “I am enough.” And no, I didn't spontaneously combust from secondhand embarrassment. In this episode, I test daily affirmations for a week, even the corny ones, and rope my wife into writing a few that are, well, questionable at best. For more go to: www.scottmlynch.comLevel up your life by joining my Patreon where you'll get exclusive content every week and more badass offerings (rips t-shirt in half, Hulk Hogan style, and runs around the room). What's up, dudes? It's all about WWF Prime Time Wrestling Christmas 1987, battle royale style with Jeremy Phelps the Alamo City Santa, Ron from the Film Strip podcast, Joe from Now Watch This, Manny from Feliz Christmas, Merry Navidad, and CJ from Rose Suchak Ladder! We talk Bobby the Brain and Gorilla! Also, we dive into Hogan and Dibiasi! We body slam Strike Force and the Islanders! This episode has it all!Airing December 21, 1987, the matches begin with Hercules taking on Junkyard Dog. After a double clothesline, Hercules pins JYD with help from the ropes. Following that, the Conquistadors fight the Young Stallions. There follows a scissor flip, several chokeholds, a shot to the midsection and flip and drop kick for the Stallions victory. Next, in a promo, Hulk turns down Ted Dibiasi's offer to buy the championship.Iron Mike Sharpe and Ultimate Warrior fight, with the latter slamming the former's face into the turnbuckle. Meanwhile, Bobby and Gorilla argue about gift giving, and plug the free Royal Rumble matchup on USA. Also, Ted Dibiasi's talks about how he spent his Thanksgiving: with money! Hacksaw Jim Duggan performed a football charge to pin Rex King. Subsequently, Danny Houston was counted out of the ring giving Danny Davis the win. As well, Brutus the Barber Beefcake did a promo about his barber's tool, calling out Greg Valentine. Then Brain gives Gorilla a box of stolen junk from Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City! Finally, Strike Force—Rick Martel and Tito Santana—collided with the monstrous Islanders, Haku and Tama. It's a brutal beatdown, eventually all wrestlers fighting outside the ring. The Islanders win by count out but didn't win the belt!Royal Rumble plug? Once. Weasel chant? A few times. Falling outside the ring Constantly! First up, in our Overachievers segment, we meet Mitch Hutchcraft, an ex-royal marine who’s officially done too much. He swam the English Channel, biked 12,000km to India, ran to Kathmandu, and trekked to Everest Base Camp—dodging dogs, dodging bullets, and surviving car crashes. Meanwhile, we get puffed walking to the servo. Then it’s all about baby talk... for dogs! A new study reveals that pups actually prefer that high-pitched, cringey baby voice. Yep, their brains light up like fairy lights when we go full goo-goo gaga. In the Glossy’s, Pedro Pascal brings his rave energy to The Last of Us, Kim Kardashian drops a faux-nipple bra, Hulk Hogan bids to save Hooters (yes, really), and the Biebers prove that love means saying sorry for doubting your wife’s Vogue cover dreams. Also, 10 prisoners escape by removing a toilet, and over in Korea, people are winning competitions by doing absolutely nothing. Sounds like Joel’s kind of sport.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week, I've got more thoughts on the death of ECW legend Sabu, including Rob Van Dam on why a cause of death has yet to be revealed, and a Yahoo Sports article with quotes from Joey Janela that made GCW come across very badly. When I launched this podcast six years ago, I imagined big things: millions of downloads, awards, and overnight success. But that's not what happened. Instead, I got eight downloads. And no, that's not a metaphor. In this episode, I share what actually kept me going when no one was listening. It wasn't hustle. It wasn't motivation.
