Join us for a discussion about creating investment systems that help you in business and your portfolio. Rob Wolff is the founder of Digital Asset News. One of my favorite parts of this interview is his framework for investing. This segment alone is well worth your time. Rob first learned about Bitcoin in 2012 when his son told him about a friend who wanted to sell 500 bitcoins for $500. Rob was initially skeptical, but after seeing Bitcoin's price rise to $1,000 in 2013 and then $5,000 in 2017, he decided to start investing. He went through cycles of gains and losses but ultimately decided to keep investing through dollar-cost averaging. Building Digital Asset News In 2019, as Rob's friends and family grew tired of him talking about Bitcoin, he decided to start the Digital Asset News YouTube channel to share his insights with a wider audience. The channel has now grown to over 350,000 subscribers, with Rob and his team using a system to research, curate, and present daily crypto news and analysis. Investment Principles and Strategies Rob discusses his key investment principles. My favorite was #5. Take profits along the way. He also talks about diversifying across different asset classes like real estate and small businesses. Building a Productive Routine and Lifestyle Rob shares how he has structured his life and daily routine to maximize his time and minimize stress. He emphasizes the importance of simplicity and removing unnecessary burdens, rather than constantly adding more possessions or obligations. Rob's morning routine of walking the dogs, drinking coffee, and working out helps him prepare for the day's tasks. Recommendations Rob recommends the book "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius and the writings of Ryan Holiday as great resources for developing a stoic, systematic approach to life and leadership. He also invites the listener to check out the Digital Asset News YouTube channel for more of his insights on crypto and investing. You can learn more about Rob Wolff over at Digital Asset News. You can also connect with him on Twitter/X. As always, if you have any questions or want to submit a guest for the podcast that you think would be amazing, just reach out to me on the Systematic Leader website, and I'll do my best to get them on. If you enjoy the interview, please take 30 seconds to rate the Systematic Leader podcast on your favorite platform. Thanks!

He highlights the transparency and limited supply of bitcoin as factors attracting investors seeking to safeguard their assets.  Chapters   | **Timestamp** | **Summary** | | ------------- | ----------- | | 0:00:01 | Introduction to the podcast and topic of betting against government spending | | 0:01:29 | Introduction to Wealthbuildingmatesimple US newsletter | | 0:02:09 | Explanation of the movie "The Big Short" and understanding debt | | 0:04:23 | Debt accumulation in the system and the transfer to governments | | 0:06:27 | Increase in money supply to absorb debt and manipulation of interest rates | | 0:08:02 | Explanation of market movements and the tipping point | | 0:10:36 | Introduction to bitcoin as a solution to government debt default | | 0:12:14 | Comparison of bitcoin to the banking system and gold | | 0:15:21 | Money gravitating towards bitcoin as protection against inflation and defaults | | 0:17:50 | Bitcoin as the arc to protect value in the next economy | Quotes "No, debt is debt, whether it's on an individual, whether it's on a company, or whether it's on a country." "If you look at an individual's income, if their expenses are more than their income and the expenses are growing at a higher rate than their income is growing, then you can just do the math and say, at some point in time, they're not going to be extended credit anymore and their financial system blows up." "Debt had been accumulating in the system for a while, really since the 70s, when we came off the gold standard, which was kind of a US default.  We defaulted on our promise to exchange dollars for gold for our international trading partners who stored their gold here.” "We need a way to short government debt that will protect our money when that happens." "For a period of time, it appeared as if there was no problem because interest rates stayed relatively low for a long period of time. You're able to suppress and manipulate energy for a period of time, but for every action, there's an opposite and equal reaction." "The tipping point is when the majority of the market comes to realize something, then you see the movement in the market." "The fire (overindebtedness) never went out.  The fire transferred to the government balance sheet." "Bitcoin, from what I understand and believe from what I'm seeing from my research and where I put my money, is the arc that's attracting more and more money to protect from all these governments having to wash away these debts through massive defaults and inflation." Got a question for the trio? - https://zfrmz.com/uLtjhyBskV96PY6eJfaIhttps://propertyplanning.com.au/propertyplannerbuyerprofessor/In this week's episode Dave, Cate and Pete take you through:Weekly Market Updates1. Adelaide market losing steamPete reports that there are not as many people at auction and less offers coming in prior to auction. Whilst the Adelaide market is still on the rise, it isn't increasing at the same rate as a month and a year ago. CoreLogic figures released this week show 0.4% increase over July.2. Rental squeezeCate shares an interesting article that she read on the weekend, highlighting the Victorian rental reforms to be a failure and go too far. With the pool of rentals eroding, vacancy rates reducing and rents on the upward trend, are the reforms pushing investors out of the market with their onerous requirements?3. Where is the neutral cash rate?Dave shares his updated predictions on where the neutral cash rate could lie (2-2.5%). The current cash rate of 1.35% is above the level of June 2019 and almost double the pre-pandemic level. With a 0.5% rise expected today, the new 1.85% cash rate will be the highest since July 2016. This sparks concern that the RBA is going too hard and too fast. Inflation is a concern, but not at the expense of household wealth and jobs. Figures from Westpac show that while 29% of borrowers are a year ahead of repayments, 50% are less than one month ahead.Visit the show notes - https://propertyplanning.com.au/analysing-regional-locations-what-investment-principles-can-be-gleaned-from-the-highest-performing-regions-in-each-state-comparing-capital-city-vs-regional-performance-from-2003-b/

These investing principles will help you prosper  The world is a strange place at the moment and it's certainly a difficult one to navigate, especially in the world of investing.  It's the most interesting time for not only the property market but every market out there.  If you joined us on the podcast last week or have managed to get your hands on Rob D's new book you'll know exactly where we are right now and what the financial environment of the future will look like, giving you that edge when you're deciding what to invest in.  But we're about to make it even easier for you as Rob & Rob reveal the five investment principles that will make you wealthy. If you harness these principles not only will navigating the market become easier for you, but you'll prosper as a result.  So be sure to tune in – you won't want to miss out on this.  In the news We've got a huge news story for you this week, in fact, it's so big we think we're going to have to cover it in a lot more detail over the coming weeks.  And there's plenty of headlines as the government have released a white paper on how they plan to create a fairer private rental sector.  Now there's a lot to dig further into but some of the biggest headlines were the end of section 21 and new legislation involving tenants and their pets.  Tune in and hear what the guys have got to say.  Hub Extra  Now we don't usually give out an anti-recommendation but there's a first for everything!  Rob B was excited to get his hands on the Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty, but was pretty disappointed as he didn't think it was worth the hype. Not every recommendation is a winner but this one was a hard hitter as it's got so many amazing reviews...  But don't worry, we can't let you walk away without a good recommendation! Thankfully Rob stumbled across Dopesick on Disney+ which follows the same story of the Sackler family and their involvement in the opioid crisis in America.  Let's get social We'd love to hear what you think of this week's Property Podcast over on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You might even have a topic you'd like us to cover in the future - if so, pop us a message on social and we'll see what we can do.  Make sure you've liked and subscribed to our YouTube channel where we upload new content every week!   If that wasn't enough, you can also join our friendly property community on the Property Hub forum.  And if you'd like to find out more information about Portfolio you can do that here.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
