Welcome to Halloween Boutique Psychotronic Reviews theme month. June has been designated as Pride Month for the LGBT community. So to fit with the month, once again the podcast has decided to review various art house lesbian films as we did last year. To start off, we discuss the 2017 film ALLURE.Laura (Evan Rachel Wood) works as a home cleaning service for her father and his company. While starting a new client in a wealthy home, she meets a 16 year old girl named Eva (Julia Sarah Stone). Eva quickly becomes interested in the alternative-dressed and interesting woman that Laura is. Soon a bond happens between the two. But one wonders what Laura's true intentions are.The film is directed and written as a team by Carlos and Jason Sanchez. The cast also includes Denis O'Hare and Maxim Roy. The movie is a Canadian production that originally was released at TIFF in 2017 before going wide (to VOD) in Q2 2018. Your co-hosts take a look at this interesting film that is as much arthouse as it is grindhouse.
Jason Sanchez saw the Lord do something new that he would never have believed.
Dr. Jason Sanchez from Infectious disease specialist joins us to talk about a concerning Measles outbreak in Minnesota.
From the configuration of the jury to gauging the emotional temperature of each juror, life in the courtroom is feeling much different than it did before COVID. On this episode of The Justice Team Podcast, Brandon Simon welcomes Bernard Alexander, Harry Plotkin, Claire Plotkin, and Jason Sanchez to discuss how it's all changed and how it's affecting every verdict.
At only eight years old Jason was already crying himself to sleep and hating his life. The sting of rejection catapulted him into the very things that produced what he hated. Anything would do to give him the temporary fix and make the rejection he felt bearable. Before long he was dealing drugs and high daily with no hope of a different life. Each year he would be surprised he had survived to another birthday. Yet somehow deep in his soul he knew there was a god and just in case this god could hear he decided to ask him for three specific things. He didn't know who God was, but God saw him and He heard Him. Listen to this amazing story of powerful conversion, timely Destiny and A GOD WHO HEARS.

Don't mind the children in the background, God calls them a blessing and they tire out way before we do
Psalm 27The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh,my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear;though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble;he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me,and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;I will sing and make melody to the Lord.7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me!8 You have said, “Seek my face.”My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”9 Hide not your face from me.Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help.Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.11 Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies.12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Leadership Lesson Podcast: Season 3 Episode 6 - The Way God Works Jason Sanchez, Director of House of Blessing Orphanage in Bachiniva, Chihuahua, Mexico shares the story of how God called his family to this ministry seven years ago. They went by faith in obedience to the Lord, not knowing much else at the time. Philippians 4:6-7 has become a life verse: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Taking encouragement from Paul’s somewhat bumpy journey described in Acts 16, Jason talks about the way God works through life’s rollercoaster experiences in ministry. You can read more about Jason and this ministry online at www.thehouseofblessing.org QUOTES: “Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything.” -Jason Sanchez “When God calls us to places, hopefully we can be a disturbance, in a good way, because God is doing something through us.” -Jason Sanchez “There have been times in Mexico when I thought I had made the worst mistake of my life. That is the time when we need to be worshipping and praying.” -Jason Sanchez “Even though we think God may have forsaken us, God is using those pits and valleys to mold us and shape us.” -Jason Sanchez ‘What seemed to be game-changing, life-ending, painful difficulty was only one more step to a greater and better thing that God had done.” -Jason Sanchez 3 MINUTE MESSAGE: God Will Direct Your Path by Chuck Lind | Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Isaiah 9:6 - Jason Sanchez by Calvary Ballard
Guest speaker Jason Sanchez shares a message from Isaiah 9:6-7 and encourages us to remind ourselves of all the things God has done this New Year.
Guest speaker Jason Sanchez shares a message from Isaiah 9:6-7 and encourages us to remind ourselves of all the things God has done this New Year.
Raised in a godly home and church, Jason Sanchez had a good foundation to build upon, instead through his rebellion he chose to wander in the desert, just as the children of Israel did. He pursued his idols until God crushed each and every one. The long-suffering of God is displayed in the life of this Once Dead, but now by God's grace, Kingdom-Driven, ambassador of the King.
Acts 16:6-40 6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. 7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. 8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.11 So, setting sail from Troas, we made a direct voyage to Samothrace, and the following day to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We remained in this city some days. 13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to the riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together. 14 One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. 15 And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us.16 As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and us, crying out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.” 18 And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour.19 But when her owners saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers. 20 And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men are Jews, and they are disturbing our city. 21 They advocate customs that are not lawful for us as Romans to accept or practice.” 22 The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders to beat them with rods. 23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. 24 Having received this order, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, 26 and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were unfastened. 27 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” 29 And the jailer[e] called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family. 34 Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he rejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.35 But when it was day, the magistrates sent the police, saying, “Let those men go.”36 And the jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go. Therefore come out now and go in peace.” 37 But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.” 38 The police reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens.39 So they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and asked them to leave the city. 40 So they went out of the prison and visited Lydia. And when they had seen the brothers, they encouraged them and departed.

Happy Friday the 13th! KyberSwap introduces a fiat on-ramp, EOS will undergo a hard fork, and the Libra Association is staying firm on the launch of the Libra cryptocurrency. ☕ Buy Me A Coffee: https://glow.fm/mota Libra Stays Firm On Launch The Libra Association is staying firm on the launch of the Libra cryptocurrency. In an interview with French publication Les Echos, Libra managing director and COO Bertrand Perez addressed the concerns of regulators about Libra posing a threat to financial stability, stating that “It is their monetary policies that will influence the Libra through the basket and not the other way around.” He added that the reserve will be invested in the basket currencies and in very short-term government debt. He also said that the reserve would amount to no more than $200 billion. Perez readdressed that the U.S. dollar should have at least half the weight of the basket and that “If there is a catastrophe on a currency or a crisis between now and the Libra [launch], we could remove it from the basket, but this decision should be put to the vote and taken by a two-thirds majority of the members of the association.” Perez ended with saying that the Libra Association is firmly maintaining their launch schedule, between the end of the first half of the year and the end of 2020. BitPay Receives Backlash namecheap.com is exploring options to switch from BitPay to another provider. EE Leaders | Leadership Lessons Season 1 Episode 24 - Spiritual Warfare It’s the final episode of EE Leaders Season 1! (Don’t worry, Season 2 is coming up.) It’s been a great first season, and as Pastor Daniel says, “It’s all been by God’s grace.” If you haven’t heard all the episodes, they are available now to watch or listen to and share with your friends in ministry (see link below). In this episode, Pastor Daniel talks in depth with his dad, Pastor Joe Williams, Calvary Chapel of Tacoma (Washington) about spiritual warfare, what it is and how it affects the daily life of every Christian on earth. What does the Bible say about demonic activity? Every person who lives for God is going to face opposition. But Satan is a defeated foe. God has given us the tools to fight to defeat him. As Christians, we need to learn to use the weapons of spiritual warfare that God has given us. Knowing the word of God, spending time in prayer with Him, and gathering together with other believers to stand united against the enemy. Pastor Joe gives us a great encouragement to walk in the power of the name of Jesus Christ. You’ll be blessed! In this week’s One Piece of Advice, Jason Sanchez, Director of House of Blessing Orphanage in Bachiniva, Mexico shares his advice about the importance of humility. One Piece of Advice | Humility Jason Sanchez, Director of House of Blessing, Bachiniva, Mexico, shares his advice to stay humble. “Humility is crucial for leaders and pastors because it is our human nature, especially in a position of leadership and power where people look up to you…to naturally, in our flesh, let that puff us up.” We end up thinking we’re something we’re not and somehow we reach a status where we’re not so reliant on the Lord. James 4:10 instructs us: Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. This is the great lesson the Lord taught Jason when he and his wife moved from Washington to Mexico to start an orphanage. The move put him in an unfamiliar position of receiving praise and applause not only from believers but especially from unbelievers in the local communities. “Directing an orphanage, working with orphans, draws the attention and admiration of everyone—the affirmation from unbelievers put me in a scary spot. That’s when the Lord brought it to my attention, to stay humble.” Jason talks about how you can do that. “Put checks and balances in your life where you can humble yourself. Sweep a floor. Take the trash out. Keep it in the forefront of your mind.” You can follow Jason at thehouseofblessing.org ___ Quotes: “The devil is real…Whatever you do for the kingdom of God, he is going to try to stop you.” -Joe Williams “Wherever the gospel is preached, there’s always been opposition. You will have opposition.” -Joe Williams “Spiritual warfare began when you became a Christian.” -Joe Williams “God has given us the tools to defeat the enemy.” -Joe Williams “Don’t walk in fear of the devil. Fight spiritual warfare in the power of the Spirit and the word of God.” -Joe Williams ___ Links: Links: Contact Daniel: daniel@eeleaders.com Leadership Lessons/One Piece of Advice/Blog/Recommended Books: eeleaders.com
EE Leaders | Leadership Lessons Season 1: Episode 9 - Being Flexible It’s no surprise to any of us. Things don’t always go as we planned. And so we have to be flexible. In this week’s episode, Pastor Daniel talks with his good friend Jason Sanchez, Director of House of Blessing Orphanage in Bachiniva, Mexico—a man well acquainted with the need to be flexible. Jason and his wife Jackie moved with their daughter Ayantu to Bachiniva in 2012 to start an orphanage, House of Blessing, where they are co-directors, along with a staff of four and interns and volunteers who serve short-term. They currently have 15 children in the orphanage, 5 boys and 10 girls, ranging in age from 3 to 16 years. How has he seen his plans not go according to plan in his ministry there? “My plans never go according to plan, especially in Mexico…Even now, five years later, it is still hard to get used to.” So how did being flexible work with that, how did you deal with it? Jason describes the process of first trying to fix it, to change the way it was and seeing his efforts prove to be futile, then crying out to God for help in getting done what God had clearly called them to do. Most of us know Proverbs 16:9: The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. We can quote it, but then when it actually happens that our plans don’t work out, we don’t like dealing with it. But you have to be flexible. God is the one in control. Where does planning fit in being flexible? Looking to Jesus as our example, we see that He knew where He was going, He was headed in a certain direction, but He stopped for people and gave them His time and attention, even when it was difficult or inconvenient. Jesus dealt with interruptions and distractions as opportunities to fulfill the Father’s plan. We need to know that God has the final say. And work on not stressing out when things don’t go the way you planned. …do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6) Some final words of encouragement from Jason: If you really want to grow in this area of flexibility, look for an opportunity for a cross-cultural experience. Go on a missions trip. You can reach Jason at thehouseofblessing.org on FB as Bachiniva Orphanage. This week’s One Piece of Advice fits right in with this idea of learning to handle stress—don’t freak out. God is in control. ___ Quotes: “God, if we’re really going to live down here and do this, then you’ve got to change me, personally, in how to adapt to this. Because it was very hard and very, very frustrating.” -Jason Sanchez “In America, we go, go, go. We do, do, do. Maybe it’s planning your schedule to allow for some flex time.” -Jason Sanchez “Pray: ‘God, give me the spirit of flexibility.’ Pray for openness. ‘Lord, I literally want my plan to go according to your way.’” -Jason Sanchez “We think of God working through us in ministry. God wants to work in us through ministry." -Adam Parsons “Anything that has come into my life or your life, God has a unique purpose for.” -Adam Parsons
