La primera jornada de test de pretemporada en Baréin nos ha dejado un panorama lleno de contrastes: mientras algunos equipos acumularon un valioso kilometraje de cara a la adaptación a la nueva unidad de potencia de 2026, otros vivieron un día para olvidar. Raúl Molina, en el Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1, nos lo cuenta todo con pelos y señales. Aston Martin sufre en su primer día. El caso más evidente de mal día ha sido Aston Martin, que apenas ha podido completar 36 vueltas debido a problemas en su motor, cuya naturaleza no ha trascendido, y que condicionaron por completo su programa de trabajo. En el otro extremo, Williams fue el equipo más activo con 145 vueltas, seguido de Red Bull (136), Ferrari (132) y Audi (122). También ha destacado el sólido rodaje de McLaren, que cerró la jornada con 112 vueltas. Entre los más afectados por incidencias estuvieron Mercedes, que perdió prácticamente toda la tarde con Kimi Antonelli, aunque el joven piloto logró igualar en apenas una hora el kilometraje total de Aston; y Racing Bulls, detenidos desde las tres de la tarde por problemas mecánicos. Además, se produjeron paradas en pista sin mayores consecuencias para Nico Hülkenberg (Audi) y Franco Colapinto (Alpine). ¿Qué se ha trabajado hoy? El foco principal del día estuvo en la adaptación de pilotos y equipos a los profundos cambios introducidos en la unidad de potencia de 2026. Todos han trabajado intensamente en la gestión de la energía eléctrica: desde los puntos de recuperación, pasando por las técnicas de lift and coast, hasta la duración de la carga a lo largo de la vuelta. También se han evaluado las distintas formas de generar energía (no sólo mediante la frenada, sino también acelerando o subiendo marchas, aprovechando el motor térmico como generador). Esta complejidad, unida a las nuevas restricciones, anticipa un estilo de pilotaje completamente diferente: se terminó eso de frenar a pocos metros de la curva. Ahora, los pilotos deberán aprender a gestionar la vuelta de manera integral, levantando antes y optimizando cada fase del giro. Los tiempos, sin importancia en el día de hoy. Los tiempos, por tanto, carecen de relevancia. Se observaron velocidades punta anormalmente bajas, pilotos levantando antes de tiempo y tandas destinadas más al aprendizaje que al rendimiento. Y, aun así, hubo señales claras de quién está empezando con buen pie: Red Bull, con un Verstappen especialmente veloz, mostró un ritmo superior, y Mercedes también dejó sensaciones positivas. Incluso Racing Bulls, pese a sus problemas, sorprendió con buenas cifras de velocidad máxima. En el apartado aerodinámico, la jornada dejó menos novedades, salvo las habituales parrillas y aplicaciones de parafina para calibrar flujos en los primeros compases. La sorpresa del día: Audi. El trabajo siguió centrado en el motor, pero la sorpresa del día vino de Audi, que presentó un “coche B” con un concepto de pontones mínimos inspirado en el radical diseño de Mercedes de años anteriores, pero evolucionado. Su apariencia difiere completamente del coche mostrado en Barcelona, confirmando que la cita catalana sirvió a los equipos para comprender las particularidades de la nueva unidad de potencia antes de lanzar sus paquetes definitivos. De cara a la segunda jornada, la parrilla contará con rotaciones previstas: Verstappen, Norris, Gasly, Russell, Pérez, Hülkenberg y otros tantos volverán a la pista según las alineaciones programadas por cada equipo en esta primera semana de test. Max Verstappen hat überlegen der Grand Prix von Las Vegas gewonnen. Der amtierende Formel-1-Weltmeister überholte beim Start Lando Norris, der sich im Verlauf des Rennens noch auf Rang zwei kämpfte. Diesen verlor der WM-Leader aber nach dem Grand Prix. Sein McLaren und der seines Teamkollegen Oscar Piastri waren illegal. Der Schutzblock der Unterbodenplatte war bei beiden Autos unter dem Mindestwert von neun Millimeter. Es folgte die doppelte Disqualifikation. In der Tabelle liegt Norris jetzt 24 Punkte vor Verstappen und Piastri bei noch zwei ausstehenden Rennen. Der Dreikampf um die F1-Krone spitzt sich zu. Profiteur der Disqualifikation waren die Mercedes. George Russell erhielt den zweiten Platz, Andrea Kimi Antonelli rückte von P5 auf Rang drei vor. Vor allem beim Italiener stimmte die Pace und die Strategie. Der Mercedes-Rookie war nämlich nur von Platz 17 ins Rennen gegangen. Ein weiteres schwaches Wochenende erlebte Ferrari. Charles Leclerc schaffte es dank des Doppel-Ausschluss noch auf Rang vier, Teamkollege Lewis Hamilton wurde Achter. Lando Norris hat beim Grand Prix von Brasilien einen Gala-Auftritt hingelegt. Der Engländer gewann sowohl den Sprint als auch das Rennen in São Paulo. In der Tabelle liegt er nun 24 Punkte vor seinem McLaren-Teamkollegen Oscar Piastri und ist auf dem besten Weg, zum ersten Mal Formel-1-Weltmeister zu werden. Piastris fand dagegen auch in Brasilien keinen Weg aus der Krise. Nach seinem Sprint-Crash fuhr er im Rennen in Andrea Kimi Antonelli, der Charles Leclerc traf. Für Piastri setzte es noch eine Strafe, mehr als Rang fünf war nicht drin. Antonelli schaffte sowohl im Sprint als auch im Rennen den zweiten Platz und hatte Mercedes-Stallgefährte George Russell das ganze Wochenende im Griff. Der Rookie kommt immer besser in Fahrt. Dritter wurde Max Verstappen. Der Red-Bull-Pilot zeigte eine starke Aufholjagd, nachdem er aus der Box gestartet war. Sein Team hatte das Setup nach dem Quali-Frust umgebaut. In der WM liegt der Champion aber 49 Punkte hinter Norris. Die Chancen auf Verstappens fünften Titel in der Formel 1 sind gesunken. Erneut stark unterwegs war Oliver Bearman als Sechster im Haas. Nico Hülkenberg schaffte ebenfalls in die Punkte. Dagegen erlebte sein Sauber-Teamkollege Gabriel Bortoleto bei seinem ersten Heimspiel ein schlechtes Wochenende und flog zwei Mal ab. Einen Doppel-Nuller musste Ferrari verzeichnen. Leclerc wurde abgeschossen und Lewis Hamilton war im Rennen nur durch Kollisionen aufgefallen. Der fünfte Saisonsieg für Max Verstappen in der Formel-1-Saison 2025 spült ihn wieder in den Titelkampf. Der Weltmeister gewann in Austin das dritte der letzten vier Rennen. Zusätzlich sackte er auch noch acht Zähler für den Sprint-Erfolg beim Grand Prix der USA ein. Nur noch 40 Punkte beträgt der Rückstand auf Oscar Piastri. Er war der große Profiteur des McLaren-Fiaskos. Oscar Piastri und Lando Norris kollidierten beim Start des Sprints und mussten dann mit einer konservativen Abstimmung ins Qualifying und Rennen gehen, weil ihnen die Daten aus dem Sprint gefehlt hatten. Norris wurde immerhin noch Zweiter und verkürzte seinen Rückstand gegenüber McLaren-Teamkollege Piastri auf 14 Punkte. Dennoch hat man beim dominanten Formel-1-Team der Saison den Eindruck, dass die Angst vor Max Verstappen und Red Bull umgreift. Solche Wochenenden wie in Austin dürfen sich Piastri, Norris und das Team nicht mehr erlauben. Piastri kam lediglich auf P5 ins Ziel. Dritter wurde Charles Leclerc. Der Ferrari-Pilot hatte eine aggressive Strategie gewählt und startete auf Soft-Reifen. Damit schnappte er sich Norris beim Start und ärgerte ihn fast das gesamte Rennen. Teamkollege Hamilton wurde Vierter. George Russell beendete den US-Grand-Prix auf Rang sechs. Bei Mercedes wäre mit einer besseren Qualifikation mehr drin gewesen. Die Dirty Air verhinderte aber an der Spitze, dass es zu Verschiebungen kam. Nico Hülkenberg holte nach 105 Tagen Pause mal wieder Punkte. Der Held des Sprint-Qualifyings und Pechvogel beim Sprint wurde Achter und holte vier Zähler für Sauber. Isack Hadjar ist in seinem 15. Formel-1-Rennen das erste Mal auf das Podest gefahren. Der Rookie schaffte es in Zandvoort mit seinem Racing Bull auf Rang drei. Well that was a few days in the unhinged world of F1, we started off with an action packed British Grand Prix, which gave Lando Norris his first home win and Nico Hülkenberg his first podium in 239 starts, after some very mixed up weather conditions. And just when we thought the dust was settling in time for F1 to have the break before the official Summer break, RedBull go and pull something kind of unexpected out of the bag by announcing that their team principle and divisive character Christian Horner is no lonfer their team principle (or CEO for that matter)This week on the podcast we unpick the events of the last few days and revel in the fact that we decided to record a couple of days late this week so didn't miss the big midweek story! There's a bit of a review of the British GP as I'm fairly sure that everyone's heard about it all by now, but fresh off  the newswire there's our deep dive into the trainwreck that is (and has been for the last year) the RedBull situation. Pero habrá tiempo también para la carrera de la Indycar en Mid-Ohio, que no tuvo al vencedor habitual. Sospechos habituales y nuevos pilotos en el podio. La victoria en Inglaterra fue para Lando Norris, piloto local de un equipo local, que se impuso gracias a un ritmo consistente y a un fallo de su compañero Oscar Piastri, que cometió un error grave tras la salida del coche de seguridad y fue penalizado con 10 segundos. McLaren y Sauber brillaron; Mercedes y Ferrari, no tanto; Red Bull… ha terminado destituyendo a Horner. Silverstone sigue siendo un circuito que saca lo mejor (y lo peor) de los equipos. IndyCar en Mid-Ohio: dos errores de Palou le dan la victoria a Dixon. En el otro lado del charco, en Mid-Ohio la Indy nos volvió a dar una preciosa carrera llena de espectáculo, adelantamientos, mucha estrategia y dos errores de Palou, que le llevaron a perder una segura victoria, que acabó llevándose el siempre al acecho Scott Dixon. Está bien, fueron dos despistes del catalán, que lo hacen un poco más humano y que pienso que le vienen de perlas para tener claro que nunca se puede relajar, que no le van a salir siempre las cosas bien y que él, como sus compañeros, es falible. Seguro que ha aprendido esta dura lección, muy amarga, de perder una victoria totalmente suya por tonterías como éstas. La carrera tuvo dos incidentes destacados: una salida múltiple en la primera vuelta y un accidente sin consecuencias de Rasmussen. Además, Kyffin Simpson atropelló accidentalmente a un mecánico en boxes, lo que le costó una penalización que arruinó sus opciones de terminar más arriba. La próxima cita en Iowa será doble, con dos carreras en óvalo que pueden resultar determinantes para quienes quieran recortar puntos a Palou. El campeonato sigue vivo, pero Dixon demostró que la experiencia y la calma bajo presión siguen siendo armas decisivas. 7 victoria de su carrera en Ohio y sigue su racha: 21 temporadas consecutivas ganando, al menos, una carrera. Da gusto empezar con buenas noticias: otra excelente carrera, esta vez en Silverstone, que no nos dejó despegar los ojos de la pantalla. Estuvo realmente interesante y tuvimos un fin de semana más que completito desde el sábado, con la inesperada pole de Verstappen. En este primer episodio de la semana del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 se analiza a fondo el fin de semana en Gran Bretaña. Poles inesperadas y victorias trabajadas. Después de la Pole de Verstappen, el sábado, la carrera estuvo más que interesante con victoria de Norris después de un error garrafal, aunque comprensible por la falta de experiencia, de Piastri antes de la relanzada tras el coche de seguridad. Sanción, a mi juicio, merecida. Lo cierto es que McLaren está intratable, con un coche sólido tanto en seco como en mojado, pero por detrás tenemos un avispero bien agitado. Sólo hay que ver quién completó el podio: Nico Hulkenberg, con un Sauber y, por fin, atesorando ya su primer podio en F1. Tremendo cómo ha cambiado este equipo con Matia Binotto y Jonatahn Wheatley. Lo que deja en evidencia el error de Sainz por no fichar por Audi, pero quién podría haber previsto esto. Por cierto, imagen regular de los Williams, que mejoraron mucho en carrera, con Albon, una vez más, en los puntos. Sainz, por su parte, protagonizó una salida de pista que le hizo perder posiciones clave y terminó fuera de los puntos. La lluvia mejoró, aún más, el espectáculo. Qué bien vino la lluvia británica veraniega, la verdad. Los dos Astons acabaron en puntos, con Stroll por delante de Alonso gracias a una mejor estrategia, pero que el canadiense supo aprovechar sin errores de bulto. La carrera comenzó con una parrilla mixta en cuanto a neumáticos: varios pilotos, entre ellos Russell y Leclerc, apostaron por gomas de seco, mientras el cielo amenazaba con lluvia. Verstappen partía desde la pole y logró defender su posición en la salida, aunque pronto sería superado por Piastri y posteriormente por Norris. La aparición de la lluvia obligó a los equipos a adaptarse rápidamente con estrategias de cambio a neumáticos intermedios, lo que dio lugar a múltiples errores, pero también a aciertos cruciales, que nos dejaron mucho entrenamiento en la carrera. Mercedes tuvo momentos destacables y también su antigua estrella, Hamilton, adelantando a Russell y Gasly en una buena remontada. Ahora tocan dos semanas de descanso, estamos a mitad de temporada, y, aunque parece que el Campeonato está decidido – se lo llevará un McLaren – el “avispero” que hay detrás promete un final de temporada apasionante.
