Private or commercial, with an entourage or all alone, everyone in the professional golf world has to spend a lot of time getting from one event to the next. So naturally, we have decided to speculate on what a number of pro golfers do to spend their time in the air. Eating, Drinking, who's with them, what might their plane look like, what are post tournament reflections, pre tournament preparations, recovery protocols, you name it, we're talking about it here on #mudballmonday. Netflix's first live sporting event was certainly a spectacle and if it's any indicator for how the rest of the weekend will go…well let's just say we won't be surprised. Yes the Pro Golfers carried the teams and yes it was basically a Netflix commercial for 1.5 hours but the content was entertaining, Carlos could make the move to golf if F1 doesn't work out and now we know karma is officially not on Alex Albon's side. Also if you were one of the many people who tuned in just for the drivers and know nothing about golf, don't worry, Hannah and our notes from our golfer friend (shoutout Josh) do wonders to explain what actually happened and what we can take away from this event. Non Netflix Cup additions in this episode - Lando might be entering his rep era, Lewis Hamilton is larger than life, the Vegas Sphere better not disappoint us this weekend and we, at Track Talk, finally let the cats speak.
Sam Snead is without question one of the greatest golfers of all time. He is known for many things but most remember his smooth golf swing. Equally as impressive is his trophy case. He still shares the record for most wins on the PGA (82). In this episode of "Did I Tell You About My Albatross," host Albi introduces a new bonus series that delves deeper into the greatest golf stories and Slamming Sammy certainly owns one. On a beautiful day in 1962, Sam became the first and only Man to win an LPGA Tour Event. Albi dives deep to understand better who Sam Snead was, why he chose to compete in an LPGA, and why this was even a thing. The crew will be back for another traditional episode of DITYAMA early next week. Until then, enjoy the amazing tale of Sam Snead. Professional golfers have been blindsided by a surpise merger between two bitterly divided tours. A deal some believe is sealed in blood. The PGA is joining forces with the Saudi Arabia's rival LIV golf - that's backed by a state owned investment fund. A state that's guilty of serious human rights violations, including the brutal assasination of a journalist by Saudi government agents. The rival leagues saw a bitter divide between players, with the PGA encouraging golfers to take the moral high ground and reject multi-million dollar Saudi contracts. So what happens to those contracts now? And has the moral high ground dissolved under foot? Jimmy Emanuel, deputy editor and digital editor of the Golf Australia magazine, talks to Lisa Owen.
The best part of pro golf or any pro sport is the figures we follow and how they develop as characters over time. This game certainly has many of them, but arguably none better than Rahm and Brooks in the current landscape of the game. These are two guys who have had long careers in the spotlight, a ton of success, plenty of controversy, and have changed who they are and how they want to be seen many times throughout their careers. To us, what makes each of these guys really intriguing as characters is that by in large their guiding light as athletes who live in the public light is simply authenticity. While sometimes they may curate answers and acts to the public, by in large they live by who they are, and allow people to take it or leave it.Let us know how you enjoy this episode and feel free to engage with us/get in contact at the links below!Cheers, - The Tie GuysWebsite:https://www.thetiepodcast.comInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/thetiepodcast/?hl=enTwitter:https://mobile.twitter.com/thetiepodcastTikTok:@tieguys @tieguytexasranger @tieguyhs GoodWalk Coffee:https://goodwalkcoffee.comCODE: thetie for 20% offBDraddy:bdraddy.comCODE: thetie25 for 25% off

Real Estate Uncensored - Real Estate Sales & Marketing Training Podcast
Golf is often thought of as a great networking opportunity, but it can benefit us in a professional sense in more ways than one. Far from being just a fun pastime to mingle with the right people, it can also teach us a lot about how to run a business. How do golf and business correlate, and how can real estate pros take the strategies they use on the course and inject them into their operations? What are the lessons we can take from the world's top golfers when it comes to our businesses? In this episode, we're explaining how to get a hole in one in our businesses. Three Things You’ll Learn in This Episode The importance of using every club in our bags We wouldn't use a driver on a putting green or a putter on the driving range, and the same goes in our businesses. Different challenges require different tools, and if we want to maximize our chances of success, we have to diversify our strategies. The golf pro strategy we need to implement in our businesses Pros aren't just whacking around the course aimlessly, hoping for the best: they know where they need to be to get the best results. The same can apply to our business strategies, so we have to pinpoint our sweet spot. How to avoid the #1 rookie mistake Many of us can relate to buying a ton of equipment the first time we hit the course, only to find that practice makes perfect. Whether in golf or business, good results come from picking a strategy and sticking with it, and even the best tools in the world can only take us so far.
