The good news that I told my wife is that we have enough money in the bank to make it to next year. Well, now that it is New Year's Eve, that joke can be funny for about 15 more minutes. Michael and I would love to give all of our listeners, watchers, patrons, and our 2025 Energy News Beat Stand-up sponsor, Steve Reese at Reese Energy Consulting. Without your support, we would not have achieved the significant numbers we reached this year.I would also like to thank all the great guests who have been on the podcast, both on the Stand Up, like David Blackmon, and in our Conversations in Energy group of industry leaders! We are working on a few projects and new things for next year to help improve and keep growing in knowledge and capabilities. It was also very cool to reach the number 3 spot in the world for Energy Podcasts on FeedSpot. Some Key Quotes From the Podcast1. “On average, blue states pay 37% more for electricity than red states. The disparity stems from differing energy policy approaches - net zero versus practicality.” - Stu Turley2. “Policies plus location, you can't overcome either one of those.” - Michael Tanner3. “The Republicans cannot win the war of our articulation. We will lose in the midterms because the Democrats are going to go after affordability.” - Stu Turley4. “I think we have done the business a slight disservice by focusing not on true exploration and true growth of resources, but how to financially maximize the resources that we have in front of them.” - Michael Tanner5. “Someone is going to make a lot of money handling water specifically in the Permian Basin. The Bakken. There are two places where we've seen water-oil ratio skyrocket.” - Michael Tanner6. “If this becomes like the fiber build out of 2000, where we built all of this fiber and nobody used it for five years, natural gas is going to get absolutely pounded and is going to continue to be the widow maker until this stuff figures out.” - Michael TannerStories Covered On the Podcast1.What Should Consumers and Investors Look for in Energy in 2026? You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for December 19, 2025. 0:30 Red state attorneys general are taking on Big Tech in a major fight to protect children online, as Tennessee joins Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina in a lawsuit against Roblox. The states accuse the gaming platform of misleading parents and failing to stop child predators from exploiting kids through in-game chats and messages. The message is clear: the government’s first duty is to defend life and protect the most vulnerable, and when tech companies won’t police themselves, leaders must step in. This is shaping up to be a defining battle over child safety, online gaming, and accountability in Big Tech. 9:30 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. The Shreveport City Council approved a new data center project in the city. The City of New Orleans is requesting the Federal Government to send in more law enforcement officers for New Year's Eve. Police in Kenner arrested an illegal immigrant preacher and charged him with sexual battery of a 10 year old child. 12:30 Get Prodovite Plus from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 13:00 The Justice Department releases new Epstein files, and once again America is asking why this case still grips the nation. It’s not just the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, but his ties to the rich and powerful — from presidents to princes — that have people demanding answers. The conversation turns to accountability, justice, and whether elites keep getting a pass while everyday Americans pay the price. With big names, dark questions, and growing distrust in the system, the fight for truth about the Epstein documents is far from over. 16:00 It’s time for American Mamas, and they’re sounding off on one big holiday question: company Christmas parties — love them or hate them? Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burelson share hilarious stories about forced small talk, cocktail hours, introvert vs. extrovert personalities, and why some folks would rather sit in the corner than mingle. From awkward office parties to wedding receptions, the Mamas break down the holiday party struggle everyone can relate to — with laughs, honesty, and real-life advice. If you'd like to ask our American Mamas a question, go to our website, AmericanGroundRadio.com/mamas and click on the Ask the Mamas button. 23:00 We take on Trump Derangement Syndrome, asking if there’s really a cure — and pointing to facts, reason, and real-world wake-up calls as the answer. From media stories to Mitt Romney’s latest warnings, the conversation shifts into Social Security reform, fear-mongering, and what’s really at stake for American seniors. It’s a fiery, fast-paced segment on TDS, politics, and the future of Social Security you won’t want to miss. 26:00 We Dig Deep into a Washington Post column urging Democrats to “Make America Minnesota,” then put that claim to the test with hard data. Looking at fertility rates, population trends, and family affordability, we see that red states vs. blue states tell a very different story about where families are actually growing and thriving. From Tim Walz and Kamala Harris to taxes, marriage, and cost of living, it’s a data-driven debate over which policies really support American families and children. 32:00 Get TrimROX from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 32:30 nearly 130,000 migrant children went missing under the Biden administration. Many of this children are being exploited and trafficed. Border security failures are not “compassionate,” when vulnerable kids remain unaccounted for. 36:30 Plus, it's Fake News Friday! We're putting you to the test with our weekly game of headlines—are they real news, fake news, or really fake news? From election integrity, ICE and Ilhan Omar to gold card immigration permits and government-sponsored suicide in Canada, can you spot the fake news? Play along, keep score, and share your results with us on Facebook page: facebook.com/AmericanGroundRadio. 40:00 The hour wraps with news out of Florida, where a federal appeals court greenlights a law blocking children from attending sexually explicit drag shows — a win for parents, common sense, and child safety in today’s culture wars. We treat dieting like a reset button. We assume we can wipe the slate clean with a new plan and fresh discipline. But the brain keeps a record. In this episode, we explore the neuroscience of the "Diet Trap" and how chronic restriction creates a "Hunger Highway" that makes food noise louder and willpower weaker. We stop blaming your character and start looking at the engine—specifically, how to shift from a "Red State" of threat to a "Blue State" of safety to finally turn down the noise.Important points discussed:The Willpower Gap: Why you are working twice as hard for half the results compared to ten years ago.The Hunger Highway: How neuroplasticity physically rewires your brain to become efficient at being hungry.Red State vs. Blue State: Understanding why your brain interprets a calorie deficit as a survival threat. The Binge Logic: Why bingeing is not a failure of discipline, but a successful biological rescue mission.Radical Maintenance: The counter-intuitive protocol required to heal the metabolic damage and shut off the alarm bells.Action Step: Stop the deficit. This week, your goal is "Radical Maintenance." Feed your body consistently to convince your brain the famine is over. You cannot rehabilitate a damaged organ while you are still attacking it.

American Credoism vs. American Heritage & For Christ and Country

"Tapp" into the Truth

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 20, 2025 119:42 Transcription Available

Most of you will remember the story of Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan, who was caught on video trying to help an illegal escape from federal custody when agents showed up at the courthouse to nab Eduardo Flores-Ruiz. Well, she has been found guilty of the felony charge of obstructing, but not guilty of the misdemeanor charge of concealing, by a jury, following a four-day trial. If you will recall, Dugan was arrested by the FBI back in April, accused of helping illegal alien migrant named Eduardo Flores-Ruiz evade arrest by ICE.There is an ongoing debate between the ideas of American Credoism and American Heritage Doctrine. As divided as we are right now, it is not surprising, but sadly, the debate itself misses the point of what it means to be an American. Charlie Kirk's assassination has appalled many, shocked very few, and was even welcomed and openly cheered by many leftists who are either anti-Christian or just anti-American. A few things are certain: the political left (even those outside of the United States) have worked hard besmirch Charlie's reputation and celebrate his death, going so far as to make a mocking "shot-to-the-neck" gesture on viral videos and on American streets. The left has taken Charlie's words out of context over and over again to claim that he was racist, misogynistic, or even a "Christian Nationalist" Cult leader. (All of which is untrue, but to the atheistic left, I am sure proclaiming the Gospels appears that way.)It is also clear that Charlie has had a lasting impression on both the American Conservative movement and a reemergence of Christianity. He did this by going out and interacting directly with young people, particularly college students. He spoke to them with respect while anchoring his statement with historical accuracy and Gospel truths. He inspired college conservatives to stand their ground, and he changed some minds by doing nothing more than inviting people to challenge for themselves the worldview that was being pushed down on them. While there are several other things that can be said about the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, one of the most important (and perhaps saddest) is that the political left murdered Charlie Kirk, not with a single bullet, but with years of hatred, slander, and moral corruption that made his assassination inevitable. Drew Thomas Allen, a writer, political commentator, and publicist whose client list includes some of the most influential conservative voices in America (including Charlie Kirk), known nationally as "the Millennial Minister of Truth" via hosting The Drew Allen Show, and author of America's Last Stand and his latest, For Christ and Country: The Martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, joins me to discuss how Kirk's death was not an isolated act of violence but the culmination of a toxic political movement has gone mainstream.Becky Noble, journalist at Red State and her own Substack, Gumshoe Politics, joins me to discuss "neopronouns" and "xeopronouns," General Motors shifting toward a more "America First" mentality, and the Brown University shooting. Red States REVOLT As Trump's Policies Crush Them

Farron Balanced Daily

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 17, 2025 31:57

Republican voters in red states are in a full blown "revolt" against Donald Trump as they continue to get crushed by his policies. From the staffing and budget cuts made by DOGE to the trade war and immigration raids, red states are feeling the pain even worse than the blue states that Trump has vowed to punish. Republican voters are always the hardest hit by the politicians that they keep supporting.Donald Trump's top economic adviser, Kevin Hassett, admitted on live television that he (and other members of the administration) are only feeding Trump flattering numbers about the economy that make him feel better. In other words, they are giving him fake and incomplete data to paint a much rosier picture of the economy. This is incredibly dangerous for many reasons, the most obvious being that they can't fix problems that they are pretending don't even exist. The White House apparently thought that it would be a good idea to publish their list of "Naughty" reporters and news organizations all over social media and their own official website, but they quickly deleted the entire thing after massive public backlash. As many users on social media pointed out, this was nothing short of an authoritarian attempt to shame the media into submission, or perhaps even to put targets on their backs for MAGA fanatics to take aim at. Either way, this was an enemies list and the administration isn't trying to hide the fact that they have one ready to deploy. Republicans are running out of ideas to get Donald Trump to wake up to the economic disaster that he has single handedly caused for hundreds of millions of Americans, and so far they've had no luck getting him to focus on real problems. To make matters worse, Jerome Powell, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, admitted this week that the bulk of the inflation we're seeing right now is because of Donald Trump's tariffs. There is no escaping blame at this point. The Trump administration finally got around to releasing the federal jobs data that they had been delaying for weeks on Tuesday, and there's a very obvious reason why they waited so long. The numbers are not just horrible - they are actually the worst we've seen in four years, meaning that Trump's economy in ONE YEAR is already worse than anything we saw under President Biden. Jobs numbers for previous months were also ALL revised downward, showing major job losses for three of the past six months. Elon Musk has decided to break his promises to both stay out of politics and to start his own political party, and he is now pledging to give truckloads of money to conservative candidates in next year's midterm races. Elon clearly didn't learn his lessons from this year about how much he is universally despised, and he seems to think that enough time has passed to make everyone forget about what a wretched piece of trash he is. Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! This past weekend saw so much death, destruction, and devaluation of human life that I had to do a brief recap of the worst parts.FBI agents worried that they did not have probable cause for the raid on President Donald Trump's Palm Beach estate, Mar-a-Lago, but went ahead with it anyway under pressure from then-President Joe Biden's Justice Department.U.S. District Judge Judith Levy, an Obama appointee, offered praise and deferential treatment to Edys Renan Membreño Díaz, a 30-year-old Honduran national, who is presently serving between six and 15 years in a Michigan state prison for raping and sodomizing a woman he knew was incapable of giving consent, who has cerebral palsy and cognitive delays.Months after the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as The Nation's Report Card, showed that student test scores in reading and math are hitting new lows, the nation's largest teachers' union, the National Education Association (NEA), held a conference. Was the conference meant to teach teachers new ways to help their students improve their reading and math? Nope! The actual topic was "Advancing LGBTQ+ Justice!" Disney and ESPN: Running a Blue Company in a Red State — Charles Gasparino — Gasparino analyzes the radicalization of the Walt Disney Company, noting that CEO Bob Iger brought progressive cultural affinities while the company maintained profitability. His successor, Bob Chapek, initially navigated the challenge of running a "blue company in a red state" (Florida) by remaining publicly neutral regarding cultural controversies with Governor Ron DeSantis. Internal organizational pressure from Iger forced Chapek to publicly oppose DeSantis's legislation, resulting in Disney forfeiting special taxing authorities and Chapek's subsequent removal. ESPN similarly suffered audience erosion following politicization, exemplified by broadcaster Sage Steele's controversial heterodox commentary. 1957

Riding Shotgun With Charlie #242 Tom Knighton Bearing Arms, Writer   The first time I met Tom Knighton in person was at a Florida Carry event in 2021. But we've done a number of episodes of the Polite Society Podcast, where I was a co-host and he was a guest. Then there were a number of times when we did The Daily Bullet as co-hosts. Tom is a great guy and writes at Bearing Arms. We had a chance to film a show at the NRA Annual Meetings in Atlanta this year.    Tom grew up in Georgia and has been around firearms his whole life. Growing up in a city, he's still pretty country. His dad was a police officer who hunted with his own dad. It seems crazy, but he said his first press of the trigger was at four years old with a .38 Special. His dad had his hands over Tom's and all he needed to do was press the trigger. Eventually, his dad bought him a Ruger 10/22 and an Enfield Jungle Carbine in .303 British. Unfortunately, later on it had to be sold.    As a young child growing up with his parents and their smart aleck attitudes, it's no wonder where Tom got his snarkiness, which has served him well while writing at Bearing Arms. Then as a Navy corpsman, it didn't really help with his sense of humor, either. Being an anti-authorian, he only lasted four years in the Navy. He was in after the Gulf War but before September 11. He could have gone back in, but he had a 2 month old child and a wife to tend to.   During high school, Tom found out he wasn't too bad at writing. His writing impressed both his teacher and classmates. While writing for a "table top role playing"  blog, he went to a meet up with local liberty minded folks. He talked with someone and started writing about small local politics. Then a local newspaper got a hold of some articles and ran them there, too. Talking with the editor, he was able to pay Tom for some original content. So he considered writing for a living. The editor ended up moving and selling the paper to Tom. Then he ended up losing the newspaper.    After some life tribulations, he started writing for a start up publication. Then another. Both went under. He was able to leverage those gigs into writing for PJ Media. Another friend worked at Red State and he asked if they needed anything. After some conversations, she asked how he was on the Second Amendment. For the first two years, he was writing solo.  They talked about hiring an editor and he was a little miffed. But the editor ended up being Cam Edwards. Tom thought that was also a good idea! Like many of us, one of our goals was to be on NRA TV's Cam & Co. but Tom ended up working with Cam instead. A nice consultation prize.   For Bearing Arms Tom is cranking out about seven articles a day. Then he's got two for Town Hall. Then his own Substack of general politics gets two articles. And he's doing some videos for his YouTube channel, too. Sometimes people send him tips, leads, and stories. Sometimes it's slow and there's a little rehashing of previous content or reaching out to find stories to write. But the "challenges in the 2A community don't change" or end.    Like many others, Tom has a lot going on. Writing for Bearing Arms, for Town Hall Media, and doing his own articles, keeps his schedule full. There are also times when he's running the BA website, too. Plus he's keeping up with family life.    Just for funsies, we take a call from Mike Piwowarski from Arms Room Radio. I was supposed to meet some folks, but I was running late. The background is that when I did a show with Mike in Florida a few years ago, he forgot all the great stories he has. So I had to bring up that Tom has stories. And he remembers them.    Favorite quotes: "The first time I ever pulled the trigger was on a .38 Special when I was four years old." "God forbid we ever in a situation like that, I'm equipped." "We may not have the same level of training, but you never have enough." "You need to get your basic marksmanship better than the guns." "People like when their commentators pop off at the other side." After 10 years of MAGA, where is our red-state bench? The online Right is slowly realizing that the emperor is wearing no clothes. We're stuck with all of the liberal policies and unpopular antics of Trump but few of the benefits. Now we're saddled with a terrible economy with no vision because we've spent 10 years destroying a bench of high-level conservatives in red states. Now red states are going purple. We're joined today by Utah state Rep. Trevor Lee (R) to discuss how a generation of liberal Republicans gave rise to liberal judges who have now handed Democrats a free congressional seat in Utah. We discuss the mechanics of how Utah RINOs give Democrats a foothold in the state through lousy electoral policies and then the Left, in turn, uses the ballot initiative process and the courts to change the state. This is a growing problem in many red states that if left unchecked will result in many of them becoming the next Colorado.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I fear that the entire political Right is going to waste its focus on redistricting and ending the filibuster in the hopes of changing the trajectory.  While I don't oppose either proposition, neither of them will actually change the outcome of the election, because we have slept through primaries for years. We simply don't have enough conservatives to win a national election or accomplish good things even if Republicans gain a tenuous majority. What we need to do is focus on red-state governor elections. We begin that process today by interviewing Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), a Freedom Caucus congressman running for governor in South Carolina. He is promising to go to war with the establishment Republicans and bring an entire new approach to the state. He will focus on broad quality-of-life issues rather than handing the state over to crony corporations under the false pretense of economic development. Finally, in that vein, I delve into the effort of BlackRock and Blackstone to purchase public utilities and work with data centers to strip us of our energy independence. If we don't elect people like Norman in red states, we will lose our red-state land and infrastructure to the globalist networks.      Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
