For a number of years now, a debate surrounding a potential link between acetaminophen and neurodevelopment has been waged, sparking intense public interest and scientific scrutiny. In Tylenol and Autism, William Parker, PhD, delivers a rigorous, evidence-focused investigation into this deeply contested issue. Dr. Parker organizes roughly 30 distinct lines of evidence—spanning pharmacology, human associative data, and animal neurodevelopmental toxicity—to weigh the total body of evidence against common objections. Beyond the biology, Tylenol and Autism examines the anatomy of the controversy itself, pulling back the curtain on how statistical misclassifications, peer-review failures, and institutional conflicts of interest can shape medical consensus. Dr. Parker is scheduled to join me to discuss the debate and his findings. The America 250 celebration is underway, and headlines abound; everything from how terrible it is to have UFC fights at the White House to planned terror attacks, even some still talking about musical performers who dropped out of performing as part of the celebration. AI is swiftly becoming a major part of American healthcare. The state of California does not want to see any form of ID when you show up to vote. Josh opens the show by examining how several blue-state attorneys general are using the courts to challenge and block President Trump's agenda. He explains why these legal battles go far beyond partisan politics, arguing that many of these actions are undermining public safety, frustrating voters, and making it harder for the administration to implement policies Americans elected it to pursue. Later, Josh is joined by Florida AG James Uthmeier to discuss Florida's recent lawsuit against TikTok and why state leaders believe action is necessary. The Attorney General also addresses his demand for answers from Major League Baseball following its actions late last week, explaining why Florida is taking a stand and what it says about the state's commitment to freedom, accountability, and putting people first. Finally, Josh turns his attention to the proposed Iran deal and the recently released memorandum of understanding. He breaks down what the agreement contains, what it leaves unanswered, and why he believes the deal could undermine long-term stability in the Middle East while providing Iran with additional financial resources and leverage.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Here are the facts:In June 2025, Adam Hoffman was on trial for continuous s*x abuse of a child. OAG had 2 experienced prosecutors on the case. This young child courageously testified to the horrific things that were done to him, which was severely traumatic for him.The trial ended up in a hung jury, with 7 voting to convict and 5 voting not to.The OAG prosecutors sought a retrial, wanting justice for the victim.Understandably, the victim & his mother did not wish to endure the traumatic experience of testifying again. The prosecution could have either: legally forced the family to comply in a new trial, which would be heartless, or seek as severe a punishment as they could without their key witness, which included jail time. They did what was in the best interest of the child.

A solar moratorium nearly shut down Alabama's emerging solar market before most of the industry even saw it coming. For years, the prevailing assumption has been that clean energy growth would be concentrated in politically progressive states while places like Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi lagged behind. But that's not what Monika Gerhart is seeing (and doing!) on the ground. As Executive Director of the Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association (GSREIA), Monika operates at the intersection of policy, infrastructure, resilience, and market development across some of the most politically and operationally complex energy markets in America. And increasingly, she says the future of clean energy growth is being shaped locally — through trust, coalition-building, reliability concerns, and resilience planning. In this conversation, Nico and Monika unpack the fight that nearly derailed Alabama's solar market before most of the industry even noticed, how Hurricane Ida transformed the conversation around distributed energy and microgrids in Louisiana, and why resilience infrastructure is rapidly becoming a life-safety issue across the Gulf Coast. They also explore:why state-level advocacy increasingly determines whether markets survive long enough to maturehow local relationships shape energy policy more than national narrativesthe emerging role of neighborhood-scale resilience planning and community microgridswhy lawmakers are becoming more open to renewables as electricity demand acceleratesand what developers, manufacturers, investors, and operators should understand about building durable markets in politically complicated regionsThis is a conversation about far more than solar policy. It's about how energy markets are actually built — and why some of the industry's most important battles are happening far from the headlines. Are there other technologies you've scouted on the frontlines of the Clean Energy Revolution that you think we should be covering here on SunCast?Hit us up - team@suncast.me with your feedback & recommendations. If you want to connect with today's guest, you'll find links to their contact info in the show notes on the blog at https://suncast.media/episodes/.Our Platinum Presenting Sponsor for SunCast is CPS America!SunCast is also sponsored by Nextpower! You can learn more about all the sponsors who help make this show free for you at www.suncast.media/sponsors.Remember, you can always find resources, learn more about today's guest and explore recommendations, book links, and more than 875 other founder stories and startup advice at www.suncast.media.Subscribe to Valence, our weekly LinkedIn Newsletter, and learn the elements of compelling storytelling: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/valence-content-that-connects-7145928995363049472/You can connect with me, Nico Johnson, on:Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/nicomeoLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/nickalus

Conservative Republican (Red) led states spring into action to redistrict (gerrymander) away majority Black districts following the landmark 6-3 decision in Louisiana v. Callais, in which the Supreme Court significantly weakened Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. The ruling made it considerably harder to challenge racially discriminatory voting maps and has paved the way for states to redraw congressional districts in ways that could eliminate minority-majority seats.

Hour 3: Middle East Extortion, Military Shortages, and Global CrackdownsThe third hour of The Tara Show on Friday, May 22, 2026, exposed a series of escalating global and domestic crises, spanning maritime extortion, a depleted military arsenal, and controversial data rollbacks.9th: Iran's Strait of Hormuz Toll System: The hour kicked off with an emergency deep dive into Iran's sudden, aggressive creation of a "Strait Authority." The regime began demanding illegal transit fees ranging from $150,000 to $2 million per vessel [ay2tF62fvLE]. This extortion maneuver effectively violated territorial waters [ay2tF62fvLE], triggered warnings that commercial ships paying the toll would violate U.S. sanctions [p2vzwC1kkAo], and left the fragile weekend peace deal on life support.10th: America's Depleted Munitions Arsenal: The show analyzed a terrifying logistical crisis within the Pentagon. Analysts warned that high-intensity naval warfare in the Persian Gulf has rapidly exhausted U.S. stockpiles of Tomahawk missiles and air-defense interceptors, revealing that a severely weakened defense industrial base is unable to replenish the arsenal fast enough to sustain a protracted war.11th: UK Abandoned & Nick Shirley Prosecuted: Shifting to European turmoil, the segment discussed how the UK has increasingly been left to fend for itself against Russian aggression due to shifting NATO dynamics. Concurrently, the host reacted to the shocking political prosecution of independent UK journalist Nick Shirley, framing it as a direct assault on free speech and independent war reporting.12th: The Red State SNAP Data Showdown: Closing out the hour, the broadcast highlighted a highly partisan domestic battle over government assistance. Wrecker detailed how only conservative, red-state governors complied with federal demands to turn over state SNAP (food stamp) rolls, sparking a fierce debate over executive overreach, citizen privacy, and the weaponization of welfare data.

They are setting us up for a massive betrayal. While politicians debate mass-deportation logistics, they are ignoring the one proven solution that would end illegal immigration tomorrow: demagnetizing the states. By refusing to clamp down on the actual magnets — employment, welfare, and financial transactions — politicians are laying the groundwork for the disastrous "Dignity Act" amnesty bill. I also dive deep into the hypocrisy of the GOP's push for massive AI data center expansion in rural America, destroying farmland while relying on cheap, imported labor instead of investing in agricultural robotics and innovation. Florida CFO Blaise Ingoglia joins the show to discuss the "Florida Model" of state-level demagnetization, how local communities are bleeding funds, and the urgent need for conservative supermajorities to stop the amnesty trap before it's too late. It is time to make illegal immigration illegal again. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Are Republicans secretly fueling the border crisis while campaigning against it? Despite the campaign rhetoric, the GOP establishment has not changed one iota on illegal immigration. I expose the massive gulf between conservative voters and the RINO lawmakers selling out their states to corporate agriculture and cheap labor cartels. Special guest Idaho state Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld (R) joins the show to share the shocking truth about what happens when you try to enforce the law in a deep-red state. She details how she was stripped of a committee assignment and how her family's business faced aggressive retaliation from GOP special interests simply for standing against illegal immigration. In fact, red-state Republicans (outside of the Freedom Caucus) are this subversive on almost every other issue as well. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The MAGA 6 on the Supreme Court, just hours after dining on champagne with Trump at a state dinner, just fired the starter's pistol to the race to the bottom, as Red States scramble to remap their congressional districts to dilute black and other minority votes in the way congressional maps are drawn. Popok explains that in the new Callias decision, the MAGA 6 announce that racism and racial discrimination in voting is over (!?!), and have given permission in a 6-3 decision authored by Sam Alito to the states to eliminate black and minority congressional seats before the midterms, as Justice Kagan fires back with her poignant “cracked circle” hypothesis. The GOP is failing miserably at the national level, and the clock is ticking. If conservative strongholds want to survive the next wave of mass migration, the fight must shift to the state and county levels immediately. In this urgent breakdown, I outline 20 highly specific, actionable policy ideas that red states can implement right now to preemptively deter illegal immigration once and for all. Forget the endless waiting on federal redistricting or congressional squabbles. This is a comprehensive blueprint for state legislatures to create "fortresses of liberty" through aggressive, localized public policy. From zoning law adjustments and enforcing E-Verify through state agencies, to revoking CDLs for illegal aliens and barring access to public benefits, this episode dives deep into the state-level legislation needed to completely demagnetize red states. What's the worst thing Steve, Dana, and Julia have ever done? And would you still love them if you knew the answer to that question? That's not a subject for today's episode, but these three do get into The Drama, the dark, polarizing rom-com directed by Kristoffer Borgli starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson which is animated by such disquieting inquiries.Next, it's time for elk meat, Montana golden hour, and feckless city slickers as our hosts take on Taylor Sheridan's latest The Madison. Starring Michelle Pfeiffer, our hosts agree it's an effective Western soap opera but is its Red State agitprop worth the price of admission? Finally… there's good boy. With their curly mop tops and wet eyes, doodle dog hybrids have nuzzled their way into Americans' hearts. What does that say about us? The hosts discuss these questions and more raised in a recent New Yorker piece by John Seabrook, How Doodles Became the Dog du Jour.In a bonus episode for Slate Plus subscribers, they have a spoiler-rich conversation divulging all of The Drama's dirty secrets.EndorsementsDana: The latest from children's book author (and Dana's partner) Rowboat Watkins, Mousestache, Mooosestache about a riotous world overrun with mustaches. America's red-state heartland is under attack — not by foreign enemies, but by a coalition of Big Tech monopolies and establishment RINO politicians. In this urgent episode of the podcast, I expose the massive, taxpayer-subsidized land-grab sweeping across conservative strongholds. Across the country, prime agricultural land is being aggressively rezoned and swallowed up by insolvent AI data centers, sprawling solar arrays, and dystopian wind farms. I'm joined by Wyoming state Rep. Ann Lucas (Freedom Caucus), who reveals how her own state — the historic heartland of the American cowboy and ranching — is being sold out to corporate tech giants. Rep. Lucas breaks down how nondisclosure agreements, special tax abatements, and establishment Republicans are allowing corporations to drain local power grids and water supplies while citizens are left footing the bill with skyrocketing utility rates. Rather than bringing economic prosperity, these land-grabs are a Trojan horse designed to enrich a tech-driven surveillance state while crushing local farmers and ranchers and centralizing America's land.
