Filament Health CEO Ben Lightburn joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share some groundbreaking news. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given its approval for the Investigational New Drug application for PEX010, Filament Health's botanical psilocybin drug candidate designed for the treatment of Substance Use Disorders. This significant development now paves the way for Filament Health to commence research activities in the United States, focusing on the potential use of their botanical psilocybin drug candidate in addressing substance use disorders, including those involving opioids. Lightburn went on to explain that the IND-opening protocol had previously been submitted to Health Canada and had received the department's no-objection status, underlining the company's commitment to adhering to rigorous regulatory standards on both sides of the border. Moreover, Lightburn highlighted the extensive scope of research and collaboration surrounding PEX010. Currently, a network of 24 research institutions and licensing partners across Canada, the USA, Europe, and Israel is actively studying PEX010 for various conditions. These include but are not limited to alcohol use disorder, depression, and coma, showcasing the versatile potential of this botanical psilocybin drug candidate in addressing a wide range of medical conditions. The acceptance of the IND application by the FDA marks a pivotal moment in Filament Health's journey, offering a pathway for innovative and potentially transformative treatments for substance use disorders. It also underscores the company's global reach and collaborative efforts in advancing the field of psychedelic medicine. This milestone is a testament to the commitment of Filament Health to research and develop solutions that hold promise for individuals struggling with these challenging conditions. #proactiveinvestors #filamenthealthcorp #otcqb #flhlf #cboe #fh @pex010 #resetpharma #depression #FDAapproval, #substanceusedisorder, #opioidaddiction, #psilocybin, #botanicalmedicine, #clinicaltrial, #healthcarenews, #mentalhealthawareness, #drugdevelopment, #researchupdate, #FDAguidelines, #medicalinnovation, #opioidcrisis, #treatmentoptions, #mentalwellness, #pharmacology, #drugdiscovery, #healthtech, #publichealth, #medicalresearch, #addictionrecovery, #drugpolicy, #psychedelictherapy #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

We are in the midst of the worst drug epidemic in U.S. history. And it’s getting worse. The data is in, and the numbers are shocking: 1 in 12 children under the age of 18 now faces a Substance Abuse Disorder. That number rises to 1 in 6 for young adults. So, what can parents do to protect their kids from developing addictions that halt normal brain development in its tracks and derail their most precious dreams? In this episode, substance abuse expert, Carolyn Bradfield, discusses the actionable steps parents can take to prevent their children from engaging in substance use and becoming one of the 27 million Americans struggling with addiction.About Our Guest:Carolyn Bradfield is a serial entrepreneur and technology executive with a 30-year track in starting, growing and exiting companies in conferencing and collaboration and SaaS technology. Stephen is a long time NJ resident who has been given the gift of many experiences in life. For most of his adult life, he served as Paramedic for 15+ years in many jurisdictions in NJ, PA, and DE. He also had the honor of serving as a rescue worker at the World Trade Center on 9-11-01 in NYC. Stephen has seen tragedy and suffering first hand. While saving countless overdose victims in his career, he always felt a pang of sadness when his colleagues would treat a hurting person poorly due to their ignorance of the problem. Little did they know that he soon would be no different than many of his patients and that he was the one who needed the saving. It took him overdosing multiple times and having been revived by former colleagues, losing his certification, career, marriage, and children to finally stop Stephen from working towards his grave and start working a recovery program. His focus is to open up the conversation about addressing the underlying pain, trauma, or lack of coping skills that makes one decide to self-medicate in the first place. If it can happen to the rescuer himself then who perhaps “should have known better”, thus showing proof that no one is immune to the disease of addiction. Stephen’s story has to be told to give others the courage to voice their pain. Pain shared is pain lessened. He has expertise in Emergency Medical Care, First Responder PTSD and Substance Abuse issues, Recovery Coaching, Intervention, Leadership, and Spiritual Studies. He is also a charter member of the Southern Delaware Toastmasters International Club. He is available for coaching, mentorship, speaking engagements, guest interviews, content production, and consultation services. Stephen is proud to be the host and creator of the Rescue the Rescuer show, the only show in the world geared towards first responders who battle mental health issues including PTSD, Substance Abuse Disorder, and more. His show is hosted on the Mental Health News Radio Network where he also serves as the Director of Network Compliance. Stephen is regularly sought out for national and international TV, podcasts, and print media for his expertise. He welcomes you to book him for a free consultation, so we can devise a plan to meet your unique needs.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-trauma-therapist-podcast-with-guy-macpherson-phd-inspiring-interviews-with-thought-leaders-in-the-field-of-trauma/donationsWant to advertise on this podcast?
