Zaankanter Patrick Teunissen speelt zelf graag padel en hij is ook nog designer. Het is dan ook niet zo vreemd dat hij speciale padelrackets ging ontwikkelen. De rackets verkoopt Teunissen onder de naam Kobura. Met zijn startup hoopt hij een gevestigde naam te worden in de padelwereld. Nienke Teunissen ist seit März 2025 Geschäftsführerin bei War Child Deutschland und schon lange im NGO-Sektor zu Hause. Sie studierte International Business & Languages sowie Sozialwissenschaften, untersuchte in ihrer Masterarbeit Werbung von Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen und arbeitete anschließend als Beraterin einer Marketingagentur mit mehr als 80 gemeinnützigen Organisationen in den Niederlanden und im Vereinigten Königreich zusammen. Ihre Arbeit für War Child begann 2014. Für War Child Niederlande verantwortete Nienke die Marketingstrategie, größere Marketingkampagnen und Veranstaltungen. 2023 wurde sie dann als Global Fundraiserin auch Teil des War Child Teams in Deutschland. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit für War Child ist Nienke ehrenamtliche Moderatorin für TeamUp und Trainerin im Entwicklungsprogramm für Führungskräfte der Zivilgesellschaft „Leaders of Tomorrow“.

In ‘De Propagandist' vertelt documentaire- en filmmaker Luuk Bouwman het verhaal van de Nederlandse filmmaker Jan Teunissen, die er altijd van droomde om filmmaker te worden. Dat lukte hem uiteindelijk maar helaas wel bij de verkeerde organisatie. In Tweede Wereldoorlog wordt hij hoofd wordt van de NSB en de SS Filmdienst. Wat drijft Teunissen ertoe mee te werken aan de promotie van het naziregime?  Presentatie: Frénk van der Linden

„Es ist schön, wenn Du nach einer richtig guten Reitstunde Deinem Pferd anschließend im Stall eine besonders große Ration Heu gibst. Nur es verknüpft die beiden Dinge nicht mehr. Du hast genau zwei bis drei Sekunden Zeit mit Lob zu reagieren“, meint der beliebte  (Problem)Pferde- und Reittrainer @Luuk_Teunissen. Ein Pferd ist ein Fluchttier, lebt im hier und jetzt. Generell verwendet Luuk weder Futter noch Lekerlis als Belohnung,  bevorzugt Pausen, die Stimme oder auch Berührungen als positive Antwort auf das Pferd, „aber auch hier ist jedes Pferd anders. Es gibt auch Pferde, die es nicht mögen, berührt zu werden. Wichtig ist, dass das Pferd die Belohnung versteht. Ein Lob sei auch, wenn ich wieder den Druck vom Unterschenkel nehme, wenn das triebige Pferd vorwärts geht. Wenn ich hingegen weiter treibe ist dies eine negative Verstärkung - also weg mit den Schenkel. Reaktionen müssen somit direkt auf eine Aktion folgen und wir sollten uns immer überlegen, worüber sich das Pferd gerade in dem Moment und situationsbezogen freut. Wenn ich etwa verlade, sollte ich darüber nachdenken, ob mein Pferd, wenn es brav eingestiegen ist es als Lob versteht, wenn ich es im Hänger in Ruhe lasse oder obe es als Belohnung nicht lieber wieder aussteigen würde. Wenn es etwa mutig die ersten Schritte auf die Rampe macht wäre die Belohnung, das Pferd nicht in, sondern weg vom Hänger zu führen. Und wenn das Timing irgendwo noch nicht klappt ist das auch kei Beinbruch. „Dann versuche ich das Ganze auf jeden Fall noch mal. Jeder macht Fehler“, tröstet Luuk, der meint, dass man gutes Timing von Hilfen und Belohnungen auch trocken-trainieren kann. Zum einen sei es hilfreich, sich selbst zu filmen, damit man seine Fehler besser wahrnehmen kann.  Zum anderen hilft es Übungen wie Verladen, Paraden geben etc.  einmal  an seinen zweibeinigen Freunden auszuprobieren und ihre Reaktionen zu beobachten. He'll be spending a week in LA at the Red Bull High Performance Center before moving on to his second home in Orlando, Florida, for four months of intense training.Corey's main focus is on getting back to peak fitness and preparing for a big event on the Gold Coast - the World Championships. This event is his ultimate goal for the year, and he's determined to win it. He'll be back in Australia around August/September to compete in the last stop of the world tour and give his all in the championship.After the season wraps up, Corey plans to take a couple of months off before starting preseason training again in December. Wat is de oorsprong van deze filosofen uit de Frankfurter Schule en waarom verzetten zij zich tegen de populaire cultuur als de film en de popmuziek? Hoe kan het dat ze als oude, witte mannen toch een grote aanhang onder jongeren hadden en hebben? In this episode of the Epigenetics Podcast, we talked with Maria Gambetta from the University of Lausanne about her work on the function of insulators in 3D genome folding. Maria Gambetta focuses on investigating 3D contact dynamics between enhancers and promoters, providing insights into tissue-specific gene activation. The team used capture-C to analyze dynamic looping events, emphasizing the significance of accessible chromatin peaks in enhancer-promoter interactions. Furthermore, they focused on gene insulation and CTCF's role in forming topologically associating domains in Drosophila. Hi-C analysis on CTCF mutants revealed the conservation of TAD boundary mechanisms, identifying CP-190 as a potential binding protein. Their findings on the loss of TAD boundaries in mutants and the role of transcription in TAD boundary formation are discussed as well as the function of CP190 and insulators in preventing interactions between promoters and enhancers. Their work challenges existing models of insulator function and seeks to understand their mechanisms better. The conversation concludes with insights into long-range regulatory associations in Drosophila, emphasizing the punctual interactions between transcription factor binding sites and their effect on neural gene transcription and genome folding.   References Gambetta, M. This podcast interview focuses on the resilience lessons learned in building 24Sessions between 2015 and 2022. My guest is Rutger Teunissen, founder and former CEO 24Sessions. Rutger is a serial entrepreneur and ex-strategy consultant. He founded 24sessions in March 2015 after realizing that it would never work to completely hand off customer communication to tech. Sometimes, you need a personal advisor to help you out.  Rutger painfully experienced that when he needed a mortgage for his new home. Finding the right advisor, making an appointment, and meeting the mortgage advisor in person was still a long, offline, and frustrating process. He decided to solve this global problem - and embarked on a mission to reinvent the way businesses engage with customers. He successfully sold his business in March 2021, and eventually stepped out in November 2022. The reason why I invited Ruther is to explore the big lessons learned on his journey. Rutger talks about how the initial idea to build a marketplace became a complete failure and what he learned from that. He then explained the pivot and what was required to make that a success. In this podcast, José Teunissen, dean at the School of Design and Technology at London College of Fashion, talks about the way in which the university has had to adapt to Covid-19. For this term, at least, students are having to study online – something that is quite tricky for a course centred around design and practical work. However, Teunissen says that the institution is coping well and has also partnered with IBM to produce the annual graduation show online. Elsewhere, topics such as digitalisation and sustainability are discussed. Teunissen says that both the industry and university have already been exploring digital possibilities, but Covid-19 has pushed this exploration further. To prepare students for the future of the industry, the school partners with organisations such as PVH Corp to look at skills needed for new job roles that will start to crop up in future.  Teunissen also talks about the possibility for new business models moving forward. Whether this be moving away from showcasing at fashion weeks and having physical stores to having a better online presence and engagement with consumers. She would also like to see less of the ‘push' model, where there is a lot of pre-investment and risk for designers and companies, to a model that is more sustainable.  The London College of Fashion is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London in England. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, short courses, study abroad courses and business-training in fashion, make-up, beauty-therapy and lifestyle industries. Teunissen is currently the dean of the School of Design and Technology at London College of Fashion. She is also a board member of the Dutch Creative Industries Council, and chair of the network CLICK/Next Fashion. Additionally, she has previously worked as a journalist and was curator of Fashion and Costume at the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
