This week: Venus makes sweet music with Mars, enters Virgo, and finds beauty in unexpected places with Uranus. Mercury aspects serious Saturn, enters diplomatic Libra, gives voice to Neptune, and gains inspiration from Uranus before getting down and dirty with Pluto. The Sun's face-off with Saturn dominates the Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse at the intense 29th degree. And there is so much to cover in the sky this week that there was no time for a listener question - but look for an answer to a listener question about a Mercury Retrograde-ish eclipse, on Big Sky Astrology's YouTube channel! Plus: Devil's advocacy, beautiful necessities, and things we'd prefer to forget. Read a full transcript of this episode. It's eclipse season! Sep. 15, 8:04 pm PDT, 25º51' Leo-Libra), unlocking inspiration, stirring attraction, and providing financial motivation. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 26 Leo, A rainbow, and Mars is on 26 Libra, An eagle and a large white dove turning one into the other. [4:03] Mercury opposes Saturn (Wed. Sep. 17, 10:47 am PDT, 28º46' Virgo-Pisces), on the Sabian symbols 29 Virgo, A man gaining secret knowledge from a paper he is reading and 29 Pisces, A prism. Reviewing our goals and the stories we tell about them. Delays in travel possible, along with discouraging news. [6:10] Mercury enters Libra on Thu. Sep. 18 (3:06 am PDT, through Oct. 6), and communication is characterized by grace, balance, and tact. An excellent time for negotiations, handling difficult interpersonal situations, persuading others to see things your way. Avoid argumentativeness. [7:35] Mercury opposes Neptune on Thu. Sep. 18 (3:01 pm PDT, 0°53' Libra-Aries). Strong intuition, ideal for artwork, love, spiritual pursuits, but less suited for logic or analysis. [8:29] Mercury trines Uranus on Thu. Sep. 18 (9:52 pm PDT, 1°23' Libra- Gemini). The desire to feel free to say exactly what's on our mind can lead to ill-advised blurting, but it's also a transit of awakening and clarification. [9:50] Mercury trines Pluto on Thu. Sep. 18 (11:27 pm PDT, 1°30' Libra-Aquarius). Mercury with Pluto brings up stark truths we need face. This is a transit of profound insight if we're willing to confront those realities. [11:20] Venus enters Virgo on Fri. Sep. 19 (5:39 am PDT, through Oct. 13). Venus is traditionally in her fall in Virgo because she is exalted in the opposite sign, Pisces. Venus in Virgo favors healthy food, tools, and organizational supplies. Socially, Venus here favors casual, low-key get-togethers, ideally outdoors. [12:55] Venus squares Uranus on Sat. Sep. 20 (8:41 am PDT, 1º22' Virgo-Gemini. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 2 Virgo, A large white cross upraised; Uranus is on 2 Gemini, Santa Claus filling stockings furtively. Socializing can be awkward, changes and disruptions possible in finances or relationships. [14:38] The Sun opposes Saturn on Sat. Sep. 20 (10:46 pm PDT, 28°30' Virgo-Pisces). Have compassion towards yourself and others, and develop persistence. [16:27] Moon Report! A second consecutive Virgo New Moon (the first was on Aug. 22 at 00º23' Virgo) is on Sun. Sep. 21 (12:54 pm PDT, at 29º05' Virgo, and it's a Solar Eclipse. The Sabian symbol for this eclipse point is 30 Virgo, A false call unheard in attention to immediate service. Communication, thoughts, and even movement have extra power around this time. [18:20] The New Moon point is trine Uranus, so the changes associated with eclipses could arrive suddenly or unexpectedly. An eclipse that's close to the South Node in Virgo emphasizes endings, release, letting go, being a little bit too perfectionistic or judgmental. Move toward the Pisces North Node's acceptance and willingness to go with the flow. [19:35] Solar Eclipses repeat on about the same day of the year and close to the same degree of the zodiac every 19 years. Previously, there were Solar Eclipses near this point on Sep. 22, 2006, and on Sep. 23, 1987. [20:34] This is the New Moon in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that will unfold over the coming three years. The First Quarter (first action point) of this LPFC will be on June 21, 2026, at 0º32' Libra. The Full Moon (awareness point) is on March 22, 2027, at 1º35' Libra. And the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) is on December 20, 2027, at 28º14' Virgo. [22:39] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Tue. Sep. 16, the Moon in Cancer trines Saturn (8:14 pm PDT), goes VOC for 2 hours, 6 minutes, and then enters Leeeeeooooo (10:20 pm PDT). Fortify your living space via a cleansing ritual. [23:48] On Fri. Sep. 19, the Moon in Leo conjoins Venus (5:21 am PDT). It's VOC for 2 minutes, then enters Virgo (5:23 am PDT). Try a quick, fun morning activity such as doodling, brainstorming ideas, pulling a tarot card, or some sort of puzzle to get the creative juices flowing. [24:52] On Sun. Sep. 21 (12:54 pm PDT), the Moon in Virgo conjoins the Sun. It's VOC for 1 hour 47 minutes and enters Libra (2:41 pm PDT). This is the New Moon Solar Eclipse. “Devotion” is the word for this VOC Moon period. [25:32] This week's listener question is available as a YouTube video! Keep those questions flowing! As the second eclipse of September, it closes the portal opened by the Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7 and brings the Virgo–Pisces nodal axis into sharp focus. This eclipse at the anaretic degree of Virgo carries karmic urgency, asking us to release outdated patterns. With the South Node in Virgo and the North Node in Pisces, this moment is about clearing, purifying, and refining, so that faith, compassion, and alignment can take root.In this episode of Soul Archaeology, evolutionary astrologer Ali Ofstedal explores:The meaning of the Solar Eclipse in Virgo at 29° and how it bookends Virgo season (from the New Moon at 0° Virgo to this karmic close-out)How the Virgo - Pisces polarity shapes this eclipse seasonThe role of Saturn in late Pisces in bringing spiritual accountability and karmic endingsCollective themes around communication, nuance, polarityPersonal themes of refinement, embodiment, and sacred serviceSeptember 2025 is defined by two powerful eclipses. Shattering. Healing. Rising. Eclipse energy...This week on the Mainly Moonology Podcast, we're navigating the eclipse corridor - that powerful space between a Full Moon and a New Moon eclipse. If you're feeling anxious, raw, or like your nervous system is frayed, this episode is for you.I'll talk about why anger, especially righteous or healthy anger, can actually be a step forward on your healing journey — and why it often surfaces during eclipse season. We'll also explore whether positive thinking is overrated or whether it really does shape your frequency and trigger the Law of Attraction (hint: it does!). With Mercury opposite Saturn, it may feel harder to stay optimistic right now, but Mercury's move into Libra offers the chance for balance and clarity. We'll then look at Virgo themes — your daily habits, health, and routines — and why this is the perfect moment to reset before the Virgo New Moon eclipse arrives. And finally, I'll invite you to join the nearly 4,000 people already signed up for my free Moonology Calling Masterclass, where you'll discover how your chart and the Moon can reveal your soul-aligned career path.Visit https://www.mooncalling.comIf you've been through upheaval recently, or even long ago, know that you're not alone. Uranus will re-enter Taurus on Nov. 7, and turns direct on Feb. 3, 2026 (6:33 pm PDT) at 27°27' Taurus, finally returning to Gemini on Apr. 25, 2026. A transiting planet that's retrograde sometimes appears to behave contrary to its usual mode – in the case of Uranus, seeming to toe the line and go along with the crowd. Note, “seeming to.” [7:14] The Moon trines Mars (Fri. Sep 5, 1:51 pm PDT) at 19°05' Aquarius and Libra. It's VOC for 19 hours, 3 minutes before it enters Pisces (Sat. Sep. 6, 8:54 am). This is an energizing transit for social commitments. [8:03] The Pisces Full Moon (Sun. Sep. 7, 11:08 am PDT) is a total lunar eclipse at 15°22' Pisces and Virgo. The Full Moon reveals what's working in our lives and what isn't. Eclipses represent a crisis or turning point, and Lunar Eclipses are especially important for relationships. The Sabian symbol for the eclipse is 16 Pisces, “The flow of inspiration,” and the Sun is on 16 Virgo, “An orangutan.” Together, they suggest something about letting our inspiration be inspired by wildness and lack of refinement. [9:54] Previous eclipses near this eclipse point: March 9, 2016 (solar); Sep. 7, 2006 (lunar); Sep. 6, 1998 (lunar); March 9, 1997 (solar). Themes from those time periods might be important to you now. [10:39] If you need a little help figuring that all out, ORDER APRIL'S MOONSHADOW ECLIPSE REPORT! For the years 2025, 2026, and 2027, this report will show where all the eclipses are falling in your chart, the aspects they're making to your birth planets, and most importantly, the previous years in their cycles! You can order the report at eclipseastrology.com. [11:21] INTERVIEW: Astro*Carto*Graphy with Ronnie Gale Dreyer. [12:40] What is Astro*Carto*Graphy, and how does it add a new or different perspective to a natal chart? [15:54] An explanation of the planetary lines on an Astro*Carto*Graphy map. [19:28] Interpreting an Astro*Carto*Graphy map alongside a natal chart. [22:07] Looking at planetary lines on an Astro*Carto*Graphy map versus actually experiencing a location. [23:52] Is Astro*Carto*Graphy only useful for deciding where to move or where to travel? [27:24] What is remote activation in Astro*Carto*Graphy? [29:56] What is the first step Ronnie would recommend for someone who is curious about Astro*Carto*Graphy? Does she recommend that people visit their planetary lines in person or activate them in other ways? What are some Astro*Carto*Graphy resources? The Psychology of Astrocartography, Martin Davis, Kepler College, Astro.com were mentioned. [34:25] Make sure to check out Ronnie's offerings on her website! She will be giving a presentation on Astro*Carto*Graphy for OPA in November. [36:13] And that's a wrap for the Sixth Annual Big Sky Astrology Podathon! The Moon enters Aquarius (3:31 am PDT), sextiles Neptune in Aries (5:51 am PDT), trines Uranus in Gemini (6:12 am PDT), then conjoins Pluto (6:40 am PDT). This Virgo season, what if instead of adding more to your to-do list, you focused on contribution? In this astrology for entrepreneurs episode, I'm breaking down why Virgo energy isn't about perfectionism or endless optimization - it's about skilled service and conscious choices about where you spend your precious energetic currency. As Taylor Swift says, "energy is expensive" - so let's stop throwing our energetic coins away on busy work. Whether you have strong Virgo placements or not, this season is asking all of us to choose mastery over martyrdom, presence over productivity, and artistry over optimization. In this episode, I share:

Sep. 1 (1:07 am PDT), until it returns to Aries on Feb. 13, 2026. [7:35] With Saturn in Pisces, the focus returns to spiritual foundations, emotional boundaries, rather than that outer-focused, “let's get it done” quality of Aries. This return of Saturn to Pisces overlaps with eclipse season, which begins at the end of this week with a Full Moon lunar eclipse in Pisces, and the Solar Eclipse at 29 Virgo on September 21, making a close opposition to Saturn in Pisces. [8:51] The Moon squares Saturn (Sep. 1, 6:38 pm PDT) and is then Void-of-Course (VOC) for 6 minutes, when it enters Capricorn (6:44 pm PDT). Use this brief VOC Moon period to get in the habit of being kind to others. [9:45] Interview: Evolutionary Astrologer, Dabney Lawless. OPA and Anne Ortelee were mentioned. [13:19] How does Evolutionary Astrology differ from other approaches to astrology, especially in how it looks at the birth chart? What sets it apart from other schools of astrology? Jeff Wolf Green and Steven Forrest were mentioned. [15:32] The roles of the Nodes and Pluto in Evolutionary Astrology. [21:40] What kind of an experience can a client expect from an Evolutionary Astrology reading? Why would someone choose to have this type of reading? [26:16] What does Pluto bring to an Evolutionary Astrology reading? [32:36] Final thoughts on Evolutionary Astrology. [34:04] Make sure to check out Dabney's website and YouTube channel! Welcome to September 2025—a month that arrives like a cosmic threshold, brimming with closure, transformation, and soul renewal. This is not an ordinary September; it is a rare 9 Universal Month within a 9 Universal Year, creating a potent 9/9 gateway of completion. Collectively and individually, we are being called to release karmic cycles, honor what has run its course, and prepare for the rebirth that follows. In this episode, we'll explore how numerology, astrology, and the turning of the seasons weave together to shape the energetic landscape of this month. The Full Moon in Pisces on September 7 opens a portal of emotional release, intuitive awakening, and karmic reckoning. Conjunct Saturn, this lunar eclipse reminds us to face the illusions we've carried and step into greater spiritual maturity. Just two weeks later, the New Moon in Virgo on September 21 brings us back to earth, asking us to ground our dreams into practical action. Virgo calls us to purify, refine, and align our lives in service to something greater than ourselves. As if that weren't enough, the Fall Equinox arrives on September 22—a balance point between light and dark, inner and outer. This sacred threshold magnifies the month's transformative energy, urging us to embrace harmony and recalibration as we prepare for the inward journey of autumn. Together, these cosmic events form a tapestry of endings and beginnings, guiding us to trust the cycles of life with courage and grace. And of course, we'll look at what all of this means for each zodiac sign. From Aries learning to surrender, to Pisces stepping into visibility, each sign is touched in unique and powerful ways this month. Join me as we navigate September's sacred crossroads, uncovering the spiritual opportunities it brings, and tuning into the wisdom that will guide us into the next chapter of our soul's evolution.Send us a textSupport the showThanks for listening - For questions or comments email Laurie at Laurie@yourlifecore.comInstagram @yourlifecore or Twitter @yourlifecore Facebook https://www.facebook.com/YourLifecoreWebsite www.yourlifecore.com

This week on Cosmic Cousins, Jeff Hinshaw shares a Virgo Season reflection sparked by an unexpected find, a pencil discovered on a morning walk, connecting us to Virgo's archetypal themes of learning, detail, and devotion. In this episode, Jeff is also joined by interdisciplinary artist, educator, and healer Edgar Fabián Frías for a rich conversation on the invitations of Virgo: grounding amidst upheaval, listening to the wisdom of the body, and honoring the sacred in our daily work. Together they explore how Uranus in Gemini is shaping this Virgo season, bringing surprise, disruption, and possibility, and they anchor the conversation with the Page of Pentacles, Virgo's reminder to begin again with curiosity and care. In this episode, I invite you to pause. To step out of autopilot, loosen the grip of rigid schedules, and take a moment to truly feel - your body, your energy, and whether life is moving in alignment with your soul. Even the smallest pause can connect us to what is shifting within, especially during the powerful eclipse season. I reflect on the Akashic Guidance I channeled at the start of August, and how the meaning of these transmissions often unfolds only after we have lived the experiences they point to. Through reflection, the wisdom deepens. And then, I share the story of the New Moon in Virgo on August 23rd - when I met my guru, Paramahamsa Vishwananda. Receiving Darshan from him was the most magical, transformative experience of my life, one that changed me forever. This episode is both a story and a transmission of that moment - an offering of remembrance, love, and awakening. * * * RECEIVE $111 off Quantum Manifestation until August 31st Codes of Destiny Workshop The Orb Method Workshop How to Read the Akashic Records workshop Join us in GUIDED — our living sanctuary of support, weekly Satsangs, monthly Line Activations, workshops, community and more. This month on the Feminine Frequency with Jennifer Mulak, we sit down with a dear friend Beth Carestia. Living in the Hudson Valley for almost two decades Beth has come to love our vibrant and diverse community. Local Tarot Reader, proud O+ Alum performer with The Goddess Party and soon to be the MC for the O+ Festival Comedy Show second year running.Playing faithfully with the Rosendale Ukulele group for some time now has brought Beth joy beyond measure. Also being Beth's fifth time contributing her voice to a Radio Kingston show, all have become sparkling personal highlights. We chat with Beth about recently leaving her 9-5 and stepping into what's next. How the yearning to do something more aligned with her passion and purpose started brewing long before the leap, how the loss of the structure has nudged her to look more deeply inward and importantly, how she values and cares for herself. We talk about how she's approaching life with less structure, more joy and a lot of compassion for self. Having all been there in one way or the other, we all vibe about what it is to be in that liminal space, sometimes called the void or the underworld, between where you've been and where you're going. This past weekend's New Moon is perfectly aligned with what we're talking about and where we're at.Today's show was engineered by Ian Seda from Radiokingston.org.Our show music is from Shana Falana!Feel free to email me, say hello: she@iwantwhatshehas.org** Please: SUBSCRIBE to the pod and leave a REVIEW wherever you are listening, it helps other users FIND IThttp://iwantwhatshehas.org/podcastITUNES | SPOTIFYITUNES: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/i-want-what-she-has/id1451648361?mt=2SPOTIFY:https://open.spotify.com/show/77pmJwS2q9vTywz7Uhiyff?si=G2eYCjLjT3KltgdfA6XXCAFollow:INSTAGRAM * https://www.instagram.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast/FACEBOOK * https://www.facebook.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast
This week, Venus enters the glamorous sign of Leeeeeeoooo and makes inspiring aspects to Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, plus a highly charged opposition to Pluto. Uranus and Neptune connect in their first major aspect since 1993, and the Sagittarius First Quarter Moon focuses on teaching and moving forward into the future. And coming up next week, the 6th Annual Podathon! Plus: Futuristic drawings, things you can't undo, and a little pizazz! Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? Email April or leave it here! Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [2:20] Venus enters Leo on Mon. Aug. 25 (9:27 AM PDT), and will be there through Sep. 19, 2025. It is a sunny, life-affirming position for Venus, but it makes a lot of important aspects this week to heavy planets, bringing some shadows to Leo's sunshine. [3:55] On Mon. Aug. 25 (5:56 PM PDT), Venus trines Saturn at 0º25' Leo-Aries. Saturn tempers Venus in Leo's extravagant tendencies. Acknowledge your responsibility in choosing partners and cultivating relationships. Don't be afraid to ask for help! [6:09] Venus sextiles Uranus (Tue. Aug. 26, 1:58 pm PDT) at 1°25' Leo-Gemini. New ideas appear, especially related to money, values, or relationships. New people may enter the picture and shake you out of your routines. [7:36] Venus trines Neptune (Tue. Aug. 26, 3:18 pm PDT) at 1°29' Leo-Aries. This aspect invites us to see the beauty in others, regard the world with a little more tenderness. Neptune also elevates Venus' creativity with inspiration, even a touch of spirituality. Together, Venus' sextile to Uranus and trine to Neptune remind us that love, beauty, and creativity are best when they open doors to inspiration and into connection with others. [8:49] Venus opposes Pluto (Tue. Aug. 26, 10:54 pm PDT) at 01°51' Leo-Aquarius. Challenges in relationship and finances. Find value in what cannot be taken away. This transit can feel intense but fortunately, it passes quickly. Don't do things that you can't undo. It's only one day, and by tomorrow, things could look quite different. [11:20] Uranus sextiles Neptune (Thu. Aug. 28, 5:14 PM PDT) at 01º26' Gemini- Aries. This is the first of five exact sextiles that they will form to each other between now and June 2027. Uranus' last major aspect to Neptune was a conjunction in 1993, between 18-19° Capricorn (Feb. 2, Aug. 20, Oct. 24, 1993). [13:28] Uranus in Gemini sextile Neptune in Aries, blends inventive thinking with visionary drive. Think outside the box, not just for the sake of novelty, but to serve an inspired vision of the future. This energy is great for breakthroughs in language, technology, art, or activism. If you stay grounded, this transit is powerful for creativity, spirituality, social change and for taking those first steps toward a new world. [15:45] Moon Report! The Sagittarius First Quarter Moon is on Sat. Aug. 30 (11:25 PM PDT) at 08º07' Sagittarius and Virgo. This is our first action point following the Aug. 22 Virgo New Moon (the first of two; the second is on Sep. 21, and is a Solar Eclipse). You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin, just start the journey and trust that the road will open as you go. The Sabian symbol for this First Quarter Moon is 9 Sagittarius, A mother with her children on the stairs. The Sabian symbol for the Sun is 9 Virgo, A man makes a futuristic drawing. [18:16] This is the First Quarter (first action point) in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began with the New Moon in Sagittarius on Nov. 30, 2024, at 9º32' Sagittarius. The Full Moon (awareness point) of this LPFC will occur on May 31, 2026, at 9º55' Sagittarius, and the Last Quarter phase (last action point) is on Feb. 27, 2027, at 9º22' Sagittarius. [19:46] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Mon. Aug. 25 (6:53 AM PDT), the Moon in Virgo sextiles Venus. It's VOC for only 15 minutes, and then the Moon enters Libra (7:08 AM PDT). Cancer likes comfort food, and Virgo likes efficient and healthy nutrition. This Void-of-Course Moon period begins around breakfast time on the west coast of the United States, so this is a great day to start a new ritual of eating a really delicious and nutritious breakfast. [20:55] On Tue. Aug. 26 (7:06 PM PDT), the Moon in Libra sextiles Mercury. It's VOC for 23 hours and 21 minutes, then enters Scorpio on Wed. Aug. 27 (6:27 PM PDT). Leo gives voice to the desire for balance and equality that the Moon in Libra craves. Create a habit of making decisions by using equal parts mind and heart. [22:06] On Fri. Aug. 29 (5:47 PM PDT), the Moon in Scorpio squares Mercury. It's VOC for 13 hours, 17 minutes, and enters Sagittarius on Sat. Aug. 30 (7:04 AM PDT). If someone gets under your skin during this VOC Moon period, try very hard to keep hurtful feelings to yourself. Funnel your anger into some other enterprise, such as vigorous exercise habits, which can help keep the drama at bay and your body strong. [23:22] There will be a pause on listener questions this week and most likely next week due to the 6th Annual Podathon! They will return the week after the Podathon, though, so by all means, keep those questions flowing! [23:50] If you'd like to have a question answered on a future episode, leave a message of one minute or less at speakpipe.com/bigskyastrologypodcast or email april (at) bigskyastrology (dot) com; put “Podcast Question” in the subject line. Free ways to support the podcast: subscribe, like, review and share with a friend! [24:23] A tribute to this week's donors! If you would like to support the show and receive access to April's special donors-only videos, go to BigSkyAstropod.com and contribute $10 or more. You can make a one-time donation in any amount or become an ongoing monthly contributor. The Sixth Annual Big Sky Astrology Podathon is coming up during Labor Day week, with interviews with five great astrologers about their astrological specialties: Ronnie Gayle Dreyer (Astro*carto*Graphy), Margaret Gray (Psychological astrology), Dabney Lawless (Evolutionary astrology), Kenneth Miller (Vedic), and Patrick Watson (Hellenistic)!

The first, asteroid 2025 PF2, zipped past at an altitude of just 22,000 kilometers, while the second, 2025 PU1, came even closer at 29,000 kilometers. Both asteroids, small yet significant, highlight the ongoing risks posed by near-Earth objects, with 2025 PU1 being particularly alarming as it was only detected hours after its closest approach.A New Moon for UranusAstronomers have identified a new moon orbiting Uranus, bringing the total number of known satellites to 26. Detected using NASA's Webb Space Telescope, this moon, estimated to be about 10 kilometers in diameter, eluded previous observations, including those from the Voyager 2 mission. Its discovery adds to the complexity of Uranus's moon system and raises questions about the chaotic history of its rings and satellites.Dancing Dwarf Galaxies and the Milky Way's FateA new study suggests that the fate of our Milky Way galaxy is intricately tied to the gravitational interactions with smaller dwarf galaxies as it approaches a merger with the Andromeda galaxy. By studying similar galactic systems, researchers aim to predict how these cosmic dances will influence the evolution of our galaxy over the next few billion years, providing insights into dark matter and cosmic structure.www.spacetimewithstuartgary.com✍️ Episode ReferencesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Societyhttps://academic.oup.com/mnrasNASA's Webb Space Telescopehttps://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/webb/main/index.htmlBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/spacetime-space-astronomy--2458531/support.

Today in History: Moses climbed up Mount Sinai for the second time on this day (according to tradition, see Exodus 33:18–34:28). Haggai the Prophet received a message from the LORD to rebuild the Holy Temple (see Haggai 1). Yeshua may have started his 40-day fast in the wilderness today (possible date, see Matthew 4:1; Mark 1:12; Luke 4:1). In Temple-times, Rosh Hashana LaBehemot (New Year for Animals) was the day shepherds determined which animals were to be tithed. In the Torah, God told those who own kosher animals to give one tenth of them to the Temple (see Leviticus 27:32–33).This week's portion is called Shoftim (Judges)TORAH PORTION: Deuteronomy 17:14–20GOSPEL PORTION: Acts 11:1–18What verse spoke to you most today and why?Did you learn something you need to do in your life?Daily Bread for Kids is a daily Bible reading podcast where we read through the Torah and the Gospels in one year!
