In this episode, we're joined by Nigel Dick, the acclaimed music video director behind some of the most recognisable videos of the MTV era, including work with Guns N' Roses, Tears for Fears, Oasis, Britney Spears, Cher, and of course The Corrs.Nigel shares the journey that took him from training as an architect and busking on the Paris Metro to working at Stiff Records before eventually becoming one of the most successful music video directors of his generation. We hear how a chance recommendation from Andy Murray introduced him to Forgiven, Not Forgotten, an album he instantly fell in love with, eventually leading to a phone call that would see him direct four videos for The Corrs. This episode's interview is focused on his work for the band on the music videos Only When I Sleep and What Can I Do. Nigel takes us behind the scenes of filming Only When I Sleep at Los Angeles' historic Alexandria Hotel, revealing how the shoot came together on a modest budget and why he felt the videos from the first album hadn't yet captured who The Corrs truly were.Nigel also discusses the story behind directing What Can I Do, from writing a treatment overnight in a New York hotel room to flying across the world to New Zealand for a one-day shoot squeezed into the band's hectic touring schedule. Hear Nigel reflect on the realities of filmmaking in the pre-digital era, shooting on film, the art of music video production, and why The Corrs remain one of the most enjoyable bands he ever worked with! The location of the hotel used for the 'Only When I Sleep' music video can be found via the following link HEREThe location of the church and surrounding areas used in the 'What Can I Do' music video can be found via the following link HERESee images from the set of the 'Only When I Sleep' music video at the following link HERESee images of the chair and bed used in the 'Only When I Sleep' music video as seen on location in 2025 before they were reupholstered HEREA link to Nigel's book 'Music Video Mischief' can be found via Amazon at the following link HERENigel's website can be found at www.nigeldick.comSpecial thanks to Russell Swanson for a copy of the 'What Can I Do' workbook. Send us Fan MailVideo version HEREA forgotten 1889 haunting… a violent poltergeist… and a voice that claimed to be the Devil. In this episode of Into the Fog, I uncover one of the most disturbing and little-known paranormal cases in Canadian history: The Dagg Farm Haunting. After finding a long-lost book and cross-checking it with historical records, I've pieced together a chilling story of a rural family in Clarendon, Quebec, whose quiet farmhouse became the centre of terrifying supernatural activity. We're not just talking about moving objects or strange noises. This case includes: • Spontaneous fires  • Windows shattering with no cause • Objects flying violently through the air • Human waste mysteriously appearing across the house • A young girl physically attacked… her hair torn from her scalp • And most disturbing of all… a disembodied voice speaking obscene and threatening wordsMultiple witnesses, including a visiting investigator, heard the voice for themselves. It claimed to be the Devil… and said it had been sent to torment the family. But was this a genuine supernatural haunting… a hoax… or an invasion of some kind of demonic force. I don't say this often, but I'm tempted to say this one is demonic. After listening all the way through, you'll understand why. And after tracking down the original location and speaking with current property owners, I ask the question: Did whatever haunted the Dagg family truly leave… or has it lingered?Voice WorkJames Andrews - Percy WoodcockShelley Hodgkinson - Mrs DaggGrace Mirza - Susan DaggElyse Rowe (@littlefluffballsandbigcraf7630) - Mary DaggKaye Salter - Dinah McLeanDemon - Peter LawsFor more on Peter Laws check out:www.patreon.com/peterlawsor www.peterlaws.co.uk

Ever feel like your skin is constantly angry at you? Reactive. Stinging. Red for no reason. Like it went from cooperative to completely unpredictable the moment you hit 40? You've probably been told you're just "sensitive now." Maybe you've been diagnosed with rosacea. Maybe you've bought every gentle, fragrance-free product on the market and you're still dealing with irritation. Here's what nobody's telling you: your skin isn't just sensitive. It's inflamed. And there's a huge difference. In this episode, we're diving into something called inflammaging: the chronic, low-grade inflammation that happens in midlife and affects everything from how your skin looks to how it responds to literally every product you put on it. Most skincare approaches completely miss this. They throw more actives at the problem (more vitamin C, more retinol, more acids) which only makes inflamed skin worse. So what's the solution? Turns out, Cleopatra might have been onto something with those legendary milk and honey baths. And no, this isn't about recreating some over-the-top royal spa treatment. It's about understanding why this ritual worked for inflammatory skin and how you can bring that same genius into your own life without needing a palace, a staff, or a dairy farm. In this episode, you'll learn: What inflammaging actually is and why it's wrecking your skin after 40 Why piling on more "anti-aging" products can backfire when your skin is inflamed The anti-inflammatory science behind milk and honey (it's legit) How to create your own weekly ritual that calms your system and gives your skin permission to heal Why this approach works when everything else has failed If you're tired of your skin feeling like it's constantly fighting you, this episode might just change everything. Why Guessing With Your Skin Is Making Things Worse (And What to Do Instead) One of the biggest mistakes I see in skincare isn't neglect. It's reacting too quickly. When something feels off, irritated, or inflamed, most people rush to fix it. Add something new. Remove too much. Overcorrect. And that's often when real damage happens. In this episode, I'm breaking down why guessing with your skin almost always backfires and how to approach skin changes in a calmer, smarter way. We're talking about: Why "doing more" usually leads to more inflammation What to stop when your skin feels reactive or confused What is often safe to keep, even when everything feels wrong How to handle flare-ups without damaging your skin barrier This is a mindset shift as much as it is a skincare conversation. Today I catch up with Jeremy Cain for an update on what's been happening with his case since we last spoke. After his story aired on One Minute Remaining, the community of Pleasant Grove came together to raise awareness and funds to support the Cain brothers. Their efforts made it possible to hire an attorney — but what, if anything, did that attorney achieve? And where does the case stand now?I also need your help to keep spreading the word about the Cain brothers' fight for freedom. Luke Kemp (historical collapse expert; associate at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk) has studied past civilisations and mapped out a picture of how long they tend to last before they collapse, what tends to tip them and what (if anything) can be done to stall their demise. Luke works alongside Lord Martin Rees and Yuval Noah Harari, is an honorary lecturer in environmental policy at the Australian National University and his collapse insights have been covered by the BBC, the New York Times and the New Yorker. His first book, 'Goliath's Curse: The History and Future of Societal Collapse' will be published in June 2025. In this episode I get Luke to provide a bit of a 101 on how civilisations do indeed decline and perish and to update us on the latest theories on how and whether ours might make it through. The answer is surprising.SHOW NOTESHere's Luke's original report on complex civilisation's lifespans.Keep up to date with Luke's work hereA few past Wild guests are referenced by Luke.
