Private Function began with demo recordings at home. First release: "Six Smoking Songs" cassette (100 copies). Reissued with "bin night" sounds layered over it. Another reissue with Christmas carol audio added. Released fake pregnancy tests as band merchandise. "St. Anger" album named after controversial Metallica album. Had to change Spotify artwork due to Metallica similarity. Released an obscure 8-track version of the album. "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" album had Queen-themed artwork. Special "Mystery Bag" vinyl contained bags resembling drugs. Their song "Aubrey Wodonga" became strangely popular in Spain. Released "The First Two Tapes on a 12-inch." Included Subway job applications with the album. 10 copies included handwritten letters of recommendation for Subway. "370HSSV0773H" album featured scratch-off lottery ticket material. Winner received $2,999 and their face on reprints. Needed special gambling exemption to sell in South Australia. Special "gold" edition contained the band members' urine. Another special edition contained beer-making ingredients. Upcoming album will have 100 special variant copies. Chris was banned from America for six years. Recently received American visa for touring. Australian tour in June, European tour in July. Planning potential U.S. tour later this year. One of the most renowned improv artists today best recognized from his 20 seasons as one of the stars of Whose Line Is It Anyway?  Colin currently tours the country with his two acclaimed shows – Asking For Trouble with Brad Sherwood. Colin & Brad had the honor of headlining at the White House Correspondent's Dinner. And then there is Hyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis with Master Hypnotist Asad which also tours after completing a successful Off-Broadway run. In addition, Colin can be seen starring in the feature films – Hey, Viktor!, a Canadian mockumentary and Villians Inc. Colin was a regular for nine years on the British version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Colin also finds to time reprise his role as private investigator Ralph Fellows in the Canadian mystery/crime drama The Murdoch Mysteries which airs on the Ovation Channel in the U.S. Other notable appearances include Amazon's LOL: Last One Laughing Canada where Colin took home first prize in the competitive series and a cameo role in the Kids In The Hall special which also aired on Amazon. Previously, Colin co-starred in CBC's TV movie A Christmas Letter, the theatrical film Boys vs. Girls opposite Kevin McDonald and was a featured in the documentary Act Social about the healing potential of applied improvisation. And last year, Colin received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Performance for his role in the webcast Mass Hysterical: A Comedic Cantata. Colin also authored Not Quite the Classics, published by Viking Books where he takes the first and last lines from familiar classics and reimagines everything in between, taking the reader in bizarre and hilarious new directions. JIM MESKIMEN CELEBRITY IMPRESSIONIST Biography Jim Meskimen is an accomplished actor, improviser and voice artist whose work is well-known to TV and film audiences. He appeared on the British series Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988) several times, and was a recurring character on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990) for two seasons.  He has worked with director Ron Howard on five of his films, including The Paper (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Ed-tv (1999), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) and Frost/Nixon (2008). He has also worked in two films by director Paul Thomas Anderson.  A professional artist, Jim exhibits and sells his realist oil paintings. As a designer/cartoonist, he created dozens of characters, weapons and vehicles for the original "Thundercat's" animated series. Jim continues to dazzle audiences with his improvisational skills and appears regularly on L.A. stages. Richard Vranch is maybe best known for improvising the music in the Channel 4 series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, famously introduced as “Richard Vranch at the piano”. He's also a member of The Comedy Store Players and improvises comedy live on stage every Sunday at The Comedy Store in London, which he has done regularly for the past 39 years. He's also part of the Improv All-Stars and Paul Merton and Suki Webster's Improv Show. The Comedy Store Players have played the Olivier stage at the National Theatre and performed annually at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. They toured India in 2004 and in 2010 they achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest running comedy show with the same cast. They've also appeared at the Globe Theatre annually since the millennium and will be performing there again on the 17th of December 2024. He formed a comedy double-act with Tony Slattery in 1981. The duo hosted the Channel 4 quiz The Music Game and over 100 episodes of Cue The Music on ITV. First up, we dive into Sabrina Carpenter's fiery interview on “Hot Ones.” Imagine trying to keep your cool while Sean Evans mercilessly serves you wings hotter than the sun. Sabrina, bless her soul, talked about her hit song “Espresso” while desperately trying not to combust. The hook “That's that me espresso” became an instant meme legend for its... let's say, unique syntax. She defended her lyrical choice by basically saying, “If you don't get the joke, the joke's on you.” Honestly, Sabrina, if you can deliver punchlines while your taste buds are having a meltdown, you're a hero in my book. Plus, she almost sued Sean for the pain – now that's spicy! Next, let's talk about our President Joe Biden's latest verbal gymnastics routine. It's like he's auditioning for a political version of “Who's Line Is It Anyway?” At the NATO summit, he accidentally called Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, “President Putin.” Talk about a plot twist! As if that wasn't enough, he then mixed up Kamala Harris with Donald Trump. “I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump if she wasn't qualified to be president.” Well, Joe, that's one heck of a hypothetical reality show I don't want to see. And for the grand finale, he couldn't quite get “chiefs of staff” right, calling them “commander in chief.” Someone get this man a teleprompter and a nap, stat! Speaking of political theater, Donald Trump threw down the gauntlet for a golf match against Biden. Trump is convinced this will be the most-watched sporting event ever. Honestly, he might be right. I mean, who doesn't want to see two septuagenarians duke it out on the green? Trump sweetened the deal by promising a $1 million check to charity if Biden wins. Now that's some high-stakes mini-golf drama! Ernie Els even confirmed Trump's hole-in-one from 2022. Yes, folks, miracles do happen – especially when Trump's PR team is around. Brian Jack from Georgia also chimed in, praising Trump's golf game and claiming he shot a 70. I'd believe it if we were playing by Trump's rules, which I'm guessing involve a lot of mulligans and “alternative facts.” This week's episode is a rollercoaster of spice, slips, and swings.
