What can you do to keep up your lifestyle activities while on lockdown and self-isolating? We explore what we've been doing to scratch our itch.Welcome to Episode 22 of Sharing is Caring the podcast! We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy. In this episode we catchup on some of our meets dates from before the lockdown, as well discussing a sensual massage course which we attended via Zoom.We also discuss the various things we have done to scratch our exhibitionist itch and stay in touch with our friends while on lockdown. These include: Video calls. Various quizzes and flirting with sexy friends Chat groups. We have found that people are focusing more on building connections rather than rushing to arrange a meet. Camera shows. We have done some camera shows on Chaturbate, it's a fun way to be an exhibitionist while making a few dollars on the side! Videos on Pornhub. We've made and uploaded a few videos to pornhub and really enjoyed watching the number of views climb. Posting photos online. We really enjoy posting pictures to reddit, we've had some great conversations with people resulting from it and it's a fun way to feel sexy when you can't leave the house. Virtual parties. Since all parties have had to be cancelled, some organisors are still hosting virtual parties so you can still keep up with your friends. We answer the listener question: In your podcast you’ve said a few times that you don’t meet people online much and that you prefer to meet people at socials. Why is that? Have you had bad experiences which have put you off?Feel free to get in touch or to submit a listener question for future episodes. Kelly and Dermot are joined by translator Kenji Hayakawa to discuss the gargantuan task of translating Finnegans Wake into Japanese.  We discuss Naoki Yanase's translation of Joyce's classic novel into Japanese, creating special software Japanese characters to tackle Joyce's various coinages, why Japanese is an ideal language in which to read Finnegans Wake, why only translators truly understand Finnegans Wake, the sadism of Finnegans Wake, the influence of Harriet Shaw Weaver, and how Finnegans Wake is the antidote to book club hierarchies. Other topics covered include one possible source of Joyce's hatred of Gogarty, the correlation of antisemitism and nationalism and the legend of the Wandering Jew and its influence on Ulysses. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.After covering a heavy, serious topic last time, this episode is a lot more light hearted and fun! We have an interview with a good friend. We have all had a few drinks and are having some fun, so it is a bit chaotic (and a nightmare to edit!), but there is some good stuff in this episode, so it's worth a listen. For our catchup, Cherie talks about a vanilla event which she recently attended where the conversation turned to sex parties. We then recount Mew's recent sexy sleep over. Main topic Our main topic is an interview with Cyan, who was originally a school friend of Kiwi. Cyan also moved to Europe, and eventually London. In the interview with Cyan, we discuss our first experience converting from pant-on to pants-off friends. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.It's a heavier topic, so this show is slightly shorter. This is an episode I’ve been really looking forward to, and worried about. It’s such a large complex topic and I want us to get it right, but still be entertaining! So to preface this episode, just a reminder that we are by no means experts and we’re on a journey of figuring all this out.For this podcast we’ll talk a bit about what bisexuality is, we’ll cover the kinsey scale, and briefly talk about labels. Then we’ll discuss how we experience the lifestyle from the perspective of being a bi couple, and finally how being bi influences our every-day livesWe are recording this on the final of pride month and we’re going to release it on the week leading up to London Pride, which is next Saturday 6th July! We’ll be there to party and we’ll bring along a few stickers. In our catchup we talk about our recent trip to the coast to visit the Bed Hoppers! While visiting, we did a short session recording for their up-coming podast, so check out their next episode if you want to hear! Main topic In our main topic we briefly cover: - The Kinsey Scale - A modified scale to account for various types of attraction - Labels - Bisexuality vs Pansexuality - Being bi in the lifestyle - How being bi impacts our every-day lives - Some issues faced by the bi community - A few famous people throughout history who were/may have been bi Listener Question We revive an old listener question from episode 3/4 when we first mentioned that we are bi and answer: “How long have you known that you were bisexual and when do you first remember being attracted to men/women?”Feel free to get in touch or to submit a listener question for future episodes. Swinger Burnout and why we haven't been as active latelyWelcome to Episode 6 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!Note: The sound quality is not as good in this episode, we will fix the problems for episode 7.We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London.First things first, we have booked our holiday in Cap d'Agde! We will be staying at Le Jardin de Babylone from Saturday 17th to Sunday 25th August 2019. If you are planning to be in Cap d'Agde at the same time, get in touch! For our main topic we talk about why we haven’t been as active over the last several weeks and address Lifestyle Fatigue, or Swinger Burnout. We discuss potential causes, including: - Illness - Pregnancy and childbirth - Too much going on in normal life - Too much going on in lifestyle - Relationship issuesWe go on to answer a couple questions: How do you relationships while having a break? and How long we take a break for? / When is it time to return? We then explore ways to explore and manage fatigue: - Make time for yourselves and your relationship - Use a calendar - Prioritise who you want to spend your time with Listener Question We answer a question submitted by someone who read our review of Le Boudoir on reddit: We've been enjoying lifestyle clubs for a while now, but are a little nervous about Le Boudoir. We've seen a bunch of reviews where couples go and then either get asked to not attend again, or are not invited to attend in the first place. We are both conventionally attractive with a touch of alternative so not too worried on that front. Our main curiosity is just what the crowd was like when you were there? We have been led to understand that fairly heavy people are basically not invited to attend. Our male half is a hair off normal BMI, and female half is around size 14-16 so we are not big, but are not gym fit either. We are losing weight and firming up and have been for a few months now (thanks swinging!), but are trying to figure out if we should get slimmer and fitter first before applying and attending, or if we are already fairly average compared to the crowd there and would be safe to take the plunge. If you could share some thoughts as to what you saw with the average and lower ends of the crowd in terms of appearance, that would be really helpful in assisting us understanding the thresholds! Much appreciated and thanks for the review from a couple of months ago. Feel free to get in touch or to submit a listener question for future episodes. Recruiting a new Unicorn from TinderWelcome to Episode 5 of Sharing is Caring the podcast! We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. We are finally back from our holiday in New Zealand! After being home for a week, the jetlag is fading but Kiwi's NZ accent is still strong. Catchup: Neither of us had ever used Tinder before, so while in Dunedin we decided to download and try out Tinder for the first time with a couples profile. We were lucky enough to meet a beautiful single woman who shared some of the same interests as us... Blanket forts! Continuing the Journey For this portion of telling our story we talk about inviting "Tina" and "Josh" over to our flat for a bit of soft fun. Cherie's favourite part was definitely the massage with coconut oil at the end. Listener Question We answer a question submitted by a friend of ours: I’m single and want to get into the swinging scene and want to meet up with couples to play, but I don’t want to just be seen as a kind of novel for couples to use without considering my feelings. A transcript of our conversation and link to the episode can be found at the bottom of the show notes. For our catchup portion we talk about the "social" we attended last Saturday where we were the only couple (other than the organisers), and pole dancing. We then continue our story about our journey into the lifestyle. This time we discuss our first visit to Rios, a naturist spa in London which has couples night on Saturday. This episode we have our first real listener question!: We've been thinking about this for a while now and both want it and talking to you and your podcast has made us so much more confident to try it soon. I would love to know more about Kiwis bi experiences when swinging. I am nervous about my bicuriosity being obvious or a problem as so often only the woman is expected to be bi in foursomes. Kiwi talks briefly about being a bisexual man in the lifestyle and we decide to dedicate an episode to the topic.Feel free to get in touch, and to submit a listener question for future episodes. Under the previous law, obscene acts included things like Female Ejaculation, BDSM and Face-sitting, which is absolutely crazy. The major change is that Crown Prosecution Service are no longer defining what is classified as obscene and have removed all examples. In a statement, they said “It is not for the CPS to decide what is considered good taste or objectionable”. Instead the guidance will give criteria which any potentially objectionable material will be evaluated against. The four main criteria are: the likely audience is not under 18 it is not otherwise linked with other criminality no serious harm is caused, whether physical or otherwise it features consenting adults, where the provision of consent is made clear where consent may not be easily determined from the material itselfThe last point is really the one which really matters: it features consenting adults, where the provision of consent is made clear where consent may not be easily determined from the material itselfNow, this isn’t just a win because it allows people to produce and consume porn which reflects their identity and desires, but as Pandora Blake, a self identified performer and porn producer who was interviewed on the podcast mentions, it mean that mainstream porn producers will need to start to show the performers giving and even negotiating consent. This is already something which is a lot more common for kink producers, but at the moment it’s not really part of mainstream porn. Anyway, I don’t want to spend the whole podcast talking about the social impact of consent in porn, so I’ll stop now. It’s a short 10 minute segment at the beginning of the episode with a debate, it’s worth listening to, I’ll put the podcast info into the show notes, go check it out after you finish listening.Support Sharing is Caring by donating to the tip jar: https://tips.pinecast.com/jar/sharing-is-caringFind out more on the Sharing is Caring website.Support Sharing is Caring by donating to their Tip Jar: https://tips.pinecast.com/jar/sharing-is-caringFind out more at http://sharingiscaringpodcast.com

After our belated discovery of the aural excellence of Boogie Belgique earlier this year we have been digesting their back catalog.  This is some really great stuff.Today's track comes from a July 2012 Dusted Wax Kingdom release called Blueberry Hill.  Amazing from first note to the last.Boogie Belgique is based in Ghent.  Here is a little more on the release from the liner notes:From top to bottom "Blueberry Hill" is filled up with electro swing moods, funky hip-hop rhythms and tasty jazzy samples. Dive in and lose yourself...
