On this episode of BSTV, Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the legendary Jody Breeze, a member of the iconic hip-hop group Boyz-N-Da Hood. They began by discussing his upbringing in Griffin, Georgia, and his subsequent move to South Florida for school. However, early trouble led to a move back to Griffin with his family. Breeze then recounted his journey into rap, revealing that he wasn't initially drawn to the genre but was discovered by a local radio station after freestyling over the phone. This chance encounter led to a meeting with Jazzy Pha, who ultimately signed him to his label before the age of 18. After signing with Jazzy Pha and Noontime., Breeze went on to join Boyz-N-Da Hood with Young Jeezy, Big Duke, and Big Gee, and release the hit single “Dem Boyz.” The song became a global phenomenon, and one of the biggest songs out at the time. Breeze addressed a recent story made by Jeezy on the Drink Champs platform, where he claimed that Jeezy had everyone leave the studio to record his verse. He clarified that this was not the case. The conversation then turned to rumors surrounding the legendary T.I. and Trick Daddy, who was originally part of the group. Breeze shed light on the reasons behind their departure before the release of their first album. He also discussed his second album with the group, revealing that he had been mentally checked out by the time it came out. Breeze touched upon his personal life, including his relationships and the challenges they've posed. He spoke fondly of his friendship with Lil Wayne, acknowledging Trick Daddy's early mentorship to him. Breeze also shared his interactions with Diddy and discussed Diddy's recent R.I.C.O. case. The episode concluded with Breeze ranking his top five Atlanta rappers and his top five rappers of all time. He also commented on the recent beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, expressing his thoughts on the rap battle. Finally, he discussed Nas's song “Ether,” declaring it the greatest Diss track of all time. https://www.youtube.com/c/BadSpeakersTV https://www.instagram.com/badspeakerspodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@badspeakerspodcast https://twitter.com/BadSpeakers https://www.facebook.com/badspeakerspodcast
On this episode of BSTV, Ya Boi Shad & G. Downs sat down with the legendary Gorilla Zoe. They began by discussing his origins, growing up in Griffin, Georgia, before moving to California and eventually settling in Atlanta. They then delved into his journey into hip-hop, revealing that he never aspired to be a rapper. However, fate intervened when he met Bloc Ent. Gorilla Zoe shared the story of writing the hit song “Hood Nigga,” which was initially intended for the group Boyz N Da Hood. Bloc Ent convinced him to record the track, which catapulted him to fame. Gorilla Zoe also spoke about joining Boyz N Da Hood after Jeezy's departure. His debut album exceeded expectations, propelling him to international stardom as a rap artist. He reminisced about collaborating with other hit artists like Young Joc, Lil Wayne on “Lost,” and Rick Ross on “You Know What It Is.” The conversation then turned to Gorilla Zoe's close relationship with legend Gucci Mane, and their early collaboration "Walk With A Waddle". He also addressed the question of Gucci Mane's bipolar disorder. Gorilla Zoe shared his experiences working with the legendary producer Zaytoven. He then discussed his departure from Bloc Ent and the enduring cordial relationship they maintain to this day. As the episode drew to a close, Gorilla Zoe reflected on his past bad purchases and shared his list of the greatest rappers from Atlanta and the most influential rappers in the city. https://www.youtube.com/c/BadSpeakersTV https://www.instagram.com/badspeakerspodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@badspeakerspodcast https://twitter.com/BadSpeakers https://www.facebook.com/badspeakerspodcast

In this episode the crew gets together to discuss Netflix’s Concrete Cowboy. The movie is BoyZ N Da Hood meets an episode of the Dr. Phil with troubled teens, how bout dat. The movie tells two story’s in two genres. First, there’s the story about the troubled teen who’s forced to live with his estranged father for the summer and all the quintessential drama that comes with that. Secondly, is the story of the Fletcher street cowboys that is a true story. The purpose of the film seems to be to call attention to this culture of Black cowboys in an urban settings. There are maybe a total of 6 actors in the film with the rest being real Fletcher street cowboys and cowgirls, so keep that in mind before judging the acting. Overall it seems like neither story got adequate attention and for that the movie seems half assed. Let us know what you think. Happy Women's Day! We talk about Boyz N Da Hood, Vaccinations, Doing Comedy, and Steph Curry's Personality
Smokey Da Bandit January 1st, 1981, Terrell J. McSee was born at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois. His mother gave birth to 2 other siblings with him being the oldest of them all. As for having a father present it was not evident, but the love was still felt. His mother was the one to lead by example by consistently moving him to and from in pursuit of a better environment for him to grow up in. However, it was not possible because trouble seemed to be in each area in which they settled. When he was eleven years old, his uncle was murdered. Music became his voice to shout out to the world his views and feelings. In 1994 Smokey moved from the Lake County Area to Chicago’s South Side and started running reckless in the streets with some of his closest friends. Music was his savior. After a couple of “wrong turns”, Smokey decided to stay focused on his music more and began hitting the studios hard and achieving real accomplishments. Since then Da Bandit has created a buzz in the streets with his music and by performing in various events & Open Mics. He was blessed with the opportunity share the same stage with industry artist such as: DO OR DIE, TRAE THE TRUTH, TWISTA, BIZZY BONE, YOUNG GUNZ, PETEY PABLO, BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY, FAT JOE of Terror Squad, PROJECT PAT, BOYZ N DA HOOD, GOODIE MOBB, BUN B of UGK, SHOCK G of Digital Underground, RAY J, MAINO, L.E.P BOGUS BOYZ, NAPPY ROOTS &More. He has even hosted several party events as well as his own “THE WRITER’S BLOCK” Open Mic Events. Some of his many accomplishments are CD’s like “The Flesh is Weak…The Soul Is Immortal”, his sophomore album called “Chicago Syndicate” which gained him attention from local media outlets, and his previous released junior CD entitled “Neva Satisfied”. He has 6 Mixtapes available on Datpiff.com and has become hands on in videos as well. As humble as he can be Smokey Da Bandit is someone who receives praises from almost everyone who hears his music. So, to know him is to only love his music even more. Smokey is affiliated with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (Mo Thugs/ Harmony Howse Ent./Flesh-N-Bone Global) & tours with them periodically. Smokey is a 2x Chicago Music Awards Winner (2017 Best New Entertainer & 2019 Best Urban Indie Entertainer) & just recently released his 6th solo album “JUVY WORLD” dedicated to his slain cousin, available for downloading/streaming on all digital platforms.
