Im Februar haben Irene und Rebekka die in Wien lebende Schriftstellerin und Drehbuchautorin Jessica Lind getroffen. Das Gespräch kreiste um ihren zweiten Roman, "Kleine Monster", um Horror, Märchen und Horrormärchen, Mutterschaft, Feminismus und Familiendynamiken, um Jessicas Hang zu Ambivalenz und Spannungsbögen, den Spaß am Überarbeiten und so manchen Griff in die Trickkiste des filmischen Schreibens, den sie auch für ihre Prosa macht. Jessica Lind wurde in St. Pölten geboren und lebt in Wien. Sie studierte an der Filmakademie Wien und schrieb u. a. mit der Regisseurin Magdalena Lauritsch den Science-Fiction- und Weltraumfilm "Rubikon", der 2022 in den Kinos zu sehen war. 2015 gewann sie mit der Erzählung "Mama" den open mike, woraus ihr gleichnamiger Debütroman hervorging. Ihr zweiter Roman, "Kleine Monster" war für den Österreichischen Buchpreis 2024 nominiert.

Na to, že čelil výsměchu kvůli své teorii o zrodu, růstu a úpadku civilizací, si během let zvykl, vstupem do politiky se ale automaticky zařadil do kategorie druhořadého občana, na kterého je pohlíženo jako na hajzla a zloděje. Že to bude takhle děsivé, nečekal, svého rozhodnutí ale nelituje. Je přesvědčený, že nemáme jinou možnost než zkoušet směřovat k tomu, abychom byli lepší než ti před námi. Prakticky je to naše povinnost a s vědomím toho kandidoval. Česká republika podle něj netrpí nedostatkem osobností, problém je, že ve vedení země chybí miliardáři, ředitelé firem, vojáci nebo vědci. Jejich zapojení je tím nejdůležitějším, co tuzemská politika potřebuje, bez nich se nepohneme. Za nevyhnutelnou považuje i změnu fungování EU, která najela na slepou kolej a řítí se do betonové zdi. Dost možná k ní přitom dojde skokově, protože papiňák se tlakuje a vše nasvědčuje tomu, že poklička z něj brzo odlítne. A silně destabilizovaná je i demokracie. Navzdory tomu ale nevnímá budoucnost jako ztracenou. Radši bude Don Quijote než lúzr v rohu, který jenom nadává. Za pár dní budou v Německu předčasné parlamentní volby. Odehrávají se v mimořádné situaci, kdy se na denní bázi projevuje nezvládnutí velkorysé migrační politiky, ekonomika stagnuje a politické strany jsou rozdělené v otázce strategie energetické politiky.Některá německá média označila za migrační Rubikon události v Aschaffenburgu, kde 28letý Afghánec pobodal a usmrtil několik lidí. Po Mannheimu, Magdeburgu, Solingenu a jiných městech jde o další projev nezvládnuté kriminality spojené s masovou migrací z let 2015/16. Rozdíl byl v tom, že parlamentní opozice, podporovaná částí někdejší vládní většiny, odhlasovala usnesení o migrační a azylové politice (výzva vládě, aby zastavila pokusy o nelegální vstup do země, okamžitě zadržela osoby, které musí zemi opustit, a zpřísnila právo pobytu pro usvědčené zločince). Toto hlasování vedle CDU/CSU, FDP a BSW podpořila také protestní AfD.Namísto debaty o násilí zachvátila německá média diskuse o přípustnosti hlasování s touto stranou. Na základě tohoto usnesení pak byla navržena novela zákona, která neprošla v poměru 350:338. Ukazuje to na jednu věc. Očekávaný vítěz voleb, německá CDU/CSU, původně chtěl jako pilíř svého volebního programu udělat ekonomiku. Nicméně události posledních měsíců a let toto téma vytlačily na okraj a nedělní německé volby budou především o migrační politice.Otázkou je, zda lze v Německu převzít rakouský model, kdy tamní lidovci vzali do vlády populistickou stranu Svobodných a odčerpali tím její protestní potenciál. Německá společnost je však výrazně rozdělenější než rakouská, takže výsledkem zřejmě bude nějaký široký kompromis stran levého a pravého středu.Tématem číslo jedna objektivně zůstává ekonomika a hledání nového modelu prosperity. Získá předpokládaný budoucí německý kancléř Merz dostatek politické síly, aby provedl deregulaci, nebo německé firmy odejdou do USA a v Německu ještě posílí krajně pravicové strany?

Part Weird West, part heist movie, part WTF, the film will not be for everyone. It is easily one of the most memorable things we have seen this year, and not always for the best reason. The film is set 30 years in the future, where a mysterious cloud of toxic pollution has suddenly covered the earth. On the space station Rubikon, the three crewmembers on board with vastly differing world views must decide whether they risk their own lives to save those who may still be alive on earth or ignore the old world to build a new one of safety and solitude, living off the station's sophisticated algae symbiosis system. As they grapple with the idea of their own mortality, isolation, and moral responsibility, the three struggle to come to a unanimous decision that could affect the fate of humanity. Vojna v koalícii pokračuje. „Premiér Eduard Heger (OĽaNO) nepovedal k tomu jedno rozhodné slovo,“ povedala v podcaste Lívia Černická. Predpovedá, že súboj Heger – Matovič ešte len príde. Parlament stále neschválil protiinflačný balíček, a ani novú daň z ropy. Príčinou je rozhádaná koalícia. „Šéfovi OĽaNO Igorovi Matovičovi už nestačí vymedzovanie sa voči opozícii, ale oprášil starého koaličného nepriateľa Richarda Sulíka,“ povedala v podcaste Počúvajte pravdu Lívia Černická, šéfka domáceho spravodajstva denníka Pravda. Podľa nej sa líder najsilnejšieho koaličného hnutia OĽaNO už nebude môcť spoliehať na podporu Smeru či Hlasu, lebo si kladú podmienky. „Vyzerá to tak, že mu pomôžu extrémisti,“ dodala. Ak by sa tak stalo, Matovič by prekročil Rubikon. „Už nikdy nebude môcť vyčítať Robertovi Ficovi (Smer), že ťahá za jeden povraz s fašistami,“ vysvetlila v podcaste.

Priznanje Luganska in Donecka je bistveno bolj nevarno kot ruski vojaški odgovor na gruzijsko vojaško provokacijo leta 2008 v Južni Osetiji. Takrat je ruska vojska prvič po hladni vojni napadla svojo sosedo. Zdaj je bistveno bolj zapleteno. Ne glede na Putinov poskus revizije zgodovine v njegovem nagovoru je priznanje nedopustno, še manj pa posledična vojaška akcija. Putin, podobno kot v primeru zasedbe polotoka Krim leta 2014, izvaja nevarno politiko zaščite rusko govorečega prebivalstva. Ukrajina je 30 let neodvisna in samostojna država. Putin je prestopil Rubikon in geopolitični zemljevid Evrope se spreminja. Najbrž posledično sledi najhujša zaostritev odnosov med zahodom in Rusijo.
