Der einfühlsame Chemiker geht von einem 2:0-Sieg der kriselnden Rasenballer aus, glaubt keine Sekunde an einen Leipziger Breis-Gau, addiert schonmal die dann anrauschenden Punkte aus dem Heimspiel gegen Dortmund dazu und stellt fest: „Dann können Oliver Mintzlaff, Marcel Schäfer und Jürgen Klopp gar nicht anders, als Marcos Vertrag bis 2030 zu verlängern.“ Meigls schwer beeindruckter Podcast-Partner Guido gibt zu denken, dass Meigls letzte Vorhersehung von einem Heimsieg gegen Mainz 05 gehandelt hatte und derb verrutschte. Seit August 2024 ist Auf den Tag genau bekanntlich nicht mehr in Berlin, sondern in Hamburg beheimatet; allerdings umfasst unser Portfolio seither auch Zeitungen aus Orten, die damals noch nicht gehörten bzw. heute nicht mehr zu Hamburg gehören. Die Hansestadt Lübeck tat dies bekanntlich noch nie, dennoch schauen wir heute, wie bereits vor vier Tagen, ein weiteres Mal über den Tellerrand hinaus und in den Lübecker Volksboten, der – um die Verwirrung komplett zu machen – am 20. Februar 1925 freilich eher in hamburgischen Gewässern fischte. Die großen Heringsbänke, in die uns Rosa Leu gleich entführt, lagen und liegen nämlich vor allem in Nordseegewässern. In diesem Sinne: Ahoi und gute Fahrt!

Na? Etwas Casu Marzu (Madenkäse) oder Balut (angebrütete Eier) zum Frühstück? Nein? Eklig? Wäre in Sardinien oder auf den Philippinen aber eine Delikatesse! Und wie steht's mit Hákarl, fermentiertem Hai aus Island? Der Ammoniakgeruch dieses "Gammelhais" löst bei vielen Menschen Würgereflexe aus - und sein Verzehr ist schon längst in den sozialen Medien eine Challenge. Aber spätestens beim Surströmming - schwedischem fermentiertem Hering in Dosen, der in den Konserven weiterreift, sodass es wegen Explosionsgefahr verboten ist, diese Dosen in ein Flugzeug mitzunehmen - reden die einen von der schlimmsten olfaktorischen Zumutung, während einige Schweden diesen Müffelfisch mit Zwiebeln, Kartoffeln, Knäckebrot und viel Alkohol als Sommerdelikatesse empfinden. Dafür werden diese Schweden wahrscheinlich etwas anderes als eklig empfinden. Vielleicht Sauerkraut? Deshalb sprechen wir heute über eine Emotion, die wir alle haben, über die aber wenig geredet wird: Ekel! Ekel hat eine evolutionspsychologische Funktion, ist aber auch kulturell und individuell geprägt. Man kann sich vor physischen Dingen wie Gerüchen oder Schimmel ekeln, vor Dingen und Tieren, man kann sich aber auch vor Handlungen oder Amoral ekeln. Es gibt Menschen, die keine Ekelgrenze haben, was es ihnen leicht macht, Straf- und Gräueltaten zu begehen. Und natürlich Menschen, die sich sehr leicht ekeln, die u.a. aus Ekel vor Schmutz und Bakterien einen behandlungsbedürftigen Zwang entwickeln. Und so reden wir mit Euch über unsere Ekelerfahrungen, die wir in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt gemacht haben und über die Grenze, ab der Ekel pathologisch werden kann. Most of us say we'd speak up and do the right thing - that we'd not conform to horrible societal standards.  We hear that, for example, when people speak about what happened during World War II in Europe.
