In De Perstribune zijn deze week presentator/model Loiza Lamers en schaatsbestuurder Jan Dijkema te gast. Loiza Lamers werd 2015 de winnaar van Hollands next topmodel – het programma dat ze nu presenteert. Ze was de eerste transvrouw die in Nederland doorbrak als model. Lamers was kapster maar besloot zich op te geven voor deze modellen-wedstrijd op tv. Het betekende haar doorbraak en door haar openheid over haar sekseverandering werd ze ook het boegbeeld van trans-vrouwen. Schaatsbestuurder en politicus Jan Dijkema is de man aan wie we de ploegenachtervolging en de massastart te danken hebben, maar niet alleen dat: hij is ook mede-uitvinder van de trekkershut en de langeafstandsfietsroutes in Nederland. Uit ons gesprek zou blijken dat zij duidelijk iemand is die niet terugdeinst voor een uitdaging meer of minder! Ilse licht in eerste instantie haar onderzoeksproject rond interprofessioneel samenwerken toe – een thema dat iedere zorgverlener aanbelangt en waar de patiënt centraal staat. Hoe creëer je een omgeving waar verschillende disciplines naadloos samenwerken voor de best mogelijke zorg? Wat is kwaliteit in zorg, hoe optimaliseer je communicatie tussen zorgverleners? Daar kunnen zorgverleners in opgeleid worden, levenslang leren is een must. Ilse deelt haar inzichten en ervaringen en geeft tips. Maar er is meer waar we het ook nog over hebben. Zo duiken we dieper in onderwerpen als directe toegang tot kinesitherapie. En natuurlijk bespreken we één van Ilse's favoriete onderwerpen: Multiple Sclerose (MS). In the push for competency-based education where faculty verify the skills of what a student can do, rather than their knowledge, our series focuses on the application of didactic content with a practical approach so that you can learn nuances of clinical skills before you reach the bedside.  This episode explores wellness for the pediatric nurse practitioner. We first discuss burnout in terms of its physical and mental impact on the provider as well as poorer patient outcomes and healthcare systems burdens. After we identify symptoms of burnout and compassion fatigue, we'll discuss what wellness looks like in various systems at work from organizational culture of wellness to ease of daily work and finally personal resilience. We end with a discussion on self-compassion and introduce the evidence in support of meditation as a strategy to promote mind-body wellness. For some, this concept is new, so the technical aspects of meditation are unpacked to facilitate your own path to daily wellness. Hoe is het lab tot stand gekomen? Wat is het verhaal van het lab? Hiervoor hebben wij Hans Lamers gevraagd.
