Marc-André Leclerc was a Canadian alpinist known for his incredible climbing, both with a partner and solo climbing. At a young age found solace and expression in climbing, and it could be seen by how he lit up while in the mountains. But, Marc tragically died in 2018 at age 25 while climbing in Alaska with Ryan Johnson. This is their story. The outdoors are a beautiful that can be filled with light and bliss and many different ways to bring yourself closer to those you love and yourself. But they can also be filled with terror and death, imminent and oppressive. Join me as we dig into these stories that inspire you to be just a little bit more careful while you're in the outdoors. Seit mehr als vier Jahrzehnten ist Uwe Kamps inzwischen schon bei den Fohlen unter Vertrag – erst als Torhüter, danach viele Jahre als Torwarttrainer und nun seit knapp drei Jahren als „Head of Goalkeeping“. Kamps hat viel mit Borussia erlebt und entsprechend ebenso viel zu erzählen. Dessen bevorstehenden 60. Geburtstag am 12. Juni hat Moderator Torsten Knippertz deshalb zum Anlass genommen, sich in der neuen Ausgabe des „FohlenPodcast - Der Talk“ mit Kamps über dessen Leben und Karriere zu unterhalten. „Bunte Trikots, Ohrringe und die vier gehaltenen Elfmeter. Über diese Dinge habe ich in meinem Fußballerleben wahrscheinlich am meisten gesprochen“, berichtet der langjährige VfL-Schlussmann zu Beginn der gut 90-minütigen Folge. An das irre Pokal-Halbfinale 1992 gegen Bayer Leverkusen, in dem Kamps tatsächlich vier Elfmeter parierte, erinnert er sich natürlich gerne zurück. „Auf der anderen Seite wurde ich durch dieses Spiel oftmals auf einen Elfmeterkiller reduziert. Es waren aber noch ein paar mehr Sachen, die ich in meiner Karriere geleistet habe“, unterstreicht Kamps. Gerade zu Beginn seiner Laufbahn seien seine schrillen Outfits und extravaganten Frisuren nicht bei jedem auf Gegenliebe gestoßen. „Ich bin – rückblickend auch zurecht - brutal mit Jupp Heynckes angeeckt. Ich habe ihn damals verflucht, aber er hat mich auf den Weg gebracht und im Nachhinein war er das Beste, was mir passieren konnte, um später so eine Karriere hinzulegen“, sagt Kamps. Bis heute verfolgt ihn dieses Thema noch. „Vor allem die Nummer mit den Haaren vergessen meine ehemaligen Teamkollegen nicht", gibt der „ewige Borusse" lachend zu. In dem unterhaltsamen Gespräch blickt der 59-Jährige auf die Höhen und Tiefen seiner aktiven Laufbahn zurück, verrät unter welch kuriosen Umständen Marc-Andre ter Stegen damals zu seinem Bundesligadebüt für Borussia kam und warum ihm seine aktuelle Aufgabe als „Head of Goalkeeping“ so viel Spaß macht. Darüber hinaus erzählt Kamps, welche Ex-Spieler bis heute enge Freunde von ihm sind, wie eine Grätsche sein Standing in der Mannschaft veränderte und welchen Torhütern aus dem FohlenStall er den Sprung in den Profibereich zutraut.

If misinformation is simply incorrect information, can it be solved simply by telling people the right answer?  In this episode, we learn how misinformation can prevent people from voting if they think they aren't eligible or can't vote by mail; how misinformation can convince people to take certain drugs to cure a disease even if it's not proven to be safe; and the ways misinformation can draw people into conspiracies like QAnon. But it's not as simple as dispelling all misinformation from our midst. That seems impossible. Rather, in dialogue with Dr. David Robertson from the Open University, what we will discover points to a different question: Why do people believe misinformation at all and what does it do for them? In other words, instead of focusing on what people believe, perhaps the phenomenon of misinformation directs us to ask what beliefs do - who they favor, who they put in power, who they marginalize, and who they leave vulnerable. And by understanding the mechanics, maybe we can mitigate the damage misinformation does to our public square. Brette Harrington is an American professional rock climber and alpinist based in Lake Tahoe, California and British Columbia, Canada. She was featured in the 2021 film The Alpinist alongside her late partner, Marc-André Leclerc., who died while climbing from an unexpected avalanche.  She is best known for the first free solo of the 760 meter (2,500-foot) Chiaro di Luna (5.11a) in Patagonia, for her development of new alpine climbing routes, and as the star of Brette, a Reel Rock Film Tourshort film. Harrington's long-time partner, fellow alpinist Marc-André Leclerc, was confirmed dead after going missing during a climbing expedition near Juneau, Alaska in March 2018. Following Leclerc's death, Harrington devoted two years to working on alpine routes. She spent the first year processing Leclerc's death while she "was deep in the mountains". Harrington dedicated her May 2018 Mount Blane route to Leclerc, writing: "We have named it Life Compass for a number of reasons. Primarily because my life has taken such a sudden 180-degree turn since the loss of Marc in March and alpine climbing has been my guide. I dedicate this climb to my climbing mentor, partner, and love Marc-Andre who would probably solo it the following day if he was here." Ferran Torres scored the match-winner as Barcelona secured another 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou. With this win, Barça edge closer toward the LaLiga title. Moreover, this win vs Atletico also stops the negative streak of results that Barcelona had in the last couple of weeks.   The first half saw Barcelona in control of possession, but Atletico had a couple of good chanced. However, just before the break, Raphinha found Ferran, and the Spanish winger scored the winner. Barça restore their 11-point lead over Real Madrid with just eight games to go.   Atletico's 13-game unbeaten streak — stretching back to Barça's win at the Metropolitano in January — came to an end. But Barcelona were close to scoring more vs Atletico. Gavi, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski all missed chances to seal the win earlier. Although Atletico also had their moments. On his return to Camp Nou, Antoine Griezmann hit the bar inside 40 seconds and was Atletico's biggest threat throughout. Furthermore, the Frenchman also drew two saves from Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who kept a 23rd clean sheet in 30 LaLiga games.
