Every heartache, frustration, disappointment, and failure can become an instrument in God's hands—not to crush you, but to draw you nearer. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef challenges you to ask a powerful question in the middle of oppression: How can I turn this situation into an opportunity for God? Here are several faith-strengthening responses to trouble: Remember God is with you. You are never facing life alone. When His voice feels quiet, choose patience—be still, wait, and trust before you make your next move. Keep a positive mindset. This isn't denial. It's deliberate focus—choosing to keep your eyes on Christ and believing God is fulfilling His purpose even through pain. Look for God's hand in the storm. Trials can be evidence of His nearness—His loving presence surrounding you, grieving when you're mistreated, and moving on your behalf. Do not lose heart. God will supply the strength, wisdom, courage, and comfort you need to take the next faithful step—especially when life feels impossible. If you're facing pressure right now, this devotional will help you trade despair for perspective and move forward with confidence that God is actively at work—for your good and His glory. Prayer: God, it's difficult for me to understand why I am going through the struggles that I am, but I know that You can use them to draw me closer to You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “[W]e also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (Romans 5:3-5). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Youssef's sermon series Freedom from Fear: LISTEN NOW The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.

God, everything feels too much right now. There are too many thoughts at once. Pressure has built quietly, and what seemed manageable earlier now feels heavy. Even small things are starting to carry more weight than they should. I feel that. The noise in my mind.  The tension in my body.  The sense of being pulled in too many directions. I feel it. But I will not stay in this place. I come to You. You are not asking me to push harder. You are calling me to be still. So I step out of the noise. I release what is overwhelming me. I release the pressure that is crowding my thoughts. I release it. And now, I receive. I receive Your peace.  I receive the stillness that settles within me. I receive the calm that steadies my mind. I receive. You are God. Not the pressure. Not the noise. Not the urgency. You are. And because You are, I do not have to carry this. So I slow down. Week 2 | The King Has Come: Peace

"Christmas is DYNOMITE"

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 8, 2025 49:23

In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl continues the series The King Has Come with a raw and life-giving exploration of the second great gift Jesus brings: peace.Turning to the familiar yet profound scene in Luke 2:8–20, Pastor Karl invites us into the midnight terror of ordinary shepherds—suddenly confronted by the blinding glory of God—and shows how the very first words from heaven that night were not “Merry Christmas,” but “Fear not.” That first Christmas did not begin with sentimental calm; it began with paralyzing, mega-fear. And right there, in the middle of stacked-on-stacked fear, the angel announced good news of great joy: a Savior has been born who is Christ the Lord, the Prince of Peace.With pastoral tenderness and unflinching honesty, Pastor Karl unmasks fear as the mortal enemy of peace—how it magnifies threats, shrinks our view of God, and paints our future in colors darker than God ever intended. Yet the gospel is stronger: peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a Person. Peace is not something Jesus gives; peace is who Jesus is—and He gives Himself.Through the shepherds' journey from terror to testimony, we're given clear, scriptural paths out of fear and into the unshakable peace of Christ: speaking God's truth over fear's lies, refusing to agree with the spirit of fear, drawing near to Jesus through spiritual disciplines, and taking bold steps of obedience that move us against comfort and toward surrender.This is a word for everyone whose heart has been ruled by anxiety, worst-case scenarios, or the quiet fears that steal joy—especially in this season. A tender yet urgent call to stop trusting the unknown future to our own control and start trusting it to the known God who entered our fear as a baby in a manger.Because the King has come, fear does not get the final word. Peace does. And when the Prince of Peace takes over a life, what spills out is no longer fear—but praise, testimony, and unshakable confidence in the goodness of God.Essential listening for anyone who longs to trade fear for the peace that passes all understanding this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

God calls a nation to stillness, to peace, to trust, and to the knowledge that He alone is God. His presence brings calm where the culture feels pressured, healing where hearts feel tired, and strength where people feel stretched.Japan carries beauty, discipline and resilience, yet many face quiet emotional pressure, uncertainty and restlessness. But the Lord has not forgotten Japan. He speaks peace over its cities, comfort over its people and hope over its future. His promise stands: He will be exalted in the nations and His presence will lead the way.Lord Jesus, stretch Your hand over Japan. Bring peace to cities, healing to families, unity to communities and rest to anxious hearts. Strengthen pastors, leaders, young adults and students. Let revival rise in homes, workplaces and churches. Pour out Your Spirit on this nation and awaken hearts to Your presence.Prayer focus: Pray for peace across Japan; pray for healing from stress, anxiety and emotional pressure; pray for unity in families and communities; pray for spiritual awakening in cities and universities; pray for wisdom for leaders; thank God that He will be exalted in Japan.Life application: Speak Psalm 46:10 over Japan today. In Week 2 of our "Finished" series, we look at the beauty of God's finished work in creation. From Genesis 2:1-3 to Colossians 1:15-20, we see that God's work is complete, sufficient, and a gift to us. Yet, so often, we live as though we have to keep striving. The good news? Jesus' finished work in creation is an invitation to rest. Join us as we discover how true rest comes not from what we do but from trusting in what God has already done.For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! In this episode, Pastor Dom teaches us about the importance of hearing from God and some of the ways that we can focus in on God's voice. John 10:2727 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.Romans 1:20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,Ecclesiastes 3:11He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts,…Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.Romans 10:17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.John 14:2626 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.Romans 8:11 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,..2 Timothy 3:16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,John 10:1010 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.Psalm 103:12As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.1 Kings 19:11-1211 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.Psalm 46:1010 Be still, and know that I am God;

Are you tired? Does life feel too heavy for you? We miss, many times, the truth of God in our lives. We try to relieve the feelings of heaviness and tiredness of our souls with things that just don't work and if they work they don't very long. Jesus actually gives us what we need to find rest for our souls. He gives us what we need to relieve that heavy burden that is weighing us down. This year we need to become the person that God has in mind knowing that the person he has in mind doesn't need to do anything but come to Him. He brings rest. His yoke is easy and light.
