Cabir bin Abdullah (r.a.)'in Hendek savaşı sırasında başından geçen bir olayı şöyle anlatır: “Hendek günü yeri kazârken sert bir taşa rastladık, durumu Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'e bildirdik. Resûlullâh (s.a.v.): “İnip onu ben kıracağım” buyurdu. Taşı kırmak için doğrulduğu zaman, karnına bir taş bağlamış olduğunu gördük. Üç gün olmuştu ki, hiçbir şey yememiştik. Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) bir vuruşta taşı parçaladı. Eve gitmek için izin istedim ve gittim. Eşime, “Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'de açlık alâmetlerini gördüm, doğrusu sabrım tükendi, evde yenilecek bir şey var mı” dedim. Eşim bana, biraz arpa ile bir oğlağımız var” dedi. Önce oğlağı kestim, sonra da arpayı öğüttüm. Eti çömleğe koyduk. Hamur mayalanmış, et de pişmek üzere idi. Eşim bana, “Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) ile cemaatine karşı mahcup olmayalım” dedi. Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'in yanına varıp yavaşça bana misafir olmalarını arzettim. On kişiden az bir cemaatle gelmelerini söyledim. Bunun üzerine Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) Cabir (r.a.) diyor ki, eşimin yanına varınca: “Çok mahcup olacağım, zira Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) bütün Muhacir, Ensar ve diğerleri (r.a.e.)'i getirdi” dedim. Eşim: “Hiçbir şey olmaz, Allâh (c.c.) ve Resûlü (s.a.v.) yemeğin miktarını bilir” dedi. (Buhari) (Mehmet Çağlayan, Ehl-i Sünnet ve Akaidi, s.144-145

Does randomness lie in the eye of the beholder? ‘What' is music? Why is ordering often a consequence of scaling? Is there such a thing as non-repetitive music? Do there need to be ‘types' for there to be repetitions? Are there patterns out there independent of us? What would a Kantian say? Are fundamental algorithms at the heart of Nature? Does this conflict with fundamental laws of physics? Why can't finite state machines count? Are Turing machines able to recognize repetitions? How? Why isn't any combination of notes a raga? Why is ‘Sa' the fixed point in Hindustani classical music? Can the link between moods and musical keys / notes / ragas be understood via the pigeonhole principle? Is there a deep link between repetition and consonance (or dissonance)? Do we tend to classify things that are not ‘not different'? Is the ability to have knowledge of similarity a distinct faculty? How are multiple renditions ‘in' a raga same yet different? Can repetitions help charge our musical consciousness? Do ever-fresh accents make repetitions rhythms? Is there asymmetric dependence of error on truth? &, do hallucinations ‘repeat' Reality? Last month, Brand South Australia launched the new ‘Buy SA. For SA.' state-wide initiative encouraging consumers to look for local products to support South Australian businesses and in turn, boost the state's economy. South Australians spend around $10 billion in supermarkets and grocery stores each year, according to ABS data. Switching as little as five per cent of that figure towards local products would provide hundreds of millions of dollars in support for local South Australian producers. The ‘Buy SA for SA' campaign is running across across TV, cinema, radio, outdoor, digital and press, and will be amplified in South Australian supermarkets through point of sale that helps highlight the local products on shelf. In this segment, we hear from Jessica Douglas, Manager of Brand South Australia and leads the team in celebrating all that is great in our state and helping strengthen SA's reputation as a place to live, work, travel and invest. Franklin dos Santos, Chief Executive Officer of Foodland Supermarkets Australia and Brand South Australia Advisory Board Member. This episode of Streets of Your Town comes to you (again!) from the streets of the Woodford Folk Festival, where the sublime singing of Punjabi Australian singer and dancer Parvyn Kaur Singh drew me into her orbit. As it turns out Parvyn had just completed a cross country adventure from her South Australian home, bringing all her family up in her Subaru wagon so she could perform at the Festival. She brought her new solo expression to Woodford audiences for the first time, synthesising a lifetime of dance and song into into her debut record ‘Sa'. Her eclectic influences range from electronica and jazz to her background in Sikh devotional music and her training in Indian classical music and dance.  But while Parvyn was one of the farthest flung artists performing at this year's festival, she's actually also one of the longest participating - having come to the Woodford Folk Festival since she was a child. As Parvyn says - she's been coming to Woodford before it was known as Woodford. And as she tells us on Streets of Your Town, Parvyn feels grateful to be giving back to the Woodford Folk Festival post pandemic, just as her solo career is taking off, having been featured in Rolling Stone India. Emirü'l mü'minîn Hz. Osman (r.a.) şehîd edildiği günün gecesinde, rü'yâsında Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'i gördü. “Ey Osman, yarın bizim yanımızda iftâr edersin” buyurdu. Sabahleyin kölelerini isyancılara karşı durmaktan men etti. Çünkü şehidlik saâdetine kavuşmak istiyordu. Abdullah bin Riyâh ve Ebû Katâde (r.a.e.) söyle anlatmışlardır: “Biz Hz. Osmân (r.a.)'ın kuşatıldığı sırada yanında idik. Kavga şiddetlenince, Hz. Osman (r.a.)'ın köleleri kılıçlarını ellerine aldılar. Hz. Osman (r.a) onlara, “Kim kılıcını kınına sokarsa, o azad olsun” dedi. Biz dışarı çıktık. Giderken Hasan bin Ali (r.a) ile karşılaştık. Onunla birlikte Hz. Osman (r.a)'ın yanına geri döndük. Hz. Hasan (r.a), “Ey müminlerin emiri! Senin emrin olmadan ben Müslümanlara kılıç çekmem. Sen hak üzere halifesin. Emret, bu belâyı senin üzerinden def' edeyim” dedi. Hz. Osman (r.a), Hz. Hasan (r.a)'a: “Ey kardeşimin oğlu, evine git, otur. Allâhü Teâlâ'nın emri ne ise o olacaktır. Ben kan dökmek istemiyorum. Bu gece rü'yâmda Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'i gördüm. “Harb edersen nusret bulursun. Eğer harb etmezsen şehîd olup, yarın gece yanımda iftâr edersin” buyurdu. “Ben Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) ile iftar etmek istiyorum” dedi. Bu durum muhabbet makamında dertlere ve belâlara teslim olmak alâmetidir. Nitekim Hz. İbrahim (a.s.)'ı mancınığa koyup, ateşe attıkları sırada, Cebrâil (a.s.) gelip, “Bir arzun var mıdır?” diye sorduğunda, var ama sana değil “Hasbiyallah ve ni'mel vekîl” yani, “Bana Allâhım yetişir. O iyi vekîl, yardımcıdır” buyurmuştur. Hz. Osmân (r.a)'ın şehid edildiği gün, Cühcân bin Sa'îd Gıfârî, Resûlullâh (s.a.v)'den yadigâr kalan bir asayı, Hz. Osmân (r.a.)'ın elinden kapıp, dizine koyarak kırmak istedi. Görenler, yapma diye bağrıştılar. O kimsenin dizinde eklem kısmında bir hastalık meydana geldi. Bir sene geçmeden o hastalıktan öldü. Allâhu ta'âlâ created Paradise and Hell. He declared that He will fill them both. A great many human beings and genies will go to Hell. But he will put most of the creatures into Paradise, thus His mercy will exceed His wrath. Genies are more than ten times as many as human beings, and angels are more than ten times as – 268 –many as genies. Since all the angels will be in Paradise, creatures in Paradise will be more numerous. Who will remain in Hell eternally? Those who do not perform salât? Those who commit sins? No! The enemies of Allâhu ta'âlâ will burn eternally in Hell. The Muslims who committed sins are not Allah's enemies. They are guilty human beings. They are like a naughty, guilty child. Will parents become an enemy towards their naughty child? Hell consists of seven levels. The first level is the least vehement. But it is seventy times as vehement as worldly fire. Its name is Jahannam. Here, a group of the Muslims will be purfied of their sins. Heretical people will certainly be burned in Hell for some time. Kâdî Zâde Ahmed Emîn Bey, who revised the book Vasiyyetnâme by Imâm-i Muhammed Birgivî, says: “The Muslim who will get out of Hell last will have burned for seven thousand years with the time measurement of the Hereafter. One year of the Hereafter is as long as a thousand worldly years.” The second level of Hell is more vehement. Its name is Sa'îr, People who interpolated the Torah will burn there [Ibni 'Âbidîn]. These people do not believe in Hadrat Îsâ (Jesus), who is Allah's Prophet, and they slander this great Prophet by saying, “the son of an unknown father.” They changed the Tawrât, thus defiling Allah's book, and after Hadrat Mûsâ, they martyred one thousand Prophets who were sent to advise them. People who changed the Bible will burn in the lower third level of Hell called “Seqar” which is more vehement. For, they did not follow Hadrat Îsâ's commands and denied him by interpolating the Injîl (Bible). In addition, they have become worse than Jews – they have even become polytheists – by saying that there are three gods and that Îsâ is God [Ibni 'Âbidîn]. [Some of them say that Jesus is the son of God.] Îsâwîs (real believers of Hadrat 'Îsâ) were not polytheists before Christianity was defiled and idolatry was mixed with it. Jews are farther away from Islam. [Ma'rifatnâma and Tazkira-i Qurtubî] In the fourth level called “Jahîm,” those who worship the sun or the stars will be hurled. In the fifth level called “Hutamah,” those who worship fire or the ox will go. Buddhists and Brahmans will be tortured in the sixth level called “Lazy,” along with those with no religion, and polytheists. In the seventh level called “Hâwiyah,” the very bottom, the most vehement level of Hell, munâfiqs and murtadds will burn. The order of these seven levels is not the same in the books Tafsiri Mazharî and Gâliyya. A person's going to Hell, that is, his being a disbeliever, becomes known at his last breath, when he dies. If an unbeliever, that is, a man without îmân, becomes a Muslim, or if a Muslim with many sins and crimes, or who is a holder of bid'at, repents, all such people become pure Muslims. They will not go to Hell. Endless Bliss First Fasicle | Page 268-270

It is written in the book entitled Kimyâ-yi Sa'âdat: “Hadrat Abû Sa'id-i Khudrî ‘radiy-Allâhu ta'âlâ 'anh' said: Rasûlullah would give grass to an animal. He would fasten a camel. He would sweep inside his house. He would milk the sheep. He would patch his shoes. He would patch his underwears. He would eat with his servant. When his servant got tired of grinding with small millstones, he would help him. He would go shopping and bring what he had bought in a sack to his home. When he met somebody, he would be the first to greet, whether the other was poor or rich, young or old. He, first, would hold out his blessed hand when he wanted to shake hands. He held the servant, the master, the black and the white as equal. He would go wherever he was invited, no matter who invited him. He would not despise what was put before him to eat, even if it were only a little. He would not reserve meals from evening to morning or from morning to evening. He was good-natured. He liked to do favours. He established friendly relations with everybody. He was affable and he spoke pleasantly. He wouldn't grin as he spoke. He would look sorry, but he would not frown. He was modest, but he was not low-natured. He was – 248 –majestic; that is, he would inspire respect and awe. But he was not unkind. He was polite. He was generous, but he would not waste, nor would he give anything in vain. He used to pity everybody. He always bent his blessed head forward. He would not expect anything from anybody. He who wants happiness and peace should be like him.” Endless Bliss First Fasicle | Page 248-249

[It is written in the two hundred and ninth page of the book Âmentü Şerhi, written by Kâd›zâde Ahmed Efendî: “In Hell, there is a place called Zemherîr. That is, it is the cold Hell. Its cold is so vehement that it cannot be endured even for a moment. Disbelievers will be tormented by being thrown now into the cold Hell and then into the hot one, and then again into the cold one and then again into the hot one.” It is written in the sixth chapter of the fourth part of the book Kimyâ-yi Sa'âdat, and also in the – 179 –chapter “Calling One's Nafs to Account” at the end of the book Kıyâmet ve Âhıret, which is the Turkish version of the book entitled ad-Durrat al-Fâkhira, by Imâm-i-Muhammad Ghazâlî, that there are cold zemherîr [1] torments in Hell. This fact is also stated clearly in hadîth-i-sherîfs. By attacking Islam through lies and slanders, the enemies of religion say, “Because all Prophets came to hot countries, they always frightened people with fire by saying that fire was the means of torment in Hell. If they had come to the poles, to the cold northern countries, they would have said that the torment would be done with ice.” These disbelievers are both ignorant and stupid. As a matter of fact, if they knew of the Qur'ân and if they had heard of the words of the great men of Islam and if they were a little clever, they would become Muslims immediately. At least, perhaps, they would not be so mean as to write these reckless lies. Our religion both declares that there are also cold torments in Hell, and states that Prophets were sent not only to hot countries, but also to every country on earth, hot or cold alike. The Qur'ân answers the questions asked to our Prophet in accordance with the knowledge and understanding of the people who asked them. Also, it explains the unknown beings in the next world by likening them to the ones which people have seen and known in the world. Since the Meccans had not heard of the poles and of the countries of ice, it would be useless to tell them about the freezing torments of Hell. The existence of such information compatible with this subtlety in the Qur'ân and hadîths causes today's unbelievers to become more confused.] Endless Blıss First Fasicle | Page 179 - 180

Hadîs-i şerîflerden anlaşıldığına göre hazret-i Fâtıma, hazret-i Hadîce, hazret-i Âişe, hazret-i Meryem, hazret-i Âsiye dünyâ kadınlarının en üstünüdürler. Hadîs-i şerîfde: “Fâtıma, Cennet hâtunlarının üstünüdür. Hasen ve Hüseyn de, Cennet gençlerinin yüksekleridir” buyuruldu. Bunlardan sonra Eshâb-ı kirâmın en üstünleri (Aşere-i mübeşşere)dir. Cennetle müjdelenmiş on kişidir. Bunlar, hazret-i Ebû Bekr-i Sıddîk, Ömer-ül-Fârûk, Osmân bin Affân, Alî bin Ebû Tâlib, Ebû Ubeyde bin Cerrâh, Talha, Zübeyr bin Avvâm, Sa'd bin Ebî Vakkâs, Sa'îd bin Zeyd, Abdürrahmân bin Avf “rıdvânullahi teâlâ aleyhim ecma'în.”

Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.) İsfehânlı'dır. Künyesi Ebû Abdullâh'dır. Emîr-ül Mü'minîn Ömer (r.a.) onu Medayn'a vâlî ta'yîn etdi. Emîrül Mü'minîn Osmân (r.a.)'in halîfeliği zamanında vefât etti. Siyer âlimleri Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.)'in uzun ömür sürdüğünü ve Hz. Îsâ (a.s.)'ın vâsîsine ulaştığını, iki yüz elli sene veyâ dahâ fazla yaşadığını söylemişlerdir. Enes (r.a.) şöyle rivâyet etmiştir: Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) bir hadîs-i şerîfte: “Sâbıklar (öncekiler) dört kişidir. Arabın sâbıkı, önderi benim. Rûmun sâbıkı Suheyb'dir. Ace¬min sâbıkı Selmân'dır. Habeşin sâbıkı Bilâl'dir” buyurdu. Diğer bir hadîs-i şerîfte: “Selmân bizdendir, Ehl-i beytdendir.” buyurdu. Şöyle nakledilir: Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.)'in vefâtı yaklaşınca hanımına, bir miktâr misk verdi. “Onu suya koy ve başımın etrâfına saç, insan ve cin olmayan kimseler yanıma geleceklerdir.” dedi. Hanımı dedi ki, söylediği gibi yaptım, sonra dışarı çıktım. İçerden “es Selâmü aleyküm yâ Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'in sâhibi, arkadaş.” diye bir ses duydum. İçeri girdim vefât etmişti. Yatağında uyuyor gibiydi. Sa'îd bin Müseyyib (rh.a.), Abdüllah bin Selmân (r.a.)'den naklen şöyle anlatmışdır: “Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.) bana dedi ki, “Ey kardeşim, hangimiz önce vefât ederse, önce vefât eden kendini hayâtta olana göstersin.” dedi. Ben “Bu mümkün olur mu?” diye sordum. “Evet mümkün olur. Çünkü, mü'minin rûhu bedenden ayrılınca, istediği yere gidebilir. Kâfirin rûhu siccînde habsedilmişdir.” dedi. Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.) vefât etdi. Bir gün kaylûle için uyurken rü'yâmda Selmân-ı Fârisî (r.a.)'in geldiğini gördüm. Selâm verdi. Selâmını aldım ve “Yerini nasıl buldun.” dedim. “İyidir, tevekkül et, tevekkül ne iyi şeydir.” dedi ve bu sözü üç kerre tekrârladı. (Molla Cami, Şevahidü'n-Nübüvve, 408.s.)
