She was the Chief Coordinator with the Indian Music Industry (IMI) and is a Senior Advisor to 9.9 Media. Recently she became Advisor to the Committee on Private Security Industry at FICCI. Ms. Manjari Jaruhar retired as Special Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). She was selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS), the elite crime prevention and law enforcement cadre of the Indian Civil Service, in 1976 and has held positions in the State Governments of Bihar and Jharkhand, the National Police Academy (NPA), the CISF and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). She has led teams in a wide range of complex and challenging assignments that have prepared her for a career in the private and social sector. From fighting crime to administering a massive organisation, Ms. Jaruhar has shown exemplary leadership in a domain traditionally dominated by men. She is the recipient of the Government of India's Police Medal for Meritorious Service and the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service. She was awarded the Director General's Commendation Disc for outstanding service twice in the CISF and once when she was with the CRPF.Specialties: Security and protection of large undertakings, recruitment and personnel management, management of training and all gender related issuesAfter the enactment of the law on Sexual Harassment at the Work Place she has been invited frequently to share her experiences by several organizations. Montana lawmakers have asked the Montana Department of Military Affairs to investigate allegations of sexual harassment and financial mismanagement at the Fort Harrison VA Medical Center.
In this episode, we discuss two elements of a recently released white paper titled “Women in the Workplace in 2025: Utahns' Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes.” The two we'll be talking about today will be the gender pay gap and sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination. Based on an 83-item survey conducted in October and November of 2025, this study collected data from more than 5,200 Utahns across both representative and convenience samples. This marks the third consecutive year of data collection, allowing us to examine how perceptions and experiences have shifted since the 2023 and 2024 surveys. In this episode, we'll walk through key findings from the two sections mentioned to better understand the challenges, trends, and opportunities shaping the lives of Utah women and girls today.Dr. Susan Madsen, an Extension Professor of Leadership at Utah State University and the Founding Director of the UWLP and A Bolder Way Forward, is joined by two Bolder Way Forward leaders. In this piece, I discuss the sexual harassment I experienced at the Centre for Effective Altruism, the organisation's response, the outcomes of two independent legal reviews, and the final settlement. In the second part of this piece, I make cultural critiques of CEA and EA more broadly. Everything shared here reflects my own experience and perspective. I have anonymised the perpetrator, but I reference specific leadership roles where I believe this to be appropriate and necessary. I was never officially informed of its existence; I only learned about it informally through one of the recipients. After I filed a harassment report, the incident was independently investigated and determined to be harassment. Judges' Secretary, Andiswa Mengo's lawyers are gearing up to make submissions to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on the Judicial Conduct Tribunal Report outcome against Judge President Selby Mbenenge, which they charge "romanticises sexual harassment in the workplace". This, after the Tribunal Report recommended a lesser sanction of misconduct against the Eastern Cape's top judge, which effectively saves him from possible impeachment.
