Part 3 of crossover Crisis across the multiverse  Fight scenes and stunts N/A Time Travel / Crisis / Cameos Earth-203 New Gotham - Huntress (Birds of Prey TV show) Plan to rescue as many from other Earths and bring them to Earth 1 Oliver Queen / Green Arrow - Earth 1 Trip to Purgatory; Constantine needs help to get into Purgatory, goes to Earth-666 and gets Lucifer to help (repayment for Maze); picture fades, trapped in Purgatory Constating, Diggle, and Mia go to Purgatory - Lian Yu for Oliver Oliver attacks; Diggle gets him back Jim Corrigan - Constatine knows him too; Corrigan - your destiny is to save everyone, you must become the Spectre Team Arrow Diggle pissed about not being told about Oliver Supergirl - Earth 38 Determined to use book to bring back her Earth Team Supergirl J'onn J'onzz - Hero Paragon Superman - 38 (Hoechlin) N/A Superman - 96 (Routh) Couldn't save people; black - even in the darkest time, hope brings us out Batwoman - Earth 1 Gets Lex to talk about the book, giving Lex the opportunity to rip out a page Confronts Kara about using the book; we're doomed if something happens to you Gives Kara Bruce's kryptonite thing; Kara tells her to keep it Barry Allen / Flash - Earth 1 Go to source of anti-matter wave - in Central City - with Killer Frost and Vibe Nash is Pariah - witness tragedy Earth-90 Flash on treadmill Convinces Black Lightning to help Flashtime conversation w/Flash 90 - time for Flash to vanish in Crisis Go reverse on treadmill Parting moments w/Cisco and Caitlin Earth 90 Barry takes Barry's speed force; keep riding the lightning, son Bonding moment w/Black Lightning; lessons from fathers  Team Flash Cisco helps Ray w/detector Killer Frost and Elongated Man Paragon of Love Cisco - Vibe again “thanks” to Monitor; gets Flash Iris - Barry's tells her that her heart will convince Ryan to be a hero; parting moment with Barry Sara Lance / White Canary   Ray / Atom  Ryan Choi Paragon of humanity Recognizes Ray Palmer; working in miniaturization I'm no hero; if the world's ending, then I need to be home Iris talks him into helping them Team Legends   Monitor Anti-Monitor wants to replace this universe with his own Can only attempt to save what remains Sent Earth-90 Flash away, allowing Anti-Monitor to find him His world and family died; distracted by work Only Earth left You'll know what to do when the moment arrives, Pariah Harbinger Arrives on Waverider; memory fuzzy Flash and Superman figure out she's the enemy; is the Anti-Monitor; destroys Earth-1   Anti-Monitor Flash 90 on treadmill; failsafe - cannon destroy all Earths at once. Takes over Harbinger Mobius Takes Novu's power; destroys Earth-1 Lex Luthor Of course he's going to take a page from the book and make himself a hero  Pariah Controlled by Anti-Monitor; bears witness Cisco vibes his memories Brings Black Lightning, who doesn't know about multiple Earths and whose Earth is gone Teleports Flash, Sara, Batwoman, Supergirl, Superman, J'onn J'onzz, and Ryan to the Vanishing Point - outside of time and space; Lex comes out of Superman to rewrite destiny Black Lightning Contains energy from canon Not from Earth-1 Rage against the dying of the light  Thorns: SP All three episodes sort of feel like a waste now because everything is gone Loved the cameos, but some are obscure for Arrowverse fans Choi Lucifer Spectre Stargate Pioneer Jon Cryer - what a great Lex - plus the Christopher Reeve connection in Superman IV. Yes, I know we've discussed it before but I felt it needed to be mentioned again. The way the Flash cast just miraculously portals in Punctuates the separate episodes and not true continuous miniseries event Black Lightning just a bit more than a cameo It would have been nice to see Oracle on Earth 203 World's Finest confrontation ...a bit old with Batman v Superman Why does Vibe live again when Cisco went through the whole arc of becoming non meta again? - I know, because plot and he was the only one to get through the treadmill force field. But….really? Chris Why isn't Dig the Green Lantern yet? Spectre reveal kinda came out of nowhere Michelle  Still upset that we didn't see Nash become Pariah or Lyla become Harbinger and why she ended up w/Anti-Monitor and as the Anti-Monitor If Anti-Monitor could destroy all Earths at once, why not do so? (I know, because plot, but still) Oliver didn't need to become the Spectre; Corrigan would've been great to see Roses SP -  All the cameos. John Wesley Shipp's 90's flash gets an ending Diggle's issue about not being with Oliver - true to the characters Routh's Superman … again. Chris John Wesley Shipp is OG flash again! and we get an actual 90s flash flashback Brandon Routh is still great. Can we give him a Superman show? Diggle and Oliver's friendship is shown to be a big deal when he's the one that pulls him out. Lex tricks everyone (keep in mind he sees himself as a hero normally). BUt bummed it's Routh Supes that is gone :( Kara and Kate conversation ends when Kara tells her to keep the kryptonite   Michelle  Lucifer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Tom Ellis and the show. Maze is Mazikeen, loyal servant/friend of Lucifer's; Constantine helped bring her out of Hell to Earth; there are rules preventing Lucifer from just bringing whoever he wants out of Hell; even Lucifer has to go back to Hell; visit is pre-TV show Treadmill from comics; a Flash has to die; flashback to Flash TV show (knew this was going to happen, still teared up anyway) Logical reason to bring in Black Lightning Diggle brings back Oliver Still loving Snart as the voice of the Waverider For reference: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Easter Eggs and References in Part Three (10 Dec 2019) https://comicbook.com/dc/2019/12/11/crisis-on-infinite-earths-part-3-easter-eggs/     ARROW NEWS:   CW Reveals When Arrow, Flash, Batwoman and More Return From Winter Hiatus (Date: 18 Dec 2019) Both Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will air on Jan. 14 to close out the Arrowverse's "Crisis on Infinite Earths". DCOCD is the DC Comics EVENT PODCAST where we discuss, contextualise and rank every single DC event in order starting with 1985's Crisis on Infinite Earths up to... we're not sure yet. Superman is the sole survivor of Krypton. Except for Supergirl. Oh, and except for Krypto. Also, except for Zod and the Phantom Zone villains. And don’t forget about these 100,000 other Kryptonians! What’s going on? It’s SUPERMAN: NEW KRYPTON which shows how the people and Krypton and the people of Earth can completely fail to live in peace together. It’s the mega-event that started in 2008 and ran till 2010 from the impressive creative forces of Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Sterling Gates, James Robinson, Peter Woods, Eric Trautman, Yildiray Cinar, Renato Guedes, Jesus Merino, Eddy Barrows, Jamal Igle, Alex Ross, Gary Frank, Pere Perez, Cafu, Joanthan Sibal, Jose Wilson Magalhaes, Steve Wands, Brian Miller, Keith Champagne, Jared K Fletcher, Thomas S Chu, Santiago Arcas, Rod Reis, Kevin Senft, Eduardo Pansica, JP Mayer, Javier Bergantino, Matt Idelson, Rob Leigh, John J Hill, David Curial, Javier Pina, Bernard Chang, Andrew Robinson, Pablo Raimondi, David Baron, Brad Anderson, Bob Harras and probably more. Paul brings together (for the very first time) the unofficial super-cousins of the Super-fan community, Dr Anj and Michael Bailey. How will they rate NEW KRYPTON? Tune in and find out! If you have thoughts, opinions, encouragement or issues, please feel free to contact us via waitingfordoom.com or at DCOCDCast@gmail.com and on twitter @DCOCDCast KEEP ON EVENTING!

February 15, 2010 - This week's Don't Miss book is the landmark 50th issue of Supergirl. One of the great things about comics can be the long history and deep continuity that characters develop. But that same continuity can also stand as a roadblock to new readers. Supergirl has been one of those characters in the past, but now Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle have turned the cousin of everyone's favorite Kryptonian into an accessible, interesting and ultimately entertaining character in the DC landscape. Gates and Igle join Chris Neseman for a conversation about the challenges and rewards of working on the Supergirl title. Listen in to hear about the "relay race" of the New Krypton event, Helen Slator and Jake Black's back-up story, and a great behind the scenes story about the Michael Turner cover for the 50th issue.

On this edition of The Word balloon podcast, a conversatio with thecreative team on Supergirl, Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle. They discussSupergirl, from the recent reveal that Lucy Lane is the new Superwoman,to the death of Zor-El, and the fallout from New Krypton. There'splenty of chracter dissections of Lana Lang, Allura Cat Grant and KaraZor-El herself, and their views on where all these strong women fit, inthis corner of the DC Superverse. Some quotes from the conversation...On Lucy Lane/Superwoman's role as Kara's new enemy. Gates: "I wanted a villain that can act as a Lex Luthor type...when New Krypton wastold to me, I thought it was a master stroke on Geoff (Johns)  andJames(Robinson's) part having General Lane be the main bad guy...whatgreat drama you get having Lois'sfamily be against the Superman family?...There's some more crazy stuff coming up with Superwoman."On the character designs for the leading women in the series.. Igle: When It comes to Supergirl the very first conversation I had with MattIdelson He said, 'I don't want to see Supergirl's panties again,' and Iagreed ...I think there should be a coy sexiness about her but I don'tthink it should be as overt as it's been drawn...it just didn't fit myimage of what a teenaged Supergirl is supposed to be...she's Superman'scousin, and should be, even by default, sort of a role model to younggirls..."(ForLana's Asian influenced outfits) My wife Corrine works in the fashionindustry for a company that does a lot of photo touch ups for Vouge,Cosmo, Louis Viton... so I get to see all these fashionmaterials... I was thinking more in terms of something a littleeclectic but business like...with Cat, it's all Victoria Secret andFredrick's of Holywood...the sluttiest dresses I can find (laughs)."Gates: "I guess that means write more Cat Grant scenes."On The Death of Zor El Gates: "Going in, Geoff and Ja
