"Living as modern humans we are disconnected, out of place and don't belong in the same way as other species""If you're feeling called to do something larger than you - you should follow that"SummaryTodays guest Elspeth Hay experienced a rewriting of all she had known when when one day she was grappling with the frustration that the area she calls home didn't have the ability to create more small scale, localised food systems because they were landlocked by the ocean and surrounded by established Oak forests. Until one day her belief and her story was challenged when she learned that we can eat acorns. From there stories she'd believed her whole life began to unravel. Not just about acorns but about the way humans have pattered ourselves to our current day reality. This process led her to write a book titled feed us with trees. The journey of the book creation took her on an ancestral tour from New England USA to the UK, introduced her to indigenous wisdom keepers, gave her the courage to challenge the system we know to be true and hold empathy for the courageous wisdom knowledge holders that have kept nature based skills and interaction alive.Elspeth is a is a wonderful story teller and with this skill alone I'm sure she is one of those humans who we need as the bridge to wherever it is we are headed."Our story is totally made up & doesn't follow any natural laws so we can look to other influences to rewrite it'Loved this? Everyone's analyzing win rates, but too few teams are asking the harder question: how did that opportunity even begin? This week on GTM Live, Trevor and Carolyn break down the most overlooked stage in go-to-market: what happens before a lead becomes a lead. They unpack why early-funnel signals (the ones that come before forms, meetings, or MQL scores) are where your growth strategy is made or broken. They explain why it's not enough to measure performance after the fact, and how traditional attribution misses the hidden work happening in the earliest phases of pipeline creation. Carolyn explains how early signal data is shaping a new standard for pipeline visibility, and Trevor shows how to connect that data to real decisions: budget, headcount, channels, and more.If your GTM reporting starts at the opportunity stage, you're already behind.Key topics in this episode:Why traditional approaches to attribution often tells a false storyWhy marketing and sales leaders need to rethink “first touch” and “last touch” measurementWhat happens when early-stage activity is left out of pipeline ROI modelsHow to expose the invisible work that actually drives revenueThe GTM gaps that surface when ops teams aren't tracking signalsThe early indicators that help you scale GTM programs with confidenceThis episode is powered by Passetto. In today's episode, I'm talking about extending grace without accepting behavior. It's a universal truth that everyone has a reason for their actions - there is ALWAYS a why behind a behavior. Even when we don't know the whole truth (and we may never), we can choose to extend more grace. My challenge for you is to look for that story that you might have missed. Even if you can't find it, please know that there IS a story you don't know completely. After all, grace doesn't cost us that much, so let's start extending more of it today! In this episode, I cover:The concept of "we don't know what we don't know" and choosing to give a little more graceUnderstanding that everyone has a reason for their actions and there's always more to the storyWhy extending grace does NOT mean that you accept or condone behaviorWhy grace matters and its vital connection to emotionsHow we can extend more grace to others Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! "The universe hates me."This was my conclusion when unexpected expenses kept smacking me in the face all through October. There was the appliance repair company ripping me off.The Assisted Living facility making a billing error — and then correcting it by pulling $13,000 out of my account with no warning. The Home Health company deciding out of nowhere that I owed them $1800, and I'd better pay up or they were sending me to collections. It felt like fighting a seven-nation army — and left me with no time for actually MAKING money.I had a niggle that told me to let some of it go.But because I grew up in a family that was all about hoarding and controlling money, that felt impossible. And it also felt like I was letting the bad guys win.Well.Then I dropped into a very deep money healing study that REALLY helped me rewrite some of those old stories and make new choices. And today I'm here to share that learning with you!In today's episode, we'll dig into ...How every money "problem" is actually an opportunity to release and rewrite an old storyWhy having a controlling relationship with money doesn't workSome of my own family money stories — and how I'm rewriting themThe spiritual Law of Release — and how it can help you have a healthier attitude toward moneyHow unconscious journeying (self-hypnosis) can deepen your money healing and provide insights you never dreamed. How healing your own money wounds heals your entire lineage.Resources Mentioned:Lauren of LoveHuman Design free assessmentWise Advocate/Higher Self MeditationSarah's InstagramSubscribe to Sarah's emailsFREE DOWNLOAD: Feel Better in 15 Self Coaching ToolkitTap into the power of the world's most transformative life coach: YOU!Click here and get everything you need to turn that bad day around.

"If you are not feeling alive, if you are feeling asleep, if you are feeling like you don't have access to intuition, to a deep sense of something more than your mind and your thoughts, chances are a detoxification is going to be essential. When your life force is drained, you're going to be more associated with your thoughts. But that's not you. Who are you underneath your narration of life?" - Josh Macin Parasite Cleanse "You have to build a foundation before you start slaying parasites in the system. It's one of the most common mistakes in the holistic health world: if you have parasites, you destroy them. When they die, they release toxic gases that make you very sick that also degrade the mucus membrane in the gut so it gives you a leaky gut. If you don't know how to navigate that and you just keep flooding the body with antiparasitics, you're going to cause cellular damage." - Josh Macin Belly = Reservoir of Energy "The belly is a primal reservoir of energy. Most people have disconnected from their belly. It is such a massive reservoir of energy and creative life force that it's part of health. It's part of being authentic. A lot of people's consciousness is resting in their heart, or in their throat, or in their mind. If you're always in your heart, you're going to get crushed by this world. The belly protects the heart." - Josh Macin Links From Today's Show The Detox Dudes - Use code "JOSH" for $500 off! 123 Aubrey Marcus – Own The Day 411 Gay Hendricks | The Genius Zone: The Breakthrough Process to End Negative Thinking and Live in True Creativity Josh Macin's Story Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt Nootopia Zamner Juice - 10% off with code "JOSH10" 223 Healthy Gut, Healthy You: Dr. Michael Ruscio Aquene Springs The Transformational Detoxification Masterclass 2023 345 Zach Bush MD: Humanity, Consciousness & COVID19 Dr. Samuel Sagan Shop the Wellness Force Media Store Organifi – Special 20% off to our listeners with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' breathwork.io SEED - Save 30% with the code "JOSHTRENT" Earth Runners - Save 10% with "JOSH10" Paleovalley – Save 15% on your ACV Complex with the code ‘JOSH' BON CHARGE - Save 15% with the code "JOSH15" MANNA Vitality - Save 20% with the code "JOSH20" Mendi.io - Save 20% with the code "JOSH20" SpectraSculpt - Save 15% with "JOSH15" SaunaSpace - 10% off using code "JOSH10" Cured Nutrition CBD - Save 20% with the CODE "WELLNESSFORCE" PLUNGE – Save $150 with the code “WELLNESSFORCE" LiftMode - Save 10% with the code "JOSH10" HVMN - Get 20% off your Ketone IQ order with the code "JOSH" MitoZen – Save 10% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” NOOTOPIA - Save 10% with the code "JOSH10" ActivationProducts – Save 20% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” NEUVANA - Save 15% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” SENSATE - Save $25 on your order with the code "JOSH25" DRY FARM WINES - Get an extra bottle of Pure Natural Wine with your order for just 1¢ ION - Save 15% off sitewide with the code ‘JOSH1KS' Feel Free from Botanic Tonics – Save 40% when you use the code ‘WELLNESS40′ Drink LMNT – Zero Sugar Hydration: Get your free LMNT Sample Pack, with any purchase BREATHE - Save 20% by using the code “PODCAST20” Essential Oil Wizardry: Save 10% with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' NEUROHACKER - Save 15% with the code "WELLNESSFORCE" ALIVE WATER - Save 33% on your first order with the code "JOSH33" M21 Wellness Guide Wellness + Wisdom Community Leave Wellness + Wisdom a review on Apple Podcasts Josh Macin Instagram Facebook YouTube About Josh Macin Josh Macin was the 2010 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and the 2012 Pan-American champion. Suddenly, in October of 2013, he began to experience debilitating panic attacks, suicidal despair, and gut-wrenching anxiety. After pharmaceutical drugs provided no relief, he found himself on a hero's journey – traveling to the corners of the earth and experimenting with some of the world's most powerful hallucinogens. When neither ayahuasca, float tanks, fasting, meditation, colon cleaning, nor yoga could provide him with relief he began to lose faith. In a surreal sequence of events that transpired three years after beginning the journey, he found out about heavy metal poisoning and started a comprehensive detoxification protocol. Now, alive and well to tell the tale, Josh has created TheDetoxDudes.com – a company devoted to helping people overcome toxicity.

Was the iconic Roy Lichtenstein a great artist, a thief, or both? This is the question posed by Whaam! Blam! Roy Lichtenstein and the Art of Appropriation, a documentary film directed and produced by today's podcast guest, James L Hussey.“When I set out to make [the film], I viewed it as a very straightforward, intellectual, technical film about appropriation,” says James, who released the film in November 2022. “When is it OK? When is it not OK? What surprised me and surprised audiences is that [it turned] into a human-interest story.” On today's podcast episode, host and NOT REAL ART founder Scott “Sourdough” Power sits down with James to discuss Whaam! Blam!, Lichtenstein's legacy, and the thin line between appropriation and plagiarism.A key figure in the Pop Art movement of the 1960s, Lichtenstein borrowed directly from comic books, advertisements, and historical art sources to create bold, graphic paintings. His recognizable works are housed in the world's finest galleries and can fetch upwards of $150 million a piece—but some see him as nothing more than a plagiarist. “[Whaam! Blam! raises] this question about appropriation and whether what Lichtenstein did was right or wrong,” James tells Scott. “Like so many things, it's not always black and white. There's a lot of gray.” Today, James shares stories from the last living comic artists Lichtenstein copied from, and why they're unhappy about it: “[The art world] very casually refers to the original comic art as ‘low art,' while almost an exact copy of it, blown up and hanging in the Tate Modern, is [considered] ‘high art,'” James says, explaining that some of these comics toiled in obscurity, below the poverty line. Tune in for our thought-provoking conversation with James L Hussey on plagiarism, appropriation, and giving artists credit where credit is due.Watch the trailer for Whaam! Blam! Katie O'mara is the driving force behind Trail Magik, an outdoor brand whose mission is to make hiking and backpacking with toddlers efficient and more enjoyable. Once kids grow out of their backpack-style carriers, parents are forced into deciding how far their little ones can hike before needing to be picked up, but oftentimes riding in a backpack is too much trouble because all the toddler really needs is a small break from walking. That's where Trail Magik comes in.Katie and her husband developed a lightweight and simple solution to giving toddlers a break from the trail by designing an adaptable kid carrier that attaches to any normal backpack. It allows a child to be carried on the front rather than the back and can be easily stowed away when not used.As a parent with kids who have outgrown their larger carrier, I found myself looking for the solution that Trail Magik offers and after a bit of research, purchased one. I then reached out directly to Katie to see if she'd be willing to come on the show to talk about what they have going on and she kindly said she would.Katie is the best. She has a heart of gold and sincerely cares about her community. From the struggles of owning a small business to the ups and downs of being an outdoor family, we cover all of it in this episode and I came away from our conversation feeling inspired and encouraged. For those out there with young families trying to figure this whole thing out, I think this episode will be a bright spot in your day. It's conversations like this one that keep me going and I'm glad that people like Katie are out there encouraging others to be adventurous with their families. If you're interested in picking up a carrier of your own or for someone else, you can use the code BYLAND to save 10% off at www.trailmagik.com.Show NotesIntroductionsThe Trail Magik origin storyWhy the carrier works for walking toddlersEntrepreneurial lifeLearning to get outdoors with kidsPreparing for new outdoor adventuresWhat it's like putting a product into the worldThe importance of being yourselfFeeling the pressure to adventureDo what you WANT to do out thereDefining an “outdoor” familyGrowing up in the outdoorsWhy parents feel the pull to bring their kids outsideCreating an outdoor lifestyleBiggest barriers for parents and kids in the outdoorsLearning to enjoy the hiking parts of backpackingKatie's closing thoughtsHow to followup with Katie and Trail MagikLinkswww.trailmagik.comClick Here for 10% off ( or use code: BYLAND at checkout)InstagramYouTubeBy Land LinksLEARN HOW TO BACKPACK: https://courses.byland.co/learnhowtobackpackYOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChSSISEgIfwYz2cc0aHQj3gJOIN A FACEBOOK GROUP: https://byland.co/facebook-groupsINSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/emory_by_landLEAVE A TIP: https://byland.co/donate
This week's guest is Amy Lea, astrologer, human design guide, energy practitioner and business mentor. After a “health crisis” in 2012, where she found out she had an autoimmune condition that “turned her world upside down”, she became really interested in energetics and spirituality but never in a million years did she think she would end up working in this. She continued on her traditional career path for a long time but would experience cycles of intense burnout. Astrology was something she started doing for fun and pleasure, but one thing led to another and she is now fully committed to teaching both astrology and human design and helping business owners take off and “be in their power”. Amy explains that “awareness is everything” so when helping out her clients she always considers the “background frequency” that is going on as one does life because this is not always aligned with our truth and we must not let the outside transits take away our inner authority and our ability to make “sovereign empowered decisions”. For her, another key process is making sure you get out of your mind and into your body by tapping into the “heart-body coherence”, so that the mind can “step into the back seat, not be driving and dictating the show”, which is so important to begin any healing journey.HIGHLIGHTSAmy's storyWhy can't I keep up?Understanding your profileThe cyclesTransitsBiggest challengesSomatic modalitiesLearning to be presentEnergy fieldA portal of timeNew energy systemABOUT AMYAmy combines her knowledge and training in human design, astrology and energy science with her 10+ years of experience working in traditional business to help business owners, creatives and CEOs remember who they are, connect with their purpose and unique gifts, and create a life that is aligned and enriching.
