Have you considered that anywhere up to 99% of your wedding photos will feature your gorgeous face?So while your venue choice is important and your outfit and flowers can add real impact, if your hair and makeup are important to you, it's time to make it a priority. Gaetana Marjas is an experienced, trusted and sought-after hair and makeup artist based in Adelaide South Australia and today she is delivering a must-listen wedding makeup masterclass just for you. In part 1 (part 2 will be released next week) you'll learn: her recommended timing for skin care treatments leading up to your wedding, how to address your specific skin-type concerns, common mistakes that people make with their wedding makeup, andwhy, if it's possible, she recommends you do a makeup trial. It's also important for me to let you know that Gaetana's advice is subjective and relates to her ability to do her job to the best of her ability. So when she mentions lash extensions this week and dupe products next week, for example, it's her opinion and there is no hate on anyone who thinks or operates their business differently. Gaetana is not interested in creating clickbait controversy or ruffling anyone's feathers. And from a safety perspective, here in Australia at least and if you reside somewhere else, please do your research, only medical doctors, dentists and nurses, with appropriate training/qualifications, are permitted to administer injectable treatments. So if you are considering undertaking injectable treatments Gaetana implores you to please seek qualified, professional and independent advice before you make your final decision. Welcome to a new episode of Happy Business Radio your host Peter Salerno introduces his special guest, Ron Fiddler, who is the founder and managing partner of Podcast City and Podcast City Radio. Peter expresses his appreciation for being friends with Ron and his wife Karen for a while. Ron is then surprised to be on the other side of the conversation as he is usually producing Peter's show. Ron is a Podcast coach and producer, podcast and radio host who has a very interesting background Peter expresses that the more they get to know Ron, the more they want to learn about him. Ron reveals that when he was a young boy, he aspired to be like his father who was a chef in the Australian defence force army. He eventually achieved his dream and became a chef, working for Spotless Services. He started off as a kitchen hand and worked his way up to an apprentice and then to a chef. Ron had a passion for cooking and wanted to pursue it, so he moved overseas to pursue his dreams. Ron is a chef who followed in his father's footsteps, working as a chef for 15 years and working in colleges across Queensland. He then had an opportunity to work with coalition forces in the Middle East, cooking for 5000-8000 people a day at different camps in Iraq and Afghanistan. He got to cook for high-profile people such as President George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton and Donald Rumsfeld. It was an amazing experience for him and he was lucky to be in the safe green zone, though he was always aware of the servicemen and women who put themselves in danger. Ron talks about his experiences of being overseas in a war zone and that he did it for the money, after coming back from the Middle East, Ron got into Real Estate as a Real Estate sales agent before starting his own consultancy, business and support agency. There's only been in the last three years that Ron has decided to turn to a passion. He loves Radio and podcasting and started his own podcasting studio and radio station in Adelaide South Australia. Peter and Ron talk about how most people find themselves in a better place after leaving a difficult situation. People should not stay in a rut and life is too short to be miserable. He learned from the people he encountered in Iraq, even though they had so little, they were still happy. He encourages listeners not to stay in a difficult situation and to find a better place. DECADES-OLD MYSTERY OF SOMERTON MAN SOLVED - A TRUE CRIME AND COKE QUICKIE The Tamám Shud case, also known as the Mystery of the Somerton Man, is a partially solved case of an unidentified man found dead on 1 December 1948 on The Somerton Park beach, just south of Adelaide South Australia. The case is named after the Persian phrase tamám shud, meaning "is over" or "is finished", which was printed on a scrap of paper found months later in the fob pocket of the man's trousers. The scrap had been torn from the final page of a copy of Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, authored by 12th century poet Omar Khayyam Tamám was misspelt as Tamán in many early reports, and this error has often been repeated, leading to confusion about the name in the media. Following a public appeal by police, the book from which the page had been torn was located. On the inside back cover, detectives read through indentations left from previous handwriting – a local telephone number, another unidentified number, and text that resembled a coded message. The text has not been deciphered or interpreted in a way that satisfies authorities on the case. The case has been considered, since the early stages of the police investigation, "one of Australia's most profound mysteries". There has been intense speculation ever since regarding the identity of the victim, the cause of his death, and the events leading up to it. Public interest in the case remains significant for several reasons: the death occurred at a time of heightened international tensions following the beginning of the Cold War; the apparent involvement of a secret code; the possible use of an undetectable poison; and the inability of authorities to identify the dead man. In addition to intense public interest in Australia during the late 1940s and early 1950s, the case also attracted international attention. South Australia Police consulted their counterparts overseas and distributed information about the dead man internationally, in an effort to identify him. International circulation of a photograph of the man and details of his fingerprints yielded no positive identification. For example, in the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was unable to match the dead man's fingerprint with prints taken from files of domestic criminals. Scotland Yard was also asked to assist with the case, but could not offer any insights. In recent years, additional evidence has emerged, including an old identification card possibly identifying the Somerton Man as one H. C. Reynolds and an ongoing DNA analysis of hair roots found on the plaster bust. On 19 May 2021, after a series of requests, the body was exhumed for analysis. Police stated that the remains were in "reasonable" condition and were optimistic about the prospect of DNA recovery. On 26 July 2022, Adelaide University professor Derek Abbott claimed that DNA evidence from hair samples removed from his death mask had proven the man to be Carl "Charles" Webb, born on November 16, 1905, in Footscray, in Melbourne, to Richard August Webb and Eliza Amelia Morris Grace; however, SA Police have not yet verified this claim. In early 2002, Barrick Gold decides to merge with another company, Homestake Mining, to create one of the largest Gold companies in the world. A young French Canadian geologist (do not hold that against him) working for Barrick in Nevada is asked to pack his bags and move to Australia, to take up a vacant Chief Geologist position for this combined company. At the same time, a young Australian geologist from Adelaide South Australia (do not hold that against him) was working for Homestake and is asked to take over the Australian Exploration Manager role for the new company. Both men were taking on new management roles, a huge step up for both of them. That's how Francois Robert and Rob Krcmarov first meet. This episode is about 2 people with different skillsets who decided to work together by creating a relationship of mutual respect and trust. Let's explore.

It's best known as the home of iconic wineries such as Penfolds and Seppelt, but there's so much more to South Australia's capital, Adelaide than its wineries (or its churches!) Our local, for this episode of ExtraVirgin Food & Travel's "Postcard" is food and travel writer Amanda McInerney, who shares with us her favourite festivals, walks, restaurants, markets, cultural events and, yes wineries, as well as some great insider tips (caviar and vodka trolley anyone?) If you're planning on visiting this beautiful city, you'll want to take notes - because you couldn't get a more knowledgeable or generous virtual guide than Amanda. But even if you're just armchair travelling, sit back and enjoy this Postcard from Adelaide.

I was born in Adelaide South Australia, a House Painter for over 30 years. I am now 65 years, and a Retired Pensioner, who resides in Queensland. I have had over 30 years Spiritual War on behalf of The Lord Jesus. On the 5 th June 1989, I laid down my Life for the Lord, and went to hell for 1 night. I felt burning with a hot needle to the bone in every pore of my skin, for 6 months, Night and Day, after that Night. 5 Years later after this event, I received the writings. The Horse on the cover of this book, represents the Lords Horse when he returns. I AM WORKING FOR THE LORD, NOT MYSELF…

Craig Lauritsen“I've been a professional musician for more than thirty years and my obsession with cymbal sounds began soon afterwards. Some time ago I began a quest to find the ‘perfect' cymbal and this passion led to countless hours searching for as much information as I could about all aspects of cymbal creation. Part of my study included getting my hands on many hundreds of cymbals from almost all of the major manufacturers and many independent cymbalsmiths. I studied cymbal weights, profiles, tapers, hammering and lathing techniques, chemical composition, sonic characteristics etc. I also travelled to many different countries, seeking out cymbal makers and master cymbalsmiths. I applied this knowledge to perform my own hammering, lathing and surface treatment techniques to existing cymbals, all in the desire to create more musical pieces of bronze. I've always been attracted to pursuits which reflect subtle differences which can only be attributed to individual input or unquantifiable differences between other factors. For example, I love cooking, coffee, red wine, art, film, literature etc. Cymbal Smithing is certainly one of those pursuits, a craft where the individual imparts something unique into the final product.”http://www.cymbalutopia.com/www.cymbalutopia.com/Craig_Lauritsen_Custom_Cymbals.htmlCraig's websitehttp://www.cymbalutopia.com/The Tracker - Movie Soundtrack Craig played on discussed during the podcast interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NgtXF21BmASome of the topics we covered:Creating and managing a creative business including managing timeImportance of the connection with a mentor and how that relationship can work to benefit everyoneProblem solving within the creative businessTaking risks!….. and much much more about being a creative person and creating an international creative business from a home workshop in Adelaide South Australia.“Craig is that quiet achiever he works hard, thinks entrepreneurial and is true to his passion and core values. Controversy has struck the Australian Open, as well over 50 players are affected by positive tests on their charter flights to Australia, resulting in mandated 14-day quarantines in their hotel rooms. Warring perspectives have emerged; some taking the side of disgruntled players and others defending Tennis Australia and the Victorian government, while chiding players for their attitudes. I argue for both sides. The debacle has also exposed the communication issues that exist in tennis. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Serena Williams, Naoimi Osaka and Simona Halep are quarantining in Adelaide (South Australia), clearly benefitting from favorable conditions. In the DB4 Tennis Stat of the Week, a fascinating WTA trend has emerged at Slams over the last five years. Finally, I react to Hubert Hurkacz's triumph at Delray Beach, and Australian Open qualifiers, including Carlos Alcaraz and Bernard Tomic.
Six of the top tennis players in the world, including Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, have arrived in Adelaide (South Australia) to begin preparations for the 2021 Australian Open. Meanwhile, controversy builds in Melbourne, where well over 50 players are being forced to quarantine for 14 days after coronavirus cases were detected on multiple charter flights to Australia. The small elite group in Adelaide avoided that risk, and stand to benefit from increased training time and larger entourages. Gill, Joel and Amy discuss on Ep. 24 of Three, the first under the Tennis Channel Podcast Network. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The piece seeks to capture the feelings of walking a tightrope between the joys of aloneness and the sorrows of loneliness in an interregnum. Perhaps imagination fueled by desire offers the way through. Desire is my compass, the body my GPS, warm data my gyroscope. I acknowledge the Kaurna meyunna traditional custodians of the lands now referred to as Adelaide that inspired and where this piece was written. I pay respects to their elders, past, present and emerging." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Created during a time of quarantine in the global Coronavirus pandemic, A Moment Of Your Time's mission is to provide a space for expression, collaboration, community and solidarity. After just having had a baby, being told that you have post-partum thyroiditis is not fun at all. You'd much rather put all your energy into your cute little bundle. Potentially, many mothers don't feel themselves, and unknowingly struggle with symptoms of post-partum thyroiditis because they don't know of it to ask for diagnosis and help. This episode will help to provide tools to those who have been told they have this condition, and information for any mothers that may suspect something is 'just not right'. I interview nutritionist Renae Bartlett who has experienced post partum thyroiditis herself and has made it her mission to help other mothers through this journey as well. You can contact me on www.naturopathnsw.com.au About Renae: Renae Bartlett is a Clinical Nutritionist who until 12 months ago, was based in Adelaide South Australia. She is currently residing in Canada for the next two years with her husband, one year old daughter and their dog Diego. Renae assists people by focussing heavily on the fundamental basics of using ‘food first’ for healing, health and wellbeing. Renae was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in 2016 and Post-Partum Thyroiditis following the birth of their daughter in 2018. This has led Renae down a path focussed on helping women who may have been diagnosed with post-partum thyroiditis, or who are at risk of developing this condition. Meet Arabella Hooper. This is what happens when focus and discipline meets an organized plan! There's a saying that goes; if you want to get something done, give the job to a busy person, and if you're into extreme productivity, getting results and squeezing a little more out of each day, I think you're going to love this interview. My guest today is a 16 year veteran and this is the first year she nominated to be listed in REB's Top 100 agents in Australia. She's also a mother of four young children so I'm thinking the only way she can achieve such impressive results is because she's organized with industry-best systems. Her entry into the list of elite top earners is due to pure numbers in terms of listings and sales. She's not selling $5 million dollar homes in Sydney or Melbourne, she based in the beautiful hills district just outside Adelaide South Australia. And for my listeners not familiar with the Adelaide Hills, we're talking about some of the most beautiful country on earth. Lush green rolling hills, horse studs, hobby farms, larger commercial agricultural operations and home to some of the most successful and award-winning wine companies in Australia and the world. Arabella Hooper is a team member at Harris Real Estate. As you'll hear in a moment, there's little time for indecision and time-wasting in her world. Listen out for her strategy on working with unmotivated sellers and how she's learned about the damage they can do to your productivity and your business. And we get into the weeds on some very relevant ideas that will help you lift your results. Meet Arabella
