This week I'm talking to Richard Lang about his book 'UAP Incidents First Responders Guide: POLICE - EMS - FD' UFO/UAP Enigma Is Real - Now more than ever it is becoming clear to the general public that UFO/UAP enigma is real. After years of secrecy the truth is finally coming out about vehicles of non-human origin that have visited here, some that have crashed here, and non-human entities both dead and alive that have been recovered. UAP Incident Preparedness for First Responders - Just as officers were once trained in hazardous materials recognition and counterterrorism preparedness, UAP Incident Preparedness will hopefully become a necessary component of public safety operations and training. Law enforcement officers are uniquely vulnerable to UAP encounters due to the isolated and unpredictable nature of patrol work. Therefore, it stands to reason that sheriff's offices, police departments, fire departments and EMS rescue squads would now want their people properly trained to understand this phenomenon, to at least know a little bit about the history of it and most importantly from a personal safety perspective, know what to do and not do if they ever encounter such a situation. Bio Ufologist - Researcher - Investigator - Author - Speaker Richard Lang was an FAA Licensed Commercial Pilot with an Instrument, Multi Engine Rating for over thirty years. He has a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Studies and an Associate's Degree in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Mr. Lang enjoyed a successful career for more than 20 years in the corporate banking world as a Senior Vice President working in Brokerage and the Trust Investment Division of Commercial Banks, which afforded him personal time off and sufficient income to explore a lifelong interest in UFO/UAP research. MUFON STAR TEAM While employed in the corporate banking world during the 1990s, Richard joined the UFO organization known as MUFON and was certified as a Field Investigator; he eventually was appointed as Chief Investigator for MUFON in both Virginia and North Carolina. He was one of the original six members of the elite MUFON STAR team where he functioned as coordinator and the first manager of the team. Virginia Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Richard attained registration as a Private Investigator and Personal Protection Specialist with DCJS in 2000 and he worked part time for a private investigation firm in Charlottesville doing surveillance and investigation. In 2002, Lang graduated from the Police Academy and certified as a sworn law enforcement officer in Virginia as a Reserve Deputy for the Albemarle County Sheriff's Office, primarily providing volunteer community service on weekends and evenings which he really enjoyed. During this time, he received certification from the Virginia Department of Emergency Services as a Search-Rescue Field Team Leader and was certified as a Weapons of Mass Destruction Responder from the US Department of Justice. Federal Law Enforcement In the post 911 period Mr. Lang left his banking career to serve as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) at the rank of Sergeant in Virginia airports. He was sworn both on the federal level as Special Deputy for the U.S. Marshals Service and on the state level as a Deputy Sheriff for the County Sheriff's Office. During this time the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was initially created as Congress had mandated extremely high levels of security for USA Airports. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) After serving for approximately a year as a LEO Richard was hired by Homeland Security and assigned to TSA as a Federal Liaison for airport stakeholders responsible for implementing federal procedures and dealing with regulatory initiatives associated with aviation security. This also included responsibility for airlines and airport authorities as well as all law enforcement agencies in Virginia that respond to airports during aviation emergencies. He was a member of the Anti-Terrorist Advisory Council Board (organized by the U.S. Attorney's Office) where he frequently served as key speaker on terrorism at quarterly regional meeting hosted by Homeland Security. http://www.langpublication.com/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GNMK85XR https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/ https://www.patreon.com/alienufopodcast https://simonbown.com/ My new book, Aspects of Alien Abduction https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GRRPCT9Y Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. At least five Native American men were detained January by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during raids in Minneapolis, Minn. As other reports of Native Americans being mistaken for undocumented immigrants continue, federal lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan bill to improve the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)'s interactions with Native Americans when they are proving citizenship. KUNM's Jeanette DeDios (Jicarilla Apache and Diné) has more. The Respect Tribal IDs Act would require DHS working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and tribal nations to create training for officers to better detect and respect current tribal IDs. U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) says ICE agents are breaking the law. “My Native American brothers and sisters, who are American citizens, are being held by ICE agents because these agents do not recognize tribal IDs, it’s disrespectful, it’s wrong, I would argue, illegal, and that’s why we need this legislation.” Luján says tribal leaders have voiced their concerns about ICE agents detaining their tribal members near their reservations. “I’ll remind you that some of the first awareness that we had about ICE agents going after Native American communities, happened in New Mexico, down in Mescalero and also on the Navajo Nation, and it’s happening in other parts of the country as well.” DHS said in a statement that ICE agents acknowledge and recognize tribal ID cards as proof of citizenship and there have been no ICE operations on tribal lands. Lujan says it is hard to collect data on the number of Native Americans who have been detained by ICE because DHS will not release the data. Meanwhile, some legal scholars are raising concerns about a case brought by the Trump administration that is before the Supreme Court and how it might undermine birthright citizenship among Native Americans. (Courtesy Data for Indigenous Justice) A national organization called the Courage Project shines a light on acts of bravery, both big and small. This year, a group that works to bring attention to Alaska's missing and murdered Indigenous people (MMIP) is in the spotlight. As KNBA's Rhonda McBride tells us, Data for Indigenous Justice (DIJ) is one of sixteen organizations nationwide to receive this award. The steady beat of the drum is what you hear at many events involving DIJ and while their presence is felt more than seen, they are a force for change. Funders for the Courage Project like the MacArthur Foundation say the award was created to recognize neighbors helping neighbors, people who perform everyday acts of civic courage, that speak to the American spirit and strengthen democracy. “When I first started doing this work, people wouldn’t even meet with me.” Charlene Apok, known by her Iñupiaq name, Aqpik, founded DIJ to bring attention to missing and murdered Alaska Natives. She saw breakdowns and inequities in how law enforcement handled their investigations and pushed for a database to better track those cases and expose systemic failures. “Organizations didn’t want to talk about it. It was too hot. It was too political. It was too uncomfortable. It shouldn’t be courageous to say the things that we’re saying, and to ask the questions that we’re asking. These should be things that are expected for the safety of our people.” Doug Modig, a traditional healer, says it is never easy to speak truth to power, especially for a small organization like Data for Indigenous Justice. “Real lives are at stake her. Real people are experiencing hurt. There aren't many people that have that courage, because it's so rare. It reminds me of a wolverine. They'll take on a bear, a full-grown bear.” Wolverines, Modig says, are fearless when it comes to protecting their territory. “Why don't they just give up? They're not going to make it, because they're so small. But the truth is, courage isn't about size. It's the content of your heart.” Aqpik says heart is exactly what her team brings to their work. Their commitment has helped to uncover critical information about unsolved cases. “I’ve come to learn, with a lot of guidance from my elders, that this role is called being a story keeper.” Aqpik says it is a sacred responsibility to listen to the stories that families share. She says they are the bravest of all. Long after the marches are over and the drumbeats fade, they must live with these stories. Get National Native News delivered to your inbox daily.  JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR THIS WEEK'S PODCAST @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today May 1!CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES, TURN & FACE THE STRANGE CH-CH-CHANGES We know all Full Moons are when the Moon casts the light of the Sun directly back onto itself, thus revealing to the Sun its archetypal shadow side. In this case, today's May 1 Scorpio Full Moon, which occurs when the 11'21” Scorpio Moon exact opposes the 11'21” Taurus Sun at 10:23 am PT & 1:23 pm ET on May 1, we're being advised to let go of Taurus's archetypal shadows. And those revolve around our tendency to stay stuck in the past, as the Venus-ruled Taurus's shadow is known to be its stubborn resistance to change, & its attachment to its creature comforts—especially related to its value of physical & material resources. However, let's remember first that this Scorpio Full Moon is part of this month's longer lunar cycle which began with the Aries New Moon on April 17. And that at that time both the Moon & Sun were conjoined in Aries with wounded healer Chiron & dwarf planet of chaos, strife, & discord, Eris. This told us that our monthly mission was to plant seeds that lead to healing our wounded Aries energy. This podcast touches on how a wounded Mars-ruled Aries shadow is that it looks a lot like Libra archetypal energy: Indecisive &/or passive aggressive. This has clearly played out in American politics given the fact that by the first quarter lunar square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun on April 23--just after the Venus/Uranus conjunction at 29'59” Taurus—Congress was still in limbo concerning funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS.)No surprise then, that as we approached this Scorpio Full Moon, the House finally let go of its stubborn resistance & passed the Senate's March version of this funding bill—which excludes funding ICE & CBP—on April 30. It was the stubbornness of both sides of the aisle that left TSA, FEMA, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Secret Service, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) unfunded for 76 days since February 14. Perhaps it's no coincidence that Saturn had reentered Mars-ruled Aries February 13, indicating the kind of “banging one's head against the wall” frustration felt by both Congressional Democrats & Republicans since. Now the GOP majority-ruled Congress still has to take up a separate reconciliation bill to pass any funding for ICE & CBP, which Democrats vehemently oppose without some major changes to those agencies. This is one example of the Scorpio Full Moon's waxing influence on moving the nation out of limbo and into some kind of motivated action--the wound highlighted at the Aries New Moon conjunct Chiron & Eris. However, we've still got a long way to go when it comes to the U.S./Israeli waged war on Iran, as Congress continues to waffle on passing the War Powers Resolution Act codifying President Trump's ability to wage war without Congressional consent. This Act, passed in 1973 as a direct result of then President Richard Nixon's U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War without congressional approval—& despite many Americans' opposition—illustrates the resistance of this Administration to adhering to both past law & the will of the people.SUPREME COURT GUTS VOTING RIGHTS ACT, RETURNING US TO VALUES OF THE PAST But first, America has an even bigger internal problem that's related to its elections. On April 29, the Supreme Court took a step backward leaving us stuck in values of the past (Taurus Sun) that have already been proven not only unfair but that also position the U.S. even more firmly against the natural evolutionary process (Scorpio Moon.)And the latter is exactly what this Scorpio Full Moon is trying to tell us: That resisting change—by returning us to the values of the past such as the days of Jim Crow—is directly anathema to adapting to society's more evolved values now.The negative side of Taurus doesn't like change because it values its creature comforts. This archetype sees no benefit in changing its current way of life—where the American population is majority white—to accept adapting to the evolutionary trajectory it's on now given the more recent changes in population statistics. This podcast explores how the U.S. Census Bureau—between 2010 & now—has changed its definition of “white” & thus relegated a shift in categorizing more of the Hispanic & Latino population as “non-white.”A large part of what this Scorpio Full Moon is trying to tell us here—given that the Supreme Court has now struck down any state electoral maps that insure that black & minority majority districts have fair representation—is that this impedes U.S. adaptation to Pluto-ruled Scorpio's desire for change.PLUTO'S STATION RETROGRADE MAY 6 DREDGES UP ESSENTIAL TRUTHS THAT PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE SOULPluto's retrograde station occurs at 5'31” Aquarius on May 6 when the god of the underworld will plumb the depths of our subconscious from then until he's once again direct at 3'04” Aquarius on October 15.Pluto transits make it impossible not to be honest, as Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan explains in her book “Planetary Retrogrades, Traversing the Inner Landscape.” It's there she notes that “Plutonian veracity has little to do with day-to-day honesty, but deals only with essential truth, life & death matters, the kind of truth that preserves the integrity of the soul. “It is part of the contract with Pluto, it seems” Sullivan continues, “that if one faces oneself willingly & unflinchingly, the reward is an unshakable integrity.“When Pluto undergoes its retrograde cycles”—particularly if it repeats its contact with a natal planet or angle—“it dredges deeper & deeper into the resources of the unconscious, bringing to light the most secluded aspects of one's inner nature. “The process of loosening firmly entrenched & potentially annihilating characteristics in the depth of the psyche is active primarily during the retrograde period,” says Sullivan. It's in the “rest phase of the transit [that] we relax the hold on the repressive function & allow transformation to occur,” she explains. When Pluto's retrograde is part of a transit to a specific point in the natal chart, “poisonous aspects of oneself gather together silently & secretly, to emerge for elimination at the direct cycles,” she concludes. That makes this next six month period the perfect time to take Sullivan's advice as the U.S. undergoes the longer-term evolutionary changes inherent in the already triggered U.S. Pluto return.PLUTO RETROGRADE PLUS URANUS NOW IN GEMINI UNTIL 2033: RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IS FUTILEWhat's become clear now at this Scorpio Full Moon lunation, which is the apex of the Aries New Moon monthly cycle begun on April 17, is that there can be no indecisiveness when it comes to the evolutionary process of adaptation to long-term change. This podcast quotes astrologer Lynn Bell's OPA article titled “The Wake Up Call” which describes the longer term potential for change given Uranus's recent reentrance into Gemini from April 25 until 2033.Given the recent Supreme Court mandated shift in policy related to U.S. voting rights, it seems clear that what we need to wake up to now is how we must fight the overturning & denial of changes made by this nation since its inception. Uranus (change) in Gemini—which represents “siblings” & local neighborhood & community environment, among other things--has already brought sudden change to our local areas through the Trump Administration's harsh racist tactics designed to purge this nation of those it deems “foreigners.” Many of whom are our family members, neighbors, employees, & coworkers. This is on top of the fact that the Supreme Court already ruled that women are not equal to men in terms of bodily autonomy in its infamous Dobbs decision four years ago already since June 24, 2022. This thus returned us to the misogyny of the original Constitution's “all men”—but not all women—are created equal, in clear disregard for society's gladly accepted changed values since.Meanwhile, Pluto's shorter retrograde in Aquarius now until October asks us to explore the deeper more unconscious nature of topics like prejudice in this country—including racism against anyone who's not white, male, or Christian, at least the way things are going now…Together, they ask us to awaken to the sad truth that the U.S.—rather than evolving in a forward thinking, all inclusive, progressively humanitarian direction--prefers to keep in power those wedded to America's racist, misogynist, & gender discriminatory past. We're already seeing glimmers of the answer to questions like: “How's that been workin' for you so far?” through the current policies of an Administration that takes us to war for inexplicable reasons & that ignores its negative impact on the daily decline in health & well-being of its own citizens.Resistance to this may well awaken another Uranus in Gemini historical association, which is to that of war. As American states become increasingly gerrymandered now due to this week's Supreme Court decision--as is already happening in places like Louisiana & Florida--the pending political, ethical, & moral split in values will become increasingly obvious. The upshot is the message that it's now up to us. Meaning the people who--when we work together in groups exhibit much greater power than those who currently hold those reigns—can achieve the kind of evolutionary progress the heavenly bodies are waking us up to now...Join us for more Astro News You Can Use on all this & more today at https://www.karmicevoluti

DHS Shutdown & Democratic Opposition An extended shutdown continues of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), leaving approximately 200,000 employees unpaid. Attributes the shutdown to Democratic refusal to fund DHS due to opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Republican Strategy on DHS Funding Explains that ICE and Customs & Border Protection (CBP) were pre‑funded through a prior reconciliation bill, insulating them from the shutdown. Criticizes short‑term funding approaches and argues Democrats will not support ICE funding in the foreseeable future. Use of Budget Reconciliation Advocates using budget reconciliation to bypass the Senate filibuster and pass funding with a simple majority. Proposes funding ICE and CBP for the maximum allowable 10 years rather than shorter-term extensions. Proposed Offensive Policy Approach Argues that Democratic obstruction should result in increased ICE funding (e.g., a 10% increase) rather than status‑quo responses. Frames this as both a policy and political countermeasure. Broader Conservative Legislative Agenda Calls for leveraging reconciliation to advance multiple conservative priorities before potential Republican losses in upcoming elections. Examples include: Preventing future shutdowns of critical services (air traffic control, TSA). Indexing capital gains taxes to inflation to reduce “phantom gains.” Expanding school choice and tax‑advantaged family policies. Economic & Housing Policy Rationale Explains how inflation‑indexed capital gains could increase housing supply by discouraging long-term holding solely for tax avoidance. Links tax reform to affordability and economic growth concerns. Election Integrity Measures Supports incorporating election integrity provisions into reconciliation where budget rules allow. Suggests conditioning federal election funding on compliance with integrity standards. Urgency & Historical Warning Draws comparisons to missed legislative opportunities in past Republican majorities. Argues reconciliation represents the last realistic chance to enact significant conservative legislation before expected political gridlock. Strategic “Tentpole” Concept Describes ICE and border security as unifying issues capable of holding a broad Republican coalition together. Warns that narrower or fragmented legislative efforts are likely to fail. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. 1. Core Allegations Against Eric Swalwell Multiple women (at least four) have accused Congressman Eric Swalwell of sexual misconduct, ranging from inappropriate contact and explicit messages to sexual assault and rape. One allegation reportedly involves a 2024 incident in New York, which the document says is under prosecutorial review. Swalwell is described as denying the most serious allegations while admitting to “mistakes in judgment” and resigning from Congress to avoid being a distraction. 2. Alleged Political Cover-Up by Democrats Democratic leadership allegedly knew about Swalwell’s behavior for years or decades and actively protected him. The party only abandoned Swalwell once he became a political liability, particularly due to concerns about California gubernatorial politics. His removal is framed as strategic damage control, not a moral reckoning. 3. Ongoing Investigations House Ethics Committee – Alleged misconduct involving a staffer. Manhattan District Attorney – Review of a 2024 sexual assault allegation. California Local Prosecutors – Reviewing possible criminal conduct. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – Investigating alleged visa violations involving a nanny. 4. Nanny / Campaign Finance Controversy Separate from misconduct allegations, Swalwell is accused of: Employing a nanny after her visa allegedly expired. Paying her improperly or “under the table.” Using campaign funds for personal childcare expenses. These claims originated from a complaint filed by a controversial figure, raising credibility concerns. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. Topics Highlighted: The impact of Virginia's gerrymandering on midterm elections. Currently, Virginia's Congressional balance includes 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans. If Democrats prevail on April 21's special election, the slim House Republican majority may very well collapse in November 2026. In fact, The Washington Post's Editorial Board (February 6, 2026) expressed serious concerns: "The self-styled democracy party isn't behaving democratically. Democrats in Richmond are trying to effectively disenfranchise millions of Virginians by redrawing congressional maps to give themselves 10 of the commonwealth's 11 House seats — giving Democrats control of 91 percent of House seats in a state where Republicans lost the last presidential election by just six points." How America's sanctuary cities and states place Americans in danger with soaring crime rates fueled by illegal immigrants. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that illegal immigrants were responsible for 75% of murders in Fairfax County so far in 2026. US - Israel strikes in Iran and the future of the Middle East and beyond. Red states versus blue states: Jobs, education, security and economic growth. Brief bio: When in Congress, Tom Garrett would be known to state: “I represent the fifth Congressional District of Virginia where the first representative elected to serving Congress was a man named James Madison who drafted the Constitution of the United States and where our third president Thomas Jefferson lived when he drafted the following words. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Tom Garrett serves in the Virginia House of Delegates representing the great people of the 56th District. Delegate Tom Garrett earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. After the University of Richmond, Tom Garrett became an artillery officer in the United States Army. Achieving the rank of Captain, Tom led soldiers overseas—most notably while deployed in Bosnia. Upon returning to the States, Tom earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond and quickly became an Assistant Attorney General for Virginia. Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger has faced significant backlash for her perceived silence and lack of accountability regarding a string of violent crimes in Northern Virginia, most notably the brutal stabbing of Stephanie Minter at a Fairfax County bus stop in late February 2026. While critics from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE have lambasted the governor for "protecting a murderer" by requiring a signed judicial warrant before cooperating with federal immigration detainers, Spanberger has largely dodged direct questions on the matter. Rather than addressing the specific failures in the case of suspect Abdul Jalloh, who had over 30 prior arrests, the Governor has shifted blame toward the federal government's past failure to deport the individual and defended her executive order rolling back state-level cooperation with ICE. This "no response" or deflective stance has intensified as new cases emerge, including a recent machete stabbing and a controversial "sweetheart" plea deal for two other murder suspects, further fueling accusations that her sanctuary-leaning policies are compromising public safety.

And the United Kingdom is hosting a virtual meeting of around 40 countries to discuss options for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The United States is not due to attend. An end to the longest Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown in history is on the horizon. Trump and congressional GOP leaders have rallied behind a two-pronged approach to bypass Senate Democrats on immigration funding. Lawmakers will fund the DHS through regular order, but remove funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection. Those will be handled in a second party-line bill using a budget process that will allow passage without support from Democrats.

Early Friday morning, the Senate passed a bill that would fund most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for fiscal year 2026, excluding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and some parts of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Later that day, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he would not bring the bill to a vote. The House instead passed a separate bill that would fund DHS in its entirety for eight weeks. Both the House and the Senate have begun a two-week Easter recess, and neither bill is expected to be considered during that time. In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, House Republicans passed a short-term funding patch for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) over the fierce objections of Democratic lawmakers late Friday evening. But the 42-day shutdown that has snarled air travel and left tens of thousands of federal employees without pay is far from over. House lawmakers voted 213-203, largely along party lines, to approve a two-month funding extension for the beleaguered department, which has been operating without full-year appropriations since the funding lapse began on Feb. 14. A Senate proforma session resumes later today. Also the "No Kings" protests over the weekend proved to be nothing more than entertainment for Republicans, audio from CNN's Scott Jennings on the left's financing these rallies, the "Obama Chant Fight Song" deifying the former President and proving disingenuous to the "No Kings" message, Dems want a "straight white Christian man" for their Presidential nominee and an historic profile of the men Democrats have chosen to represent their party. Airport Chaos ENDING, DHS Partially Funded—the Inside Story plus Save America Act & Artic Frost

1. DHS Shutdown and Airport Crisis The discussion centers on a prolonged Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown that led to unpaid TSA agents, widespread airport delays, and near-collapse of airport operations. President Trump issued an emergency order to ensure TSA agents were paid, averting a potential nationwide airport shutdown. The crisis is framed as a direct consequence of Senate Democrats refusing to vote on DHS funding. 2. Political Strategy Behind DHS Funding Democrats are deliberately defunding DHS to block immigration enforcement, particularly ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Republicans ultimately agreed to a short-term funding bill that restores pay to most DHS employees except ICE, as a temporary measure to reopen government operations. Republicans plan to use budget reconciliation (which requires only 50 votes) to pass long-term funding for ICE and border enforcement, potentially locking in funding for up to 10 years. 3. ICE and Border Enforcement Dispute ICE funding becomes the central ideological battleground. Democrats are openly opposing immigration enforcement, including: Deportation officers (ERO) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which handles terrorism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and child exploitation Republicans argue that Democrats’ stance jeopardizes national security and public safety. 4. Senate Votes and Procedural Maneuvering The DHS funding bill ultimately passed the Senate by voice vote late at night, signaling no formal opposition at the moment of passage. The House is expected to pass it, restoring operations and pay for most federal personnel. This outcome is a tactical but temporary Democratic win, soon to be reversed via reconciliation. 5. SAVE Act and Voter ID Controversy The SAVE Act seeks to: Require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote Require photo ID to vote Democrats publicly claim to support voter ID but unanimously voted against a standalone voter ID amendment. Numerous quotes from Democratic leaders supporting voter ID are contrasted with their actual Senate votes, highlighting alleged hypocrisy. Republicans argue that voter ID has overwhelming bipartisan public support. 6. Media Accountability Most mainstream media outlets are accused of shielding Democrats from accountability. CBS News is highlighted as an exception for openly reporting the contradiction between Democratic statements and votes. 7. “Arctic Frost” Investigation (Modern Watergate) The transcript describes a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into “Arctic Frost,” alleged to be a DOJ operation targeting Donald Trump and conservative institutions. Claims include: Hundreds of subpoenas Surveillance of ~20% of Republican senators Subpoenas for campaign staff, donors, and private citizens Wiretapping of attorney-client communications The scale is described as far exceeding Watergate. 8. Alleged DOJ and FBI Weaponization The Biden administration is accused of politicizing the Department of Justice and FBI. Democrats are criticized for refusing to condemn or even discuss these actions. A sharp contrast is drawn with Watergate-era Republicans who confronted their own party’s president to uphold institutional integrity. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. BREAKING NEWS this hour as Congress is one step closer to ending the Homeland Security shutdown after the Senate advanced a new, last-minute deal, but it came at the price of Republicans ceding ground, temporarily, to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. The Senate unanimously advanced a deal to reopen most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the wee hours of Friday morning, 42 days into the shutdown that was spurred by the Trump administration's immigration operations in Minnesota. It was an agreement that largely gave Schumer and Senate Democrats what they wanted — no funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and parts of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). But it lacked the stringent reforms they desired, like requiring judicial warrants or requiring agents to unmask. Reports of Iranian sleeper cells in the U.S., a Democratic shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, and Trump's military strategy in Iran dominate today's explosive coverage. From border security failures to precision strikes abroad, the stakes have never been higher. SUMMARY In this episode, we cover a series of intertwined crises threatening the U.S.: 1. Iranian Sleeper Cells Threat Encrypted communications signal sleeper cells abroad and inside the U.S. President Trump confirmed that intelligence agencies are monitoring these threats closely, but operations are hampered by the Democratic shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Alerts have gone out to law enforcement about possible attacks, highlighting risks to national security. 2. Democratic Shutdown of DHS House Republicans passed DHS funding, but Democrats, led by Hakim Jeffries, blocked it, affecting TSA, Coast Guard, ICE operations, and cybersecurity infrastructure. The shutdown interferes with law enforcement's ability to track sleeper cells and maintain airport, border, and disaster response readiness. Critics highlight a disconnect between political priorities and real threats, especially amid ongoing terror and security risks. 3. Border Security and Illegal Immigrant Oversight Allegations that thousands of foreign sex offenders were allowed entry under Biden-era policies, evading proper oversight. Recent arrests highlight the ongoing risks posed by inadequate border enforcement. Calls for stricter immigration enforcement and ICE access to sensitive locations remain a point of contention. 4. U.S. Military Operations in Iran Trump reports that military actions in Iran are proceeding efficiently, with air strikes achieving precision and minimal casualties. Ground troops are reportedly unnecessary; emphasis is on special forces, tech, AI, and robotics. The strikes aim to dismantle Iran's military infrastructure, including ballistic missile capabilities, while preventing nuclear proliferation. Strategic ambiguity in public statements serves operational and negotiation purposes. 5. Technology and Modern Warfare The current conflict showcases the increasing role of drones, AI, and precision munitions over traditional large-scale troop deployments. Observers highlight U.S. military professionalism and minimal losses in operations so far. This episode exposes the intersection of domestic political gridlock, national security threats, and international military strategy, illustrating the complex environment U.S. leadership must navigate. SOCIAL MEDIA POST Title: Trump Warns: Sleeper Cells, DHS Shutdown & Precision Strikes in Iran Description: Iranian sleeper cells, a Democratic shutdown of Homeland Security, and U.S. precision strikes in Iran are raising the stakes for national security. Message: Iran has activated sleeper cells in the U.S., but the Democratic shutdown of DHS hampers law enforcement's response. Meanwhile, Trump's military is executing precise air strikes in Iran, targeting nuclear and missile infrastructure without deploying large-scale troops. Border security failures, illegal immigrant risks, and political stalemates compound domestic threats, while modern warfare emphasizes tech, special ops, and intelligence superiority. A second funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) narrowly passed the U.S. House of Representatives. As KJZZ's Gabriel Pietrorazio reports, U.S. Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) sought to create a safeguard for tribes getting caught up in immigration crackdowns. Rep. Grijalva has been regularly meeting with tribal leaders from across southern Arizona, like the Pascua Yaqui, Tohono O'odham, and Gila River. She says they are all telling her the same thing. “DHS must consult with tribes. They're not doing it now. This administration doesn't honor sovereignty.” Grijalva proposed an amendment to the funding bill that would have required U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to consult with tribes before conducting immigration enforcement on their land, but her effort to attach that requirement to a DHS funding bill failed. “They're all concerned with the presence of ICE and how they are profiling their members because, you know, they might look like working people who have darker skin.” Meanwhile, Kristi Noem has been ousted by President Donald Trump as DHS secretary. He named U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin (Cherokee/R-OK) as her replacement. “Removing Noem doesn't root out the lawlessness at ICE. Maybe leadership style might be different, but the end goal is still the same.” Ketchikan-based artist Savannah LeCornu was selected as this year's poster artist for the Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau, Alaska. (Courtesy Jason Baldwin) Ketchikan, Alaska-based artist Savannah LeCornu was recently selected as this year's poster artist for the Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau. The annual spring event seeks art submissions from Alaska creatives for festival merchandise, including its promotional poster. KRBD's Hunter Morrison sat down with LeCornu to discuss how the opportunity will help expand representation of Indigenous artists throughout Alaska. Hunter Morrison: Can you tell me a little bit about what inspires your work as an artist? Savannah LeCornu: I'm an Indigenous artist. I’m part of three different tribes. I’m Tsimshian, Haida and Nez Perce. So a lot of my inspiration comes from the art styles of my tribes, as well as my family, surroundings, environment, friends, that kind of thing. HM: Can you tell me a little bit more about what mediums of art you specialize in? SL: Yeah. So mainly I draw and I paint. I do a lot of traditional drawing, but I also do digital drawing as well. So, working with Procreate on my iPad. And then I also do painting, mainly acrylic, but I have done watercolor here and there. HM: You were selected as this year’s poster artist for the Alaska Folk Festival. Do you have a design yet for that poster? Or, do you have ideas of what that design might look like? SL: I don’t know how secret they are with it. I will say my inspirations were some of my favorite musicians in Alaska, as well as the northern lights. HM: How will this opportunity expand not only your work as an artist, but expand the celebration of Indigenous people and Indigenous art? SL: Wow, what a great question. What I’m hoping for with being the artist for this year’s folk fest is that my art gets started to be seen more widely throughout Alaska. I will say it’s not my most obvious Indigenous design. I will say all of my art inherently becomes Indigenous because I am Indigenous, but at the same time, there’s no form line in it. There’s no traditional Native art in it for this design. But I still hope that means that people look into my own art and see more of what I do, and that people just explore more of it. Get National Native News delivered to your inbox daily. 1. Democrats and DHS/ICE Some Democratic lawmakers, including Rep. Ilhan Omar, are discussing abolishing ICE and even dismantling the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Democrats want major restrictions on ICE operations, such as: Requiring judicial warrants for arrests Banning face masks for agents Requiring body cameras Restricting enforcement at “sensitive locations” (hospitals, schools, polling sites) 2. These Proposals are: Unsafe, claiming they would create “safe havens” for criminals. Preventing ICE arrests at polling sites is unnecessary because non‑citizens cannot vote under federal law. Dismantling DHS would eliminate major agencies such as: CBP (Customs and Border Protection) ICE TSA FEMA Coast Guard Secret Service USCIS (Immigration Services) 3. FBI and Antifa Investigation Claims The FBI is conducting financial investigations into Antifa. Investigators have uncovered funding streams tied to Antifa activities. Some funding might flow through US‑based nonprofits, tax‑exempt groups, or even foreign sources. Patel is quoted saying more information will be released in the coming months. 4. Mention of Prior Cases Arrests connected to Antifa‑related violence in multiple states. A Federal trial in Texas involving alleged attacks on ICE personnel. Incidents related to the “Cop City” protests in Georgia. Antifa is described as a decentralized network, which the text claims makes prosecution harder. We take a look at the Lockheed Constellation with one of the last pilots to have flown the L-1649A Starliner Constellation. In the news, the ROTOR Act and an ADS-B In mandate, GAMA's annual Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report, the Government’s partial shutdown impact on the TSA, Government luxury jets, and a plan to market an Embraer aerial tanker. Also, an interview from the Singapore Airshow with a Product Development VP from Textron Aviation. Lockheed Starliner L-1649A flying in TWA colors. Guest Philip Kemp has been an Airline Transport Pilot for 17 years, and he has more than a little experience with the Lockheed Constellation. That connection came about in the 1980's after meeting Maurice Roundy, a Lockheed Constellation fan and collector of the airplane. Philip is one of the last pilots to have flown the L-1649A Starliner Constellation.  Philip describes the development of the Lockheed Constellation and its variants, and how the airliner was obsoleted by jet transports. He tells us about his adventures ferrying Connies, the remaining examples that still exist, and the sale of Maurice's Constellations, including an ultimately unsuccessful attempt by Lufthansa to make one of the aircraft flightworthy. Philip explains that N8083H is now at the TWA Hotel at JFK after a cosmetic restoration, N974R is with Kermit Weeks also for a cosmetic restoration, and that N7316C was shipped to Hamburg for the 100th Lufthansa anniversary. Ferry flight from Sanford, Florida, to Kermit Weeks’ Fantasy of Flight. October 2001. Philip started his career with Continental Express, and then he flew Part 135 jet charter with Charter Ops for two years. He returned to the airlines with SkyWest, then back to Continental Express (ExpressJet). Philip spent nine years with North American Airlines flying troops all over the world, and his last six years were with JetBlue. He was the Manager of Crew Training at Waltzing Matilda Aviation/Connect Airlines, a new Part 121 airline, flying Dash 8 Q400's. Philip is now looking for a good teaching opportunity in the aviation world. N8083H L-1649A at the TWA Hotel, JFK. N7316C and N8083H next to Maurice Roundy's airport house. Aviation News After DCA crash, Congress acts to mandate decades-old aircraft tracking tech Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) is an aviation system that uses GPS to determine aircraft position and also provides other flight information. ADS-B has two functions: ADS-B In and ADS-B Out. ADS-B Out broadcasts position and other identifying information, and has been required for many aircraft in the U.S. since 2020. ADS-B In receives transmissions from other aircraft and from ground stations. The bi-partisan Rotorcraft Operations Transparency and Oversight Reform (ROTOR) Act (S.2503) would require ADS-B out aircraft to have ADS-B In to display information about nearby traffic in the cockpit. The ROTOR Act was unanimously passed by the Senate in December 2025, and at the time of recording, a vote in the House was scheduled. House to vote Monday on ROTOR Act following deadly midair collision After recording, the House voted on the bill, but it did not pass due to insufficient votes. Under the ROTOR Act: FAA must issue final rules for ADS‑B In equipage not later than 2 years after enactment, effective within 60 days of publication. The final rule has a fleet-wide compliance deadline of December 31, 2031, for affected aircraft, with at most a 1‑year extension for certain operators. FAA must start regular briefings and public reports on the rulemaking status within 180 days after enactment and then every 90 days. GAMA Reports Strong 2025 for OEMs The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) released its 2025 Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report: Airplane shipments in 2025 compared to 2024: Piston airplanes flat (+0.6%) Turboprops declined by 5.1% Business jets increased 11.8% with 854 units. The value of airplane deliveries for 2025 was $31.0 billion, an increase of 16.1%. Helicopter shipments in 2025 compared to 2024: Piston helicopters were down 2% Turbine helicopters down 2% (preliminary) The preliminary value of helicopter deliveries for 2025 was $4.7 billion, an increase of approximately 5.5%. Homeland security reverses course on TSA PreCheck suspension Citing staffing shortages caused by the partial government shutdown, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initially suspended the TSA PreCheck and Global Entry airport security programs. Soon thereafter, DHS revised the directive in a social media post saying, “TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public. As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case-by-case basis and adjust operations accordingly.” Chris Sununu, president and CEO of the trade association Airlines for America, said in a statement that the group “is deeply concerned that TSA PreCheck and Global Entry programs are being suspended and that the traveling public will be, once again, used as a political football amid another government shutdown”. Geoff Freeman, head of the US Travel Association, accused Democratic and Republican lawmakers of putting politics first. “Air travel is essential for our economy and daily life, and it's disgraceful for travel to be used as leverage in political disagreements,” he said in a statement. No Expense Has Been Spared’: Inside a Luxury Jet DHS Wants to Buy for Deportations DHS has been leasing a Boeing 737 Max 8 featuring bedrooms, showers, a kitchen, four large flat-screen TVs, and a bar. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is asking the OMB to approve its purchase of the jet for $70 million. ICE says that it would be used for deportations and travel for Cabinet officials. A DHS spokesperson said, “at least one of the bedrooms is currently being converted for seating to prepare the aircraft to meet the demands of its deportation mission set.” In a statement, a DHS spokesperson said, “This plane flies at 40% cheaper than what the military aircraft flies for ICE deportation flights—saving the American taxpayer hundreds of millions of dollars. This is part of Secretary Noem's broader efforts to clamp down on inefficiencies and save taxpayer dollars.” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Spends $200 Million of Taxpayer Money on Pair of Gulfstream G700 Private Jets During Government Shutdown House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) and Homeland Security Subcommittee Ranking Member Lauren Underwood (IL-14) requested more information from the Secretary regarding the purchase, which does not align with earlier funding requests for the Department. Senate Democrats are demanding funding be tied to reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), a stance they have maintained since Alex Pretti and Renee Good were killed by federal agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Today's Headlines: Early voting is officially underway for North Carolina's March 3 Senate primary — your reminder that primary season is here and checking your state's election dates is now mandatory civic behavior. The timing matters, because Washington is doing the most: the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is likely to shut down after Senate Democrats blocked a funding bill that didn't include limits on ICE practices. If it happens, the shutdown would also hit the TSA, FEMA, and the United States Coast Guard — just as Congress leaves town for a Presidents' Day recess.  Meanwhile, border czar Tom Homan claims ICE is ending deployments to Minnesota, though reporting suggests those deployments may not have actually ended — or possibly started. At the same time, Customs and Border Protection is moving ahead with a $225,000 contract for Clearview AI, a facial recognition tool built on billions of scraped images, now approved for “tactical targeting” and network analysis.  That mysterious whistleblower complaint involving Tulsi Gabbard also landed exactly where everyone expected: it centered on her burying an NSA report about a Trump associate's call with a foreign intelligence agency. Just as we guessed…last week, that associate was Jared Kushner, and the call reportedly involved Iran. Benjamin Netanyahu met with Donald Trump at the White House, after which Trump publicly scolded Isaac Herzog for not pardoning Netanyahu over corruption charges — while brushing off questions about responsibility for October 7. Elsewhere, X, owned by Elon Musk, is under scrutiny after reports it sold premium accounts to Iranian regime officials despite U.S. sanctions. And finally, Gallup announced its ending monthly presidential approval ratings after nearly 90 years. The last one, taken in December, clocked in at 36%. What are my rights when a Border Patrol officer talks to me? How are all of these agents being trained amid a massive hiring push by the Trump administration? In our own coverage, we've tried to address some of these questions, but the answers are often legally nuanced and impossible to sum up in a single sentence, a post on X, or a thirty-second TikTok video. The funding bill previously passed the Senate 71–29, after Democrats pushed to remove appropriations for DHS following the shootings of two U.S. citizens by federal immigration officers in Minnesota in January. 21 Democrats voted for the measure in the House, while 21 Republicans voted against it. President Donald Trump signed the bill on Tuesday, funding most federal departments through September 30; the deadline to fund Homeland Security was set for next Friday, February 13. On Monday, President Donald Trump announced that border czar Tom Homan would go to Minnesota to oversee immigration enforcement efforts. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino, who had previously spearheaded the operations, reportedly left Minnesota on Tuesday along with an unspecified number of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents; Bovino returned to his previous post in California. Separately, two Customs and Border Patrol agents who fired guns in the Saturday shooting death of 37-year-old U.S. citizen Alex Pretti were placed on leave; Bovino had previously shared that the agents had been reassigned to another state but were still working. The moves follow widespread, bipartisan scrutiny of DHS over Pretti's death and the earlier shooting death of 37-year-old U.S. citizen Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer.Ad-free podcasts are here!To listen to this podcast ad-free, and to enjoy our subscriber only premium content, go to ReadTangle.com to sign up!You can read today's podcast here, our “Under the Radar” story here and today's “Have a nice day” story here. You can subscribe to Tangle by clicking here or drop something in our tip jar by clicking here. Simultaneously Mexico modifies all their trade positions to come into alignment with the USA. Yesterday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Mexico will no longer ship oil to Cuba.   When President Trump was asked about Prime Minister Mark Carney creating a new trade agreement with China, President Trump responded that he didn't care – it was irrelevant to him.  Yet, simultaneously inside the USMCA President Trump has the power to veto any trade agreement between Mexico or Canada and a non-member nation. So, why didn't President Trump care?  Easy, because in President Trump's mind there's not going to be a USMCA; so, he really doesn't care if Canada runs to violate it.  In real terms, Canada doing bilateral deals with other countries, especially deals potentially detrimental to the USA, only strengthens his position on dissolving the USMCA. If Canada violates the terms and spirit of the USMCA, it makes dispatch of the unliked trade agreement even easier.  Canada is helping President Trump remove the congressional justification they could use to block him.  If Canada is violating the USMCA (CUSMA), Congress is kneecapped from interference. He is most likely a central figure in raising money. So, yeah. Starting to look like foreigners are playing a key role in all of this. That’s not all. I’ve put together a spreadsheet of 4000+ donors and their possible identities. https://twitter.com/davidson_f14299/status/2015874164679442499?s=20  Machine that's been running this country for decades. She's tied into the donors, the nonprofits, the consultants, the media networks — all the gears that keep the Machine turning. And look at what she just did. She tweeted out that webpage directing people to donate through a foreign‑operated platform. That's not some innocent little share. That's the Machine signaling to its own network — money pipelines, global partners, and political messaging all moving in sync. She knows exactly what she's amplifying and who benefits from it. And this isn't new for her. Look back at Russiagate. Her campaign funded the Steele dossier — the spark that set off years of investigations, headlines, and division. Even after the whole thing fell apart under scrutiny, the chaos it created was already locked in. That's how the Machine works: it doesn't need accuracy, it just needs momentum. And she's been one of the people who knows how to generate that momentum better than anyone. So where does she sit in the Machine? Right in the core. Not elected. Not accountable. Still pulling levers through the same networks she helped build. She's not operating inside the Machine — she's one of the people who designed the damn thing. And that's why her name keeps showing up. Not because she holds office. But because the Machine still runs on the structures she put in place — and every time she boosts a link, a cause, or a narrative, you can see those old gears turning all over again. https://twitter.com/julie_kelly2/status/2015963638096429102?s=20 https://twitter.com/WarClandestine/status/2015941282237972649?s=20     President Trump's Plan  And we back you WHOLEHEARTEDLY in making it happen https://twitter.com/TriciaOhio/status/2015939758858371393?s=20   https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2015858856430055491?s=20   professional. Nearly 150 House Democrats have sponsored articles of impeachment against Noem, first unveiled by Democratic Illinois Rep. Robin Kelly on Jan. 14, but Jeffries had not previously backed the impeachment push. Jeffries vowed Tuesday that House Democrats will launch impeachment proceedings against Noem if President Donald Trump does not fire her. They could have done this the whole time, but it wasn't until after the call between Walz and Trump, and the discovery of the Signal groups involving Minnesota government officials, that this happened.   https://twitter.com/CynicalPublius/status/2015868419187544417?s=20 https://twitter.com/derrickvanorden/status/2015808200495312963?s=20 Counterinsurgency may be defined as ‘comprehensive civilian and military efforts taken to simultaneously defeat and contain insurgency and address its root causes'. Defeat refers to actively dismantling the insurgent group’s capabilities—through kinetic operations (e.g., raids, airstrikes) to kill or capture leaders, disrupt supply lines, and degrade their fighting strength. Contain means preventing the insurgency from spreading or escalating. This could involve securing borders, isolating insurgent areas, or using psychological operations (psyops) to undermine their recruitment and propaganda. The “simultaneously” part stresses that these aren’t sequential steps; they happen in parallel. You can’t just “contain” without addressing threats, nor can you defeat an insurgency if it keeps regenerating in new areas. Key challenge: Insurgents often blend into the civilian population, making it hard to target them without collateral damage, which can create more enemies. 3. Address Its Root Causes Insurgencies don’t arise in a vacuum; they’re often driven by underlying issues like political exclusion, economic inequality, corruption, ethnic tensions, or lack of basic services. The definition insists that long-term success requires tackling these “root causes” to prevent resurgence. This might include reforms such as land redistribution, anti-corruption drives, inclusive governance, or economic development programs. Without this, military victories are temporary. For instance, historical cases like the Malayan Emergency (1948–1960) succeeded partly because British forces combined military action with resettlement programs and political concessions that addressed Malay grievances against colonial rule. Broader Context and Principles Population-Centric Approach: Modern COIN doctrine, influenced by thinkers like David Galula or modern adaptations, views the local population as the “center of gravity.” The goal is to protect civilians, gain their trust, and separate them from insurgents—often summarized as “clear, hold, build” (clear insurgents from an area, hold it securely, and build sustainable institutions). Challenges and Criticisms: COIN is resource-intensive, time-consuming, and politically fraught. It can lead to prolonged conflicts, human rights abuses, or mission creep. Critics argue it sometimes ignores cultural contexts or over-relies on foreign intervention, as seen in Vietnam or Iraq. Success Factors: Effective COIN requires unity of effort (coordination between allies), intelligence-driven operations, and adaptability. Metrics for success go beyond body counts to include governance improvements and reduced violence. In essence, this definition portrays counterinsurgency as a balanced, enduring campaign that blends force with reform to not just suppress rebellion but eliminate the conditions that sustain it.    https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2015886441063055779?s=20 patriots need all the support they can get! Background on the “Big Beautiful Bill” and ICE Funding In 2025, Republicans passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (often referred to by President Trump as the “Big Beautiful Bill”), which allocated approximately $75 billion to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over four years. This funding was separate from annual appropriations and effectively tripled ICE’s budget, providing a multi-year “slush fund” for immigration enforcement, including deportations.  This bill was part of Trump’s broader immigration agenda and bypassed traditional yearly funding processes, allowing ICE to operate independently of short-term congressional battles. Current Shutdown Threat and Democrats’ Strategy Democrats, led by figures like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sens. Patty Murray, Chris Murphy, and others, have vowed to block the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill in the Senate. This bill includes $64.4 billion for DHS overall, with about $10 billion specifically for ICE in the current fiscal year.  Why the Shutdown Won’t Defund ICE Even prominent Democrats like Sen. Murray acknowledge that a shutdown or continuing resolution (short-term funding patch) won’t restrain ICE. The agency can draw from the $75 billion already secured via the Big Beautiful Bill, allowing operations to continue uninterrupted under Trump’s “law-and-order” immigration crackdown.  A shutdown would primarily affect non-ICE parts of DHS (e.g., TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard) and other bundled departments, forcing some federal workers to go without pay while ICE remains funded and operational.  Republican Position and “Upper Hand” The White House and GOP leaders like Speaker Mike Johnson are not yielding, insisting on passing the full package without decoupling DHS funding. They view Democratic threats as ineffective since ICE’s core operations are protected by the prior bill.  The House has already passed the DHS bill with some Democratic support, putting pressure on the Senate. Republicans are framing this as Democrats prioritizing protests over essential services, giving the GOP leverage in negotiations.    https://twitter.com/AwakenedOutlaw/status/2015946190219837842?s=20   themselves, and engage in thoughtful discourse and/or express outrage against the wholesale ridiculousness of not allowing the government to do its job and protect us…and they do so for months on matters that most would never have otherwise engaged in AND would otherwise slip out of the news cycle quickly.    The Supreme Court ends up taking the case and rules (correctly) in favor of his administration. Piece by piece through this process, legal precedence is secured. Which, as it turns out, was deemed necessary to help secure the future of our Republic writ large. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. This implies that we are directly involved in an educational process, if you will, as we all progress through the realignment. Kristi Noem calls out Tim Walz and Jacob Frey over the ambush of a Federal Agent last night in Minneapolis.U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials say the shooting happened just before 7 p.m. after federal law enforcement tried to conduct a traffic stop in Minneapolis. The subject of the traffic stop was an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela, DHS said.A DHS spokesperson said the subject of the traffic stop tried to run away from law enforcement before agents caught up with him, and a struggle ensued.During the struggle, two people came out of a nearby apartment and hit the law enforcement agent with a snow shovel and broom handle, according to DHS officials. The initial man involved in the traffic stop then got away from federal law enforcement and allegedly began hitting the agent, a DHS spokesperson said. The agent then fired his weapon and hit the man in the leg. All three people involved ran into a nearby apartment and barricaded themselves inside, DHS officials said.During a later press conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara stated that their department received a 911 call at around 6:51 p.m. about the shooting.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
