At the same time, culture is changing, becoming more fragmented in a way where fewer monocultural moments exist. Delphin-Rittmon, Ph.D. (she/hers) is the Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Administrator of SAMHSA and an Unapologetically Black Unicorn. Dr. Delphin-Rittmon reflects on her roles before joining SAMHSA and some of her mentors through the course of her career. Today I share about what my life has been like after planning Delphin's medical journey for the past 9 months. I have wrestled and battled. I can put the other side all because of Jesus.

Stell dir vor, du würdest genauso viel Zeit und Energie, wie du sie vielleicht in eine Karriere steckst, die dich nicht richtig erfüllt, in die Dinge stecken, die dir wirklich Freude machen im Leben. Spannender Gedanke, oder? Genau dieser Gedanke hat bei meinem heutigen Interviewgast zu einem Wendepunkt in seinem Leben geführt.   Ich freue mich so sehr, heute mit dem peruanischen Schriftsteller Sergio Bambaren, der vor allem durch seinen Roman Der träumende Delphin bekannt wurde, darüber zu sprechen, wie er seine Lebensfreude zunächst verloren und dann wiedergefunden hat.    Er erzählt uns von seinen vielen Reisen als leidenschaftlicher Surfer rund um die Welt und auch davon, wie er das, was er eigentlich so liebte, durch seine Arbeit mehr und mehr vernachlässigte. Bis er erkannte, dass er sich selbst einen goldenen Käfig gebaut hatte und daraus aussteigen musste. Wir sprechen darüber, welche Erkenntnisse er auf seiner Reise des Lebens hatte und was er vor allem durchs Surfen und Reisen über das Leben gelernt hat.
