Hospitali zimejaa na maelfu ya raia hawana msaada wa dharura.Mashirika ya Umoja wa Mataifa lile la idadi ya watu na afya ya uzazi, (UNFPA), na la misaada ya kibinadamu na dharura (OCHA) leo yamesisitiza kuwa kusitishwa kwa ufadhili wa Marekani kunawaacha mamilioni 'hatarini'. Hayo yakijiri tayari imefahamika kuwa Rais Donald Trump anaiondoa Marekani katika Baraza la Umoja wa Mataifa la Haki za Binadamu na pia kuacha kulifadhili shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Kuhudumia wakimbizi wa Kipalestina.Na ikiwa leo ni Siku ya Kimataifa ya Saratani, Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Afya Duniani (WHO) limeeleza kiasi takwimu kuhusu ugonjwa huo kwamba mathalani  kwa mwaka 2020 saratani ilisababisha vifo karibu milioni 10 sawa na kifo kimoja kati ya sita duniani. Aidha WHO imebainisha kuwa saratani zinazojitokeza zaidi ni saratani ya matiti, mapafu na utumbo mpana.Na katika mashinani  fursa ni yake Safiya Jeylaani, mkazi wa Barawe katika Jimbo la Kusini Magharibi mwa Somalia ambye baada ya kuhudhuria hafla ya kujadili umuhimu wa upatikanaji wa huduma za afya kwa Wasomali wote katika mji mkuu wa Somalia, Mogadishu iliyoandaliwa na Umoja wa Mataifa anasema jamii wanapaswa kuelimishwa kuhusu afya kutumia lugha mama.Mwenyeji wako ni Flora Nducha, karibu!
