The future of Nashville's Fairgrounds Speedway might be up to voters this November, as petitioners work to collect signatures for a ballot amendment that would drop auto racing as a required use at the Fairgrounds and replace it with “affordable and/or workforce housing.” One group opposing the petition and fighting to preserve the racetrack is LiUNA Local 386. But why is the laborers' union so invested? LiUNA business manager Ethan Link sits down with host Rachel Iacovone to explain why the speedway means more than just racing to his members. Pantoro Gold Ltd managing director Paul Cmrlec talked with Proactive about high-grade drilling results from the Racetrack discovery within the company's 100%-owned Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia. Speaking from the Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum, Cmrlec said a large proportion of the latest drill holes intersecting the high-grade zone had displayed visible gold. He also highlighted the widths encountered and the discovery's location just 600 metres north of the OK underground mine. The discovery is interpreted as a cross-linking structure between the north- and south-striking structures that historically produced much of Norseman's gold. Cmrlec compared its geological setting with the historic Bullen deposit, which produced around 500,000 ounces at approximately 10 grams per tonne and remains open at depth. Pantoro has begun planning an underground exploration drive from the nearby OK mine infrastructure. Cmrlec also discussed the company's wider strategy of increasing underground ore feed, replacing lower-grade open-pit material and ultimately moving towards annual production of 200,000 ounces. Cat MacLeod has spent much of his life bringing two passions together: motorcycles and travel. Raised on a horse ranch, McLeod began riding at age 11 under the guidance of AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Gunnar Lindstrom. He later earned an MBA and built a career in the motorcycle industry, holding marketing and brand-management roles with companies including Bel-Ray, BikeBandit, and LeoVince USA. MacLeod's experience in the travel business dates back to the 1990s, but a ride through Europe convinced him that conventional motorcycle tours were not always designed for experienced, performance-minded riders. That realization inspired Leod Escapes, which combines guided road tours with track time at internationally renowned racing circuits. Over the past 14 years, Cat has ridden a dozen MotoGP circuits, including Mugello, Sachsenring, Phillip Island, Catalunya, Portimão, and Brno. His tours typically pair three days at the track with carefully selected roads, regional food, local culture, and practical rider training. On this episode of “Driven to Ride,” host Mark Long talks with MacLeod about learning from an eventful first tour, building a worldwide network of instructors and suppliers, and creating unforgettable experiences for riders who want more than an ordinary motorcycle vacation. https://www.leodescapes.com/ Connect with Us:Website: www.driventoridepodcast.comInstagram: www.Instagram.com/driventoridepodcastFacebook: www.facebook.com/driventorideEmail:hello@driventoridepodcast.com

When work and life do not seem enough despite glitz, glamour, fast cars and chic events ...In todays episode, Claudia is in conversation with Andrea Bury, founder of the Abury Foundation and Abury Hospitality Academy for Women in Marrakech. In this episode you learn about how it is to move to Marrakech coming from Berlin, to try to understand and adapt to a new culture and different religion. In her three years, living in Marrakech, Andrea realised that girls and young women need not only support in getting a well rounded education, but have never been asked to begin with:"What is your dream in life. What do you want?" She spotted the need for empowerment to bring more young women into the workforce. It all started with Andrea selling vintage Berber-Bags to be able to create opportunities of school attendance for girls. Fast forward, Andrea launched the Abury Hospitality Academy, a training program in the hospitality sector for underprivileged young women. Over the past 15 years, Andrea and her growing team have been moving the foundation forward, in helping women to live a self determined life, by promoting equality, education and understanding. Listen in to find out how you can support an intimate, purpose driven, small organisation that has big plans for the future and takes every girl along. ### To find out more about Andrea Bury and how to support her foundation and academy, please follow these links: ABURY Foundation @andreabury on Instagram ### To learn more about SHIFT HAPPENS, click here, about Claudia's business SHIFT HAPPENS.Curated Conversations and her Salons in New York, Zurich and Berlin, click here You can also connect with Claudia on Instagram @shifthappens.podcast and LinkedIn at ClaudiaMahlerNYC This podcast is created, produced and hosted by Claudia Mahler.

Some battles follow you long after you leave the military. On this episode of The ToosDay Crüe, hosts Jake Holland and Stephen LaMonica sit down with US Army Veteran Tia May, a telecommunications systems operator who joined the Army in 2001 and faced challenges that pushed her mental health to the edge. During her time in service, Tia experienced disrespect from fellow soldiers and constant body size shaming. The emotional toll built up over time, leading her to turn to alcohol to cope. Nightmares, anxiety, and the weight of unresolved trauma eventually brought her close to a breaking point. But her story didn't end there. Tia found an unexpected path toward healing—motorsports. What started as an outlet became a lifeline. Getting behind the wheel gave her focus, adrenaline, and a sense of control that helped quiet the chaos she was battling internally. Now, Tia is using motorsports as a platform for mental health advocacy, helping raise awareness and encouraging veterans to find their own paths toward healing. Her mission is simple but powerful: get veterans out on the track, open the conversation about mental health, and prove that recovery is possible. Life in the Army as a telecommunications operator The mental health challenges many soldiers face but rarely talk about Coping with trauma, nightmares, and alcohol The breaking point that forced change How motorsports became therapy Using racing to help other veterans find healing

What really happened the night Amy disappeared? Why was her phone found in her bedroom if her best friend and her best friend's mom saw it in her hand when she left their home? Could the people closest to her have known more than they said? And is it just a coincidence that Amy's brother, Dean, started to ask questions before he was killed by the person he was questioning? We will revisit Amy's final days, her diary entries, the possibilities, and the emotional toll this case continues to take on her family.
