About the Guest(s):Dr. Andrew Goff was an educator of children with and without disabilities for twelve years before transferring the knowledge and skills he developed as a teacher to his work as a researcher, author, and college professor. He holds a Bachelor's in child psychology and a Master's in early childhood education/special education from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He earned his doctorate in leadership for educational equity with an emphasis in early childhood special education from the University of Colorado Denver. Episode Summary:In this enriching episode of the Think Inclusive podcast, host Tim Villegas welcomes Andrew Goff, an advocate for inclusive education and an author who reflects deeply on his transformative experiences in the classroom. Goff reveals his insights on why the classroom should be a place of love and growth for all children, regardless of their abilities. He shares a powerful narrative centered around his experience with a student named Javon, illuminating the challenges and triumphs of creating a nurturing learning environment. The discussion delves into the complexities of advocacy within an often rigid education system and the transition to leadership roles that can influence change. The episode is a testament to the profound impact that educators like Goff have on shaping inclusive schools, delivering poignant reflections that will resonate with teachers, administrators, and advocates alike.Transcript: https://otter.ai/u/Y5Z0hE2eYJvHfuoSoUEGn5UZHg8Key Takeaways:Inclusive education benefits all children, those with and without disabilities. Goff underscores the importance of creating a classroom environment where each child is given the opportunity to thrive.Goff's journey to inclusion involved a shift from viewing specialized support as necessary for some students to seeing inclusion as beneficial for everyone. This was particularly evident in the growth and kindness exhibited by children without disabilities.Leadership plays a crucial role in educational advocacy. Goff discusses his move from classroom teaching to instructing future teachers, emphasizing the value of leadership in fostering inclusion.Goff also talks about the tensions between being an educator and an advocate within a system resistant to change, sharing strategies for advocating for inclusion while navigating professional survival. The episode also highlights the importance of compassion and humanity, advocating for a future where all individuals, particularly children, see each other as equals deserving of respect and friendship.Resources:Love is a Classroom (Book by Andrew Goff): https://amzn.to/48fpZJLInclusive Schooling (Website): https://www.inclusiveschooling.com/MCIE: https://mcie.org/ Hosted on Acast. Quieting The Monkey Chatter And Listening To Our Intuition's Whisper with Dame Lillian Walker

Since we are little kids, we are taught to ignore our intuition. Parents do that all the time, unknowingly, of course. Every time parents force their kids to sleep when they are not tired or eat, even when they aren't hungry, they are actually teaching those kids to ignore what their body tells them. That creates a disconnection between mind and body; it decreases our intuition's voice volume. In addition, the social construct sees intuition and gut feelings as the exact opposite of what is produced by the brain's left side. Intuitive thinking is often seen as a woo-woo practice, and we use our critical thinking without exception for everything. Today, we have the perfect guest to shed light on the critical vs. intuitive thinking discussion, the "Soul Alchemist," Dame Lillian Walker. She is an international Best-selling Author, Speaker, radio show Producer, and Host of The Bottom Line Show Live™. Dame Lillian is also the Former Director of Mass Media and Marketing Production for the Home & Garden Show and a passionate, creative entrepreneur. She founded and ran the 1st Pacific Mortgage Bank for 20 years. We delve into Dame Lillian's unique journey before and after reconnecting with her center. We went through the health issues she had as a child and during some of her pregnancies, which helped her open her eyes to some fundamental truths. She described what exactly helped her gain clarity, how it was to suddenly start listening to intuition's whispering more clearly, and why the ego gets in the middle of our conversation with our gut feeling. We also talk about tunning in with our inner frequency, our distorted idea of love, the power of manifestation, self-healing, and much more. Dr. Laura learns some surprising and inspiring things about Dr. Zavalin's personal journey and how he has overcome obstacles in his life.Stefan Zavalin details how he endured losing his vision to the point of legal blindness while in grad school. He persevered and finished his schooling, even going into the clinic after graduation. He explains that his support system, his family, and his love of movement generally kept him positive. Dr. Laura and Dr. Zavalin discuss how ‘Love to Move' was born out of Stefan's desire to found what he calls a “movement movement”, how he wants to inspire a global cultural change in how desk work is approached, and what helped inspire the journey in his own book.“I'm very happy talking about it. And when people ask how much can you really see, I see shapes and outlines and colors. But the beauty about physical therapy and why I kind of kept going with it, is because a lot of it was hands on …. I definitely kept movement and exercise as part of that whole thing through my recovery and it really did help me get through a lot of the tough times. ” Dr. Stefan ZavalinAbout Stefan Zavalin:Stefan Zavalin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for movement and health. Dr. Laura welcomes Dr. Stefan Zavalin, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and author of the book “Sit Less: Evolve Your Work and Life Without Compromising Your Health”, to the show. Dr. Zavalin's passion for movement and health inspired him to investigate what he could do to counter our culture of sitting, which led to his writing a book on the subject.Dr. Laura explores the facts about how much we generally sit in a day and learns the physical and mental health impacts of all that sedentary behavior from Stefan Zavalin. They discuss how the idea of simply sitting less naturally inspires healthy movement, how to practically structure movement breaks and periods of standing into your work day, and the four levels of beneficial exercise. The enthusiasm Dr. Zavalin exudes is both energizing and motivational, and his advice is directly applicable to all our lives.“I feel that we're constantly hit over the head with this idea of you need to move more, you need to exercise more, do more of this, do more of this and more of this. And that felt like it would lead to a lot of burnout. … But we need to reduce the amount that we're sitting. And I thought that perhaps we need to shift that mindset. And the mindset that I approach it with is, okay, what if we reduce the bad thing, in this case, the sitting? So instead of thinking about moving more, we think about how we can sit less, and thus naturally we end up moving.” Dr. Stefan ZavalinAbout Stefan Zavalin:Stefan Zavalin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for movement and health. Episode Highlights [03:09] Professor Noakes' Career Professor Noakes went to medical school before shifting to research and science.  He started writing the Lore of Running for the public, which is currently ongoing with its fifth revision.  Originally a supporter of the high-carbohydrate diet, he realised he was giving the wrong dietary advice after struggling with Type II Diabetes. He lost funding from his university due to this realisation but won the case in court using well-proven science. With his research, he now teaches the proper management of diabetes. [07:50] Against the Food Industry Professor Noakes lost funding from a company in the food industry after he stopped promoting their grain-based diet.  He was sued for his book, Waterlogged, because it went against the sports drink industry.  [12:30] The Pressure from the Academe  Academic mobbing is the pressure to quit your academic work. Professionals such as deans and professors went against Prof Noakes.  Professor Noakes chose research and science because of the toxic environment in the field of medicine. The academic and medical profession is brutal, with long work hours and debt. [15:39] Diet Guidelines Professor Noakes recommends eating based on what humans have evolved to eat. Historically, humans have hunted big animals and turned to agriculture for food. While reasonably healthy, vegetarian diets can be expensive and require highly refined food. He advises eating non-processed and animal-based food. [19:17] The Human's Digestive Evolution The human diet used to be mainly animal produce. Carbohydrates were only eaten during shortages. It isn't easy to adapt from an animal-based, high-fat diet to a high-grain diet in a short period.  Gorillas have certain digestive mechanisms that can break down carbohydrates into fat. Humanity's evolution as hunters resulted in a shorter bowel that is ideal for eating animal produce. [23:47] On Long-Distance Running Running is not a sustainable activity to bring into older age. Orthopedic problems can develop, especially after decades. It is not an ideal long-term activity. [26:22] Weight Control Removing carbohydrates helped Professor Noakes control his weight. He also found amazing benefits from his biweekly CrossFit sessions complemented with running. Now, he has more muscle mass and better flexibility than before.  [30:52] Professor Noakes' Writing Professor Noakes is rewriting the Lore of Running to debunk myths and misconceptions. He is also working on an article about eating before or after exercise. He recently discovered the reason why carbohydrates are necessary for exercise. Regardless of your diet, avoiding hypoglycemia during exercise is the main goal. [37:05] Preventing Cancer Through Diet The low-carb, high-fat diet is ideal for preventing cancer. Insulin resistance, which can develop from a long-term high-carb diet, underlies most cancers. [40:30] Busting Myths  The central government theory is true. Reduction of exercise performance to reduce lactate and glycogen is a myth. Measuring oxygen consumption and glycogen muscle storage is unimportant. His friend once subscribed to a high-carb diet before switching to low carbs. His running greatly improved. Dave Scott, a well-known athlete, has also seen improvements after changing his diet. [45:39] What to Drink When Running Homeostatic regulation allows you to determine if you need to drink more to keep normal sodium levels. Drinking too much water can cause hyponatremia, which is when your sodium levels drop, causing brain swelling and reduced brain blood flow. A genetic defect causing the oversecretion of hormones can cause you to drink too much. It is best for marathon runners to drink only when they feel thirsty. Dehydration is not a medical condition. Your body can maintain normal levels as long as you drink when needed. 7 Powerful Quotes [17:02] ‘The answer is we got to go back to eating what the Maoris were eating, or the Australian Aborigines. [T]hey were eating fish and other foods from the land.' — Professor Tim Noakes  [21:34] ‘We're designed to eat animal produce, which is digested in the small bowel. That's how we evolved, and that allowed us to get our hips to narrow. That allowed us to start running because our knees came closer together; we could run more effectively. And then we became bigger hunters. And that then helped us evolve further.' — Professor Tim Noakes [26:07] ‘I do a lot of strength work and yoga and things like that to balance things out. I feel a ton healthier — day and night healthy. I can manage my weight much better. I was fatter when I was running the distances.' — Lisa Tamati [28:26] ‘I do an hour or two twice a week, and it's 40 minutes really odd but really, really odd. Then I came to complement that with some running, but that's what I need. I've bulked up. I've put on five kilograms of muscle at the age of 72. I'm lifting weights that I could never even consider when I was younger.' — Professor Tim Noakes [29:40] ‘I was having spasms 10 times a day. Then I started doing CrossFit and I worked my way up. Now it's been years without a single spasm. I do not have back pain and I have a very, very strong core. And I work on the core and I maintain it because the back injury is still there but I don't have any issues.' — Lisa Tamati [44:41] ‘He wrote to me about four years ago and says to me, “I've just read your book, and I changed my diet.” And he said, “I wish I'd been eating this diet all my life.”'— Professor Tim Noakes [49:28] ‘You don't need to be told when to drink. Your body will tell you when to drink. So you just drink to thirst, and that's absolutely what is the case. You drink to thirst, and you'll be fine.' — Professor Tim Noakes About Professor Noakes Professor Tim Noakes is an author and researcher focusing on sports and exercise science. Alongside Morné du Plessis, he helped found the Sports Science Institute of South Africa. There, they expanded the limits of research for sports science and encouraged interest in the field.  Professor Noakes' book, Lore of Running, is often considered the bible of running. His other book, Waterlogged, talks about his research on exercise-associated hyponatremia. Professor Noakes has published over 750 scientific books and articles and has won multiple awards for his contributions to sports science.  Learn more about Professor Tim Noakes by visiting The Noakes Foundation. Summary Brian Mayer discusses her needs and his needs in this two part series.  It is true that often women desire to be loved and men desire to be respected.  But what do those two things actually mean. We will talk about this today so that you can start giving more of what your spouse really needs in your relationship.  We hope you are inspired by today's message.  For more information and additional resources please visit our website at http://www.theremarriedlife.com Today's Goodies It is often said that a woman's biggest need in a relationship is love and a man's biggest need in a relationship is respect. So for purposes of our two part series on this subject, we are going to go with the premises that this true.  The funny thing is though that it sometimes is hard to give one when we are not receiving the other. So if a man does not feel respect he probably won't love and if a woman does not feel loved she probably won't show respect.  In today's episode, we will be spending time with the females and talking about this love need. This love and respect need is detailed in a book called Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs if you want to read more on that. Apparently the backbone of the books premise was created by asking the following question to both men and women. “What would you choose, to be left alone and unloved or feel inadequate and disrespected by everyone?”  Most women said they would rather feel inadequate and disrespected than to be left alone and unloved. So as you know I always like to return to the dictionary to understand what is love. Love is “an intense feeling of deep affection.”  Alone means “that one one else is present.”  It is hard to know from where this deep sense that love is more important to a woman. Is it something that is hard wired in?  Is it something that has developed over time through the centuries?  That is certainly a hard question to answer but most likely the answer probably is both.  Let's talk about some of the ways women feel loved the most in a relationship. So men may need to listen up here!  Showing Love through words, touch, or actions. This is different for different women and so identifying which one is critical. Feeling safe. This is another very important way in which a women may feel love.  The safety not only means safe from criminals or people that might hurt her, but safe to be vulnerable and open without fear.  It can also mean feeling safe in a loyal monogamous relationship whether there is no other romantic partner.  It can also mean safe from alcohol, drug abuse or domestic violence.  Feeling Like An Equal. This one can be tough for men because sometimes men want to make decisions and be responsible for them.  But this can sometimes come across as controlling.  Feeling Appreciated. She wants to be appreciated for the things she does for her husband and family.  All too often men can get complacent and feel like there does not have to be thanks given for everyday things that a women does.  Being There for Her. This can mean listening when she is venting.  It means sometimes dropping what you are doing to go do something with her that she finds important.  Being Vulnerable for Her. This one can also be difficult for men in that we can often want to play Superman because we feel like if we aren't seen as perfect then we don't measure up.  But generally the opposite is true in that imperfection, often endears us to our partner.  We hope that this gives some ideas on what would help a woman feel loved and I am sure for the women listening today there are probably items on the list you might disagree with or even others that you would want to add. When my friend Zach over at Scribe Media hit me up and asked if I’d like to interview the former CEO of Chipotle, I said heck ya, that sounds awesome. I’d love to talk to someone who’s helped build a business that I eat at all the time, and that’s currently valued at $38 billion dollars. But this interview with Monty Moran, turned out to be so much more… As you’re about to find out, Monty is one of the best conscious leaders in the world. I think we all naturally stereo-type people to some degree. Well Monty began his career as an attorney, but he ran and grew his law firm in a completely different way than you’d expect. Then he became the CEO of Chipotle, and he ran and grew the company in a completely different way that you’d expect. And today he is flying around American on a mission to heal the divide that’s been created in this country, in a completely different way than you’d expect. And he’s done all of this, but the age of 50. If Monty were running for President of the United States, this man would get my vote in a heartbeat, which is why I asked him what he would do in order to turn the country, and our culture around. I am going to remember and reference this interview for years to come, and I think you will as well. Please help me welcome, Monty Moran. Resources: Love is Free. Connection & Consistency with Erica Castner The work we put in every day and the relationships we build both play a significant role in how we find success. If you believe that your vision, mission, and purpose are bigger than you, you must find the courage to reach out to people and offer the help you can give. In return, you will receive the help you need when the time comes. It's a long game, and you have to consistently show up. This doesn't just apply to your business ventures but in everything you do. In this episode, Erica Castner joins us to talk about her work as a brand strategist and how relationships contribute to your brand. She also shares her podcasting experience and gives us insightful advice on how to reach out to people and build networks. Erica and I also chat about her marriage and how they're training for the Ironman triathlon. Don't miss this episode if you wish to learn more about connecting with people and being consistent in everything you do! Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode: Learn about Erica's work and how she helps her clients. Discover her purpose in creating the Love the Work You Do podcast. Erica shares how she and her husband continue to challenge themselves as a couple. Grab your copy now! Episode Highlights COVID-19 Check-in with Erica Fortunately, Erica and her husband are not infected by COVID-19. The pandemic affected her goals for the year, but it also opened up opportunities. Erica hopes that we all do our part to make things work and get through this health crisis. Despite having to do things virtually, the pandemic has given many of us the time and opportunity to connect with more people and further explore our relationships. Erica's Work as a Brand Strategist She guides her clients about the ins and outs and the emotional soul of their business. Erica aligns her clients' vision, mission, and purpose with other people to form relationships that will breathe life into their brand. Similarly, her brand has also evolved since she started. She now knows that she needs other people to make things happen. The only way you'll know how your brand lives and breathes is if you get in there and do something with it. Before Becoming a Brand Strategist Erica has always been on the development side of businesses. In the retail space, her job was to make sure the staff handled the customers with care. After moving to Florida, she was in the service-based industry. Her work revolves around helping people understand their customers' needs and how to deliver those. The Love the Work You Do Podcast She launched the podcast in November. Not everyone is a good fit for her services. That said, Erica believes the biggest gift she can give to people is to meet them where they're at in their journey by providing information, inspiration, and encouragement through her show. Her favorite thing about podcasting is having guests over and learning from their stories and journey. Do what you need to do until you can form systems. Then, find the people who can support your vision, mission, and purpose. Reaching Out to People According to Erica, she was only able to accomplish her goals because she reached out to people. Taking the time to learn and be curious about others served her well. She used to be very introverted. Working in retail, Erica can put on the charm and talk to people because she knows customers are interested. It was different for service-based businesses. You need to put yourself out there to succeed. Listen to the full episode to hear Erica's tips on how to navigate in-person networking! Erica's Marriage Erica and her husband Ed have been married for over seven years. They met in a networking event back in 2011. They were both previously married. After they both got divorced, Erica and Ed attended an event together for her work, where some people thought they were a couple. The week after the event, he sent her a message asking to talk, and the rest is history. Her husband is an insurance agent. Making Relationships Work Early in their relationship, they decided that it's not their job to make each other happy. It's our job to show up and make ourselves happy. It's not right to put all the pressure on your partner, whether it's about happiness or household concerns. Challenge yourself as a couple to do something epic every year. Listen to the full episode to learn about Erica and Ed's goals! Training Together for the Ironman Triathlon As a couple, they wanted to challenge their abilities, so they committed to participating in a marathon. After the marathon, their next goal is to join the Ironman Triathlon. Erica figured they need the guidance of someone who knows what they're doing. They found a team to train with, and she went from not knowing how to swim to swimming outdoors with dolphins. Listen to the full episode to learn more about their adventures while training for Ironman! Advice for Women Who Are Suffering Many of us have a tendency to make excuses. We need to step up to the plate and make decisions based on how we feel instead of blaming our circumstances. Ask yourself what you can control in the moment. 5 Powerful Quotes from this Episode “Don't get good; get done.” “I feel like the biggest gift that I could give people is giving them real-time examples and giving them like information where they're at.” “You do what you do until you can form the systems, and then you find the people that can support your vision and mission and purpose. “[In] any aspect of your life… If you just make the decision that you're going to move towards that goal, and you just show up every day and attempt to do something towards it, something freakin' magnificent will happen.” “We are grown people; we can step up to the plate and make decisions based on how we feel about things. And if we're letting outside circumstances dictate how we're showing up, we're doing wrong.” About Erica Erica Castner is the founder of Castner Consulting & Coaching. For over two decades, she has helped leaders increase their influence and impact, allowing them to be more purposeful and productive. Summary Brian Mayer talks to author and life coach Elizabeth Lewis about dating again.  Learn practical tip and things to watch out for especially if it has been a few years since you last dated.  Topics like sex and also internet dating are among many topics we tackle on today's episode.  We hope you enjoy today's message.  For more information and additional resources please visit our website at http://www.theremarriedlife.com Today's Goodies If you are divorced or widowed and not yet back into a solid relationship, then this episode is for you.  Dating has certainly changed over the last few years especially in the realm of online dating.  In her new book called First Date, Next Mate: Perspectives in Dating The Next Time Around, Elizabeth Lewis talks about what inspired her to write the book.  Namely, her time jumping back in to the dating world after the passing of her husband.  She learned a lot from her own experience and wanted to make sure the same mistakes aren't made by others. She spends some time walking through the internet dating world and give some really helpful tips like making sure your picture is not many years old and that it is appropriately showcasing you and not others for example.  Elizabeth discusses what she calls the 5 stages of dating that we all go through if a relationships lasts long enough.  They are:  The Spark, Date and Learn, Deeper Dating, Solid and Real, and The Long Term Commitment.  So it isn't just about what I call The Honeymoon and The Settling In Period as we have been led to believe for so long.  Elizabeth talks a lot about sex as well.  Of course if you are a Christian, then sex after marriage is really the preferred way to go.  The bottom though as she mentions and she even says the number one reason in her opinion that next time relationships don't work out is having sex too soon.  She even quoted some very interesting research including that something like 90% of relationships in which sex happens in the first 30 days ends up not working out.    Resources: Love and Laughter Life Coaching   First Date, Next Mate: Perspectives in Dating The Next Time Around Thanks For Listening! Mentoring can sometimes be a difficult process - especially when it comes to sensitive topics like marriage. How can we best help our friends when they come to us expressing marital conflict? How can we learn to benefit from that same process ourselves, the next time we face challenges in our own relationships? Whether you’re a man or a woman, married or single, you’ll want to listen to this episode about how to help your friends, and how to continually improve your own marriage, by focusing on what we ourselves can do (whether as husband or wife) to better meet the others’ needs. In this episode, I interviewed MacKenzie Price, a trained mentor and lay-counselor who has years of experience helping women recognize the value of living with intentionality in their relationships and creating lives that match their stated priorities. MacKenzie and I discussed: The unique challenges women face in getting good advice about relationships Why marriages can quickly become a lower priority (and how to do something about it) The value of Socratic questions in helping people recognize the danger they are in What’s most important to husbands? (the answer may surprise you) The one thing that can’t be neglected for a healthy marriage (this answer won’t surprise you) Knowing when a mentee is ready for real growth, and how to respond when they aren’t The downsides of offering “blind support” and why it’s worth the confrontation I hope you enjoy our conversation about the purpose in the process of mentoring a marriage! MacKenzie Price is passionate about helping women see the value of living with intentionality in their relationships and creating lives that match up with their stated priorities. With a husband of 15 years and two daughters, she understands how hard juggling family, work and life in general can be, so she strives to help people create a full and vibrant life that goes beyond just getting by. Always up for conversation and adventure, she does work with personal development trainings through Reinvent Ministries, college mentorship with CRU, lay counseling with Women of Care and leads women’s study groups focusing on marriage, parenting, and Bible study.   MacKenzie has a B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University and began her career in software marketing and sales, then spent 17 years building a successful mortgage business from which she retired in 2018. She also hosted a weekly segment on Austin’s TWC News called On the Town. Passionate about education, MacKenzie helped build Alpha, a cutting-edge school for K-12 in Austin, TX. She has made her home in Austin, TX since 1998, but her favorite getaway is a trip to the mountains for some great skiing or hiking. You can find and follow MacKenzie on Instagram @mackenziep18, and on Facebook @mackenzielarsonprice. This time around we’re chatting with Gilbert Bates, author of a book I stumbled across earlier this year called “Love and the Three Levels of Consciousness”. Gil has authored a couple other books on similar themes, but this is the one that we focus on for the purpose of this conversation. The book is about the three levels of the brain, the brainstem, the limbic system and the prefrontal cortex, and how early emotional trauma is registered as a painful sensation in the lower brain, the brainstem. The need to repress this pain from conscious awareness leads to a disconnection between the cognitive brain and the social and emotional brain. Gil posits that the disconnection between these three distinct levels as well as the lack of essential input from the deeper sensing/feeling brain areas are the root cause of nearly all mental illness, and the reason why humans have so much trouble relating to each other in loving ways. We also talk a bit about how to heal ourselves with primal therapy, which is a therapeutic theory and process invented by Dr. Arthur Janov that’s designed to take a subject deep into their social and emotional brain and clear out the traumas that affect us all in some form or another. This book gave me some feels that I hadn’t felt before, and you’ll find out why during the course of our chat here. So let’s cast this pod off into the depths of our primal feel spot, where behind all those painful skeletons lies the uncoiled serpent they’ve been desperately trying to keep you away from. Today’s guest, Jane Zarse, is the author of Love and Compassion Is My Religion: A Beginner's Book into Spirituality. The book is a guide to finding your spiritual self – no matter how much you've lost yourself. It's a guide on how to find your way back. “Spirituality saved me, so I felt compelled to pass that on.” Jane fought bulimia and drank to excess after graduating from Boston University, then worked first as an actress and later as a high-volume trader at Chicago's Options Exchange. She lacked compassion for others, but didn’t realize why until much later. Jane lacked compassion because she didn’t really love herself. Spirituality helped her embrace authentic self love – the desire to take care of yourself, even when it requires a tremendous amount of sacrifice. Jane was first introduced to spirituality in Alcoholics Anonymous, which was actually disconcerting at first. She didn’t know if it was religion or what was going on, but she knew she didn’t want to drink herself to death. She learned to tap into something bigger than her, and that helped. “I was sick and tired of being sick and tired for years, but nothing changed until I was sick and tired enough to be willing to do something about it.” These principles can be applied to anyone who feels stuck. Be honest – You can’t fix anything you won’t acknowledge. Find hope – Hope can produce positive results in your life. Pray – Jane believes in the power of prayer. “You have to first admit you’re immersed in the quicksand before you can conceptualize a way out.” You can’t live a good life with a bad attitude, whether you find a good attitude through hope, a higher power, meditation, or the people you surround yourself with. Jane shares a powerful journey about getting unstuck and bringing herself up from rock bottom to a place where she has authentic self love through spirituality. Jane’s book is an excellent starting point for others interested in beginning their own spiritual journeys.     Resources: Love and Compassion Is My Religion: A Beginner's Book into Spirituality Interested in learning more about how I can help you through coaching?  Find out more at www.johnharrisoncounseling.com/individual-coaching/   Production & Development for True Calling Project by Podcast Masters
