The first step in understanding the nature of our material world can be found in the ritualistic practices of indigenous people.  Native Americans would expose sand on a taught buckskin to rhythmic chants and drums, while the particles danced to a geometric still-point. Australian Aborigines produced similar effects with the didgeridoo, and Tibetan Buddhists did the same with their wind instrument known as the dungchen. Harmonic patterns (Cymatics) are the proving ground for what has eluded Western "Science" in its quest for answering the most basic of questions, "what makes the material universe tick"? The profundity underlying these simple & observable truths is that human consciousness produces resonant patterns with every thought, emotion & deed! We're excited to host Ana Maria Oliva on this special Alfacast to help us unpack what our distant ancestors knew regarding pattern recognition and the Natural Order from a contemporary context of 'Information - Energy - Matter'. Ana Maria is the perfect guide for this exploratory discussion.  Here's just a few of Ana Maria's credentials: Mom of twins, industrial mechanical engineer, master inBiomedical Engineering (extraordinary award ) from the University of Barcelona, PhD Biomedicine (Study of the effects of electric fields on cells), 5 years working in the NanoBioEngineering Lab and Microbiology Lab, with a 20 year history of teaching at different levels.  She has clinical experience with 10.000+ patients, while working in the most-awarded clinic in Europe.  Ana Maria has additionally been involved in "science for consciousness" conferences spanning 16 some countries, published 5 books, and created the Living University of Terrain and the EscuelasVivas.    This one is not to be missed, as our conversation is sure to deliver a good number of eye-openers, as we traverse many fascinating topics. IN THIS EPISODE: Zombies are everywhere in pop culture – films, television, gaming, memes, etc. It's all obviously make-believe, but is it possible for an actual zombie apocalypse to take place in the real world? (Could a Zombie Apocalypse Really Happen?) *** Did our ancestors fight and survive an ancient zombie apocalypse? Can a zombie apocalypse really happen, and if it does, what are our chances of survival? (Zombie Apocalypse in Ancient And Modern Times) *** The idea of a zombie apocalypse has been a fascinating topic of horror films, television, and print ever since George Romero's “Night of the Living Dead” in 1968. But it's complete fiction, of course. Right? If so, why does the Pentagon have a plan for it, just in case? (CONOP 8888: The Pentagon's Plan For a Zombie Apocalypse) *** He appears as a man or skeleton or described as a shadow, often atop a cart for collecting the dead. Other versions have it that he is the first dead person of the year, charged with collecting the others' souls before he can go to the afterlife. He is said to drive a large, black coach pulled by four black horses; accompanied by two ghostly figures on foot. He is known as Ankou. (Ankou: Deliverer Of Souls To The Underworld) *** They were described as flat-nosed with wide nostrils; thick eyebrows and sunken eyes.  Their mouths were of ‘prodigious width' with thick lips and prominent jaws.  The Australian Aborigines regarded them as another people entirely – they called them the Yowies. (The Australian Yowie) *** Shadow people seem to be a growing phenomenon. But what are they, what do they want? And most importantly – how do you get away from one? (What You Should Know About Shadow People) *** A little girl's imaginary friend appears to her mother as shadows in the basement. (My Imaginary Friend) *** The story of the Detroit “Occult Murders” is one of the strangest in American crime. It's a story of black magic, murder, and a clever and enterprising man who came to Detroit with a strange dream. (The Detroit Occult Murders) *** It's been described as part kangaroo, part horse, part bat, part bird, part reptile… what exactly is the Jersey Devil? (Unmasking The Jersey Devil) *** Why have so many classical composers died upon composing their ninth symphony? (The Curse of the Ninth Symphony) *** The RMS Queen Mary is now retired – but it appears some of its passengers and crew never got the message. (Ghosts Of The Queen Mary) *** Could the imaginary friend of a brother and sister not be their imagination? (My Great Grandparents' Home) *** In the 1600's, a witchfinder was given whatever he asked for, for fear of him declaring those who refused a witch. But how he chose to test one woman for witchcraft is enough to make your stomach turn. *** A young couple discover a radio… with a mind of its own. *** A strange ball of light enters the room of a young man, with no explanation to be found. *** Sheldwich is typical of the small rural hamlets which litter Kent, but in some ways, is far more unique and strange, one could almost say, weird.SOURCES AND REFERENCES FROM THE EPISODE…“Zombie Apocalypse In Ancient And Modern Times – How Realistic Is An Infectious Disease Outbreak?”: http://ow.ly/lGOV30a5tLr and “Mysterious Skulls Linked To An Ancient Zombie Apocalypse”:http://ow.ly/C08v30a5uR7“Could A Zombie Apocalypse Really Happen?” by Brent Swancer: https://mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/05/could-a-zombie-apocalypse-really-happen/“CONOP 8888: The Pentagon's Plan For a Zombie Apocalypse” by Wyatt Redd: https://allthatsinteresting.com/conop-8888“What You Should Know About The Shadow People”: http://alien-ufo-sightings.com/2018/08/what-you-should-know-about-shadow-people/“Ankou: Deliverer Of Souls To The Underworld” by A. What is the Firmament of Day 2?

Updated April 15, 2021: This topic of the "firmament" is also of great interest to atheists. A popular anti-creationist made a 40-minute YouTube video critical of this article. We may have hit a nerve. A favorite claim of many atheists is that the Bible teaches that the earth is surrounded by a solid domed sky. Instead, the Bible actually teaches that the firmament of Day Two is the crust of the earth, which divided water below the crust from the waters on the surface. Documenting this thereby rebuts that widespread false allegation. When we first published this article, that extra bonus was unexpected. So we've embedded and responded to Brett Palmer's video including by pointing out that the Babylonian creation epic, Enuma Elish, below, corroborates this understanding of the "firmament" as first referring to the earth's crust (i.e., biblically, to paradise, to heaven on earth). And we show that the Bible's Hebrew word for firmament, raqia, from the verb raqa, refers not only to the heavens above, but explicitly, to the crust of the earth. And we present the meaning of the Syrian geographical place name, Raqqa, and extend to antiquity the etymology of the English word, rock. At Real Science Radio (which airs on America's most-powerful radio station), we teach Dr. Walt Brown's Hydroplate Theory as the best understanding of the global flood, geology and the relevant scriptures. If the following is correct, all flood models based on the "canopy theory" and "plate tectonics" are false. On Day Two God Made the Crust of the Earth: Dr. Walt Brown's Hydroplate Theory helps to understand the global flood, geology and the relevant scriptures. On Day Two of creation, God formed the crust of the earth, called the firmament (Hebrew: raqia), which extended for miles above a worldwide subterranean ocean, and the crust of course also held waters upon its surface. If this is true, we would expect to read in the Bible that initially, the surface of the earth was covered only with water, and that then God made the earth's crust above the water. And consistent with the Hydroplate Theory (which describes a layer of water at least one-mile thick that was perhaps dozens of miles below the earth's surface), in fact the Bible teaches that God: - "In the beginning God created... the earth. ...and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:1-2). Then God, - "laid out (raqa) the earth above the waters" (Psalm 136:6). And, - "by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth [was] standing out of water and in the water" (2 Peter 3:5). - "Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament" (Gen. 1:7). So, "The earth is the Lord's... For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters" (Ps.24:1-2). Where the Water Came From: The global flood then began when those "fountains of the great deep were broken up" (Gen. 7:11) for the pre-flood earth had been "standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water" (2 Peter 3:5-6). Those waters had been stored up for global judgment if needed. For when "the heavens were made," the Bible says of much of the Earth's water back then that God "lays up the deep in storehouses" (Ps. 33:6-7; see also Prov. 8:27-28). For God created not only the surface waters, for He "made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters" (Rev. 14:7 KJV [as with many versions; some like the NKJV say "springs of water"). Dr. Brown's book, In the Beginning, demonstrates powerfully that the world's major geologic features flow logically from these initial conditions. But some creationists who disagree point out that, "God called the firmament Heaven" (Gen. 1:8), claiming that this firmament must be either the atmosphere (e.g., Henry Morris) or outer space (e.g., Russell Humphreys). Heaven on Earth, Hell Beneath: However at RSR we show that, whether figurative or literal, the crust of the earth is the boundary between heaven and hell. It is consistent with Biblical history that God would originally call the crust of the earth "heaven." For at creation, "He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness. The pillars of heaven tremble (Job 26:10-11). And then, "He divideth (not raqa but raga) the sea with his power" (Job 26:12 KJV, Jubilee, Websters, etc.). God designated the region below the crust as the initial abode of those who may pass away. Hell is the holding prison for the unrepentant dead. "Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming" (Isa. 14:9; etc.). For the newly-made earth, the Lord logically referred to everything from the crust and above as heaven. Hence dozens of verses indicate that heaven also refers to the earth's atmosphere as in "rain from heaven," the "dew of heaven," "birds of heaven," "dust from the heaven," city walls "fortified up to heaven," smoke rises "to the midst of heaven," "the heavens are shut" in drought, "frost of heaven," "clouds of heaven," "snow from heaven," "hail from heaven," and the east winds "blow in the heavens." Thus even after the Fall, from Genesis and Job, through the Gospels, Acts and Revelation, the Bible continued to refer to the atmosphere, one molecule above the ground, as heaven. Apart from this understanding, a Bible student might think that while the surface of the Moon is in "heaven", that the paradise God made on the surface of the Earth is not. Also, the Bible's thirty-two occurrences of the phrase "kingdom of heaven" appear only in the royal Gospel of Matthew, and some of these (Mat. 11:12; 13:24 with Mat. 13:38; 16:19; Mat. 18:1 with Luke 9:46; etc.) locate this kingdom of "heaven" at least partially on earth. Lucifer Fell from Heaven on Earth: "God called the firmament Heaven," because the earth's crust formed the boundary between heaven and the future hell. The firmament also divided the waters of the earth (Gen. 1:2, 6) which even reserved the floodwaters of judgment below ground. For God "lays up the deep in storehouses" so "let all the earth fear the Lord," (Ps. 33:7-8), because He "shut in the sea with doors" until in the flood "it burst forth and issued from the womb," (Job. 38:8). But after the Fall, which likely occurred within a week of Creation, earth lost its heavenly designation, for apparently God will never fully replicate the first earth. Only two detailed Bible stories involve happenings that occured prior to the Fall, the creation account and the record of Lucifer's fall. And both of these events refer to earth as heaven. Isaiah 14:12 describes "Lucifer" as "fallen from heaven," yet Scripture places him on earth at the moment of his fall. "You were in Eden, the garden of God," (Ezek. 28:13). And "you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds," (Isa. 14:13-14). "Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit," (Isa. 14:15). Even though he was on earth, Lucifer fell "from heaven," because prior to the Fall, the surface of the earth was part of heaven's realm. * Bible Students Understand the Firmament, But Get Confused at 1:8: See this explained in this five-minute segment, in our 2-hour flood video, that begins at 48:30. Just click and the video will start at the correct point... Consider the flesh. Notice that just as gravity pulls our physical flesh down toward the center of the earth, the Fall created the world system which relentlessly pulls our spiritual flesh, drawing us down toward the lowest depths until death, and then the believer's released spirit soars upward to heaven, whereas the unbeliever's unfettered spirit falls downward, the firmament no longer keeping him out of Hades, thus his soul plummets into hell. C.S. Lewis wrote the preface to D.E. Harding's esoteric The Hierarchy of Heaven & Earth in which Harding wrote that "Hierarchy is... something like the ancient circles of heaven and earth and hell" (1952, p. 27), and that the "narrowest Hell would be widest Heaven if the Devil could only bring himself to turn round and look out from the Centre instead of in at himself" (p. 187). In the modern classic, Soul of Science, (1994, p. 38), Pearcey and Thaxton describe the view of Christian "medieval cosmology" that "at the very center of the universe was Hell, then the earth, then (moving outward from the center) the progressively nobler spheres of the heavens." Christians continue to affirm this hierarchy quoting Paul who was "caught up to the third heaven" (2 Cor 12:2), the first being the sky, the second is space, and the third God's habitation. King David even refers to the deep, as the "channels of the sea", where in the flood "the foundations of the world were uncovered", which were "the foundations of heaven" (2 Sam. 22:8, 16). Incidentally, the never-before-seen consequences of the flood caused the troubles David lists here. The lightnings, thunder, dark waters, thick clouds, darkness, volcanic eruptions, smoke, coal and fire, the earth shaking, and when the "channels of the sea appeared" only then the "foundations of the world were uncovered..." Moses Qualified His Last Four Uses of Firmament: Moses used the word firmament nine times in the creation account. He intentionally distinguished the last four occurrences from the first four, which all pivot around the central instance where God called the earth's firmament Heaven. Each of the four in the second grouping (Genesis 1:14, 15, 17, 20) is qualified separately by an exceptional repetition. The prepositional phrase "of the heavens" makes a distinction between the first firmament of the earth, and the second "firmament of the heavens." And if firmament means the "heavens," the very term "firmament of the heavens" would seem unnecessarily redundant, especially when repeated four times. However, the qualifier "of the heavens" is added so that the reader will not confuse this firmament of sky and space with the previous firmament of earth. Thus, readers alien to the notion of "heaven" on earth should nonetheless be able to separate the two firmaments, and understand God's meaning. Now, millennia after the Fall, God's own record of creation notwithstanding, sin has almost completely obscured the original perspective of the earth's surface as "heaven." The Things God Called Day and Earth: "God called the light Day." Yet like with the word firmament, Genesis has two very different meanings for light. Day 4 would be unintelligible without recognizing its initial meaning. "Then God made two great Days to rule the heavens"? No. The same is true for the dry land that "God called... Earth". If it had only one meaning, then the Earth would have been created on Day Two when the "Earth" appeared. Our Full Firmament Video: Above we pointed to a five-minute excerpt. Here's the full 30-minute segment out of our Global Flood video on raqia titled, Is the Day 2 firmament of Genesis the Earth's crust?: Kingdom of Heaven Lost on Earth: When man rebelled, earth became more like hell than heaven. Thus man's habitation on the surface of the earth lost its heavenly designation. The Bible describes Hell as below, bounded by the firmament. However in the beginning "God called the firmament Heaven" because that's where He placed Adam and Eve, above ground on the surface, in the heavens, in fellowship with Him, not in any other realm but in His kingdom, in heaven on earth. 2011 UPDATE - Atheists and the Solid Dome: YouTube anti-creationist Brett Palmer created a 40-minute rebuttal video (embedded here) of this little article on the firmament. Seems like we hit a nerve. Aside from Brett casting aspersions from the recently invented flat-earth myth, consider that as with many other atheists, he claims that the word firmament (Hebrew raqia) discredits the creation account by showing that Genesis cannot be God's Word because it merely echoes the ancient world's false belief in a solid domed sky above the earth. So, if raqia (firmament) refers not only to the heavens, but also to the crust of the earth, standing above a subterranean chamber of water, then atheists would lose a favorite argument. Raqia is the noun from the verb raqa meaning being hammered or spread out, as in working metal into a thin sheet or plate. "They beat (raqa) the gold into thin sheets" (Exodus 39:3). "The goldsmith overspreads (raqa) it with gold" (Isaiah 40:19; i.e., gold-plated). Similarly, God overspread the waters of the earth with the plates of the earth's crust, i.e., the firmament, what Walt Brown calls hydroplates. For "God made the firmament (raqia), and divided the waters which were under the firmament (raqia, the crustal plates) from the waters which were above the firmament" (Genesis 1:7). Please review again the verses listed below. For not only did God create "the sea and the fountains" (Rev. 14:7), if this understanding of raqia is is the Bible's actual meaning, then we would expect also to read that initially the surface of the earth was covered only with water, and that then God made the earth's crust above the water: - "In the beginning God created... the earth. ...darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." Gen. 1:1-2 - God "laid out the earth above the waters" Ps. 136:6- "by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water" 2 Pet. 3:5 - "Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament." Gen. 1:7 "The earth is the Lord's... For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters." Ps. 24:1-2 When the Bible specifically links raqa to the earth (as in the passages below), and because words typically have multiple meanings, it is extreme to insist that raqia cannot refer to anything but the heavens. Genesis was written back when pagans wondered what held up the earth. Perhaps it rested on the back of a tortoise, or on a pillar, or was held up by Atlas. Yet the most ancient Scripture teaches that God, "hangs the earth on nothing" (Job 26:7), which is visually consistent with modern astronomical observation. For just as the firmament of the earth holds up the mountains, so too, the firmament "of the heavens" is strong enough to hold the earth.God Raqa the EARTH! Firmament (raqia) is used "of the heavens" commonly and eleven times the Bible speaks of God stretching out the heavens. Then there is something not included in the above video. Another three times the Bible says that God raqa the earth itself. This shows, unlike as stressed on YouTube, that raqia very naturally also refers to the earth. Dr. Walt Brown's book lists these verses but I'll repeat them here for Mr. Palmer's consideration: To Him who laid out (raqa) the earth above the waters… Ps. 136:6 Thus says God the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth (raqa) the earth and that which comes from it… Isa. 42:5 “I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad (raqa) the earth by Myself;" Isa. 44:24 The firmament (raqia) of the creation account was iconic in ancient Israel, as the Tyndale Bible Dictionary says, "the firmament is always related to Creation." So the repetition and by two authors shows that the wording is deliberate. Thus these verses show an ancient awareness in Scripture that God raqa the Earth, that is, that His stretching out of the raqia of Genesis 1:8 readily refers to terra firma, or as the King James translators coined the word from the Latin, the firmament. Raqia and Heaven Both Refer Also to the Earth Raqa the Earth Heaven on Earth To Him who laid out (raqa) the earth above the waters...  Ps. 136:6 "He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness. The pillars of heaven tremble... He stirs up the sea with His power..." Job 26:10-12 Thus says God the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth (raqa) the earth...  Isa. 42:5 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." Mat. 11:12; "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;" and "the field is the world..." Mat. 13:24, 38 I am the Lord... who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad (raqa) the earth by Myself  Isa. 44:24 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" Mat. 16:19 [and 18:18] Etymology of Raqia: The word raqia relates to raqa as sharia (law) relates to shara'a (to ordain or decree). Further, the ancient Middle East commonly ended names in "ia," and in this particular example of early Hebrew usage, raqia, though not a proper name, is the name for something created by raqa. (Atheist Brett Palmer, though not especially reliable, does specifically agree with this explanation in his follow-up video.) Pillars of Heaven: Regarding the crust of the Earth being referred to as heaven, consider the "pillars" which formed beneath the crust, as Dr. Brown describes it, at many "locations, the [subterranean] chamber's sagging ceiling pressed against the chamber's floor. These solid contacts will be called pillars." Thus since they supported the Earth's surface, they could be referred to as "pillars of heaven", just beneath the surface, which would "tremble" when they were crushed in God's judgment of the great flood of Noah's day, When God, "stirs up the sea with His power", as Job put it. "He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness. The pillars of heaven tremble... He stirs up the sea with His power..." (Job 26:10-12). Earth's Foundation with Pillars Sunk into their Bases: This doesn't have to confuse Bible students. This five-minute segment at 1:04:22 depicts the pillars. Just click and the video will start at the correct point... * No One Before Or Since? Palmer says, virtually alleging omniscience for himself, that "no one before or since Enyart has ever asserted that two firmaments were created in the creation story." However, the nearly contemporaneous Babylonian creation epic states directly that heaven above and the "firm ground below" were called by the same name, that is, "heaven." First though consider Google. The claim then is that the term firmament refers to sky and space, and also to the sphere of the world. So, as the originator of this concept :) that firmament has two meanings, I am gratified that it's catching on. The Google results for "define:firmament" gives two meanings: The heavens or the sky, esp. when regarded as a tangible thing A sphere or world viewed as a collection of people * Not Half Bad and Not Half Right: Hey, for Google, that's not half bad, for the firmament (the Earth's surface) was called heaven so that Adam and Eve could be fruitful and multiply and fill the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Then regarding Palmer's claim that, "no one before or since Enyart has ever asserted that two firmaments were created," Dr. Brown's book credits "two pastors" with showing him this simple heaven-on-earth understanding of Genesis 1:8. The pastor before me later publishing a book on the topic: Paradise: Past, Present, and Future, and of course since then, Walt Brown too has adopted this understanding. >* Babylonian Creation Epic: The ancient pagan world had a corrupted memory of biblical accounts. Compare for example Egypt's sun god arising out of the waters of creation with, "God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, 'Let there be light.'" Likewise the flood of Noah's day is remembered in Babylon's Epic of Gilgamesh. Also, the seven tablets of Enuma Elish similarities to the seven days of the creation week include man's creation on the sixth day which is presented on the sixth tablet. The first creation tablet describes the "waters commingling as a single body" when "no marsh land had [yet] appeared", reminiscent of the firmament dividing the waters (Gen. 1:6-7) and the dry land appearing (Gen. 1:9). The truth reported by Moses in Genesis 1:8a, that God called the firmament heaven (referring to the crust of the Earth, i.e., God's kingdom of heaven, on Earth) is emphasized in the first lines of the first Babylonian creation tablet which state, "When on high the heaven had not been named, Firm ground below had not been called by that name." That is, before the term "heaven" even applied to sky and space, before that not even the firmament below had yet been called that same name, i.e., heaven. (This translation, "firm ground below had not [yet] been called by that name", appears in old-earth Oxford Prof. John Lennox' book Seven Days that Divide the World. Importantly, after discussing this matter personally with Dr. Lennox, RSR can report that he does not agree with our Genesis 1:8 interpretation, so in no way would he publish a biased translation to make our point.) For as Moses wrote, "God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament... And God called the firmament Heaven... Then God said, '...let the dry land appear.'" So whereas atheist video maker Palmer (see above) says that "no one before or since Enyart has ever asserted that two firmaments were created in the creation story", Brett can now consider that this Babylonian Enuma Elish creation epic parallels the Hydroplate Theory's understanding of the firmament as referring also, and originally, to the "firm ground below" the heavens. And thus, because God raqa the Earth, by creating the raqia, that is, the solid rock crust of the Earth, therefore, the etymology of the English word rock can now be traced back much further than the medieval Latin rocca. Not surprisingly then, studying geography we find that root word in the names of various ancient places in the region. For example, in 2015 Raqqa hit the headlines as the capital city of the Islamic terrorist group ISIS. An accurate understanding of Genesis is essential for understanding early history. Thus we can now trace the etymology of our English word rock to that very Epic of Gilgamesh flood account, with Gilgamesh being the king of Uruk, located in the south of the modern nation with a name that means "deeply rooted, well-watered", for God placed the water deep under the raqia which explains the name of the ancient place, Iraq. (See also Bob's draft comments on the Enuma text.) * Countries, Regions, and Peoples Ending in A and IA: Why do so many place names end in ia? God raqa the raqia to give mankind a place to live on the face of the Earth. In the web's most complete list of place names that end in ia, see about 120 significant geographical regions that end with -a or -ia, and others that sound like they end in ia, like Kenya and Libya. (RSR maintains this list.) Consider also, not unlike the city of Raqqa and the country of Iraq, the continent of Africa may have a related etymology, and consider also that in Arabic afar means dust, earth. And the names of many lands that do not end in -ia, as Egypt, still give a nod to the suffix when referencing their people, as with Egyptian, Akkadian, Persian, and the more modern Caucasian, with -ian equating also to the -yan as discussed at rsr.org/yan such as Aryan (meaning from the Sun land).* Seven-Day Week: The worldwide use of a seven-day week results from the creation account. And those seven days are named for the heavenly bodies (Saturn, Sun, Moon, etc.) as God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years." (On a related topic we interviewed Scientific American editor and atheist Michael Shermer for Real Science Radio. That full show is so much fun to listen to.) "Dr. Shermer, while much of the ancient world was worshiping heavenly bodies, could you at least agree that the Bible is correct on page one, where it states that the Sun is a light?" [Moses was correct also when he taught in Deuteronomy that the planets and stars are not gods and should not be worshiped.] "So can you agree that the Bible is correct in Genesis chapter one, that the Sun is not a god, but a light?" To which Shermer infamously replied, which you can hear in this 73-second excerpt (and transcript) that the sun is not a light. Wow. It's often difficult to have a reasonable discussion with atheists. Also, the worldwide use of blood sacrifices resulted from God commanding Adam and Noah to sacrifice animals prefiguring the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. * A Solid Dome Sky Belief Widespread Yet Not Intuitive: As Wikipedia reports, "The notion of the sky as a solid object (rather than just an atmospheric expanse) was widespread among both ancient civilizations and primitive cultures, including ancient Greece, Egypt, China, India, native Americans, Australian Aborigines, and also early Christians. It is probably a universal human trait to perceive the sky as a solid dome." Retrieved 8-27-11. However, with the many varied movements in the heavens of the Sun, Moon, planets, stars, comets, and meteorites, it's not intuitive that so much of the whole world would end up believing that the Earth had a solid-domed sky. Except, of course, if the ancients who populated the world after the global flood were misunderstanding the raqia of Day Two as referring to the heavens instead of to the crust of the earth. Conclusion: So, the Bible speaks of Earth using the same term, raqia, as for the firmament "of the heavens" (clarified that way in Genesis 1). Yet when the paradise of Eden and God's Kingdom of Heaven on Earth became "filled with violence," mankind began to forget that God made earth as part of His Kingdom of heaven. Thus, what changed was the common use of the term heaven for the Earth. © 2007 - 2017 Bob Enyart, RSR.org.com * RSR's Global Flood and Hydroplate Theory: Here's our best-selling flood video which is available also on DVD, Blu-ray, and download. We hope you enjoy this: Email: From Walt Brown to Bob Enyart on March 22, 2005: "Dear Bob, I like your proposal concerning Genesis 1:8a, and after much thought, have decided to include it [in the 8th edition of In the Beginning]. I have credited Pastor Diego Rodriguez and you as the originators of this very attractive explanation. ... Thank you for sending me your explanation. -Walt" Biologos: Note that Francis Collins' theistic-evolution group BioLogos uses their misunderstanding of the firmament in their effort to diminish the authority of Genesis. For example, "Genesis... says things that are at odds with what modern people know to be true of the world... The other cosmologies from the ancient world depict some solid structure in the sky. The most natural explanation of the raqia is that it also reflects this understanding. There is no indication that Genesis is a novel description of the sky." In other words, Collins claims that Genesis' presentation of the firmament [in contrast to the biblical and historical insights above] equates to that of pagan myths. As old-earth Christians, they therefore reject the global flood and many other biblical teachings. This portion of the megalithic site called Pohnpaid was unknown even to Pohnpei's state historic preservation officer. The petroglyphs were unlike others from Oceania, so Nervig began investigating and comparing them with petroglyphs and symbols from around the world. In this fully illustrated exploration, Nervig documents her discoveries on Pohnpei, revealing how the archetypal symbols of the Pohnpaid petroglyphs have exact counterparts in other ancient cultures and universal motifs throughout the world, including the Australian Aborigines, the Inca in Peru, the Vedic civilization of India, early Norse runes, and Japanese symbols. She provides evidence that Pohnpaid is closely related to--yet predates--neighboring Nan Madol and shows how Pohnpaid was an outpost of the sunken Kahnihmueiso, a city of the now-vanished civilization of Mu, or Lemuria.Discussing the archaeoastronomical function of the Pohnpaid stones, the author examines how many of the glyphs symbolize celestial phenomena and clearly reveal how their creators were sky watchers with a sophisticated understanding of astronomy, geophysics, geomancy, and engineering. She shows how the scientific concepts depicted in the petroglyphs reveal how the citizens of Mu had a much deeper understanding of the living Earth than we do, which gave them the ability to manipulate natural forces both physically and energetically. Combining archaeological evidence with traditional oral accounts, Nervig reveals Pohnpaid not only as a part of a geodetic network of ancient sacred sites and portals but also as a remnant of the now submerged but once enlightened Motherland of Mu.Carole Nervig has spent more than four decades researching Micronesian traditional culture and oral history as well as the sacred sites of Micronesia and Hawai'i. Anchored by Truth from Crystal Sea Books - a 30 minute show exploring the grand Biblical saga of creation, fall, and redempti

Episode 183 – 10 Facts Every Christian Needs to Know 11 – Babel Then and Now Welcome to Anchored by Truth brought to you by Crystal Sea Books. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The goal of Anchored by Truth is to encourage everyone to grow in the Christian faith by anchoring themselves to the secure truth found in the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God. Script: And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, … now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, ... Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth. Genesis, chapter 11, verses 6 through 9, New King James Bible ******** VK: Hello! I’m Victoria K. Welcome to Anchored by Truth brought to you by Crystal Sea Books. We’re very glad to be with you today as we continue the series we started several weeks ago on Anchored by Truth. We are calling this series “10 Facts Every Christian Needs to Know.” In the studio today we have RD Fierro. RD is an author and the founder of Crystal Sea Books. Today we are going to cover the 9th of the 10 facts that we are discussing during this series. For any listeners who want to hear the discussion about any of the first 8 facts episodes of Anchored by Truth are all available on their favorite podcast app or from our website crystalseabooks.com. RD, can you give us a brief overview of what we have covered in this series to this point. RD: Well, I’d like to start by also saying hi to the listeners joining us here today and thanking everyone for their interest. As you just mentioned this series is all about giving listeners a solid factual foundation for being assured the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God. People need that today because so many of the narratives that circulate in our culture today not only don’t acknowledge the Bible as the word of God but they actively promote the fallacious notion that science, archeology, and history “disprove” the reliability of scripture. This notion is countered by the facts but frankly those facts won’t do anyone any good if they are not aware of them. In this series we want to highlight some those facts. So, the first 5 facts we covered demonstrated that the popular narratives of Deep Time, evolution, and uniformitarianism don’t possess nearly the quality of scientific support that they are normally assumed to possess. In short, these narratives aren’t trustworthy as a basis for forming a coherent worldview yet these narratives are often used as the basis for doing away with the need for God to explain the physical universe and life. Now, with fact number 6 we moved on to beginning our demonstration that the foundational book of the Bible, Genesis, is, in fact, a trustworthy foundation for our understanding of the universe, life, and human history. And that’s the theme we are continuing as we move through these last 5 of the 10 facts. We are showing that the most disputed book of the Bible, the book of Genesis, is a reliable record notwithstanding the many attacks that are hurled against it. VK: So, thus far, we saw from fact 6 that the available evidence demonstrates that Moses was the author of Genesis and the other 4 books of the Pentateuch – the name given to the first five books of the Bible. Why is it important that we know that Moses wrote Genesis? RD: Because it helps us date when Genesis was written. The traditional date assigned to Moses writing the Pentateuch is in the 15th century B.C. Many scholars place the composition starting around 1445 or 1446 BC which is the so-called “early date” for the start of the Hebrew exodus out of Egypt. But even the scholars like the supposed “late date” for the exodus would place the composition of the Pentateuch in the 13th century BC. VK: In other words Genesis and the other books of the Pentateuch were written about 3,500 years ago. So, it is a reasonable question to ask whether we have evidence from those 3,500 years of human history that we can point to as validating the record that Moses gave us. RD: And the answer to the question is a decided “yes.” So, we began our demonstration of the fact that the events described in the book of Genesis have left their imprint on today’s world with facts 7 and 8. Fact 7 was that there is not only geological and paleontological evidence the flood of Noah occurred as described by the Bible (which we covered with fact number 3) but also that there is geographic, historical, and linguistic evidence of the reliability of the text. Said slightly differently, there is considerable evidence that the names of Noah’s grandsons have been preserved in remarkable ways on at least 3 different continents – in the names of cities, regions, rivers, tribal names, and in languages. Fact 8 that every Christian needs to know is that the Biblical time periods and population sizes are far more reasonable when it comes to explaining the current size of the world’s human population than the alternatives that are commonly believed. We pointed out that to go from 3 reproducing couples to 7 to 8 Billion people in a period of 4,500 years you don’t need an outlandish population growth rate – one-half of one-percent a year will do it. VK: So, with facts 7 and 8 we can see that we can still see evidence all around us of the truth of the book of Genesis. You do need to know where to look but it’s not all that hard. And Genesis fits the world as we know it far better than the evolutionary and Deep Time alternatives. Last time we pointed out that if humans had been around for a million years, as the evolutionary hypothesis would have us believe, the current population of the earth is far smaller than would be expected. To explain this discrepancy those who support the evolutionary hypothesis say that famine, disease, plague, etc. simply kept the earth’s population greatly suppressed for most of our history. But this would mean the human population of the earth was literally on the brink of extinction for 99.9% of the time of its existence. That seems to be at odds with the idea that we are the “fittest” creature on the earth when it comes to survival. If we were so “fit” we should have been reproducing a lot more. RD: Yes. Genetic researchers have found by comparing DNA from different humans around the world that humans share roughly 99.9% of their genetic material. In other words humans, no matter where they live on the earth, are almost completely identical, genetically. Geneticists tell us that human beings exhibit very little polymorphism, or variation. VK: Polymorphism, as related to genomics, refers to the presence of two or more variant forms of a specific DNA sequence that can occur among different individuals or populations. Simply put, the absence of polymorphism means that a given cohort of living creatures displays very little difference genetically. Species that have existed for hundreds of thousands or millions of years would be expected to show some amount of polymorphism because mutation in individuals would gradually lead to perceivable differentiation. But studies of humans don’t show this. RD: The lack of a significant amount of polymorphism is consistent with a recent human origin. It is also consistent with a global flood where everyone on earth except for one family died. Evolutionary models of origins would not predict such low human genetic diversity. Mutations should have produced much more diversity than 0.1% over millions of years. Again, this means that pretty much the entire population of humans on the earth provides testimony to the accuracy of the first several chapters of Genesis. VK: Let’s remember that Moses wrote Genesis about 1400 years before Jesus lived. He would have had very little knowledge of civilizations and peoples outside of Egypt and Palestine. Yet far away from where he was writing people were living and developing in exactly the way we would expect if the account he was writing was true. We still see that today. The size of the earth’s population is consistent with a significant bottleneck that occurred about 4,500 years ago. Moreover, the names of nations, rivers, and even languages give testimony to the first generations that emerged from the ark after the flood waters receded. The lack of genetic diversity among human beings today testifies to a common ancestor. And as we have covered on other Anchored by Truth shows even the bit of DNA contained in human mitochondria gives evidence that people today can trace their ancestry back to 3 female ancestors. RD: So, we can demonstrate that Moses gave us an accurate record of the creation of the earth – and its subsequent destruction by a global flood – by taking a look at the current population of the entire earth. But we can also verify that the Bible’s description of what happened after the flood is also validated. Today, we want to consider the famous episode of God’s confusion of the language that occurred at Babel. So, the 9th fact that every Christian needs to know is that we see evidence of the Bible’s accuracy through the study of linguistics and languages. Let’s start this discussion by noting that it is not easy to study the differences or commonalities in languages. VK: Scholars often say that there are two major ways of classifying languages. All languages exhibit certain characteristics. They obey certain rules and constraints that apply to word order and other conventions. These rules are referred to as syntax. In addition, of course, all languages have vocabularies of their own. Each assigns meaning to particular sounds or collections of written symbols. In other words each language has its own vocabulary and its rules of grammar and syntax tell the users how to arrange that vocabulary to communicate. RD: And, interestingly enough, this construction pattern for language is innate in human beings. In his book, The Genesis Account, Dr. Jonathan Sarfati notes an instance where a group of about 500 deaf children in Nicaragua developed their own unique sign language. One behavioral neuroscientist from Rutgers, Judy Kegl, described what happened as “the first documented case of the birth of a language.” Dr. Kegl reported that the sign language invented by the deaf children displayed all the characteristics of other languages such as noun and verb agreement, subject-verb-object sentence construction, and distinct hand shapes and movements that were the building blocks of their communication. Dr. Kegl said, “It’s clear evidence of an innate language capacity.” VK: So, the two ways of classifying languages look at these two different aspects. Typological classification looks at grammatical structures and classifies languages accordingly. But in the middle of the 20th century Dr. Joseph Greenberg came up with a new way of classifying languages that is often referred to as the genetic approach. The genetic qualification of language uses ‘core vocabulary’ to classify a language. Core vocabulary are words that don’t change much over time. The method aims to see how many of these words are similar in different languages. Core vocabulary includes words that every vocabulary would be expected to contain such as words for body parts, numbers, and personal pronouns. When clear patterns of similarities between languages are observed, then those languages are said to be related. Greenberg’s method has become the most commonly used way of comparing languages because it works well for languages that don’t have an abundance of historical written material that can show changes in language structure over time. Greenberg developed his method after noting that several African languages which had puzzled linguists had similar sounding words for similar things so he concluded those languages must be related. RD: Core vocabulary between related languages is never identical, but similar, or ‘cognate’. An article from Creation Ministries International on this subject, entitled “The tower of Babel account confirmed by linguistics” says this about cognate words. “Words are cognate when they are shown to be consistent to the pattern of phonetical change that has taken place in the past. For example, the word tahi in Tongan might not look like kai in Hawaiian, even though they both mean ‘sea’. But, if you also compare Tongan tapu to Hawaiian kapu (both meaning ‘forbidden’) and Tongan tanata to Hawaiian kanaka (meaning ‘man’) you begin to see a pattern: Where Tongan has an initial ‘T’ Hawaiian has an initial ‘K’, and one begins to see that the words might be related. They are cognate.” VK: So, linguists can compare languages by their structure and by their vocabulary. But how do linguists decide that languages are “different?” RD: A common definition of a different language is mutual unintelligibility. In other words languages are different when speakers of one language cannot understand speakers of another language. Of course, there are instances where speakers may be using different dialects of the same language. The speakers may be able to understand one another by there are still distinct differences in pronunciation, word usage, vocabulary, etc. VK: George Bernard Shaw once famously said that “The British and the Americans are two great peoples divided by a common tongue.” His observation was pretty clever but speaking precisely British English and American English are probably best described as being different dialects that had their origin in the same tongue. So, how does all of this help us with our 9th fact that we see evidence of the Bible’s accuracy through the study of linguistics and languages? RD: Because of what we see in language variance around the world. For the reasons we mentioned briefly above there is no precise count of the number of the world’s languages. But it is commonly thought that there are 6,000 to 7,000 different languages spoken around the world. That seems like a lot but that number becomes a lot less daunting when you consider that those 6,000 to 7,000 languages are usually grouped into about 20 or so language families. For instance, the language family that includes English is the Indo-European family. The Indo-European family covers most of Europe plus a part of south west Asia. In northern Europe there is the Uralic Family, which includes Finnish and Hungarian. In north-east Asia we find the Chukchi-Kamchatkan family. Central Asia and the rest of northern Asia host the Altaic family, which also contains Turkish. Southern Asia is considered to have another 3 or 4 language families and the Caucasus region may have two further families. The Pacific region has three or four families. The languages of the Australian Aborigines are usually grouped as one family, as are the languages spoken on mainland Papua. There is no agreement on the treatment of Tasmanian, which is now extinct. The Austronesian family includes languages spoken on Madagascar, the Southern part of the Malaysian Peninsula, the Indonesian Islands, the Philippines, and the Maori languages. And Africa and America each have another 3 or 4 major families. VK: So, what all that means is that even though there are thousands of separate languages worldwide there are far fewer so-called language families. And languages are grouped into families because linguists can tell that those languages are related to one another. For instance we sometimes hear of the Romance Languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. They are called Romance Languages because they are all derived from Lain which was the language of the Roman Empire. Languages such as German, Dutch, and English are often grouped in a group called the Germanic Languages. Languages such as Russian, Czech, and Polish are grouped into the Slavonic Languages. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that all of these groups share a similarity with some languages you wouldn’t expect such as Sanskrit and the languages spoken in India. So, all of these groups are part of the Indo-European Language Family. RD: Exactly. And the fact that the languages spoken in such diverse places as England, Spain, Russia, and India all bear some similarity might surprise us until we think back to what we learned from our 7th fact – that Noah’s sons and grandsons left an indelible mark on history. So, harkening back, we remember that Noah’s oldest son, Japheth, had descendants that settled in territories that spanned the Eurasian territory from England to India. VK: And all of this is very consistent with what we heard from our opening scripture today about God confusing the language at Babel. In Genesis chapter 8 God had told Noah and his sons to “reproduce and spread over all the earth.” But we see from Genesis chapter 11 that the people had not obeyed that command. Instead they had remained together and begun to settle in a “plain in Babylonia.” And once there they decided to build a huge tower which seemed to be an expression of pride and arrogance. Genesis, chapter 11, verse 4 says the people said, “Now let's build a city with a tower that reaches the sky, so that we can make a name for ourselves and not be scattered all over the earth.” RD: So, rather than spreading all over the earth as God had commanded they wanted to create a tower that would be a reason to not “be scattered all over the earth.” VK: Given that the Babel incident is only decades after the flood it seems like those people had a pretty short memory. And at that point at least one of Noah’s sons was still alive. You might have thought they would have been more attentive to God’s commands given there was a rather stark example in the recent past of the consequence for disobedience. That’s a good lesson for today. RD: You might have thought that – but no. At any rate, God decided to enforce his command by going down and confusing their language. This effectively forced the people to begin to separate and spread. It also gave birth immediately to several new languages which over the intervening 4,400 years or so have continued to transform into the thousands of languages that are spoken around the globe. And we have distinct evidence of the truth of the Babel account because there is no evidence of a common point of origin among the many language families. We can see that within the families there was most likely a common ancestor that is now lost – but there is no indication that there was a common ancestor for all the families. Linguistically, at least, the various families stand separate and distinct. This is not what you would expect if the evolutionary hypothesis were correct and there was a single point of origin of all the languages on the earth. VK: Moreover, the Biblical explanation makes better sense about the number of languages in existence today. Let’s just say that God divided the language in such a way that there were several new languages. If there were 10 new languages present after Babel, then as time went on the languages would begin to change. New languages would come into being and some languages would fall into disuse or become extinct if the speakers all died from war or tragedy. In general linguists know that it takes hundreds of years to create a new language but languages can arise in very small populations. Today there are over 800 languages spoken in the country of Papua [POP-OOH-AH] New Guinea. For simplicity’s sake let’s just say that the number of languages present on the earth doubled every 400 years. That would mean that there would be over 5,000 languages present now after 4,200 years. That’s pretty close to the number of languages estimated to exist right now. RD: Linguists also know that languages tend to get simpler through time, not more complex. Dr. Sarfati notes that “For example, in the Indo-European family, Sanskrit, Classical Greek and Latin had many different noun inflections for different case, gender, and number, while verbs were inflected for tense, voice, number and person. Modern descendants of these languages have greatly reduced the number of inflections, i.e. the trend is from the complex to the simpler, the opposite of evolution. … English has also lost 65 – 85% of the Old English vocabulary, and many Classical Latin words have also been lost from its descendants …” VK: So, does all this discussion prove the truth of the Babel account in Genesis? RD: It’s not correct to say that a linguistic analysis “proves” the Genesis account but it’s correct to say that it is consistent with Genesis. There’s really no way to prove that a particular event happened in history because alternative explanations are always possible. It is also fair to say that the Biblical explanation for the languages we hear all over the earth makes far more sense that the evolutionary alternative. The number of languages that are present, the linguistic relationship within language families and the lack of relationship among language families are all consistent with the Genesis account. It is yet another example of where accepting the historicity of Genesis allows us to form a coherent view of the world we see and hear – whereas the evolutionary hypothesis just leads to more and more questions. VK: The point of this series and today’s discussion is to help Christians guard against the narratives that circulate so widely today. One of those narratives is that the Bible cannot be trusted. So, to push that narrative the critics must cast doubt on the reliability and authenticity of scripture. But reality pushes back on the claim that the Bible can’t be trusted. And that’s what these 10 facts that every Christian needs to know points to. Furthermore, the evolutionary explanations that are offered all come with significant problems. As we discussed in our last episode of Anchored by Truth if humans had been around for over a million years we should have countless numbers of additional people alive today. We should also find billions of remains and the artifacts of those who came before. We don’t find either. Moses wrote Genesis 3,500 years ago. Humanly speaking, he could not have known what the population of the earth would be in 2022, what languages would be spoken, or how the names of Noah’s grandsons would continue to be found in the names of rivers, cities, regions, and cultures. But God did. Moses just recorded the history God gave to him. He did so faithfully and accurately and we see the fidelity of his account all around us today. Sounds like a good time for a prayer. To close, for today let’s listen to a prayer for our friends. God meant for us to live in communities where we share the joys and trials of this world – giving each other mutual strength and receiving mutual comfort. We should all pray regularly for those friends and praise God when He gives us friends who pray for us. ---- PRAYER FOR FRIENDS VK: Before we close we’d like to remind our audience that a lot of our radio episodes are linked together in series of topics so if they missed any episodes in this series or if they just want to hear one again, all of these episodes are available on your favorite podcast app. To find them just search on “Anchored by Truth by Crystal Sea Books.” If you’d like to hear more, try out crystalseabooks.com where “We’re not perfect but our Boss is!” (Opening Bible Quote from the New King James Bible) Genesis, chapter 11, verses 6 through 9, New King James Bible The Tower of Babel account affirmed by linguistics - creation.com The development of languages is nothing like biological evolution - creation.com Satan’s Strategy • Cast doubt on God’s goodness • Deny God’s truth • Elevate self-importance • Establish a replacement in the mind and heart for God’s truth Cultural Narratives One way to look at narratives is that there are primary and secondary narratives that circulate in our culture. The primary narratives are so embedded in our culture that they are not even noticed any more. They are like the framed prints on your wall. Initially you see them but as time goes by you notice them less and less. Eventually you only know they are there when a visitor comes in and remarks about them. Deep time, evolution, uniformitarianism, and the equality of all religious viewpoints are now primary narratives in our culture. Only fools and the suspect disagree with them. The narratives we notice (such as the prominent social and political narratives) are secondary ones - the acceptability of abortion, same sex marriage, the difference between "green" energy and fossil fuels, "public" education, increased government control and regulation, etc. The secondary ones emerge from and are dependent on the primary ones. • The Big Bang/deep time does away with the need for God as Creator. • Evolution does away with the need for God as the Author of life. • Uniformitarianism does away God as the Administrator of justice (become evil continually and God will wipe you off the face of the earth). Since we've done away with God we now create our own standards for what constitutes "personhood," family, man's dominion over the earth, etc. The problem is, of course, we didn't do away with God or His truth. And the house built on intellectual sand falls when the river of reality hits it. So, we will proclaim the truth to try to save some and maybe by God's grace many or most. People who doubt the inerrancy of scripture never think about any of this but they should. The line from that which they doubt the Word to a life they don't want to live is very straight. The line grows even more straight as it uncoils - just like the hangman's rope.

While residing on the small Pacific island of Pohnpei in the 1990s, Carole Nervig discovered that a recent brush fire had exposed hundreds of previously unknown petroglyphs carved on gigantic boulders. This portion of the megalithic site called Pohnpaid was unknown even to Pohnpei's state historic preservation officer. The petroglyphs were unlike others from Oceania, so she began investigating and comparing them with petroglyphs and symbols from around the world. She documents her discoveries on Pohnpei, revealing how the archetypal symbols of the Pohnpaid petroglyphs have exact counterparts in other ancient cultures and universal motifs throughout the world, including the Australian Aborigines, the Inca in Peru, the Vedic civilization of India, early Norse runes, and Japanese symbols. She provides evidence that Pohnpaid is closely related to--yet predates--neighboring Nan Madol and shows how Pohnpaid was an outpost of the sunken Kahnihmueiso, a city of the now-vanished civilization of Mu, or Lemuria.  She examines how many of the glyphs symbolize celestial phenomena and clearly reveal how their creators were sky watchers with a sophisticated understanding of astronomy, geophysics, geomancy, and engineering. She shows how the scientific concepts depicted in the petroglyphs reveal how the citizens of Mu had a much deeper understanding of the living Earth than we do, which gave them the ability to manipulate natural forces both physically and energetically. Combining archaeological evidence with traditional oral accounts, Nervig reveals Pohnpaid not only as a part of a geodetic network of ancient sacred sites and portals but also as a remnant of the now submerged but once enlightened Motherland of Mu.

Episode Highlights [03:09] Professor Noakes' Career Professor Noakes went to medical school before shifting to research and science.  He started writing the Lore of Running for the public, which is currently ongoing with its fifth revision.  Originally a supporter of the high-carbohydrate diet, he realised he was giving the wrong dietary advice after struggling with Type II Diabetes. He lost funding from his university due to this realisation but won the case in court using well-proven science. With his research, he now teaches the proper management of diabetes. [07:50] Against the Food Industry Professor Noakes lost funding from a company in the food industry after he stopped promoting their grain-based diet.  He was sued for his book, Waterlogged, because it went against the sports drink industry.  [12:30] The Pressure from the Academe  Academic mobbing is the pressure to quit your academic work. Professionals such as deans and professors went against Prof Noakes.  Professor Noakes chose research and science because of the toxic environment in the field of medicine. The academic and medical profession is brutal, with long work hours and debt. [15:39] Diet Guidelines Professor Noakes recommends eating based on what humans have evolved to eat. Historically, humans have hunted big animals and turned to agriculture for food. While reasonably healthy, vegetarian diets can be expensive and require highly refined food. He advises eating non-processed and animal-based food. [19:17] The Human's Digestive Evolution The human diet used to be mainly animal produce. Carbohydrates were only eaten during shortages. It isn't easy to adapt from an animal-based, high-fat diet to a high-grain diet in a short period.  Gorillas have certain digestive mechanisms that can break down carbohydrates into fat. Humanity's evolution as hunters resulted in a shorter bowel that is ideal for eating animal produce. [23:47] On Long-Distance Running Running is not a sustainable activity to bring into older age. Orthopedic problems can develop, especially after decades. It is not an ideal long-term activity. [26:22] Weight Control Removing carbohydrates helped Professor Noakes control his weight. He also found amazing benefits from his biweekly CrossFit sessions complemented with running. Now, he has more muscle mass and better flexibility than before.  [30:52] Professor Noakes' Writing Professor Noakes is rewriting the Lore of Running to debunk myths and misconceptions. He is also working on an article about eating before or after exercise. He recently discovered the reason why carbohydrates are necessary for exercise. Regardless of your diet, avoiding hypoglycemia during exercise is the main goal. [37:05] Preventing Cancer Through Diet The low-carb, high-fat diet is ideal for preventing cancer. Insulin resistance, which can develop from a long-term high-carb diet, underlies most cancers. [40:30] Busting Myths  The central government theory is true. Reduction of exercise performance to reduce lactate and glycogen is a myth. Measuring oxygen consumption and glycogen muscle storage is unimportant. His friend once subscribed to a high-carb diet before switching to low carbs. His running greatly improved. Dave Scott, a well-known athlete, has also seen improvements after changing his diet. [45:39] What to Drink When Running Homeostatic regulation allows you to determine if you need to drink more to keep normal sodium levels. Drinking too much water can cause hyponatremia, which is when your sodium levels drop, causing brain swelling and reduced brain blood flow. A genetic defect causing the oversecretion of hormones can cause you to drink too much. It is best for marathon runners to drink only when they feel thirsty. Dehydration is not a medical condition. Your body can maintain normal levels as long as you drink when needed. 7 Powerful Quotes [17:02] ‘The answer is we got to go back to eating what the Maoris were eating, or the Australian Aborigines. [T]hey were eating fish and other foods from the land.' — Professor Tim Noakes  [21:34] ‘We're designed to eat animal produce, which is digested in the small bowel. That's how we evolved, and that allowed us to get our hips to narrow. That allowed us to start running because our knees came closer together; we could run more effectively. And then we became bigger hunters. And that then helped us evolve further.' — Professor Tim Noakes [26:07] ‘I do a lot of strength work and yoga and things like that to balance things out. I feel a ton healthier — day and night healthy. I can manage my weight much better. I was fatter when I was running the distances.' — Lisa Tamati [28:26] ‘I do an hour or two twice a week, and it's 40 minutes really odd but really, really odd. Then I came to complement that with some running, but that's what I need. I've bulked up. I've put on five kilograms of muscle at the age of 72. I'm lifting weights that I could never even consider when I was younger.' — Professor Tim Noakes [29:40] ‘I was having spasms 10 times a day. Then I started doing CrossFit and I worked my way up. Now it's been years without a single spasm. I do not have back pain and I have a very, very strong core. And I work on the core and I maintain it because the back injury is still there but I don't have any issues.' — Lisa Tamati [44:41] ‘He wrote to me about four years ago and says to me, “I've just read your book, and I changed my diet.” And he said, “I wish I'd been eating this diet all my life.”'— Professor Tim Noakes [49:28] ‘You don't need to be told when to drink. Your body will tell you when to drink. So you just drink to thirst, and that's absolutely what is the case. You drink to thirst, and you'll be fine.' — Professor Tim Noakes About Professor Noakes Professor Tim Noakes is an author and researcher focusing on sports and exercise science. Alongside Morné du Plessis, he helped found the Sports Science Institute of South Africa. There, they expanded the limits of research for sports science and encouraged interest in the field.  Professor Noakes' book, Lore of Running, is often considered the bible of running. His other book, Waterlogged, talks about his research on exercise-associated hyponatremia. Professor Noakes has published over 750 scientific books and articles and has won multiple awards for his contributions to sports science.  Learn more about Professor Tim Noakes by visiting The Noakes Foundation. Jen Ward joins me to share The SFT Lexicon: Spiritual Freedom Technique. The SFT Lexicon provides a roadmap and an easy-to-follow guidebook for anyone seeking to transform and uplift themselves as a stepping stone to transcendence, higher consciousness, and enlightenment. The book shows the reader how to apply the simple yet immensely powerful Spiritual Freedom Technique (SFT) to resolve whatever issue or issues might be preventing them from experiencing joy, love, abundance, freedom, health, success, and wholeness. Jen shared that she is the reincarnation of Russian Spiritualist Madame Blavatsky. Check out the photos and judge for yourself. Jen Ward Madame Blavatsky Tapping was first observed in the practices of the Australian Aborigines. In its current form, it was given to Jen Ward by a group of spiritual masters known as the Adepts. Its power lies in how it bypasses the ego to communicate directly with the higher self, thereby overcoming perhaps the most significant impediment to transformational growth. We talk about Balancing male and female energyThe expunging negativity protocolHow to dissolve partnerships The peanut butter and jelly protocolDiscovering your core issuesJen gives a live session on how to use the protocol Jen demonstrates how the protocol works by giving me a reading on the air. I rarely allow others to provide me with a reading. But, she was spot on with her assessment, and I felt the healing energy immediately and continued working with the fantastic protocols in the book. So, if you are wondering what the process is all about, she gives a very detailed presentation. Jen Ward is a dynamic healer, executive coach, and group facilitator.  She has devoted her life to helping others unlock their true potential.  She is also an accomplished writer and poet. Jen's extraordinary and challenging personal journey has gifted her with a unique ability to perceive energy and read akashic records.  This, along with her Spiritual Freedom Tapping techniques, allows Jen to work with clients to see and remove the blockages to happiness and effectiveness within any individual. Jen is the author of 19 books, notably including “The SFT Lexicon,” “Enlightenment Unveiled,” and “Emerging from the Mist.” Jen is the creator of the SFT Tapping protocol.   SFT tapping is different from other affirmations because it bypasses the ego.  People can repeat affirmations until they are blue in the face.  But as they say them, the ego is arguing with them the whole time, pulling up references to refute the truth of the affirmation.  The taps and how they are worded are a means to access the psyche beyond the ego's scrutiny. www.jenuinehealing.com

(The Detroit Occult Murders) *** After several strange occurrences around his home, a boy begins to think it's not his house that is haunted… but him. *** A woman sees a dark, nightly shadow in her backyard… in the middle of the afternoon. *** At first, the young woman heard a man's voice call her name from the other room – but then came the knocking… for days and weeks on end. *** And, the true tale of what can only be described an alien abduction. *** According to one of our stories, if you see gold flames, you might want to investigate further – for your financial sake! *** A woman is woken from a nightmare, by a kind spirit. *** While we are often frightened by ghosts, is it possible that they could also be frightened of us? *** Two online reviews of a certain hotel in Vegas may give you a reason to vacation elsewhere. *** A small piece of property has just come up for sale this month in Essex. But you might think twice about living there, or opening a business there… as it was once a prison for a witch that was hung there. *** The classic creepypasta (“Bedtime”) *** On a hot August day, with the front door wide open, an icy chill still crept into the room where two brothers were sitting. *** A boy comes face-to-face with Death himself. *** A girl's mother believes hanging a cross in the house brings problems. #BlackHistory #indigenous #AfricanAmerican #aboriginal Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4573928/Incredible-reconstruction-10-000-year-old-African-caveman.html Join us as we have a conversation about the face of a 10,000 year old African caveman which have been revealed for the first time, reigniting the debate over whether the first ancient people to set foot on American soil were African or Asian. Digital imaging by Brazilian graphic designer, Cicero Moraes - who is not of African decent himself - shows the features of a 40 to 50-year-old prehistoric African man whose face resembles Australian Aborigines. The reconstruction, nicknamed Apiuna, was based on a skull discovered deep inside a cave during an archaeological dig in Lagoa Santa, south east Brazil, some 50 years ago. The discovery of the African's face controversially challenges the belief that the American continents' first pioneers were Asian. Instead, it suggests that Apiuna was part of the first wave of people in America who were Africans with Austro-Melanesian characteristics. August 26, 2020 Connie Baxter Marlow and Andrew Cameron Bailey are original thinkers, filmmakers and social philosophers whose films, books, workshops and public appearances spread their visionary, optimistic message about the future of humanity. Andrew was teaching mathematics and chemistry at a South African college while studying comparative religion when the realization hit him: the Australian Aborigines were speaking pure poetic quantum physics. Connie earned an honors degree in economics from UC Berkeley then delved deeply into the world of Native American knowledge. Together they produced the film "IN SEARCH OF THE FUTURE: What Do The Wise Ones Know?" and wrote the book "THE TRUST FREQUENCY: Ten Assumptions For A New Paradigm". Connie and Andrew talk about how such a new paradigm, , a shift in consciousness, can save us from the seemingly overwhelming threats plunging us toward doomsday.and enable us to craft a world of peace, harmony and abundance. -- See the video at: PeoplePoweredPlanet.com -- Music by: „World Citizen“ Jahcoustix feat.   A New York Post study states that women sleep better next to dogs than their human partners. Of the 962 women living interviewed, 55 percent of them said they slept better with a dog in their bed.  What’s another word for a soft and cuddly dog?  A  woopert. The study found that dogs were less likely to wake their owners in the middle of the night than cats or humans as well.  What’s a word for the fear of cats?  Galeophobia. In England, taking a nap is sometimes referred to as kipping.  A three dog night is a phrase used by Australian Aborigines, which means “a night so cold you will need to take three dogs to bed with you to stay warm”. First dogs steal our heart, then they steal our bed.  Does anyone else tell their pets when leaving the house “I’ll be right back, or is it just me?”

Abe discussed the background to William Cooper, and advertised the upcoming March, starting from: 73 Southampton St, Footscray VIC 3011, Australia. It was also discussed that the event will reach through to Flagstaff Gardens in the city.    Lastly, Marisa Interviewed Brett Collins from Justice Action about a possible bill that will be debated in Parliament, which would block mental health patients' reconciliation. Welcome the newest episode of Dark Discussions, your place for the discussion of horror film, fiction, and all that’s fantastic. Director Yolanda Ramke made a seven minute short film entitled CARGO that took the old zombie trope and made a very unique and interesting little film. Getting much buzz on the internet, she along with Ben Howling co-directed an expanded version of the short, where they were able to get actor Martin Freeman to star in it. After the zombie apocalypse, survivors struggle to survive in rural Australia. Andy (Martin Freeman) and his wife Kay (Susie Porter) and infant daughter Rosie travel on boat down river hoping to arrive at a known safe zone. When unexpected tragedy hits them, the three land up on land having to survive against rugged terrain, zombies, and suspicious human beings. Whether the film hits its mark or not, almost everyone has stated Martin Freeman’s performance may be one of the best of his career. Taking the outback, the rugged Australian settler, and the culture of the Australian Aborigines, this new take on the zombie film at the least is quite unique. Dark Discussions takes a look at the latest in large zombie subgenre and gives their thoughts. In this episode, Hilda Librada Gore of the Wise Traditions podcast interviews me about the work of Weston Price, dental researcher extraordinaire and pioneer of nutritional anthropology. In the second half, we talk about how to condense what we've learned since Price's time about nutrition into some practical rules of thumb that can help us achieve the best diet to meet our nutritional needs. It originally appeared on the Wise Traditions podcast as episode 155 and 156. If you can be in Baltimore, MD this weekend, November 16-November 19, come to the Wise Traditions Conference! I'll be giving an all-day seminar on Monday the 19th about measuring and managing nutritional status. You can register for the conference on site and select my seminar as an add-on. For more information or to buy any of their products, go to https://chrismasterjohnphd.com/ancestral Here's what you can expect to find in the podcast. PART 1 Dr. Weston A. Price, a Cleveland dentist and researcher from the late 1800s, has been called the “Isaac Newton of Nutrition.” His research is just that pivotal to our understanding of the role diet plays in our health. Today, we take a deep dive into the research that Dr. Price conducted and how we can benefit from it. What foods did traditional peoples enjoy that helped them cultivate good health? What did they avoid? And what can we learn from their choices? On this podcast, Chris Masterjohn, a nutrition expert who has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut, explains the foundational work of Dr. Price. In the 1930s, Dr. Price traveled the world in order to study isolated people groups, visiting sequestered villages in Switzerland, Polynesian South Sea Islanders, African tribal groups, Australian Aborigines, and more. He was interested in finding out how these groups resisted the tooth decay and deformations that he was seeing in his clinic in the United States. The world over, Dr. Price found that those on their traditional diets not only had beautiful straight teeth, free from decay, but they also enjoyed vibrant health and vitality. Chris discusses in detail how Dr. Price went about this work and how it can serve us in our pursuit of good health today. Highlights from the conversation include: Chris’ own recent trip to Greece and how he made discoveries for himself the purpose of Dr. Price’s research the wisdom and and history of traditional cultures the role nutrition plays in tooth decay the “displacing foods of modern commerce” the developmental effects of refined vs traditional foods how the width of the face is determined by more than just genetics the shocking story of the skulls Dr. Price found in Peru why our oral health and overall health are intrinsically linked how reversing tooth decay and healing cavities with diet is possible the difference between fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins & which are so difficult to get Dr. Price’s four main food categories for good health PART 2  We understand the beauty and benefit of diversity. We switch up our exercise routines. We diversify our investment portfolio. But did you know that it’s a good idea to diversify our diets, as well? Today, Chris Masterjohn makes a strong case for why it’s critical to do so for optimal health. Chris is a health expert and educator, with a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. He explains in detail his rules of thumb for healthy eating. He give us practical ideas on how to translate the research of Dr. Weston A. Price from head knowledge to the dinner plate. Along the way, he tells stories about traditional people groups‘ dietary patterns; he warns us about the dangers of dietary extremes; and he gives us a window into the way he himself eats for optimal health. Highlights from the conversation include: Chris’ “rules of thumb” for good health why it’s important to diversify our food sources how nutrients are different, even in the same food groups how to actually implement Dr. Price’s research in your life practical tips and advice for diversifying your food the problem with categorizing certain foods as “good” or “bad” why plants are not as good a source of calcium compared to dairy products or bones the dangers of the carnivore diet how there are no people groups who eat animal foods exclusively; nor are there people living solely on plant foods the strange story of isolated peoples who had no access to animal foods the importance of eat eating the entire animal, nose to tail what to do if your body has specific needs what Dr. Price found when he searched for vegan people groups the important principle of how distinct our nutritional needs are (both compared to others’ needs and how our own needs change over time) Learn about the true diversity of traditional cultures

Tallest reported was 36 feet. Curiously, there’s a common claim that the giant skeletons were sent to the Smithsonian in D.C., and mysteriously “disappeared” – ya okay.In the 1800’s, a grave robber found a 14 inch finger that has been kept in the family for over a century. In 1960, x-ray images which actually confirmed that it was a legit finger. - somebody get that 200 year old finger a manicure stat!Historians have found these HUGE books that were once believed to belong to the Nephilim, which is kind of weird to think that they liked to read…Check out our website!Contact us!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/join/cocktailsandconspiracies?)

Many indigenous populations have a view of their place in the universe that defines them as stewards of the Earth. Australian Aborigines, Native Americans, and others, see themselves as intimately connected to the land. Here in Acadiana we re intimately connected to the land in an agricultural sense, but you wouldn t expect to see Neil deGrasse Tyson delivering a lecture on Cajun Cosmology. If anything, the spiritual aspect of both Cajun and European immigrants here are shared in Catholicism, whose worship is mostly directed upward to the Heavens, not down to Earth. Nevertheless, in recent years we have come to realize we are all stewards of the Earth. Whether you believe in manmade climate change or you think that something other than science is behind it, we know we have to do what we can to preserve green space, and grow and consume crops responsibly. Most of us try and incorporate these philosophies into our everyday lives. But for some of us stewardship of the land is everyday life. As a student, EB Brooks started a campaign to save the green space then known as the UL Horse Farm. The campaign worked. In 2013 EB went to work for Lafayette Central Park, the non profit formed to oversee the design, development, operation and maintenance of what is now called Moncus Park. Today, EB is the organization s Executive Director, and has helped raise over 14,000,000 towards the park s construction. Beth James is the 7th generation steward of her family s land over eleven hundred acres in St Landry Parish. Beth is the co owner of James Farms, and co founder of a new venture a rice mill making a product called Prairie Ronde Long Grain Rice. We re not seeing the current generations of Acadiana residents as you might expect drifting away from the land, but if anything the opposite. Our current stewards, typified by E B Brooks and Beth James, have a greater reverence for the land than ever. Photos taken over lunch at Social Southern Table and Bar by Lucius Fontenot. This week on MYTH, it’s time to head down under for a story from the Australian Aborigines.  In this episode, you’ll learn that creepy caves are always bad, that bones can be magical, and that some parents will go to serious extremes for their kids.  Then, in Gods and Monsters, it’s a very good reason to be afraid of fig trees.

Bettina Bergo is Professor of Philosophy at the Université de Montréal. Her project at the Marty Center, a monograph entitled Anxiety: History of a Concept in 19th and 20th Century Philosophy and Psychology, traces the intellectual history of anxiety, as an idea and a sign. Aimed at an interdisciplinary readership, the book is concerned with a recurrent theme in disciplines that framed the meaning of life, embodiment, subjectivity, and indeed, intersubjectivity. Abstract: even the so-called egalitarian and loosely structured societies known to anthropology, including hunters such as Inuit or Australian Aborigines, are in structure and practice subordinate segments of inclusive cosmic polities, ordered and governed by divinities, ancestors, species masters, and other such metapersons endowed with life and death powers over the human population. "The Mbowamb spends is whole life completely under the spell and in the company of spirits" (Vicedom and Tischner). "[Arawete] society is not complete on earth: the living are part of the global social structure founded on the alliance between heaven and earth" (Viveiros de Castro). We need something like a Copernican revolution in anthropological perspective: from human society as the center of a universe onto which it projects its own forms--that is to say, from the Durkheimian or structural-functional deceived wisdom--to the ethnographic realities of people's dependence on the encompassing life-giving and death-dealing powers, themselves of human attributes, which rule earthly order, welfare, and existence. For Hobbes notwithstanding, something like the political state is the condition of humanity in the state of nature; there are kingly beings in heaven even where there are no chiefs on earth.

His recent collection of short stories, “The Promise” (University of Queensland Press), delivers 12 tales with a sensitive and humorous take on life, including the stories of a trio of amateur thieves left in charge of a baby moments before a heist, a group of boys competing in the final of a marbles tournament and two young friends obsessed with the mystery of a submerged car in their local swimming hole. Birch is currently the inaugural Bruce McGuinness Research Fellow within the Moondani Balluk Centre at Victoria University in Australia. He will be releasing another novel, “Ghost River,” in October 2015. Speaker Biography: Ellen van Neerven is a young award-winning Aboriginal Australian writer from the Yugambeh people of South East Queensland. This wide ranging interview covers many interlinking and overlapping subjects, including; Consciousness, New Paradigm, Quantum Realities, Space Time - ET’s and UFO’s - Trans Pluto, Mother Earth, Sustainability, Ecological Awareness, Co-creation and Co-operation. When we sleep at night we basically disconnect from our outer realm and bodily sensations and enter what JJ Hurtak says is ‘an ocean of consciousness, swimming in hyperspace’ - that our consciousness is not localised in our body it is open to a vast plethora of dimensions - as the Australian Aborigines aptly named the 'dream time.' That there are many levels of sleep. Beyond rapid eye movement and all the analysis that has take place, and the usual mixed messages of dreams we experience, we can tap into other realms that are available to us every night. JJ Hurtak mentions the dreams of Joseph when back in Egypt and his ability to interpret them for the Pharaoh. So there is a long history of the potency of dreams, however with present day humanity, especially in the western world, we are awash in things, data, distraction and consumerism and rarely take the time to cultivate our inner being, and the levels of unconsciousness that may be just waiting to be acknowledged. Desiree, also mentions how dreams can give us warnings and predictions and tells of one, as well as experiences of déjà vu.

International speaker and holistic wellness consultant Robbie Holz returns to the show to discuss her new book Aboriginal Secrets of Awakening: A Journey of Healing and Spirituality with a Remote Australian Tribe, co-authored with Christiann Howard. She is continuing to expand the explorations shared in the award-winning book she co-authored with her late husband Dr. Gary Holz, Secrets of Aboriginal Healing: A Physicist's Journey with a Remote Australian Tribe.  Journeying from bedridden patient to inspired healer, Robbie recovered from Hepatitis C, fibromyalgia and treatment-induced brain damage through her experiences with a remote tribe in the Outback of Australia. Her husband Gary, a pragmatic and successful physicist with multiple sclerosis, developed astonishing abilities after his transformative time being healed by Australian Aborigines, including telepathy, seeing the inner workings of his patients' bodies and channeling the healing energy of the Universe. Robbie's own healing powers blossomed in the midst of participating in secret Aboriginal women's ceremonies in the harsh Outback desert. Robbie shares how she journeyed past grief, with her late husband now a loving part of her spirit team. Secrets of Aboriginal Healing was a Nautilus Silver Medal Winner, a Foreword Reviews Book of the Year Finalist and a USA Book News Best Book Award Finalist. (aka the last 2012 panel discussion ever!) photo: Adam Taylor The Hopi Indian myths tell of a final age of Mankind, where a RAINBOW TRIBE shall appear of all peoples, all colors as one. The Mayans have their cosmogenesis telling of the shift coming in 2012, when the the Fifth World is born, even Australian Aborigines have their DREAMTIME mythos.  Ethnobotanist and philosopher Terence McKenna helped fuel the idea of Dec 21st, 2012 as a 'Strange Attractor at the End of Time'... And here we all are, the latest in a long line of youth cultures affected by our relationship with the Earth and the deeper, Gaian consciousness that birthed us... Is Global Trance Culture a bridge between previous youth movements and something even older peaking in waves throughout His-story? What can we do to sacralize our dance, to empower our hearts, and to connect with these potent times to make a difference? Are we the ones we've been waiting for…? Guest speaker: Terence McKenna PROGRAM NOTES: [NOTE: All quotations are by Terence McKenna.] "The UFO community is just fraught with the most crack-brained, peculiar, self-serving, unstable, mush-minded group of people you would ever hope to get together in one place. I mean it's like a magnet for screwballs." [Terence then went on, at great length, to describe his own encounter with a UFO . . . go figure  .] "I've seen things that violated the laws of physics. I believe the laws of physics can be violated. I believe there may well be extraterrestrials somewhere in the universe." "My technique, which I recommend to you, is don't believe anything. If you believe in something, you are automatically precluded from believing its opposite. Therefore you have given up a portion of your freedom, and freedom is the dearest thing we've got." "Probe the edges." "Psychedelics work. If you think that I'm bullshitting you, go home and take five grams of mushrooms in silent darkness and then we'll talk. That's the sine qua non. It'll work, on demand. I'm not saying, ‘And wait forty years, or purify yourself, or get your aura stitched up, or any of the rest of it. It'll work. It'll blow your mind to shreds. It's real." "What I've decided is that the [DMT] experience is an archetype. It's the archetype of the circus." "I think where the dead and the living get together is in the dream time. Australian Aborigines have been trying to tell us this for as long as we would listen." "The dream state is more like the tryptamine geography than anything else." "Fairies respond to riddlery. This has to do with this thing about language. And the strange relationship of the Irish to intoxication, faries, and language suggests that here we might have a restrictive gene pool that has somehow indemnified itself in the direction of these peculiar concerns." "As long as we pursue the destruction of the Earth, and the elaboration of materialist ideology, and the suppression of psychedelic states, and the suppression of the feminine we are going to be alienated, feel abandoned, and operate in an ambiance of rampant pathology." "The apocalypse is no longer a rumor. It has arrived in many parts of the world." "Do what you think is right. Think about what you think is right, and once you've thought about it then do it!"
