Rather than use emotion to make decisions, we need to use facts and information to understand the history of the current situation in Ukraine. If you care to examine the facts, you will see that the West (US and Europe) instigated the current crisis in Ukraine. During the Brownells Bullet Points we will consider some new products available and Professor Paul gives his thoughts on the state of ammunition. Heller decision in 2008, gun control advocates have parsed every word of Justice Antonin Scalia's opinion for ways in which to continue their campaign against the Second Amendment. Relying on creative interpretations of dicta, these activists try to twist the landmark gun rights ruling into an endorsement of their anti-gun policies. An example of these efforts is on display in the NRA-supported case New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. The case concerns the validity New York's discretionary carry licensing regime, where law enforcement is tasked with determining if an applicant has “proper cause” to carry a firearm for self-defense. (Click Here for Full Article) From www.smithsonianmag.com: In July 1918, Erich Posselt wrote a poem. “It wasn't a very good poem,” he would write later, “and it was decidedly not for publication.” But it landed him in an American internment camp for 17 months. It began like this. The poem's six (presumably American) aviators bumble through Germany, each falling victim to the varied ravages of gout, Munich beer, and the well-known general Erich Ludendorff. Posselt was a young editor and translator who emigrated from Austria-Hungary in 1914. His nationality—like that of millions of German-speaking immigrants in the United States during World War I—attracted suspicion and anger from nationalistic Americans. In the course of the war, the federal government registered around half a million “enemy alien” civilians, spied on many of them, and sent approximately 6,000 men and a few women to internment camps. We hear about innovation so much nowadays in the business world - we hear it in company earnings releases, we hear it internally in place of work, and we see it in peoples titles on LinkedIn, but what exactly is Innovation, what is Open Innovation, and how is it changing in our current technology landscape? Today's conversation is a Simply Tech LIVE interview recorded June 17th, of this year 2021, featuring my co-host Ali Mazaheri, and our special guests Jason Deskin, and Lisa Griego. Jason Deskin is the Chief Technology Officer for Digital Advisory in Microsoft's US West Region business, and in the US Retail & Consumer Goods Business. We're going to talk about different ways of approaching problems, and this idea of the "learn it all culture" vs the "know it all culture" - what this actually means and how to deploy curiosity at scale. We're going to talk about empathy and it's role in innovation, and finally, were going to talk about overcoming the barriers to innovation and how to build programs that can jump start organizational change, differentiation, and maybe even some re-direction. Technology has never been more important in our world - and understanding how to bring different thinking, mindsets, people, ideas, and cultures together, to stimulate new ideas, WILL be the future of how we create novel innovations and solutions for a very quickly evolving world. Oftentimes we're envisioning something that's possible that our customers haven't thought about, we're bringing a series of different types of capabilities together to rapidly move that journey forward because we don't want to spend years and years just dreaming about it. We want to make it real. We want to make it happen now!” - Jason Deskin[51:30] “If we're gonna create for the world, we have to be represented by the world” - Jason Deskin Resources:Contact Guests on LinkedInJason Deskin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasondeskin/Lisa Griego: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisa-griego/Surgeons Dilemma: http://atchub.net/diversity/the-surgeons-dilemma-a-test-for-unconscious-bias *The views and opinions expressed in this discussion are those of the guests and do not necessarily reflect the official position of their employer, Microsoft" ____ Thank you for listening! -------------------------------- Join the **New Monthly Newsletter** - Data Binge REFRESH: https://www.derekwesleyrussell.com/newsletter Interested in starting your own podcast? We understand that the State of Florida is not Congress. We also understand the concept of federalism: the powers that are not reserved to the national government rest with the states. But states cannot enact legislation that violates the US Constitution."More than fifty former world leaders have signed a letter released [Sunday] in support of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, or Nuclear Ban Treaty," NuclearBan.US said Monday. How will this affect all nations?"The death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has jolted the Trump campaign, offering the president a new message to seize on in the final weeks of his reelection pursuit," The Hill reported Tuesday. Can this work? Common Dreams reported Monday that a MoveOn.org petition "calling for her seat not to be filled until after the inauguration of the next president in January of 2021 has already received nearly 1.1 million signatures as organizers spent Monday tearing up the phone lines of the US Senate."So it looks like the US is using its forces to ping Russian forces and see what type of response it gets. Reporting Tuesday on recent US air and sea maneuvers near Russia's borders, Antiwar.com noted, "From the North, from the South, from the East and West US war planes are simultaneously being directed against Russian defenses to probe their effectiveness and score political points." What are we to make of this?"Funding any weapons program with a stopgap is unusual. $1.6 billion for two submarines may seem a quibble, but it is part of a $109.8 billion weapons program, which is expected to yield 12 submarines that won't begin patrols until the 2030s," Antiwar.com reported Monday about a recent funding bill from the House of Representatives. "In a world where nuclear submarines are less and less of an issue, this expensive of a program is very controversial, which is why the Navy is pushing so hard to save it. ""The coronavirus pandemic has fractured global relationships. But as director of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, [John] Nkengasong has helped to steer Africa's 54 countries into an alliance praised as responding better than some richer countries, including the United States," the Associated Press reported Tuesday. How big of a breakthrough is this for countries on the continent? "Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that Tehran has no plans of renegotiating the 2015 nuclear deal, stressing that Washington must return to the accord 'without condition,'" Middle East Eye reported Monday. What are we to make of these statements? Did the world follow the DNC? The Democrat Convention? It was a lot different this time around, as people practiced SAFE methods to help diminish the possibility of COVID19 growth, although “they say” it continues to grow. And now the President's sister has some scutter against her brother, but really, what is that going to do? Nothing. You ever have differences with your sibling that you told somebody? Hey….why don't we have WEST US and EAST US as two separate countries, like North & South Korea, or North & South Vietnam? In this episode, I delve into the emergence of “hate speech” laws and how they are not only ineffective but idiotic. They essentially amount to the crime of hurting someone’s feelings. That should not be a justifiable reason to prosecute someone. Also, with regards to the emergence of the far right and fascism, the West (US, UK) have their hands all over it. The violence they have inflicted on the world makes the Nazis look like choir boys. Hitler literally learned apartheid from the United States. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/blackpolitik/message

Lior Gantz joined us to discuss the inevitable shift of economic dominance from West (US) to East (China). It's no secret that China's economy is set to overtake the US economy in the not too distant future. China has a number of initiatives such as the Belt and Road project that will help cement its dominance for decades to come. But we're always reminded of the best laid plans of mice and men... China has been poised to achieve world dominance several times in the past and has always messed up at the last minute. Will this time be different?
