I was undiagnosed with a lot of my neurodivergences. I knew I was different but I didn't really know what queer was and when I did start realizing what that meant I lived in a culture and in a household where that was wrong and I struggled with a lot of things.Faith was one of those things. I've always had a deep and abiding love for the divine, for Jesus in particular, but I always felt like I was never good enough. And then one of my great aunts gave me a copy of The Secret of the Rosary by Saint Louis de Montfort.Everything changed. Then I read The Secret of Mary and True Devotion to Mary and all of his other works. I've read everything that is available from him in English. But one of the most powerful thoughts that he ever put into my head is the image of Mary as the [00:01:00] tree of life. So let's talk about that today on Creations Paths.Intro hello everybody, my name is Charlie. I'm a non binary sci fi fantasy writer and I'm joined today with my husband. Brian - New: Hello. Charlie- New: When we talk about the Tree of Life, there are a couple places that your mind might go to. You might go to the Kabbalistic Tree of the Sephiroth. That's awesome. You might think about the Crann Bethadh, the Celtic Tree of Life. You might think about the Garden of Eden. You might think about St. Bonaventure's wonderful book, The Tree of Life, which is kind of his retelling of the life of Jesus. And yeah, for me, my mind goes to all those places. But primarily, to this image [00:02:00] of Mary. As the tree of life. And this image is born out of the Hail Mary, out of the Ave Maria. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Which, by the way, used to be where the prayer stopped. So if you've ever prayed the Ave Maria and thought, it should stop there. It used to, and often when I say it, it still does. This image of the fruit of Mary, Jesus is the fruit of Mary, St. Louis de Montfort into this wonderful mystical theology of Mary as the tree of life and Jesus as the fruit that grows on that tree. The fruit of life, the food of life that gives us everlasting life. And so, in some of the more mystical passages of his writing, he tells us that we are, at the beginning of our faith, granted a seed for the tree, that we [00:03:00] plant within us, and we water it, we cultivate it, we help to remove the weeds from around it, so that Mary might keep growing.That eventually the tree will bear fruit. And Jesus will be born within us. this imagery saved me as a kid. I don't know if you, um, I grew up in the kind of evangelical cult world that I did. Evangelicalism is a cult. It is a high control group that shuns people who leave it. Trust me, I know.But perfectionism is so strong in these groups. You have to be perfect. You can't have made any mistakes. You can't have done any of the things that they classify as mistakes. They seem to be minting new mistakes that you can make all the time to help keep people in line and subservient. It's a dangerous, dangerous practice they have.The image of Mary, my prayers to Mary, [00:04:00] learning to say the Ave Maria, learning to pray the Rosary, really did root me. Into the divine in a way that I never had before. The image of Mary as the tree of life was so powerful for Because, like I've said a million times, I love Jesus. Jesus is my Ishta Devata.Jesus can be kinda hard to identify with, depending on how you want to put it. conceive of this person. In most schools of Christianity, this is a divine being born into the world to save it.I am not a divine being born into the world to save it. And I hope, in a lot of ways, none of y'all will. Consider yourself to find means for it in the world to save it. That's a, that's a lot of pressure. In many ways, that's too much pressure to put on any person.But that's hard for me to identify with. Mary, on the other hand, is a woman. Just a woman. We can talk about the doctrine of the [00:05:00] Immaculate Conception and how I think the visions of the words made that meaningful to me. It is not meaningful to me in any other way because I do not believe in original sin. So I don't believe that Mary had to be born without original sin. We can talk about that when the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes approaches in more detail. But Mary's relatable. She was just a girl going to the well when she got her call. Brian - New: She was a mother of a difficult child. We will just put it like that because, you gotta be honest. Even to sit back and go, Jesus is the perfectly behaved child, this is still a child that is not going to necessarily do what the parents tell them to do. This is not perfect in the construct of perfect in a parent mind as the child is not bothering me with questions at this point in time, or, disrupting the flow of cooking, or whatever it is. They were still a child. They still had questions. They still evoked thought. So yeah, they're still a mother.They still have motherly things. What is the [00:06:00] child up to? There is even a story in the Bible where Mary has a panic moment because her child is missing. And later finds him at the temple he runs off to the big city.He disappears in the big city like You know, you know, he's up to and even at the temple. He's still up to trouble. He's still causing a ruckus He's still disrupting life, you know Charlie- New: I'm just gonna bring that up because within the non canonical Gospels. We have all kinds of infant stories of Jesus where he, yes, very much a divine troublemaker.Very, very much a trickster figure in those stories. And I have a sweet spot in my heart for quite a few of them. But even in the canonical Gospels, like you were saying, we have only one story of Jesus's childhood in the canonical Gospels. And it's, he snuck away from his family. When they show up, he backtalks them. Well, where did you think I would be? Brian - New: The easy way to phrase this Problematic isn't necessarily a moral judgment of good or evil. It is [00:07:00] Problematic in a sense that's still disruptive, still does things that are unexpected Whether joyful or sad or whatever, you know any other later moral Attributions are given to it. It's still trying it's still testing. It's still challenging As all the mothers out there know.Charlie- New: We fly to your patronage, O Holy Mary. Never has it been known that anyone who asked anything from you had ever been turned away empty. Brian - New: One of the things that I found that helped make Mary and God so much more approachable. it is instinctual for us to be able to go to our mother, to be able to turn to our mother, and the concept of this is the mother, the mother of mothers, to be able to approach with problems, or questions, or concerns, and to know that they're going, like hopefully mothers do, they will Listen, and try to make it a teaching moment, and try to just comfort, and just, give [00:08:00] you that hug, without judgment.Charlie- New: Mary is the only figure that is mentioned at being there through all of the major events of the Gospels. Mary is of course there at the Annunciation and the birth, she's there at his baptism, she's there when he's preaching. She's there at several of the miracles. She's there at the crucifixion.She's there at the resurrection. And even in the book of Acts, the last time we have a canonical reference to her, she's there at the day of Pentecost with the apostles. She's there for all of it. She is this wonderful stand in for us as we're trying to learn this lesson of we are co creators with God.Because when you call Mary mother of God, people have Strong reactions to this. How could a human be a mother of God? But no, that, that's the point. We are here to live Christ, we are here in this world to be the body of Christ, to be that agent of justice and healing and peacemaking and [00:09:00] compassion and wisdom.That's what we're here for. Jesus says this over and over and over and over again. These are the things that we are called to do. To love our neighbor as ourselves, mary is the living embodiment of that. as St. Louis points out in his books, we have very few words from Mary. One is a beautiful prayer in which she talks about God throwing down all those who think that they are powerful and all the rich and Elevating those who are of lower estate in their eyes.Viva la revolution. She also shows up at the wedding at Cana . Whatever my son tells you, do it. There are very few quotes from her. The ones that we have are powerful. So what does it mean for us? You know I like my practical mysticism. I like my practical spirituality. Brian - New: For me, one of the things that it means, Mary Tree of Life, when realizing that and matching that with that symbolism, back to the Garden of Eden, you had the tree of the knowledge of good and [00:10:00] evil, and then you had the tree of life.The tree of life is without judgment. It is separate from knowing good and evil. So therefore it is separate from judgment. There is no judgment. And recognizing it's that mother figure that is accepting, teaching, informative, but all without judgment. When you look at her life and the stories and where she fits in the stories, she is there without judgment.That is so important, so powerful, and so helpful because so many of us experience Christianity from a more fundamentalist experience. Even the imperial experience is still with judgment. We're all damned sinners. We're going to go burn in hell. Therefore come join us. Or burn in hell.That's such a judgy statement. That's judgment. We're taught original sin. We're taught all these things about judgment and it makes Christianity itself so unapproachable. [00:11:00] That's what was so powerful for myself because in my journey, I was raised Christian, but I had fallen away from it because of all the judgment, because of a lot of the hypocrisy that I was seeing, because you're supposed to be following Christ's teachings, but then I looked at what the various churches I was involved with were doing, and the members of the church, and I was like, you're doing none of the stuff that Christ taught.Like, most of the things you're doing are opposite of that. And so, by that point in my life, I was just like, oh, this is all BS, a control thing. St. Louis, the Tree of Life, Imagery, and Mary made all that approachable again, That's that first thing when you think about approaching God and adding God back into, at least in my experience, back into my life.I was afraid because I didn't want all that judgment. If there was judgment, then I wasn't worthy, just in judging myself, the things I had done and, and were up to in my life. by those judgment standards, I wasn't worthy, but [00:12:00] through Mary, through the tree of life. There was no judgment, so I was able, it gave me that safe space where I could go and start having those conversations and move beyond and realizing the illusion, the Mara that was standing there, yelling at me, keeping me from moving forward and realizing that there was no Mara there in the first place.Charlie- New: I see a lot of discussion over Mary as a goddess. One of my favorite kind of devotional books to Brigid refers to Mary as a goddess in there. I'm not opposed to that language. I think that we are all part of the Elohim. We are all part of God in that way that I don't find that phrase offensive, but Mary is the mother of God.if we're going to go back to older pantheons, Mary is more akin to Danu or to Jebele than to just a goddess. She is the mother of God. She is the mother of [00:13:00] Elohim, right? She's the mother of the gods. she is the matrix in which we are formed into the image of Christ and really come into our Christhood.She is the one that forms us, this to me is where I see the Tree of Life image so powerfully, in so much of my own personal faith, Mary is the Shekhinah. Mary is the glory of God, the Shekhan, the tabernacle that covers. That's actually where the word Shekhinah comes from. The feminine aspect, the divine presence of God.It comes from the Hebrew word Shekhan, which literally means tabernacle. It's the tent that you would go into to pray. And that is Mary. Mary is that glorious presence of God. She is that shelter, that refuge that we go into. She is the tree of life under whose boughs we seek refuge. And even more than that, [00:14:00] the Shekhinah is one of the names for the 10th sephirot.On the Tree of Life there are the 10 circles, if you've seen the pictures of it. And the 10th one is sometimes called Malkuth, or Kingdom. But sometimes it's called Shekhinah. The Divine Presence.that is Mary. She is the root of the tree. She's also Kether. She's crowned, she is the top of the tree. Crowned in glory, queen of heaven, queen of the angels, queen of all hearts. She is the queen who opens the divine treasury so the graces of God may flow. As saint louis points out very beautifully in his books, No grace comes into this world except by her hands. And for those who are Christ only people, I know that phrase sounds frightening, scary, out of place. But remember, Christ's hands were formed in Mary. Those are the hands that came from our mother.We are [00:15:00] told that whoever follows the path is Jesus sibling, sister, brother, or mother. And this is the thing that we're learning when we're sitting under this glorious tree. This font of wisdom. This fountain of all graces. That is Our sweet Maria. Our Mari Stella. Our star of the sea.Everyone is equal in God. In the one life that flows throughout all the cosmos. We're all equal. No one is greater or lesser. Jesus tried to explain this to the sons of Zebedee when they were arguing over who would be first in the kingdom. And we will sit. At your right hand, in your kingdom.And Jesus answered very simply, Whoever wants to be first, will be last. And whoever wants to be greatest, must be servant of all.There is no hierarchy in the kingdom. The imperial [00:16:00] church really tries to cover this up and hide it and create all manner of hierarchy.But Jesus is making this very flat kingdom. There is no hierarchy here. So when we say Mary is Mother of God, that is a great gift of hers. It's also a great gift of ours. That's why this image of she is the tree of life planted within us, is so powerful. It reminds me, not only, of Jesus.Our sweet and blessed mother. But, that this is my calling as well. This is your calling. We are here to live God, to live Christ into the world. As Paul said, I struggle with you and labor my children until Christ be formed in you.That's the point, right? We're here to bring Christ here, not to go there. This to me is the greatest lie of the Imperial Church, right up there with original sin. That our goal and all of our labors [00:17:00] are for the afterlife.They're for here. They're for now.We need to bring the fruit of the tree of life here now. In this world. Not in the next. In this one. In whatever small or great ways that we can.We do that in Mary, with Mary, through Mary, and by Mary, which I've talked about before on this podcast a long time ago.But we do that through her hands. So we sit under those beautiful, beautiful bows that Our moving in the wind of the Holy Spirit. The leaves rustling gently over our heads. The divine light of God shining through, almost making the tree crystalline, glowing, full of life, rooted deep into our ground of being, rooted deep down Into the one life from which we all [00:18:00] came and to which we will all return.Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. And that's the power in this moment. That's the power in the entire practice. In everything that we do, we're watering that tree so that it will grow. But we're not just watering it with our kindness, with our joy, with our awe, our wonder, our letting go and letting be, our creativity, our celebration.Our justice making, our peacemaking. But we also go there to drink the waters of life that are ever flowing from its roots. We're told in the Book of Revelation that there is the tree, there is the tree of life, and the river of the waters of life pour forth from its roots.And that's where [00:19:00] we go to find that nourishment, to find that life. To find that meaning, that purpose.In my druidic practice, we often meditate and go into the sacred grove within. And right there, in my grove, every time, is that tree of life. It's one of the many trees around the circle. I can't tell you that it's an oak tree, or an olive tree, or a pine tree, or a cedar. Maple or Dogwood. It is the tree that it is when I go in there.But I always know it. It's the one that is filled with life. And often with light. It's often almost glowing. That's the one that I go and I sit down in front of. Or I stand near. Or I meet one of my guides or guardians at. It's a powerful image for visualization and meditation. It's one that really helps us understand our purpose and function in this world. Those deep [00:20:00] roots. Those high branches reaching up into the heavens.And that strong, sturdy trunk bridging the gap between them.It's a powerful image to me. And it's one that really means a lot.If it's not one that you're familiar with, I highly recommend that you play around with it. I really like the Latin, Prayer, Ave Maria, Mater misericordia. If you prefer English, Hail Mary, Mother of Mercy, Mother of Compassion. We really don't have a good translation for misericordia. It literally means Suffering Heart. Which to me is closer to our English word compassion to suffer with, to labor with. To me it's closer to compassion than mercy, butAve Maria, Regina Caeli, Hail Mary, Queen of Heaven. Whatever connects with you most, make up your own prayer. Don't say a prayer at all, just say it.See it in front of you. Or if you have trouble seeing it, go [00:21:00] outside and find a tree that just says, I am alive just sit with that tree in real space for a while.And just ponder The magic of its existence, its roots digging deep into the earth, and its branches reaching up to the heavens, and the strength and of its trunk. As it carries. The waters of life up. Into the branches. And the power of the light of God. Down. Into the. I hope that. This is an image that resonates with you. It's one that I. Every time thoughts come as to how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen, close that body's eyes... fold its hands in front of it, and go back down into that bowing, back into that Humbleness.   Bow back into God, back into your Shelter, like you're ducking under the doorframe back inside where it's quiet, where there is no world, nothing to solve, nothing to fix, nothing to think about.  That's the point.   Not good humanhood, not bad humanhood, Christhood.   Make that your mantra for a week,   and when you're saying it, you're unseeing good people, you're unseeing bad people,  you're unseeing you, the 'people' you think you are, you're unseeing all the people, all the world. Only Christhood is here, which means only this Loving Awareness is here, and you feel that Loving Awareness,  you be that Loving Awareness, Only,  Formless,  Silent,   and that heals,   that feeds,   that pays,   that's love,   that's all. You feel different because you are different.  It's hard for you to do the things that other people do, the routines that other people have, because you're not other people.  You're not a people. So stop trying to be a people. Stop trying to fit in. Stop trying to keep up. You live this Christhood, and you be your own, you be His own,  and you'll lift everyone with you.  You'll bring everyone with you, but you're not focusing on them-- that's just the side effect.  You just chant and mind your business.  You feel love where you see yourself,  where you see others,  and you mind your business. You see your business, and you feel Love,  that's how you mind your business.  And the right actions happen, but really nothing is happening. Every moment not in Christ, not as The Conscious Christ realized is a moment that has no real exist-ence. And if there happens to be fifty years of such moments then it is fifty years of unreal existence. Again, where do you go to live in your Christhood? You don't. You shed the belief that you are something else. You start with you. You cannot behold Christ in anyone until you have started with you. You have Infinity to give and if you are withholding that Infinity from your experience, you cannot find it even for yourself. Now, if we were to make a full-time commitment to our own Christhood, it would run something like this: Your telephone rings, and you say, Hello this is Will or this is Frank, or this is Dorothy, and then the other person identifies himself and you have a little conversation. Now, at that moment you have been caught unprepared, and you have not witnessed The Christ of the one on the other side of the phone. They have caught you unprepared and they have caught you in a human consciousness. You are not living in Reality at that moment. Whatever you say to the one on the other side of that line, whatever they say to you, is valueless in the true creation. It is something that will pass, it is not Christ centered. And so one of the major lessons and the most difficult to learn is to be alert to Christ. So that, you are always in the Consciousness that where you are the Light of Christ Is, and that is all that is there. And further, that the Light of Christ is everywhere, Now. So that the first phone that rings in your house, when you pick up that phone to respond you must consciously know The Christ is always here and The Christ is all that is there. When you are willing to make this preparation, this alertness, then you are beginning your full-time commitment to Christ and you are really taking the Two Commandments seriously. You will find that the moment someone on the other end of the line says something you don't like, if you are in this conscious awareness, that only the Light of Christ can be present, something in you will recognize the Life on the other side of that line and literally give Life to that individual. You only give what is there. And then your full-time commitment in Christ as the recognition of The Christ of all those you encounter, whether visibly or on the phone or wherever or however, even writing a letter, becomes an experience in Christhood. And what comes back to you is your own commitment to Christ. I'm intuitive and have been studying spirituality for many years from my own perspective and divine archives and the conclusion that I've drawn is that spirituality is really a compendium of experiences and lessons for the soul. My spiritual foundation was constructed on these lessons and knowledge that I've curated and put in my divine archives to use on a daily basis. I grew up Catholic, but I wasn't able to embrace the faith because some things just didn't sound right to me: Some of the stories that are told and perpetuated by the Catholic religion just didn't feel right. But, I always felt like there was something more that I needed to know about. Behind the scenes I developed a very close relationship to “Jesus energy” or “the Christ Consciousness energy”, to me it's the most pure energy that exists and is available to us. Through my studies I believe that Jesus was who we called Christ, but I believe that there have been many Christs. In fact, I believe that the next coming of Christ is really about us stepping into our own Christhood, seeing ourselves as Jesus or a God. I think we're always guided by spirit, our own inner spirit and grand inner spirit. We're actually programmed to be guided by this higher guiding force or light, but the burden is on us to actually discover who and what we are as an individual. My studies have also been around how the human energy field is constructed. Grace allows us to be more, see more and know more about Who We Are.We're not always able to see that which we are seeking. Perhaps we cannot recognize a loved one when they change because our perspective is limited. We must either adjust to who they have become or create a new relationship with them. We need to be okay with the change.There is grief when a loved one dies or when our relationship changes from what it was to something we're not sure about. That does not change our love for them. Weeping indicates a longing for what was. Our relationship with our loved one does not have to end because their time on the planet has ended.We bless everyone in Ukraine or in any war - a war with disease, a war with vitality, a war with a virus or a weapon of any kind.Once I am without the need of a body, I'm out of here. My Spirit gets to be wherever it needs to be. I'm not gone.Relationships are for our transformation. The positions of the angels in the sepulcher show us there is a message for our minds (head) and there is an understanding to be acquired (feet). The head represents the crown. The crown is our connection with Spirit. I get to be present with the Spirit and the understanding. Angels (messengers) remind us of our Christhood.Beyond religiosity, the Substance of Spirit is eternal. We are eternal beings. Whatever we gather from this journey on Earth, we get to take with us, without the baggage. Releasing expectations and understanding our Christhood free us to have a direct connection with Spirit. I call upon God's Name and on my own. God's Name is holy, but no holier than yours. To call upon His Name is but to call upon your own. A father gives his son his name, and thus identifies the son with him. His brothers share his name, and thus are they united in a bond to which they turn for their identity. Your Father's Name reminds you who you are, even within a world that does not know; even though you have not remembered it. God's Name can not be heard without response, nor said without an echo in the mind that calls you to remember. Say His Name, and you invite the angels to surround the ground on which you stand, and sing to you as they spread out their wings to keep you safe, and shelter you from every worldly thought that would intrude upon your holiness. Repeat God's Name, and all the world responds by laying down illusions. Every dream the world holds dear has suddenly gone by, and where it seemed to stand you find a star; a miracle of grace. The sick arise, healed of their sickly thoughts. The blind can see; the deaf can hear. The sorrowful cast off their mourning, and the tears of pain are dried as happy laughter comes to bless the world. Repeat the Name of God, and little names have lost their meaning. No temptation but becomes a nameless and unwanted thing before God's Name. Repeat His Name, and see how easily you will forget the names of all the gods you valued. They have lost the name of god you gave them. They become anonymous and valueless to you, although before you let the Name of God replace their little names, you stood before them worshipfully, naming them as gods. Repeat the Name of God, and call upon your Self, Whose Name is His. Repeat His Name, and all the tiny, nameless things on earth slip into right perspective. Those who call upon the Name of God can not mistake the nameless for the Name, nor sin for grace, nor bodies for the holy Son of God. And should you join a brother as you sit with him in silence, and repeat God's Name along with him within your quiet mind, you have established there an altar which reaches to God Himself and to His Son. Practice but this today; repeat God's Name slowly again and still again. Become oblivious to every name but His. Hear nothing else. Let all your thoughts become anchored on This. No other word we use except at the beginning, when we say today's idea but once. And then God's Name becomes our only thought, our only word, the only thing that occupies our minds, the only wish we have, the only sound with any meaning, and the only Name of everything that we desire to see; of everything that we would call our own. Thus do we give an invitation which can never be refused. And God will come, and answer it Himself. Think not He hears the little prayers of those who call on Him with names of idols cherished by the world. They cannot reach Him thus. He cannot hear requests that He be not Himself, or that His Son receive another name than His. Repeat God's Name, and you acknowledge Him as sole Creator of reality. And you acknowledge also that His Son is part of Him, creating in His Name. Sit silently, and let His Name become the all-encompassing idea that holds your mind completely. Let all thoughts be still except this one. And to all other thoughts respond with this, and see God's Name replace the thousand little names you gave your thoughts, not realizing that there is one Name for all there is, and all that there will be. Today you can achieve a state in which you will experience the gift of grace. You can escape all bondage of the world, and give the world the same release you found. You can remember what the world forgot, and offer it your own remembering. You can accept today the part you play in its salvation, and your own as well. And both can be accomplished perfectly. Turn to the Name of God for your release, and it is given you. No prayer but this is necessary, for it holds them all within it. Words are insignificant, and all requests unneeded when God's Son calls on his Father's Name. His Father's Thoughts become his own. He makes his claim to all his Father gave, is giving still, and will forever give. He calls on Him to let all things he thought he made be nameless now, and in their place the holy Name of God becomes his judgment of their worthlessness. All little things are silent. Little sounds are soundless now. The little things of earth have disappeared. The universe consists of nothing but the Son of God, who calls upon his Father. And his Father's Voice gives answer in his Father's holy Name. In this eternal, still relationship, in which communication far transcends all words, and yet exceeds in depth and height whatever words could possibly convey, is peace eternal. If we are to ascend, we must put on our Christhood daily. It is not a once-and-done proposition. Instead, our emerging Christhood is a gradual process that advances by increments as we make good use of our free will and the opportunities we are given to balance our karma. Then, as our Christhood grows, we achieve greater and greater authority and dominion over every outer condition. Therefore, it is imperative that all sincere seekers and students of the ascended masters be continuously alert for opportunities to serve and to demonstrate mastery in daily affairs. Also, Christhood does not occur in a vacuum. It develops amidst the hustle and bustle of life. So, there will be ‘noise.' There will be distractions, opposition, tests and trials. This is all part of the path to becoming the Christ. Thankfully we have the example of the ascended masters to guide us. They have demonstrated their mastery of Cosmic Law, and they are uniquely qualified to show us the Way to Christhood.

Observing ourselves is always a good practice. In fact, self-examination and inner probing are essential activities of the spiritual seeker who is intent on gaining self-mastery. However, mastery is more than merely an academic pursuit. We're all imperfect. That's a given. And the ascended masters tell us that healing our psychology is vital to successfully navigating our spiritual path. Yet, sometimes, in our zeal to overcome our human foibles and limitations, our personal examination can become excessive, causing us to lose ourselves in self-concern. Instead, our mastery must be demonstrated. And this demonstration can best be achieved through service. Through our service to others, we may give them the momentum they need to overcome their own human limitations. So, love people free. Bless them with your Light. Celebrate the Christhood you share. The power of this vision will bring us all higher. And, in the doing, we come full circle to manifesting our own self-mastery.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the modern world, few can hear the cries of their souls. Often, in pursuit of comfort, pleasure, fame and fortune, people will actively stifle and suppress the soul's plaintive yearning. And what does the soul yearn for? To find peace, harmony and oneness. To forsake all else in the pursuit of God. And ultimately to overcome the world, complete its very long journey and ascend. The soul's journey of overcoming is the path of the Light within rising from the base-of-the-spine chakra eventually reaching the crown chakra. This is the path of self-mastery and personal Christhood which, very likely, has spanned many, many lifetimes. This journey of your soul that has led you surely to this moment. Now, the soul is crying out to the conscious mind to be ready when the final call comes to complete this journey. Recall the story of the wise virgins who kept their lamps trimmed in anticipation of the coming of the Lord to the temple. Readiness is all!

Within you is the seed and essence of all God's creation. It is your threefold flame, a divine spark of fire from God's own heart with which he endowed you in the beginning. This is the permanent reality of each of us! As we endeavor to embrace and walk the path of personal Christhood, it is our divine spark that sustains us through every step, through every test and trial, through every chapter in the unfolding saga of our soul. This divine spark - our threefold flame – is comprised of plumes of power (blue, the Father), wisdom (yellow, the Son) and love (pink, the Holy Spirit). One of the keys to attaining Christhood is balancing and expanding this threefold flame. This Holy Christ Flame is your birthright. This is the point of Light in the secret chamber of your heart that means you are a son and a daughter of God. And because you have the spark, you can one day contain and be the whole flame. So, when the divine spark, the threefold flame, is balanced…the Christ is born.

Walking the path of personal Christhood requires determination, discrimination and discernment. It is a glorious path, but challenging, too. And all of us who choose to embrace it must stay on our spiritual toes at all times if we are to make progress. For staying focused, good tools are always helpful, especially the practice of daily dynamic decrees. There are no better tools than decrees for tuning in with laser-sharp focus on anything that stands in the way of spiritual progress. Decrees help to harness spiritual energies with precision on any area of resistance or opposition. And one of the greatest sources of opposition is the Dweller on the Threshhold. The Dweller is the collective consciousness of all of our misdeeds, for all of our negative karma. The Dweller is tenacious. And confronting and overcoming the Dweller is something we all must do before our convergence with our Christhood is complete. Fortunately, the ascended masters know just how to win this battle!

For every sincere traveler on the spiritual path, choice is a constant companion. At every turn, there is a moment when we must decide which direction to take, which road to follow. For those of us who follow the path laid out so clearly by the ascended masters, we know that every choice we make ultimately merges with one overriding decision: to become the Christ! The Christ is our Real Self. And, as El Morya has told us, ‘The hour of Christhood in you is more important than any other event taking place on this planet.' This is what Jesus' mission was all about. He called us to become the Christ. This is a truly high and holy calling. It is the complete fulfillment of the Law. Whatever other goals and aspirations you may have for your life, choose to have this one goal supersede all others. When you find yourself at this most critical crossroads, let go of all else and strive to become the Christ. This is our purpose, our reason for being. It is God's greatest gift to us.

Throughout the Christian world, the Second Coming of the Christ is a widely held belief and fervently anticipated event. But Christians are not alone in this belief. Islam, for example, awaits the coming of Hadhrat Isa. Other religions and cultures have similar beliefs focused on the return of a savior or Christed One. So how close are we to this blessed event? Could the second coming actually be near? Consider the possibility that the real Second Coming is a uniquely personal event; that it is, in fact, the awakening of the Christ Self within each heart. So there's no more waiting. It is happening right now! The ascended masters teach us that it was Jesus' mission to demonstrate this principle of Christhood as a path that all may follow. It is the awareness of the Universal Christ that resides within each heart, the Sonship we all share, our true Reality and birthright. And it is our re-awakening to this Reality – to the Son of God in all – that is the true second coming.

Know ye not ye are Gods!? In the Gospel of John, in the book of Psalms and in cosmic law, itself, we are presented with the reality of our innate divinity. It is not an ‘if', nor a ‘maybe.' This is not some fanciful notion. This is the Reality we all share. So what stands in the way of our embracing this awesome truth? Most often, it comes down to our own sense of worthiness. In Western orthodoxy, for instance, many of us were raised to believe that we are born sinners. And how can anyone who comes into this world as a worthless sinner ever rise to the belief that he or she is godlike in any way? It's not easy. And one of the most commonly used tools of the fallen ones to keep us in the dark is condemnation. We tend to listen to and internalize criticism, condemnation and judgment. We question our innate goodness and oneness with God by agreeing with limiting beliefs. And we tend to get what we focus on. It's time to break this cycle and embrace the Truth. Starting now!

Every choice comes with a price. This is karma. We may think that we can dabble here and tarry there without consequence, but all action creates karma no matter what. And when payment comes due, there's no magic get-out-of-jail-free card. Taking a turn toward the psychic, even casually, can create a karmic debt that could take many incarnations to balance. So wisdom dictates caution and demands discernment. This has been a central thesis of our series examining false teachers, false teachings and the result of choosing the spiritual path we will follow. In other words, think twice before setting your foot on any path. Ask yourself, does this road lead up or down? Does this path expand God's consciousness within me and raise up the awareness of my Christhood? Even more importantly, does it lead me to become the Christ? Because nothing less is worthy of your soul, and the surest way Home is the path of the ascension, laid out with clarity and certainty by the ascended masters

You've just been handed the master key to the Universe, and now it is up to you to apply that key as you make progress on the path. Where do you begin? By bowing to the light of the Christ in your heart. Going inward to the secret chamber of your heart and kneeling before your Christ Self who dwells there is the journey without distance. And when you focus on your Christ Self through this journey of self-discovery and self-mastery, you need never fear getting lost. The beacon of your personal Christhood shines like a diamond, canceling and obliterating all shadow, guiding you Home unerringly and without fail. This is what we are here to do: become the Light…and ascend. The key: As above, so below.

Jesus has always known us and, consciously or unconsciously, we have always known him. We are forever joined through his intercession in the education and progression of our souls back to the heart of God. By his life and example, Jesus gave us the supreme gift: an understanding and recognition of our potential to be the Christ as he demonstrated. And he didn't stop there! As one of the great ascended masters and world teachers, Jesus continues to impart to us essential keys to the mastery of our souls and our eventual ascension in the light! In so doing, Jesus offers each of us a portion of his great attainment. In particular, he extends to us the gift of the resurrection flame. This is the gift that will revive our spirit, lift our consciousness and fill our souls and body temples with Light and Love. And because it is a gift, we are free to accept…or reject it. This has been the goal from the beginning. Climbing the ladder of discipleship is not easy. Yet, what it may lack in ease, it more than makes up for in the deep joy and bliss of oneness with God in the ascended state. The journey is worth whatever inconvenience we may encounter along the way, and we must always remember that we are co-creators with God. This is not merely an engaging concept. It is the literal truth, with all the implications of spiritual accountability that come with it. So, when we scale the heights of God consciousness and attain Christhood, we will have earned the right to say AMEN, it is done!

When, through dedication and consistent application of important spiritual lessons, the guru-chela (or student-teacher) relationship has blossomed and the chela has shown himself to be trustworthy, he becomes a friend of the master. Of course, the friendship between student and teacher in their respective roles is already well-established, but now the friend becomes a co-worker with the master. He becomes a true companion, helping to bear the master's cross, as well as the burden of his light. You see, the master needs true, reliable friends. And when the chela has demonstrated his willingness to sacrifice the ego and truly serve, he is accorded the status of friend. As the friend works diligently to bind the not-self and gain self-mastery, he merges with the master in consciousness. Through this oneness, the friend then becomes the brother of an ascended master, sharing the full momentum of his attainment, as well as portions of his mantle and authority! Next week: Christhood!

When we desire to affiliate with the ascended masters, there are five levels of initiation through which we pass, the first being student. In this time of study, students read, listen and learn. Most initiates on the path of the ascended masters are students. At this level, the individual begins sorting and sifting in an earnest search to find the right teacher. It's an exciting phase of the journey, but dangerous, too, for there are many teachers in the world. Some have more of the truth than others, and it can be difficult, until the student acquires sufficient discernment, to separate the wheat from the chaff. For protection, the sincere student is admonished to pray and ask for guidance. Once firmly on the path, the student graduates to chela, one who serves as a disciple of a master. In this guru-chela relationship, perhaps the culmination of lifetimes of searching, the chela receives important initiations, balances karma and seeks Christhood. Next week, Friend and Brother

Think of yourself as a master, as the Christ. Through every moment of each day, God is releasing to everyone on earth the same pure energy of His own nature, the essence of all Goodness. Yet the end result of this release which is impartially given is that one receives and amplifies it as a good steward, whereas another wastes it by pouring it out upon the ground. This final point of our series is to make it clear that we must practice living vigilance to countermand every human impulse which does not have the approval of our own Christ Self. This is the master image, one that we maintain, waking and sleeping, conscious or unconscious, that magnifies without limit our God plan for fulfilling our divine destiny and ‘putting on the Christ.' No one's human will has the capacity to attain Christhood. Only God in you can do that. Are you ready for this step? You most certainly are! Welcome to the realization that you are firmly on the path of becoming one with the Universal Christ.

When we make up our minds to seize the opportunity offered to us by the great spiritual masters to join them in the ascended state, there's nothing to be gained by looking back. It must be full speed ahead! We must point ourselves at the sun – and the Son behind the sun – hold on to our attainment, and keep on keeping on. How do we do that? By positioning ourselves every day as close to our Christ Selves and I AM Presence as possible. Thus, as our spiritual practice grows, as our momentum builds and as new opportunities come for our initiation and mastery, we gather more and more Light. We become like cosmic sponges soaking up the water of Life. Then, should we need it for ourselves or for some greater cause outside of ourselves, we will have it in abundance. Finally, this storehouse of Light, plus the momentum we've gained through applying the masters' teachings will bring us into oneness with our Christhood and I AM Presence…and we will have made it. We will be Home at last!

To achieve mastership on the path of initiation and put on our personal Christhood literally means that we must become God's apprentices. Nothing short of that goal should be acceptable. We don't want to get half way to God and then stop. We must aspire to have it all. To BE all! To reach the finish line. This is the motivation at the heart of our aspirations and initiations. This is the essence of discipleship. This is why we seek mastery. And if we surrender to the Will of God, we can cope with anything. So, as apprentices, we must work with God through every test and opportunity to achieve our mastery as ascended beings. Remember, God is a creator. He is the Doer. And as we apprentices use His energy, we create karma. And here's an amazing fact: God, too, has a karma! We are it. He made us. God's karma is His desiring to be light and love and beauty and wisdom within us. And when our apprenticeship is done, we will have mastered the fullness of this Divine Karma.

If we are to ascend, we must put on our Christhood daily. It is not a once-and-done proposition. Instead, our emerging Christhood is a gradual process that advances by increments as we make good use of our free will and the opportunities we are given to balance our karma. Then, as our Christhood grows, we achieve greater and greater authority and dominion over every outer condition. Therefore, it is imperative that all sincere seekers and students of the ascended masters be continuously alert for opportunities to serve and to demonstrate mastery in daily affairs. Also, Christhood does not occur in a vacuum. It develops amidst the hustle and bustle of life. So, there will be ‘noise.' There will be distractions, opposition, tests and trials. This is all part of the path to becoming the Christ. Thankfully we have the example of the ascended masters to guide us. They have demonstrated their mastery of Cosmic Law, and they are uniquely qualified to show us the Way to Christhood.

Observing ourselves is always a good practice. In fact, self-examination and inner probing are essential activities of the spiritual seeker who is intent on gaining self-mastery. However, mastery is more than merely an academic pursuit. We're all imperfect. That's a given. And the ascended masters tell us that healing our psychology is vital to successfully navigating our spiritual path. Yet, sometimes, in our zeal to overcome our human foibles and limitations, our personal examination can become excessive, causing us to lose ourselves in self-concern. Instead, our mastery must be demonstrated. And this demonstration can best be achieved through service. Through our service to others, we may give them the momentum they need to overcome their own human limitations. So, love people free. Bless them with your Light. Celebrate the Christhood you share. The power of this vision will bring us all higher. And, in the doing, we come full circle to manifesting our own self-mastery.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the modern world, few can hear the cries of their souls. Often, in pursuit of comfort, pleasure, fame and fortune, people will actively stifle and suppress the soul's plaintive yearning. And what does the soul yearn for? To find peace, harmony and oneness. When you awaken to the reality of the Christ within, you awaken something else, as well: the Dweller on the Threshold. This dweller can be understood as the anti-self or not-self…the antithesis of our Real Self.
