Together with multiple ICF Chapters, a program was designed that would support the coaching community, particularly ICF members to enhance their competencies. A joint team from ICF Germany, ICF France, ICF Ireland and ICF Romania, worked several weeks to put together all necessary steps to apply for a financing from the European Program – Erasmus Plus.
We need innovation more than ever. But we also need to be able to make it happen effectively, to be able to repeat the trick. There's too much at stake to trust to luck; we need to learn to manage the process. Which puts a premium on thinking about how we approach supporting the learning of these life skills for the future. How can we enable different learners in different contexts to master the craft of innovation? In this situation having a picture of the future and the ways in which we can help people master the craft of innovation becomes rather important. Not least because the future has yet to happen; the better we understand and explore it the more we can can identify desirable scenarios and then ‘back-cast' from them, roadmapping our way to relevant policy and practices which we can introduce today. That's the thinking behind the VISION project - a ‘Knowledge Alliance project within the EU's Erasmus Plus scheme. Using an integrated and proven suite of tools for systematically exploring the future the VISION team engaged with over 120 stakeholders, built a variety of scenarios and explored them in depth through workshops, webinars and other tools to create a detailed picture of the emerging challenges and opportunities in this space of learning facilitation around innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. This podcast is the first in a series which explores the landscape around learning to manage innovation in the future and shares some fo the insights from the research. You can find out more about the VISION project hereAnd read the transcript of this podcast hereThis project has been funded with support from the European Commission, Project Number: 612537-EPP-1-2019-1-SI-EPPKA2-KA.
Before the Covid-19 lockdown we travelled to Reims in France, the champagne region, to take part in an Erasmus Plus programme. We took some prosecco with us to see whether people could tell the difference between the prosecco and champagne. Back in Italy we ran the same test with Italians. In this the first part of 2 we are in Puglia for the Italian end of the test. In part 2 we will go back in time to February and switch location to Reims for the original taste test. We should say, we appreciate that describing champagne as "French" is unnecessary. Champagne only comes from France and is only champagne if it comes from the champagne region ...

Episode 9 of the #mfltwitterati podcast focuses on the power of international collaboration for promoting language learning and widening students' horizons. You'll hear a range of inspirational voices from the language teaching community at both primary and secondary levels showcasing many amazing examples of how global connections can make language learning more real and purposeful. Mentions of British Council programmes such as eTwinning, Connecting Classrooms and Erasmus Plus feature heavily throughout the episode and we sincerely thank all those kind teachers who have shared their reflections so generously. If you've ever been curious about how to find a partner school and set up some international collaboration opportunities for your students, this episode should provide you with plenty of food for thought on how to get started! Our TechTalk interview for this episode is a case in point and features Florentina Popescu and Marina Pozo who share many ways they have incorporated global connections into their classrooms. Charities, social media, PhD, research, Erasmus Programme, Glasgow, Poland, Portugal, Spain... and who knows? My name is Zuzanna Cejmer and I am a PhD Researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), United Kingdom. I have graduated in Poland, my country of origin, with a Master in Social Communication at Warsaw School of Life Sciences. Meanwhile, I have taken advantage of the Erasmus Programme, which has led me to University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal. This unforgettable experience increased my appetite for working abroad and getting to know new cultures. That is why I applied for International Internship funded by Erasmus Plus. I was working at the Polish Academy of Sciences at the time; anyway, I decided to keep finding my way for an international experience. I was very lucky to fall under Dr Dane Lukic supervision, who was the Coordinator of The Erasmus Mundus Intercultural Competence (EMIC) project funded by the European Commission Action 3. The project was coordinated from Glasgow Caledonian University in London. That is why I was able to network with people working at the university in both campuses, London and Glasgow. At this time I have met my present Director of Studies, Dr Irene Garcia Medina, who has encouraged me to apply for a PhD studentship at GCU. Her trust in me and continuous support has boosted my confidence, for which I will always be thankful. In March 2017, during my PhD Programme, I have decided to take advantage of Erasmus Plus once again. This is when I started working at University of Alicante in Spain as a part of over 3-month doctoral exchange allowing me to receive the title of International PhD after finishing my research. Under the supervision of Dr Felipe Ruiz, I was given a chance to be among highly experienced and extremely supportive academics. More info: @comtransmedia
