Conscious Creators Show — Make A Life Through Your Art Without Selling Your Soul
“Figure out — What is the business that you want to run? What's the level of involvement that you want to have? Make sure that your business model matches your psychological desire for your involvement with the business.” — Tim Geoffrion This week Sachit (@sachitgupta) chats with Blake La Grange (@blakelagrange) and Tim Geoffrion (@this.walking.life). Tim Geoffrion is an investor, consultant, and an executive leadership coach to small business leaders. Since starting his practice in 2020, Tim has partnered with the founders of over 20 start-ups to work through both the practical and interpersonal challenges of starting and scaling a new business. His work has included helping founders: determine initial equity splits, communicate more effectively with lawyers and bankers, mediate long standing conflicts, part ways with key employees, implement strategic planning processes, create long-term hiring plans, set-up financial tracking systems, negotiate license agreements, and prepare companies to sell themselves or raise venture capital funding. Blake, graduated high school early (16), started a self study through music, theology, real estate, and business. He became a record producer for a decade, then built an online mixing and mastering business which pivoted into the premiere online education business in the music industry. He scaled that business to a point where he was able to sell it. Through that journey, launched other successful offers online using other peoples experiences and expertise. He now works as a "record label" in the company Kollege, by finding underground talent and applying lessons learned from the info-product world to help create offers that help creators get paid to do what they love. Dr. Geoffrion completed her medical degree at McGill University and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. She then pursued subspecialty fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Calgary. Diana Geoffrion joins us on Java Chat to talk about the role that media should play in both a personal sense and a business sense. Originally from Wisconsin, she moved to Las Vegas nearly 20 years ago. Today, Diana works in business development marketing in the world of finance. In this episode, we delve into how social media should be a tool that shows who you truly are as a person or a brand. Your profile should be personal and convey what you truly are about. As Diana puts it, “perfection is such an illusion, and people are craving realness on these platforms more than ever.” Currently, Diana works at Cardinal Financial Company where she is a business development manager. Here, she helps realtors and lenders grow their business by sharing knowledge in social media, leadership and contract execution. I had the pleasure of having Charles Geoffrion on the podcast today. A very interesting and knowledgeable man, Charles is the Vice President of the Pima County Board of Health and is on the Board of Directors for Allied Bioscience. On top of all that - he's married to an artist, Moira Geoffrion, who we've done a podcast with and represent at Medicine Man Gallery. The first part of this podcast is all about the coronavirus, where it's going, what we should do, what's happening in Arizona as well as the world. The second half is more along the lines of a typical episode of the Art Dealer Diaries, as we dive into Charles and Moira's time in the Peace Corp, and what life is like for a research professional married to an artist/art professor. As many of you probably know, I was a physician before I got into the art game. I wanted to put the medical professional hat back on for an hour to provide some insight from a Health expert, Charles Geoffrion into the COVID19 pandemic, especially to our Tucson listeners, be also to those listening around the globe.
Michael Geoffrion is an AP History teacher who was voted Teacher of the Year in 2016 at Eustis High School. He talks with Doug about his love for history and the importance of working your passion. It's designed to be a brief and informative podcast for history students at all levels, from high school to college. Mr. Geoffrion can also be found at MrGeoffrion.com

Moira Geoffrion is a member of the UA sculpture faculty. Her work responds directly to the primal nature of the landscape and the varied responses of its populations to life within the desert's particularly stringent demands. Geoffrion, whose work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the United States, has public art works in Indiana and Arizona, with recent commissions for Tucson and the Town of Oro Valley. Sculptor Fred Borcherdt, a longtime Tucson resident, creates monumental sculptures in stone, steel and wood that reflect the human tendency to mark our presence on the land. He has been influenced by Native American artifacts and the land formations of the Catalina Mountains where he lives. The majority of his work is meant to be placed outside in the landscape in order to demonstrate visual kinship as well as to subject it to the forces of time. Christopher LaVoie earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture at the UA. The 25-year-old LaVoie was featured recently in his first solo show at Tucson's Dinnerware Gallery. La Voie's work relates to culture and landscape.
