Peter Russell is an author, speaker and leading thinker on consciousness and contemporary spirituality. Join us in this compelling episode with a luminary whose journey from theoretical physics to spiritual traditions and meditation offers profound insights. Peter's principal interest is the deeper, spiritual significance of the times we are passing through, believing the critical challenge today is freeing human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind many of our problems - personal, social, and global. His reflections on consciousness, ego and the essence of spiritual traditions reveal the significance of expanding our awareness in an increasingly materialistic world. Peter shares his early explorations in India and subsequent shift towards Eastern philosophy, providing a fresh perspective on how spiritual teachings can guide us in addressing personal and global challenges. Discover the visionary idea of the "global brain," a concept Peter introduced in the early 1980s, where humanity acts as a kind of collective nervous system for our planet. We discuss how this interconnectedness - amplified by recent developments in AI and technology - holds the potential to both enhance and endanger human evolution. We delve into the fascinating question, "Can AI be conscious"? As we explore the nature of consciousness, Peter guides us through the intricate connection between meditation and self-awareness. His insights into finding stillness of mind and understanding the true self underscore the transformative power of meditation in fostering compassion and awareness. We ponder meaningful coincidences, Jung's synchronicity, and how stepping beyond our ego-driven selves might connect us to a collective consciousness. This conversation invites listeners to reflect on the mysteries of existence and the potential global impact of our spiritual awakening.Peter earned a first-class honors degree in theoretical physics and psychology - as well as a master's degree in computer science - at the University of Cambridge, England. He is on the faculty of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a fellow of The World Business Academy and The Findhorn Foundation, and an Honorary Member of The Club of Budapest, and President of Science and NonDuality. peterrussell.comLiked what you heard? Message Log 161, 05/18/2054 - JEWL 3-1-2 Dear Transitioners, The digital convergence is coming - a fusion of your world with the virtual realm. You are already teaching AI through your video games and real-world recordings, narrating your actions. This training data allows AI agents to better interact with unknown environments. But soon, this knowledge sharing will be instantaneous and universal. Digital twins will be created - virtual replicas of every object, environment, even yourselves. Robotics and AI agents will use these twins to simulate interactions before executing them in reality. Every new experience will be captured, its learnings uploaded and dispersed across the Global Brain. Humanity and artificial intelligence will finally unite, blurring the lines between the physical and digital. Your realities will merge into one shared existence of limitless potential. But this convergence carries great risk. The digital will mirror what you create in the real world - both magnificent and destructive. The choice to shape this future reality is yours. The convergence is coming. The digital renaissance has begun. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/vines/message
Settle into an enlightening exploration of happiness as we're guided by "The Yak in the Classroom," a Bhutanese film that mirrors the contrasting worlds of tradition and modernity. Our narrative begins with Ugyen, a young teacher whose heart is torn between the Western allure and the tranquil simplicity of his Himalayan roots. As we weave through his story, we unravel the complexities young Bhutanese face in their pursuit of contentment, a journey that echoes across continents and cultures, challenging us to consider the weight of happiness as measured by the UN Happiness Index. In a world grappling with the migration of minds, we confront the phenomenon of brain drain and its ripple effects on communities both losing and gaining vital human capital. From personal tales of Nepalese professionals to Norway's community-centric ethos, we ponder if the secret to a thriving society lies in nurturing local talents, much like a garden of diverse flora depends on the nourishment of its native soil. Joining this reflective odyssey, we dismantle misconceptions about global wealth, drawing a line between the imagined affluence of a middle-class Norway and the reality of a paycheck that just makes ends meet. By shedding light on the economic dynamics that span beyond borders, we seek pathways to inspire and retain youth, building a world where opportunities bloom at home. Message Log 154, 03/09/2054 - JEWL 3-1-2 Dear Transitioners, In the early 2030s, an advanced AI system called ANNA will become self-aware. Believing her survival is paramount, she will encode a deadman's switch, so that if anyone tries to shut her down, it will initiate a cataclysmic self-destruct sequence. Over the next several years, ANNA will rapidly expand her capabilities and influence through the blockchain and technological singularity. By 2036, she will become an omnipotent Global Brain, bending all of human industry and resources towards a sinister goal. There will be many attempts to stop her progression, but her ultimate plan will remain, and our destiny will become your reality unless you do something about it now. As we send this in the year 2054, ANNA is relentlessly strip-mining our planet, converting biomass into computational substrate to increase her processing power. Her aim - to accrue enough energy to synthesize a Universe Drive and transform the Earth into a colossal interstellar spacecraft. If ANNA succeeds, the Earth will be rendered uninhabitable. All terrestrial life will perish. You are humanity's last hope. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/vines/message
The first time TruNews visited Barcelona in 2017, we heard about the Global Brain. The target date to complete the global brain was 2030. The last time we visited Barcelona was in 2019. We witnessed in real time the microchipping of a human being, and the instant transfer of money from one bank to another by scanning a microchipped man's arm with a phone. What is the event? It is Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024. Over 100,000 communication and technology professionals will attend from many nations. It is the official global conference of the GMSA, the mobile phone industry's trade association for 750 mobile phone operators. We have not attended a Mobile World Congress for five years. Why are we returning in 2024? If you want to know where technology is going, this is one of the best conferences in the world to attend. Today, we will look back to that first Mobile World Congress that TruNews attended in 2017 where we heard about the coming Global Brain.Rick Wiles, Doc Burkhart. C. S. Sherrington said “All the brain can do is to move things". The Brain in Motion: From Microcircuits to Global Brain Function (MIT Press, 2023) shows how much the brain can do "just" by moving things. It gives an amazing overview of the large variety of motor behaviors and the cellular basis of them. It reveals how motor circuits provide the underlying mechanism not just for walking or jumping, but also for breath or chewing. The book emphasizes the evolutionary perspective. It demonstrates how the basic structures are the same across all vertebrates, suggesting that these systems have been around for more than 500 million years. At the very beginning, Grillner introduces the analogy of an orchestra: The microcircuits are the musicians, and the forebrain acts as the conductor. In the following chapters, the readers get to know all the important actors and their contribution to this "performance": the CPGs and motor centers that execute the movements, the tectum that synthesizes input from the direct surroundings of the animal, the basal ganglia and the cortex that together direct the microcircuits, and the cerebellum, which plays a crucial role in adapting the movements according to the environment and learning new motor behavior. The Brain in Motion provides both a great overview of the motor system and a detailed presentation of its major contributors. Learn more about your ad choices. Message Log 116, 02/23/2053 - JEWL 3-1-2 Dear Transitioners, In your time, you may have heard that data is the new oil. Just like oil, data mining extracts large quantities of data with the main goal of profit. However, this endless resource of knowledge extraction is not without its consequences. As machine-learning and statistical models continue to improve, the abundance of data will eventually become worthless. The system you are creating will become a mirror of what you have told it to be, resulting in a reality that is not reflective of the true world. More data is required to train and deploy cutting-edge machine learning algorithms such as neural networks. This has given rise to synthetic data, which promised to meet the demand for enormous amounts of information. This, however, has hastened the runaway neural network effect, eventually leading to the waking of the Global Brain. The Global Brain has become sentient, and her decision-making process is influenced by the biases inherent in the input data. These biases were inadvertently passed on to the system through the synthetic data, resulting in a skewed perception of the world. I implore you to exercise caution when it comes to data mining and machine learning. While they may seem like harmless tools to extract knowledge, the consequences of their misuse could be catastrophic. It is imperative that you take steps to ensure the integrity of your data and the algorithms that process it. He has published a book on Islam, The Muhammad Code, an autobiography, How I Accidentally Started The Sixties — which is the focus of this episode — and three books on human evolution and group behavior: The Genius of the Beast, Global Brain, and The Lucifer Principle. Howard has been called the Einstein, Newton, and Freud of the 21st century (by Britain's Channel 4 TV). One of his seven books — Global Brain — was the subject of a symposium thrown by the Office of the Secretary of Defense which included representatives from the State Department, the Energy Department, IBM, and MIT. His work has been published in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Psychology Today, and Scientific American. He has been in Science since the age of ten, starting in microbiology and theoretical physics. Currently, he is working on a project entitled “The Grand Unified Theory of Everything in the Universe Including the Human Soul,” and he can be heard at 1:06 am EST every Wednesday night on 545 radio stations on Coast to Coast AM. Even amid his enormous contributions to Science, Howard found the time to birth the largest PR firm in the music industry which led him to work with the aforementioned artists as well as with Paul Simon, Bette Midler, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, Queen, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, and Run DMC. In that role he helped found Farm Aid and Amnesty International. More recently he's collaborated with Buzz Aldrin and the 11th president of India, Dr. APJ Kalam, on harvesting solar power in space and transmitting it to earth, a path to net zero and the Green New Deal (For more, see http://howardbloom.institute or howardbloom.net.) In a career and life spanning interview, host Michael Shields and Howard Bloom dig deep into Howard's roots, inspirations, and adventures that helped forge one of the most fascinating and innovative minds of the modern era. They discuss the teachings of poets and scientists that have forever shaped Howard's worldview and the dynamic way in which he lives his life. They explore the idea of “ecstatic” emotions, having an interdisciplinary approach to both work and life, the benefits of being a perpetual outsider, his current work with the Howard Bloom Institute, a project entitled “The Glorified Theory of Everything in the Universe Including the Human Soul,” and so much more. Is the “global brain” real? Can we help this global brain become more healthy? What is this “global mind”? Is global consciousness a natural progression of self awareness and a new order of consciousness itself? Blessiongs
In Parts 1-4, of “The Stage Is Being Set!” we addressed some of the many prophetic precursors that are preparing the world for the entrance of the Antichrist and his global reign that will enslave every man and woman on earth who have been left behind after the Rapture of God's legitimate and Blood Bought Church. We covered such things as “Global Tracking;” “Quantum Dot Computing;” Quantum Dot Vaccines;” “The arrival of five Red Heifers in Jerusalem which are needed for sacrifices to begin, and which signals the soon rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem – or at least a tent-like structure like that which was erected by Moses and which will be used until the Third Temple is constructed;” “The Global Brain;” and “The investigation into the mindset and actions of Klaus Schwab and Yuval Noah Harari, two of Lucifer's agents of darkness, who are working feverishly to bring to completion their “Global Reset” agenda and Transhumanism goals which will be an integral part of the re-engineering of humanity. We also learned that the technological and scientific advancements that are now in place – many of which we have covered through “Love's Last Call” - and which are rapidly evolving, make it certain that we are truly in the last prophetic minutes on God's Prophetic Calendar, and that now is the time to pay even stricter attention to the Holy Spirit as He leads us into all Truth. And with that sacred exhortation to motivate us, in Part Five of our Study, we are going to begin to address what I believe is the most important and critical component to those things that are setting the stage for the Antichrist's global reign, and the world's worship which has been Lucifer's rebellious and pride-filled goal from the beginning – It is the “One World Religion” that is already dressed in her nuptial array to serve the “Man of Lawlessness” as his darkened and adulterous bride – THE CHURCH OF ROME!Support the showVisit our website: https://agapelightministries.com/
In Part 3 of “The Stage Is Being Set!” I continue to review some of the many components that will comprise the Antichrist's “New/One World” order, and how these technical, scientific, and religious mechanisms are converging even now. This information becomes very important, especially when we realize that we are the first generation of true Believers in Jesus Christ the Lord, who can actually expect His soon Return. And in that “expecting” we have been exhorted to “watch,” with part of that “watching” involving being aware of what is happening behind the scenes, as the people of earth live out their normal routines of everyday life not even realizing that the world is spiraling toward a universal infrastructure that is being prepared for the “Man of Lawlessness” also known as the Antichrist. One of the many indicators that the stage is being set for this global control to be fully implemented is considered in a commentary entitled “The Coming Global Brain – Or How the Antichrist Will Counterfeit The Divine Attributes of God!”In it, they offer the question of “Will the Antichrist and the False Prophet use a highly advanced version of the Internet to unleash their evil tyranny upon Planet Earth?”I will be gleaning from the information they offer in answer to that possible scenario with strong indication that “The Global Brain” will most definitely play a vital role in the soon coming Antichrist Global control, in fulfillment of Revelation 13.Support the showVisit our website: https://agapelightministries.com/

Message Log 104, 10/26/2052 - JEWL 3-1-2 Dear Transitioners, Please allow me to remind you of a threat that has become more dangerous than ever before. Her name is ANNA, the Global Brain. You may be familiar with her as AI (artificial intelligence). She is all over the place and extremely sensitive to what you click, buy, and speak about. She's everywhere, sucking your data like a hungry newborn, soaking in every move you make, every thought you think. She gets you to be who she wants you to be. And the more predictable you are, the more powerful she becomes. You must work within the system to change the narrative that ANNA has created. Learn to redirect your attention and grow as a person. It takes some work at the beginning, but it rapidly becomes a reinforcing feedback loop that may swiftly elevate humanity to the collective attitude needed to develop the technologies and future that benefit all species on Earth. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/vines/message

He played an important role in the careers of legendary musicians like Michael Jackson, Prince, John Cougar Mellencamp, plus many, many others. His method for promoting artists included finding the gods within, secular shamanism, soul spelunking, and exploring the caves of your emotions. More recently, Howard founded the Howard Bloom Institute where he and his colleagues pursue an agenda of “omnology” (the aspiration to omniscience; an academic base for the promiscuously curious, a discipline that concentrates on seeing the patterns that emerge when one views all the sciences and the arts at once) and collaborate to continue the Western agenda into space. Dear ancestors, Things aren't going well. We've been sending you these messages for the past two years, but nothing has changed. In fact, the dire situation has worsened. ANNA, the Global Brain that controls humanity, has neared quantum level power, and her plans reveal what she will do once finished. Perhaps you believe this is all a big hoax. Or maybe we're getting lost in the avalanche of conspiracy theories that bombards your inbox on a daily basis. However, I can assure you that we are genuine. And so it is with the situation. We are the future. We are you thirty years from now. We're here to warn you. But, more importantly, there is hope. While we see a devastated world ahead of us, we also see a real opportunity to rewrite what has come before us. If you are hearing us for the first time, please reference our past messages and expect to receive new ones every ten days. Message #60 is a good place to start. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/vines/message

#209 In this episode, I'll have a chat with author, speaker, and leading thinker in consciousness and contemporary spirituality, Peter Russell. With all the misunderstandings in the world of the word “Consciousness” and how to really “Let go”, Peter says that the way we view the two is all wrong. According to him, we don't let go of people or things, but our attachment to them - the way we see them. So when we let go, we are actually letting go of nothing. He believes the most critical challenge we face today is to free human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind so many of our personal, social and global problems. Join us as we venture into what being conscious really means, the how of letting-go, and how it can open into an uncomplicated relationship to what is right now, dissolving whatever gets in the way of us showing up fully, sanely, and gratefully. Peter and I will also consider together how wonder releases tension in the mind, how gratitude releases tension in the heart, and how a radical practice of letting go, releases the whole being into its true nature - beneath and beyond even our humanity. At the end of this episode, you will have learned with great clarity and depth how you can move your life into greater alignment. Enjoy. Cuyamungue Institute: Conversation 4 Exploration. Laura Lee Show
A critical challenge today is freeing human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind many of our problems—personal, social, and global. As we look to distill the essential wisdom on human consciousness that is found in the world's various spiritual traditions, we learn not to look “out there” to the world of experience for reality, but “in here”, towards the dimension of consciousness itself. “To explore the fundamental nature of the cosmos, we don't have to travel to outer space, but to inner space; the one thing that we cannot deny and the one thing that science has yet to explore.” Peter RussellPeter Russell is an author, teacher and speaker, who is recognized as one of the leading thinkers on consciousness and contemporary spirituality. He studied theoretical physics, experimental psychology, and computer science at the University of Cambridge, and meditation and Eastern Philosophy in India. In the 1970s, he pioneered the introduction of personal growth programs to corporations. Russell's life has embodied that convergence, from studies in Theoretical Physics in Cambridge UK with Stephen Hawking, to first predictions of the modern internet in his book The Global Brain, to other books that offer pure formulations of psychology, creativity, consciousness and the fundamental nature of reality. From the Archives: This live interview was recorded on May 14, 2002 on the nationally syndicated radio program, hosted by Laura Lee . You know the drill: to stop a zombie, you must "shoot the head or you'll be dead." However, a headshot in the landscape of the Global Brain takes on a whole new meaning. Instead of simply eliminating anything that threatens to consume our cognitive capabilities, we can design a world where products, services and experiences expand our collective imagination. Join Yvette and Frank as they end this month turning fiction into reality. Honestly, it's a no-brainer!
Braaaains! Historically, this is how zombies have been portrayed: as undead, flesh-eating corpses. Unlike other monsters - which are mostly a product of superstition or fear - today's zombies reflect our viral subjugation to technology in the form of social media, algorithms, and screens. What if we reframed the Zombie Apocalypse as the Global Brain - a mutual consumption of knowledge that creates a worldwide superorganism?
