As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Bacinello has owned over 15 businesses in 9 different industries in both Canada and South Africa over the past 40 plus years and has garnered much knowledge and expertise in buying, selling, developing, and restructuring of privately held businesses. Through his own experiences, he recognizes that the process of selling or purchasing a business is a major undertaking. “There is a lot at stake, and it must be done right the first time. The alternative consequences can be not only costly, but devastating” he says. Mr. Bacinello's vast knowledge of divestitures, acquisitions, mergers, and succession has not only made him a subject matter expert, but earned him the reputation he currently enjoys as an authority on the subject and mentor to other professionals in both Canada, the US, and abroad. Mr. Bacinello lives with his spouse in Vancouver. He is a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), where he continues to serve in the capacity of director and past Chairman of the board and where he has served in several capacities including, Chair of the International Committee, President and Founder of the Canadian Chapter, Treasurer, Chairman of the Board, and more. He is the recipient of several prestigious rewards (see awards section below). He is also a certified instructor and teaches on the subject of valuations, and systematic processes in business brokerage. In addition to being an equity partner is multiple business enterprises including manufacturing, retail, and technology, he is also an active member in good standing of the M&A Source, the National Equipment and Business Brokers Institute, the BBB of BC, and the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He has co-hosted a weekly radio show on the Voice America Talk Radio Network entitled “Entrepreneurial Insights”, and has served on the board of various non-profit organizations including the Peace Arch Community Service, was a founding member and past President of the Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society, Founder and past unit leader of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 5 in Crescent Beach.
