Donald Trump has completely lost whatever was left of his mind after President Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday. Trump has gone ballistic on Truth Social accusing Democrats of launching a "coup" against Biden, accusing them of covering up Biden's health, and even demanding he get reimbursed for the money he spent attacking Biden. These are all clear signs that Trump is beyond angry and can't control his emotions, and he's scared to death about what the race could look like now. Also, from Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson all the way to The Heritage Foundation, conservatives are threatening to sue the Democratic Party after President Biden announced he was leaving the race. These Republicans believe that the Democrats are violating state nominating laws by switching their nominee, but they are completely ignoring the fact that Biden was NOT the "official" nominee of the Party yet. They are desperate to keep Biden on the ballot this year, as Farron explains.And in a recent interview with The Washington Post, a law professor from The University of North Carolina says that Judge Aileen Cannon engaged in "judicial malpractice" by ignoring the actual law and dismissing Donald Trump's documents case. The appeal is still pending at the 11th Circuit, but legal experts are almost completely in unison agreeing that the appellate court will likely overturn Cannon's decision - and possibly even remove her from the case altogether. Finally, diehard members of the MAGA cult have started tracking down people who made jokes about Donald Trump being shot, and they are doing everything they can to reveal these peoples' private information. Libs of TikTok is the name of a social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms run by a woman named Chaya Raichik. In just a few years it has catapulted from a relative unknown to a right-wing media force. Raichik mostly reposts videos, photos, and screenshots designed to stir the ire of her followers. The vast majority of her output concerns the LGBTQ community, for example calling out teachers for sharing their pronouns with students and hospitals for offering gender-affirming care. The accounts have been amplified by the likes of Joe Rogan, Glenn Greenwald, and other big names. The account's posts often include the names, social media handles, and other identifying information of its subjects, leading to harassment campaigns against the individuals and organizations it spotlights. Raichik's obsessions often go on to become mainstream topics of conservative discourse. She commands the attention of some of America's most powerful right-wing politicians, and her influence has empowered the account's conservative fanbase to threaten and protest children's hospitals, teachers, school districts, drag shows, and more. To get a better idea of the real world impact of Libs of Tik Tok, we are joined by Will Carless.
