Welcome back to LeatherBrainz! This week, we're recapping the madness that was Week 10 in the NFL! Join Scotty, Alan, and Slaps as we break down everything from Brock Purdy's rise to elite QB status to Jerry Jones's stadium (and sun) troubles in Dallas. Plus, we're digging into the Chiefs' seemingly endless luck and what may be the Cardinals' surprising resurgence. In This Episode: The Chiefs Keep Winning (Somehow) – Luck or skill? After a close game against the Broncos, the Chiefs might just be the luckiest team in sports. Brock Purdy is Elite – With over 350 yards and 2 TDs, Brock continues to shine, but Deebo vs. the long-snapper drama adds some spice. Ravens Squeeze By Bengals – Despite Burrow's huge stats, the Bengals' defense let them down again in a one-point loss. Can they still make the playoffs? Panthers vs. Giants at Sunrise – We all woke up early for… this? Congrats to Bryce Young for leading a win, but the game felt sleepy. Bills Win, Despite Injuries – Defense saves the day against the Colts, proving this is a championship-caliber Bills team. Are the Bears Done? – The Bears continue to struggle, and Caleb's protection issues have him looking rattled. Dallas Drama – Trey Lance makes an appearance, Jerry Jones loses it over stadium glare, and the Eagles prove they're legit by dismantling the Cowboys. Lions' Epic Comeback Against Texans – A 19-point second-half comeback highlights the Lions' resilience, but Scotty has a secret to share. Erica's Healthy Pet Ad

Author, business lady and skincare wizard (according to her customs card), Zoë Foster Blake is nothing short of prolific. Chatting with Hugh, Ryan and Josh in this Vulnerabilitea House, Zoë talks through the pressure and responsibility she felt during her loneliest time. Striking ‘luck' as a dirty word, Zoë's compulsion to be productive and produce ‘good work' has earned her a multitude of publishing awards for her numerous books, the production of one of her novels into a TV show, the stocking of her skincare brand Go-To in Mecca and Sephora, and a cult following. But something's gotta give when you're striving to have it all, and Zoë knows better than anyone how relationships, mental and physical health can all suffer when you're burn-out adjacent. Zoë preaches the importance of sleep, and discusses how she combats anxious thoughts before bedtime, as well as perimenopause (and how you're probably gaslighting yourself into thinking you aren't going through it). Zoë, what a joy. To watch this episode on YouTube, follow this link: https://youtu.be/cfaS-lIj9Mk
On the first episode of Three Ravens Series 5, we are back up in England's north west, exploring the history and folklore of Cumberland! We start off chatting about a few of the long-running famous folk festivals taking place at this time of year, including the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance and Widecombe Fair, after which we cavort on up to Cumberland. After chatting through some curious historical tidbits, including the weird history of Whitehaven, the unsettling depth of Lake Windermere, and an explanation of why being called a 'Jam Eater' is considered an insult north of the Lake District, Eleanor guides us through Cumberland's cuisine for this week's County Dish - and heads up: it's heavily reliant on rum, spices and sugar. Then we get stuck into some folklore! From the absolutely ridiculous cryptid 'The Cumbrian Dregpike" to the Hob Thross, the magical armband of St Bega to the county's many 'Lucks', there's loads to chat about, plus some excerpts from next Saturday's Local Legends interview with the lovely Stephen G. Rae, the Bard of Cumberland. Then it's on to the main event: Eleanor's story "The Last Touch." And it's one of her creepy ones...We really hope you enjoy the episode, and we'll be back on Thursday with a new Magic and Medicines episode about Tarot and a Patreon Exclusive ghost tour of Romney Marsh, all before next week's episode when Martin will be taking us on an adventure through the history and folklore of Dorset! The Three Ravens is an English Myth and Folklore podcast hosted by award-winning writers Martin Vaux and Eleanor Conlon.Released on Mondays, each weekly episode focuses on one of England's 39 historic counties, exploring the history, folklore and traditions of the area, from ghosts and mermaids to mythical monsters, half-forgotten heroes, bloody legends, and much, much more. Then, and most importantly, the pair take turns to tell a new version of an ancient story from that county - all before discussing what that tale might mean, where it might have come from, and the truths it reveals about England's hidden past...Bonus Episodes are released on Thursdays (Magic and Medicines about folk remedies and arcane spells, Three Ravens Bestiary about cryptids and mythical creatures, Dying Arts about endangered heritage crafts, and Something Wicked about folkloric true crime from across history) plus Local Legends episodes on Saturdays - interviews with acclaimed authors, folklorists, podcasters and historians with unique perspectives on that week's county. With a range of exclusive content on Patreon, too, including audio ghost tours, the Three Ravens Newsletter, and monthly Three Ravens Film Club episodes about folk horror films from across the decades, why not join us around the campfire and listen in?Learn more at www.threeravenspodcast.com, join our Patreon at www.patreon.com/threeravenspodcast, and find links to our social media channels here: https://linktr.ee/threeravenspodcast Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. In this week's Team Never Quit Podcast, Marcus brings Chef Brother Luck (his real name) to the table. Working in professional kitchens since the age of 14, and learning the rewards of hard work, passion, and determination, Brother Luck has earned celebrity status. However, his focus isn't on fame as much as it is on mentoring the next generation. He sees it as his responsibility – his give back. In this episode you will hear: Perseverance is everything. I was a student of the streets. I had no parental supervision to tell me no. I surrounded myself with drug dealers, gang bangers, and pimps because I idolized what they had: Money, Power, and Respect. Great leaders are good with people, they're good with their product, and they're good with money The word Chef means “Chief” and I've taken that to heart as a leader. I'm still a corner kid, I just have a corner office. Don't lead through fear. I discovered the world through food. My success is based on the success of other people. No one can validate you but you. I broke mentally which led to a suicide attempt because I didn't believe in myself. We create a perception wall. Here's the image I want you to see of me. I'm grateful to be an American. Your story isn't meant for you. It's meant to be heard by somebody else. What are you doing on a daily basis to take care of your mental state? Pressure is either gonna make a diamond or burst your pipe. We're blessed to live in this country and have the rights and freedoms that we have. I'm always gonna be genuine and I'm always gonna be present. Don't give up. You get one shot at this life. You can persevere beyond your situation. Many races have been stopped early due to poor weather but few have the drama that the 1975 Austrian Grand Prix had as Vittorio Brambilla won and spun in the rain. Here's the story of how the Monza gorilla roared and then slipped to victory.Link to classic teams with Joe. Between the high average speed, elevation and threat of rain in the Styrian hills, the Austrian Grand Prix is one of the classic venues for a chaotic race. Surprise Austrian GP wins are a common factor with Joe's retro teams, with March in 1975 and Penske in ‘76, and this week he's made it a hattrick with the winners from 1977, Shadow. Please write us a review on Apple iTunesWe have a channel on youtube, search for and subscribe to the race directors podcast to watch some of our content https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzMMvcSBwwd0jFpii6JOTSQ!Tell a friend about usIf you want to get involved in the show, please do follow us on Twitter @race_directors or like us on Facebook at The Race Directors Podcast, where we'll be posting updates, thoughts and memes throughout the season and beyond, and please do subscribe to us on whichever platform you choose to listen to the podcast on, we appreciate your support.
