Arketip Discs is a Barcelona-based vinyl and digital imprint co-founded by Spear and Makuto that has featured music by Reeko, Truncate, Temudo, ORBE and Eduardo De La Calle. Makuto is the label head from Spain with a growing reputation and who has kept his productions exclusively to Arketip Discs so far. “Sfera” is a hypnotic and atmospheric cut with modular accents and tones that morph and expand in sleek style. A. Morgan is from Manchester, UK and has been establishing his productions with revered releases on the likes of Jay Clarke's Blackaxon, Joton's Newrhythmic, Hans Bouffmyhre's Sleaze and Berlin's BCCO. “Vogue One” has a stripped-back style and groove focused rhythm with creative sound design and precise percussion highlights. VIL is known as a core member of the Portuguese outfit HAYES, and has released music on Ben Klock's Klockworks, Ben Sims' Hardgroove, Shlomi Aber's Be As One, and TWR72's Float amongst others. “The Reaction” has a shuffling and quirky rhythm with deep, floating chords and electric elements creating a unique vibe. Also from Spain, Psyk is the Non Series label owner whose back catalogue includes Tresor, Luke Slater's Mote Evolver, Scuba's Hotflush, Reeko's Mental Disorder and Chris Liebing's CLR to name only a few. Psyk's impressive remix of “The Reaction” succeeds in expanding distinct electric fragments from the original into a tapestry of organic, modular soundscapes. TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ MICHAL JABLONSKI Born in Warsaw, Michal has been closely associated with the club culture of the capital of Poland for over a dozen years. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. In music, he looks for something that is not obvious and still to discover. He is focus on his original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and monumental film music elements driven by energetic kick. He releases his music on VSK's CRS ltd, Secret Keywords or Newrhythmic recs. He and his partner run the Lost In Ether podcast series. About the release: Alarico is a young producer and dj from Milan born in 1999 and strongly shaped by late 90s/early 2000s techno by artists such as Glenn Wilson, Regis, Surgeon, Sterac and Mike Huckaby. Always seeking for groove and fast paced rhythms his style is deeply influenced by the old school era of Techno music, in this sense he wants to present his Ep on Newrhytmic Records with 4 raw and loopy cuts strictly made for clubs. "Cut Yo' Finger" is raw as it sounds. It's a very minimalistic track where groove is everything and few hi hats glues up the whole track driven by short decay percussions with a lot of rumble. "Fast Paced" is loopy and raw as well but with a bit more of a strange/trippy touch especially as soon as the pitched Rides enter the tracks. "Rotten" is the hardest of the ep. It's a track made out of a rolling bass sequence and a dissonant sequence made out of 3 violins, then hats and pads enter to create tension and a strange voice comes out of nowhere. "The Wanderer" has the aim to describe someone who is lost and wandering without a purpose while his life is passing by. The real protagonist of this track is the repeating bass sequence with a bit of Lfo and the chords in the background created using the same bass. As soon as the track goes a shaker with a slightly "off beat" hat sequence comes in and some violins enter the scene creating a climax. He has been cultivating his unique and powerful sound for well over a decade now and his platform is soon turning 10 years, spanning more than 50 releases and including the very best names in techno. CONTAINER PODCAST [24] JOTON Joton reaffirms in the genre he likes, with the one that most he is identified with and the one he blends as few rookies: dark techno, mixed with precision and speed. On special occasions and under the aka 'Sonny Crockett' Joton explores sounds from tech-house and electro, but he soon moves away from this aspect to focus on the purest techno. In 2005 he starts producing his own music and presents his 1st reference with Newrhythmic: a vinyl 12 " with Aitor Ronda. Since then Joton has grown to publish his work on international labels such as Fabric , Dynamic Reflection , Naked Lunch , Mastertraxx , Psychoskunk , Injected Poison Consumer Recreation Services , Parallel 125 , Ketra , Mono Basic Less N´ Less ... Joton opens 2014 with over 80 signed references, and among them there are collaborations with world-renowned producers such as Ben Sims , Oscar Mulero , Pacou , Paul Mac , Samuli Kemppi , Ben Gibson Grovskopa , A. Paul , Radial , Bas Mooy , Christian Wünsch , Jeroen Search... Joton is now indisputably a professional dj and producer. He finds the possibility, so long sounded to devote himself fully to music. As for work in the cabin: from 2005 shares space with devoted dj's as Kazu Kimura, Pepo or Exium ... and he continually learns from them. He runs with them their `tours’ around the peninsula.
