C'est une entreprise française, basée à Valence, dans la Drôme, qui pourrait bien transformer notre quotidien.Dracula Technologies, un nom à retenir, développe des modules photovoltaïques organiques, ou OPV, capables de générer de l'énergie à partir de la lumière ambiante. « Ces modules, que nous appelons photovoltaïques indoor, peuvent remplacer les piles classiques en fournissant une énergie renouvelable pour des objets domestiques », explique Jérôme Vernet, directeur des ventes et marketing de la société. Ces petits dispositifs pourraient bientôt alimenter des objets comme les télécommandes, les objets connectés des maisons intelligentes, ou encore les étiquettes électroniques dans les supermarchés. L'avantage majeur de ces modules OPV réside dans leur capacité à se recharger en permanence sous la lumière ambiante, rendant obsolète l'utilisation de piles traditionnelles. Mais ce n'est pas tout : ces dispositifs sont aussi écologiques. « Nous utilisons des matériaux organiques et recyclables en fin de vie. Il ne faut qu'un gramme de matière pour produire un mètre carré d'OPV », précise Brice Cruchon, PDG de Dracula Technologies, avec enthousiasme. Après dix ans de recherche, l'entreprise passe à la vitesse supérieure avec l'ouverture d'une usine capable de produire jusqu'à 150 millions de cm² de dispositifs par an. El tramo de ampliación de capital (OPS) será de 1.250 millones para pagar las compras de Charlotte Tilbury y Byredo. Es el mayor estreno bursátil desde Aena en 2015.  El grupo de fragancias, cosmética y moda, especializado en el sector de la belleza prémium, está cumpliendo por ahora con todos los plazos de la operación y tiene previsto debutar en el parqué en los primeros días de mayo. Se espera que la compañía alcance un valor empresa en el entorno de los 15.000 millones de euros. La previsión es que coloque alrededor del 25% de los derechos económicos de la empresa, pero apenas el 5% de los políticos, gracias a la estructura de acciones de clase A y B. In this exciting episode of Vanguard Radio, J. Richard Jones speaks with Derek Buxton, VP Business Development & Ottawa about the Vigilance Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel, and the importance of the proposed Team Canada approach. Derek Buxton has 32 years of combined service with the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard and is currently spearheading the development of new opportunities for VARD in the global government shipbuilding sector. After completing his engineering degree at the Royal Military College of Canada, Derek started his career in the military serving in many sea-going and shore-based roles. He spent four years on exchange duties in Australia with the COLLINS Class submarine program, and subsequently worked on the acquisition and in-service support of Canada's VICTORIA Class submarines upon his return to Canada. He then finished his military career in 2007 as the design authority for submarine platform systems. Derek spent eleven years with the Canadian Coast Guard in key leadership roles supporting its renewal program, and most recently was responsible for the requirements definition and concept development for the Coast Guard's future fleet. Vard Marine Inc. is a consulting naval architecture and marine engineering company established in 1983 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of VARD Group AS in Norway, a Fincantieri company. These partnerships provide for access to design and construction databases from both VARD Group and Fincantieri that can be utilized in projects worldwide. In this podcast episode, MRS Bulletin's Laura Leay interviews Yang Yang and Yepin Zhao of the University of California, Los Angeles about a dual-function p-type soft interlayer they developed to enhance efficiency of charge transfer in organic solar cells. With the introduction of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) as the p-type material, the researchers are able to improve the efficiency of the device as well as change its optical distribution. One goal for such a device, they say, is to create a greenhouse that generates its own electricity. This study is published in ACS Nano (doi:10.1021/acsnano.1c09018).

Grace is a 29 year old American adoptee. During her time in an orphanage she was missed during polio vaccinations and caught polio as an infant.
