Something extraordinary is happening on college campuses across America. While headlines often focus on political activism or social trends among Gen Z, a powerful spiritual awakening is taking root that deserves our attention.UniteUS represents the latest wave in this movement - a structured revival approach that's quickly spreading from campus to campus with remarkable results. We traveled to Baylor University to witness UniteUS firsthand, giving you a front-row seat to what God is doing. That night, approximately 250 students made decisions for Christ, including an atheist who had simply followed the crowd to the event. But perhaps most remarkable were the hundreds of students who flooded the stage when challenged to commit to ministry and missions. We interviewed Matt Baksa, a Baylor senior who's foregoing law school to pursue missions among unreached people groups in Africa. His story represents countless others making radical decisions in response to God's call. "There are 3.4 billion people that will never have the opportunity to even accept the possibility [of knowing Christ] without us going to tell them," Matt explained, capturing the urgency motivating this generation.Whether you're curious about spiritual movements among Gen Z, seeking encouragement about the future of faith in America, or feeling the stirring to answer a similar call, this episode offers a glimpse into what could be the beginning of a significant spiritual awakening. Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in a few days. What a list of names the Sox get to choose from for their starting staff. And how about those catching options? Wow. Utility man folk hero, Danny Mendick, was issued a non-roster invitation and will try to recapture the TWTW from a few seasons ago. Also, there were new renderings of the South Loop stadium and the lack of parking opportunities seemed to have caused a stir. Thank you for the continued support. This is Episode 143 and our guest is Jenny Owen Youngs. Jenny is a singer, songwriter, author, and podcaster originally from New Jersey who now makes her home in Maine. She has written mega hits for the likes of Pitbull and Panic! At the Disco, but my introduction to her music was at Jack Rabbits, a small rock club in Jacksonville, FL, ten years ago. Jenny stood out on a stage that included heavyweight songwriters Chuck Ragan and Rocky Votolato. Her songs have been featured in the likes of Bojack Horseman, Grey's Anatomy, and Weeds. Her Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast Buffering has spawned its own subculture. It has been over a decade since Jenny's last full length solo record but the wait is over this September. Her gorgeous collection of songs “Avalanche” is out on September 22, 2023. It is a stunning album that showcases all of what makes Jenny Owen Youngs a special creative human. For an hour and a half on Friday evening, it was as if the 2020 election had never ended. "Tell me, who’s your president?" asked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. “Donald Trump!” the crowd shouted. Did anyone believe that Joe Biden had won the election? “No!” they roared back. In a ballroom in central Florida, two embattled Republicans, Reps. Matt Gaetz and Greene, were on a mission to recreate the magic of the Trump era.

Nathan, Nick, & Caleb return with a truly stacked episode! First, the lads react to the fallout from Real Madrid's chaotic 2-1 win in El Clásico & discuss how this result could shape the extremely tight La Liga title race. Caleb gives his thoughts from a Barcelona perspective, before Nick breaks down the true battle of the weekend: Zinedine Zidane vs inclement weather. The crew give their thoughts on the state of play in the Champions League, from the refereeing controversy in Dortmund vs Man City, Liverpool's first half collapse in Madrid, & the no holds barred spectacle that was Bayern vs PSG. They also glance at the weekend's results in the Premier League, speculate on how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can build on his much improved United side, & praise the astonishing rejuvenation of Jesse Lingard at West Ham. Lastly, the group close with a serious discussion surrounding the events which have played out in the wake of allegations of racial abuse perpetrated by Cadiz's Juan Cala against Mouktar Diakhaby of Valencia. They react to the overall poor handling of the situation by La Liga, & share thoughts on what needs to change in the structure of global soccer in order for players to be better protected. We had the pleasure of interviewing Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music from the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach CA! ** This interview was recorded prior to the COVID-19 pandemic ** With his emotional and gravel-coated bellow, vocalist/guitarist Chuck Ragan made a name for himself as one-fourth of the much-loved Gainesville post-hardcore outfit Hot Water Music before releasing his first solo album in 2007. Alongside friends Chris Wollard, Jason Black, and George Rebelo, Ragan formed Hot Water Music in the early '90s. Through a slew of well-received albums for labels like No Idea, Doghouse, and Epitaph -- and an incessant grassroots touring regime -- the passionate crew turned itself into a highly respected and influential act on the underground scene. Outside of his main gig, Ragan also recorded two side albums with some friends, including the stripped-down rock of Rumbleseat and the punk-oriented Cro(w)s. In the spring of 2005, Hot Water Music went on an indefinite hiatus, largely spurred by Ragan's desire to spend time outside of the band with his growing family. The group's other members went on playing music together (soon forming the Draft), while Ragan concentrated on his home life and, eventually, writing some acoustic-based material. Hot Water Music officially closed up shop in May 2006, and Ragan began playing various shows solo, logging time by the year's end alongside acts like Dustin Kensrue, Flogging Molly, the Lawrence Arms, Rob Huddleston, and Tim Barry. Ragan (who was a carpenter by day) signed with California indie SideOneDummy Records in early 2007 for the May release of his intimate debut, Los Feliz. Recorded live on February 19, 2007 at Tangiers in Los Feliz, California, the album features Ragan armed with just an acoustic guitar and harmonica, and occasionally joined on-stage by Ted Hutt and Jon Gaunt. Ragan also set up a "singles club" with his buddies at No Idea, sending subscribers a new 7" (six total) every month or so from September 2006 to June 2007. In 2008 Ragan launched the Revival Tour, a long-running, internationally acclaimed acoustic collaboration that's featured a revolving door of talented musicians from the alt-country, bluegrass, and punk scenes over the years. He released his second solo outing, Gold Country, the following year and the Christopher Thorn-produced Covering Ground in 2011, and reunited with Hot Water Music in 2012 for the album Exister. Till Midnight, his fourth solo long-player, followed in early 2014. A year later he and songwriter Rocky Voltolato released a split EP entitled Kindred Spirit on Side One Dummy. ~ Corey Apar, Rovi We want to hear from you! Hello People, welcome to the When In Yorkshire Podcast! I hope you’re all safe and as well as can be expected in these crazy times. It’s been a while since the last episode due to technical difficulties with my laptop and also having to adjust to lockdown life but I have a few pre recorded episodes from back when gigs and going out were still a thing so I will be releasing these over the next few weeks. This is episode Forty and features a conversation with American singer songwriter Dave Hause, we recorded this a few months ago when going out was still a thing and we had no idea of what was to come. As mentioned in our conversation I first came across Dave when I found a video of him performing as part of the Revival Tour with Brian Fallon, Chuck Regan and many other, and they all looked to be having the best time. There are many videos on the YouTube check them out if you’re not familiar with them. Dave was really open and talks about his upbringing and how he got in to music, his past bands and what it’s like touring with his brother as well as life with his young family. We met in the Left Bank venue in Leeds whilst he was on tour and this was a special venue which was sold out and I was delighted to see it was an all ages show attended by so many families. It was great to see multiple generations enjoying the music. check out Dave’s social media and website for future tours, releases and all other related fun. http://www.davehause.com

So it seemed fitting that for the second edition I visit the home of his co-conspirator Jenny Owen Youngs.I’m guessing most of the people who have followed my music journalism “career” over the years are familiar with Jenny from her time on the Revival Tour with Chuck Ragan, Frank Turner, and Tim Barry. (Actually, funny enough, seven years ago this week I put on a show in Brooklyn that Jenny played and did a cover of “Ring of Fire” with Brian Fallon which I still think is pretty cool.) Jenny has had several interesting personal and professional endeavors in the years since which have kept her from releasing new music. But! She has a new EP out this week called Night Shift so it seemed like a good time to chat. Over the course of this episode we talked about:Why she likes Chris Farren more than me.The runaway success of her Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast and the unexpected community that has grown out of it.How she got hooked up with Chuck Ragan in the first place.Writing songs for artists like Panic! at the Disco and Pitbull. The performative benefits of beta blockers. How to get creatively JACKED.Red Lobster.Listen above and then check out Night Shift. www.youtube.com/wrongthinkradio www.wrongthinkradio.com www.facebook.com/wrongthinkradio in 2008 audiences gathered to relive their nostaliga for one of the greatest action/adventure heroes of all time Indiana Jones, and those audiences were delivered the lackluster "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". What does that have to do with politics? Much like Hollywood's sad attempts to monetize on our fond memories from the past, and since liberalism is created in a Hollywood basement, the Russiagate revival tour happening today with Mueller's testimony before Congress today has the trappings to the sequel nobody wanted to a movie we all regret, like the Deuce Bigelow: European gigolo of politics. Democrats hope to revive the dead conspiracy of Russian collusion and a stolen election that brought us moments like the women's march or Rashida Tlaib's profanity laden calls for impeachment. With the struggling Democrat party failing to grab headlines for their 2020 candidates that don't involve Beto O'Rourke doing push-ups in an airport or Cory Booker trying to convince a late night audience that he totally has testosterone coupled with offers of free everything, especially if you're an illegal alien, the Democrat party needs a revival tour, Robert Mueller is their Shia LeBouf and they're hoping to get the #resistance back together for another tour hoping Trump derangement and media propaganda will fill the void of actual coherent policy that isn't blatant pandering and racial division. The Mueller testimony is nothing but an attempt to create innuendo and muddy the waters of the Mueller report which found no collusion. It's a sad attempt to create discord among the American people by convincing the Democrats' liberal base that that the 2016 election was stolen from them by a hostile foreign power, and Trump and his supporters are in fact, russian agents working for the Kremlin. The rhetoric alone exists to create a wedge between Americans and create talking points in the media that can make any dissenting opinion about the Democrat party part of a "Russian misinformation campaign" or any criticism of their policies on social media be the actions of "Russian bots". The Democrats know they can create hysteria among their most devote acolytes and their media lapdogs, the hope being that social media will become a series of liberals calling anyone who disagrees with them a treasonous Russian agent and even co-opt big tech to silence Conservatives stating fear of "election meddling", all the while curating google search results to only show news stories about Cory Booker's testosterone, Pete Buttigieg's favorite Madonna album, or Kamala Harris' hot sauce collection. Brace yourselves ladies and gentlemen, if you thought the cognitive dissonance was bad before, it's going into overdrive for the 2020 election, and this kangaroo court for Muelller is merely part of the DNC revival tour. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Liam is at Slam Dunk Festival where he sat down with Joey Cape. Most punks will know Joey as the vocalist for 'Lagwagon', but some will also know him as the guitarist for the punk-rock super cover band 'Me First and the Gimme Gimmes'. You might not know that he was also the lead vocalist for the experimental group, 'Bad Astronaut', until they disbanded due to the death of two drummers. Joey has also released several solo albums; one of which is available to pre-order now via this link. In this episode, you will hear Liam and Joey discuss the final season of Game Of Thrones (SPOILER ALERT!). Joey talks about being the wrong height for the mosh pit and how Fat Mike thought 'Lagwagon' were "too metal" when the band became the first artists to be signed to Fat Wreck Chords. You will also hear about Joey being a little pissed off at first of the success of 'Me First and the Gimme Gimmes' and how 'Ruin Jonny's Bar Mitzvah' is still making Joey smile 15 years after its release. Joey relives the Revival Tour 10 years on when he played with the likes of Chuck Ragan, Frank Turner and At The Drive In's Jim Ward. They finish up with Liam asking Joey to talk about 'Bad Astronaut', and the deaths of Derrick Plourde and Erik Herzog (both former drummers of the band) and that leads to them talking about the death of Tony Sly and mental health. As always your band play out the show and this week is a band from Helsinki, Finland called TERESA BANKS so stick around for that. WHAT? FOR ENGLISH-SPEAKERS: Unfortunately we've messed up the first part of the interview. The part where Brian is talking starts at minute 4.
