O-Ton Klingbeil: laber laber Ende Juni haben wir eine Hitzewelle der Superlative erlebt: 41,8 °C in Sachsen-Anhalt, der höchste je in Deutschland gemessene Wert. Jetzt liegt die erste Bilanz vor: Nach Schätzungen des Robert-Koch-Instituts (RKI) sind allein durch diese Hitzewelle rund 5.100 Menschen gestorben. Das ist mehr, als die vergangenen drei Jahre zusammen an hitzebedingten Todesfällen zählten. Das ist nicht einfach Wetter. Das ist die Klimakrise. Hitze trifft uns alle – aber nicht alle gleich hart. Wer im Pflegeheim lebt, draußen arbeitet oder noch jung genug ist, um im Kindergarten zu spielen, spürt sie oft am stärksten. Deshalb ist Hitzeschutz keine private Frage, sondern eine politische Aufgabe. Und was macht die Regierung? Sie kürzt beim Klimaschutz und hält sich damit nicht an ihr eigenes Versprechen. Die Grünen hatten dem 500-Milliarden-Sondervermögen 2025 nur zugestimmt, u.a. weil davon 10 Milliarden Euro jährlich in den Klima- und Transformationsfonds fließen sollten. Jetzt nimmt Finanzminister Klingbeil davon 2,7 Milliarden Euro jährlich wieder heraus, um seine Haushaltslöcher zu stopfen. Ein durchschaubarer Haushaltstrick. Auch der Etat für Umwelt- und Klimaschutz schrumpft im Haushalt 2027 deutlich. Am härtesten trifft es die Klimaanpassung: Ihre Mittel sollen um bis zu 86 Prozent gekürzt werden. Wie viele Menschen müssen noch sterben, damit Klimaanpassung endlich zur Top-Priorität wird? Wir fordern daher: 5 Milliarden Euro aus dem Sondervermögen plus mindestens 400 Millionen Euro jährlich, damit Kommunen ihre Klimaanpassung tatsächlich finanzieren können.Verbindlicher Hitzeschutz für Gesundheitseinrichtungen: Ein Abkühl-Sofortprogramm mit Mitteln aus dem Sondervermögen und verbindliche Hitzeschutzkonzepte für soziale Einrichtungen.Förderprogramm für Klimaanlagen und Solar: Wo eine Klimaanlage nachgerüstet wird, soll gleichzeitig eine Solaranlage aufs Dach kommen. Die Bundesregierung macht sich der fahrlässigen Körperverletzung mit Todesfolge schuldig. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.
