Roughly six thousand large antelopes native to Africa live on the White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico. Once small in number, these oryx have proliferated and make for an unexpected sight with their giant bodies, striking black and white faces, and long, spear-like horns. What are the oryx doing in New Mexico? Las Cruces-based photographer, Marcus Xavier Chormicle's research of the animals has informed his oryx photography series. The oryx series was the focus of Chormicle's work during his New Mexico Arts residency at Lincoln Historic Site in the spring of 2024. He joined Encounter Culture to share what he has learned about the history of the oryx in the state and how his project has helped him wrestle with the complicated questions that arise from the animals' presence. The test proved the missile's capability to be fired one after another, from the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Launcher.

The U.S. has about 400 nuclear-armed Minuteman III missiles based in 450 silos across Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado and Nebraska. 7. US Army Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) fuselages to be built in Wichita, Kansas. Bell will use an existing facility near Textron Aviation Defense and plans to start work there “in the next several months,” according to a statement.8. USMC Purchases Fire Control System for Crew Served Weapons.The fire control system utilizes an integrated laser rangefinder and ballistic computer to provide enhanced accuracy, eliminating targeting errors such as range estimation and terrain angle.

Last week, we shared the first installment in Geoffrey Spangler's story. You learned that Geoffrey left his Las Cruces home on the morning of November 8, 2021. He planned to head out to Riudoso to stay in a cabin for several days. His family later learned that Geoffrey visited the White Sands Missile Range that day. He arrived there that morning but exited and entered a few times. He needed to contact his insurance company for proof of insurance to obtain a visitor's pass. Geoffrey was issued a pass at noon. The man who interacted with Geoffrey at the visitor's center said he saw Geoffrey's Dodge Avenger at the bowling alley that afternoon. However, it was gone when he drove by again. A receipt showed Geoffrey purchased two beers at the bowling alley around 6:15 PM. Where had he been on base between those times? Later, his mom, Tracie, was told that Geoffrey exited the El Paso gate around 7:30 PM. Not quite an hour later, Geoffrey showed up at the Pit Stop, a gas station in Oro Grande, where he purchased a couple of beverages. Geoffrey left, heading north toward Ruidoso, but Geoffrey never made it to the cabin and was never seen or heard from again. Almost a month later, someone found Geoffrey's car back down south on the outskirts of El Paso, Texas. Still, extensive searches of the area have yet to reveal a trace of Geoffrey Spangler. In this episode, we examine the ubiquitous presence of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the roles of policy makers, political pundits, and positions of power. The CIA is often seen as the mastermind behind various conspiracy theories within the United States Government, responsible for a rich history of deceit, grand schemes of social engineering, and covert operations that have influenced our course of history. Regardless of one's civilian position or standing within the hierarchies of power, the omnipotence and omnipresence of the CIA are deeply entrenched and hardwired within the deep state agenda.   As the saying goes, "You do not even want to poke the bear in the intelligence community."   We will address the elephant in the room. The topic at hand is Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), which lie at the center of the CIA's historic and deceptive grand strategy to employ political diversion and informational division in shaping public opinion and policy-making. The recent congressional hearings featuring former military officers and insider witnesses testify against the US government's significant involvement with extraterrestrials and its harboring of UFO technologies for military applications. This evidence is seen in facilities such as Area 51, the White Sands Missile Range, and numerous other government, scientific, and military organizations involved.   The Intelligence Agency's involvement with UFOs has long been a subject of intrigue and speculation. Sightings and encounters with these mysterious objects have fueled conspiracy theories and ignited the imaginations of individuals around the world. A whistleblower in Congress has sparked a new revelation in recent years, placing the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at the center of a growing debate: Are they orchestrating a mind game or revealing genuine information about these extraordinary phenomena? In this episode, Alexander and Jason will delve deeper into this fascinating topic, exploring the possible motives behind the CIA's involvement. This episode will also explore Jason's past experiences and his affiliation with the military-industrial complex, his service as a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Jason shares valuable insights into what it's like to serve in the military, as well as his personal growth as a combat veteran later in life.   Psychological Operations is a hard game, it is very difficult to nail down the specifics and maintain the play of endless charades, trying to avoid being caught red-handed. The United States government has perfected the art of statecraft in concealing top-profile information for public transparency. They made it impossible to advance. Using the leverage of authority in power and manipulating the people's interest. Much valuable information that could and should benefit the public interest lost in the halls of deceit and deliberate fabrication of data and absolute corruption of power.   It is no secret that the CIA has played a significant role in various secretive operations throughout history. With its reputation for covert intelligence gathering and manipulation, many skeptics argue that the intelligence agency's involvement in the UFO phenomenon could be part of a Psychological Operations (PSYOPs). They suggest that the CIA may be using UFOs and UAPs to divert attention from classified projects or manipulate public perception for ulterior motives, deep state agenda. Moreover, independent research surveys indicates the anathema of this outcome, more and more Americans are now believing in alien existence.    On the other side of the spectrum, proponents of the genuine disclosure theory believe that the CIA's involvement signifies a turning point in the official acknowledgment of the existence of UFOs. They argue that the declassification of certain documents and the formation of task forces dedicated to studying these phenomena indicate a sincere effort to disclose credible information to the public. These advocates argue that the CIA's participation in the conversation should be viewed as a positive step toward greater transparency and understanding. Slowly but surely, they aim to bring disclosure through non-coercive means, such as incorporating UFO-related elements into popular culture, movies, and entertainment.   Under the PSYOP theory, supporters claim that the CIA deliberately uses sightings of UFOs and UAPs as a means of public distraction and as part of a disinformation campaign against transparency. There exist certain polarities within psychological operations, often deliberate in their objectives. Jason outlines several elements in the definition of PSYOP based on the USMC doctrine:    Determining the Mission and Objectives of the operation by testing the public's response to the information and condition the populace for future endeavors; Determining and planning target audiences analysis; Series Development Process; Get official approval and formal endorsement from authorities. By promoting narratives that confuse and obfuscate, they create a sense of mystery and uncertainty, ultimately preventing the public from uncovering hidden truths about potential clandestine activities. This is evident in the CIA's agenda to downplay the UFO conspiracy in popular culture mediums, whether it be prominent Hollywood productions or fringe Sci-Fi literature.   The public, as a whole, has become increasingly interested and invested in UAPs now that the cat is out of the box. We face a broader security issue at hand. UAPs and their associated spacecraft vessels can generate pure energies that surpass the capabilities of existing solar panels on satellites. The entire military-industrial complex benefits from the wonders of UFO technology.   But, inevitably, all secrets have their day. Keeping a secret is both exhausting and expensive. The CIA slowly drips information, leaving small breadcrumbs for people to follow until, eventually, the secret is no more.   To make sense of this chaotic issue, it must be approached with balance and an equitable perception of understanding. To venture further, one must possess sufficient awareness relative to our foundational knowledge and all the available information at hand. This is the structural design of intelligence, just as aliens would travel vast distances to Earth in order to gain genuine knowledge. Likewise, the government can certainly enhance its capabilities and reach new heights that extend beyond the far reaches of the universe if we, as a collective species, aspire to achieve greatness in our evolution.   Regardless of the true motivations behind the CIA's involvement, the ongoing controversy serves as an awakening to the truth, a call to higher awareness that extends beyond the grand scheme of the boundless mysteries within our universe. While the leadership journeys of many of our CFO guests began on an upper floor of a glass-and-steel skyscraper affording a wide-angle view of a cosmopolitan metropolis, that of Blackbaud CFO Tony Boor started at street level in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert. Less than an hour's drive north of El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces is home not only to the main campus of New Mexico State University but also to a crowded schedule of holiday festivals and a varied collection of retailers—including motorcycle shops such as the one that Boor first visited in the mid-1970s. “When I was 13 or 14 years old, I walked into a motorcycle shop to buy my first bike and they ended up hiring me to sweep floors and haul trash,” recalls Boor, who over the next 10 years segued from maintenance to the service department, to parts management, to sales management, to being general manager of the store. “Thinking back now on being that young and running a business, I realize that I got a chance very early in my career to experience a firm from the other side of the desk, as I oversaw people much older than me and dealt with things like payroll, books, and accounting,” continues Boor, whose hours at the shop populated his high school and college years. Nonetheless, in a family with a father who worked at the nearby White Sands Missile Range as a nuclear electrical engineer and other sons who were embarking on engineering careers of their own, the motorcycle shop entry on Boor's resume did not go unnoticed. Thus what might be surmised to have been a collective sigh of relief may have been heard when he decided to pursue an engineering degree at New Mexico State, thereby keeping safe the Boor family tradition. Or would it? “I was actually in my senior year of college when I decided that I didn't want to be an engineer because I knew from working in the motorcycle shop that I loved business,” reports Boor, who remembers his parents not being at all pleased that the timing of his decision was coming so “late in the game.”     “It ended up taking me a little longer to be done with school, but I did switch over to accounting,” explains Boor, who would subsequently work for a number of the original Big Eight accounting houses before stepping into the ranks of corporate finance professionals—where the same qualities that had once served him well at the bike shop appear to have propelled his climb upward. Says Boor: “A lot of what I learned in those very early years of my life and career had a big impact on how things have gone for me, even in these finance leadership roles.” –Jack Sweeney

Then, a Chicago woman at her father's apartment sees a Glimmer Man! Next, some police officers back in the summer of 1989 in Washington state, see a strange glowing orb with a creature walking inside! After the break Cam brings up the strange legend of the Victorio Peak Treasure and Milton Ernest "Doc" Noss. Victorio Peak, a craggy outcropping of rock barely five hundred feet tall, lies in the center of a dry desert lake known as the Hembrillo Basin. Beyond the Hembrillo Basin is a hundred-mile stretch of desert known as the Jornada del Muerto. Victorio Peak, located in northern Dona Ana County, now lies within the White Sands Missile Range in south-central New Mexico. However, long before Victorio Peak was encompassed by the government, a man by the name of Milton Ernest “Doc” Noss spent some time exploring Victorio Peak while on a deer hunt. Inside he found a hoard of treasure including coins, jewels, saddles, and priceless artifacts including a gold statue of the Virgin Mary. He also found some old letters, the most recent of which was dated 1880. This treasure was only the beginning. In a deeper cavern, Doc found what he thought was a stack of worthless iron bars. He estimated there were thousands of these bars, each weighing over forty pounds stacked against a wall. He was barely able to lift one, much less think of carrying it back to the surface. Later, the wealth in the cave would be calculated to be worth more than two billion dollars. But he would never obtain all of the treasure, it seems that the government swooped in and took it all. The exhibition features five artists from the US/MX border and was curated by Gil Rocha. First opening in January 2022 at 937 Gallery in the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust the show then traveled to the Laredo Center for the Arts in July 2022. Each interview is conducted by Tereneh Idia. Tereneh is the founder of Idia'Dega, an award-winning journalist, and the co-founder of Other Border Wall Project. Angel Cabrales, MFA, is an Assistant Professor in Sculpture at the University of Texas at El Paso. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University and Masters of Fine Arts from The University of North Texas. Angel views everything as an artistic resource and utilizes this in all his creations, from his extensive experience with a variety of mediums and styles, to the intangibles, such as his upbringing in the El Paso, Texas Borderlands, his work grows and expands with the requirements presented from each new idea.His father a retired engineer at White Sands Missile Range, instilled Angel with a great interest in science and engineering, while his mother, a politically active stay at home mother, taught him the importance of community and social work through her volunteer work. Angel's work is an amalgamation of his upbringing resulting in social/political commentary with an engineered flare. The artwork's concept ultimately dictates the medium needed for its creation, so artistic evolution is intrinsic in his philosophy. Cabrales is an artist fellow for the Looking for America project out of Washington D.C. He is exhibiting in the American Embassy in Mexico City and has exhibited in the International TransBorder Biennial, Texas Biennial, AmoABiennial600, the Chamizal National Memorial, the Mexic-Arte Museum, MAC Dallas, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Mesa, AZ, The Latino Cultural Center of Dallas, El Paso Museum of Art, Wave Pool Gallery in Cincinnati, OH, Grand Art Haus in Phoenix, AZ, Baton Rouge Gallery, and collaborated with the AMBOS Project (an intervention collaboration along the Border) from Los Angeles. Dan Lessard sits down with three guests to discuss the command's newest directorate - the Special Operations Forces Training and Experimentation Center located at White Sands Missile Range, NM. Using the training areas provided at WSMR and nearby Fort Bliss, TX, SOF-TEC provides more than 2 million acres of training land, access to the nearby population centers of Las Cruces and El Paso, and the capability to replicate the real-world multi-domain conditions our forces will face in the modern operational environment.Col. Theodore Unbehagen is the inaugural director of SOF-TEC. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Scott Gronowski is the Command Chief Warrant Officer at 1st SFC (A).Sgt. Maj. Gregg Kibbee, from our G37 Training Office, has seen this training center through from its inception to its activation.SOF-TEC was officially activated at White Sands Missile Range on Mar. 8, 2022. Recently the  3.5 meter Space Surveillance Telescope located at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico found an an asteroid which has been named 2015 PU228. It is currently the asteroid which is most likely to collide with planet Earth in this century.  Don't worry, its closest approach to our home planet will not be untill January 15, 2081.  If there is an ideal close approaching asteroid, 2015 PU228 is it.  Humans have discovered this object long before it comes near to our home giving plenty of time to deflect it if that becomes necessary.  Serious scientific and engineering studies are currently underway to investigate various asteroid impact mitigation strategies.  These range from using a solar sail to give the problem asteroid a gentle push to setting off a buried nuclear weapon to create a rocket type thrust which will cause the potential impactor to miss planet Earth.
