Send us a textIn another road match, Charlotte FC has possibly the worst performance of the season with a 2-0 loss in Colorado that also saw another penalty shot in the box. It's difficult to not be down on this one, despite the return of Agyemang, Abada, and Ream from international duty, the loss of Privett to red card suspension and another start for new left back Souleyman Doumbia. Listen as the queens quibble over the potential pitfalls. The Queens' Pitch on X@thequeenspitchclt

Celtsarehere were in attendance at Friday's press conference: - Daizen fine for weekend, been training for a while after muscle treatment - Liel fine, Brendan went for dinner with him, young guy obviously it's tough but he'll be fine, back December - Yuki would've went on loan if it wasn't for injury, I asked are you looking to loan him out he said “I've got too many centre backs” - Mikey Johnston has talent and the idea is to eventually get him minutes because he's done well for Ireland and it's good he's getting minutes there - Hearts will be tough as usual - Mental factor is “massive” and he joked when he goes away for a break on internationals it's sometimes like when the teacher leaves a classroom - Not too stressed about Tilio, taking time and switch in intensity of game has been tough for him

Ange Postecoglou's side exerted their total dominance on Saturday with a crushing 4-0 win over Rangers that left Giovanni Van Bronckhort's side wondering what had hit them at a packed Celtic Park. Van Bronckhorst of course played in the original “Demolition Derby” some twenty two years ago as Henrik Larsson and co. inflicted a 6-2 defeat on Rangers back in August 2000. We now have a new Demolition Derby to add to the collection as this exciting Celtic side won by their own four goal margin in a game which highlighted the very best of what Ange Postecoglou's team have to offer. Liel Abada picked up the Man of the Match award on the day, and rightly so for his two goal return and excellent all round performance, however it was his Portuguese team mate Jota who raised things to a different level with an outstanding second goal for Celtic – a goal which will be remembered by fans far and wide for many years to come. The timing of the sparkling performance couldn't have been better with Celtic heading into matchday 1 of this season's Champions League this week full of confidence as they await the challenge that current holders Real Madrid will present. It's set to be an electric night at Celtic Park on Tuesday and players and fans alike can't wait to see Ange's side test themselves on a whole new level as we come up against Karim Benzema and co. in European football's top competition. Elsewhere we seen the close of a summer transfer window which has seen Celtic achieve just about everything they set out to do. Returning heroes Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers are now here on a permanent basis, some big earners have been removed from the wage bill, and we now have genuine cover in all key areas of the park. A deadline day move for Danish internationalist Oliver Abildgaard completed our work in the market for now and we take a look at what our new number 28 may add to the midfield. Tino, Paddy & James discuss all of the above and more in this week's episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly. Rogic x2 Abada and Maeda with the goals.. the lads went through the game and individual players performance. Celtic have been playing some great football and this match was more of the same.. we also touched on the fans situation with sky sports not showing games as much as they should.

Well another deadline day has passed and Ryan John and Sam recap over the last two windows and how well Ange has done.. January alone spent 5m on 5 players which is incredible value.. Kygogo has been brilliant with Abada, Hart and Jota Ange clearly has transformed Celtic.. The lads spoke mainly about the value of talent.
Abada Scores late!In this episode Ryan was Joined by Sam for a reaction pod on the Monday View! All the latest news regarding Celtic and going through the 1-0 Victory over Dundee United. Abada scored the winner from an assist from Jota.. the Roar at the end was something special.. is James Forrest still one of our main men?
CELTIC announced the signing of Matt O'Riley to bolster the ranks in our creative positions last week and it's not a moment too soon as we contend ourselves with the absence of Tom Rogic and Daizen Maeda on international duty as well as ongoing injury concerns over Kyogo Furuhashi, David Turnbull and now captain Callum McGregor. A physical encounter with Alloa in the Scottish Cup on Saturday night hasn't helped our injury woes with Liel and Abada and Yosuke Ideguchi also picking up knocks on the night, but Celtic will have to dust themselves off very quickly as the challenges of Hearts at Tynecastle (Wednesday) and Dundee Utd at Celtic Park (Saturday) await before we then head into the second derby of the season next midweek. It's a crucial period in the title race and Ange Postecoglou has some big calls to make as he aims to navigate us through these fixtures with maximum points. Fringe players such as Giorgios Giakounakis, Liam Scales and Tony Ralston will be looking to play their part and we can also look forward to seeing new Bhoys Matt O'Riley and Reo Hatate take centre stage as the title race heats up. Tino, Paddy and special guest Hamish of 67 Hail Hail were on the mics this week to cover all of the above and more. The Monday View episode.. Ryan Sam and JP.In this episode the lads chatted the 2-1 victory over Alloa in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.. Goals from Giakoumakis and Abada.. comfortable win and professional overall but disappointed to concede a goal against lower opposition.. the Referee was a talking point as some potential talking points happened in the game and the lads spoke about this and Jota was a highlight topic.
Celtic eventually run out 2-1 winners against Alloa in a hard fought Saturday night in the Scottish Cup. Goals from Giorgios Giakoumakis and Liel Abada were enough to see us through and we'll now face Raith Rovers in the 5th round next month. Ange Postecoglou will be concerned over injuries picked up by captain Callum McGregor, Yosuke Ideguchi and Abada but will be hopeful that all pull through as eyes now turn to Wednesday's crunch league fixture against Hearts at Tynecastle. Tino & James covered all of the above as well as the other key talking points from this one.

Host Ryan was joined by Claire,Connor and Sam on this episode on the aftermath of the 3-2 Victory against Ferenvaros in the Europa League. The panel went through the game in detail and one of the man topics was the front three of Jota,Kyogo and Abada. A New Deal for Greg Taylor? Preview of Dundee on Sunday which is another must win.
A big away win in Europe for Celtic as the hoops pick up a crucial 3 points in Hungary! The front 3 of Kyogo, Jota and Abada were on exceptional form and now have an impressive 22 goals between them already this season! All three goals were well worked but the third was a thing of beauty, clinically slotted him by Abada after more great work by Kyogo and his beautiful wee feet!
A frustrating draw at Celtic Park today saw us miss the opportunity to hit the top of the table. Did Ange get it wrong by dropping Kyogo? By opting for Abada over Johnston? By restoring Bitton to the midfield. Hindsight's 20/20 but some big calls and we've fallen short once again against an organised, but limited, Livingston.

Celtic comfortably see off Raith Rovers in the Premier Sports League Cup to set up a semi final at Hampden v cup holders St Johnstone. Goals from Jota, Abada and Turnbull were enough to see us through and Ange can now look forward to his first visit to the national stadium. Special mention to Liam Scales who made his first appearance for the Hoops in an assured performance.
Fresh from an action packed trip to the Highland (no, we weren't at ICT v Partick Thistle) we dust off the confetti and review a weekend brimming with headlines. John talks us through the pie and bovril situation at Fir Park, Scobie reiterates in both English and Hebrew why Abada is a must have, and we weigh up which ex-Celtic set piece taker will steal the plaudits on Tayside this weekend. Spoiler alert: it'll be the uglier one. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Celtic snatched a draw from the jaws of victory in Ange Postecoglou's first competitive game as a moment of madness from Nir Bitton reduced us to 10-men late in the first half against FC Midtjylland. Unfortunately it's not the first time we've seen this from the experienced international and it was all the more frustrating with his sending off coming at a spell in the game when we were in the ascendency having taking the lead through debutant Liel Abada. In many ways it felt like a lost opportunity, however there were plenty of positives to take from the game including the debut from Abada, the return of the real Ryan Christie, and the emergence of young Dane Murray, and it's all to play for as we head to Denmark for the return leg this week. We can also look forward to the long awaited arrival of Carl Starfelt and Kyogo Furohashi in the coming days whilst we also bid farewell to Quadruple Treble winner Kris Ajer and a wee guy called Marian Shved as the revolving door at Celtic Park continues to spin. If you were ever in any doubt about our defensive frailties (and if so where have you been?!) then this was highlighted further in the heavy friendly defeat by West Ham, and Ange must be given re-enforcements in these areas if he's to have any chance of success. Even this early in the season it's a hugely important week ahead for him and his squad as they try to navigate the second leg against the Danes as well as a tricky opening league fixture against Hearts at Tynecastle. In his own words Ange has said that this is a massive challenge but one he's come into with his eyes wide open and he says it's exactly why he does what he does! He continues to impress and we'll be backing him all the way, this week and beyond.

Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2020.04.21.052506v1?rss=1 Authors: Saudou, F., Bruyere, J., Abada, Y.-S., Vitet, H. M., Fontaine, G., Deloulme, J.-C., Cës, A., Denarier, E., Pernet-Gallay, K., Andrieux, A., Humbert, S., Potier, M.-C., Delatour, B. Abstract: Studies have suggested that amyloid precursor protein (APP) regulates synaptic homeostasis, but the evidence has not been consistent. In particular, signaling pathways controlling APP transport to the synapse in axons and dendrites remain to be identified. Having previously shown that Huntingtin (HTT), the scaffolding protein involved in Huntington's disease, regulates neuritic transport of APP, we used a microfluidic corticocortical neuronal network-on-a-chip to examine APP transport and localization to the pre- and post-synaptic compartments. We found that HTT, upon phosphorylation by the Ser/Thr kinase Akt, regulates APP transport in axons but not dendrites. Expression of an unphosphorylatable HTT decreased axonal anterograde transport of APP, reduced presynaptic APP levels, and increased synaptic density. Ablating in vivo HTT phosphorylation in APPPS1 mice, which overexpress APP, reduced presynaptic APP levels, restored synapse number and improved learning and memory. The Akt-HTT pathway and axonal transport of APP thus regulate APP presynaptic levels and synapse homeostasis. Copy rights belong to original authors. Visit the link for more info
