Celebrity Trainer Dolvett Quince's method to generate massive weight loss in those he trained on the TV show, The Biggest Loser was to give them "glimpses of potential." Coaching them to a final result seemed too hard, so instead, he broke it down to ticks. Quince took them one tick above their "cant's" to reveal "glimpses of potential." As the ticks increased, so too did their results, and they ended their sessions with, "I didn't think I could do that!"What is potential? What if you get to the end of your life only to discover that you could've done more? Today I will COACH you to discover glimpses of your potential every day. Thanks for listening. Because when you talk about race relations, white privilege, horrific death, and accountability, you very quickly set free the ‘white elephant’ in the room. My conversation with Dolvett Quince is a must listen for anyone struggling to find their purpose amidst the pain. It is a must listen for every white person wondering how to open a conversation about race with their black friends, but more importantly with their white friends. It holds up a mirror to the ‘head start’ having white skin gifts you while leaving space and grace and love for the misunderstandings, missteps, and misinformation. Dolvett’s truth takes us on a journey that you’ll never forget. A conversation that will forever hold space for today’s difficult time. His mission is personal, as his own narrative's theme is overcoming challenges, finding forgiveness and building mental and physical strength. Dolvett's first book, “The 3-1-2-1 Diet: Eat and Cheat Your Way to Weight Loss” became an instant NYT bestseller with its unconventional approach to reduce fat and gain muscle. His second book, “Work Out the Doubt,” slated for end of 2019, will guide readers in improving their health in all aspects of life. An internationally respected charismatic speaker, Dolvett engages diverse audiences through conference keynotes and online masterclasses on the topics of personal identity, business development, fitness science and emotional intelligence, and is a Contributor on CNN and other nationally syndicated news shows. In this episode, we got deep into his journey and how he overcame the adversity of his childhood to use it to better himself and others around him. The Biggest Loser went off the air in 2016. That same year, The New York Times published findings by the journal Obesity, which kept track of 14 contestants before and after a season of the show. The study found that just one of the fourteen weighed less than when they had started the show. All the others had gained the weight – and more- back. A year after the show’s ending and the published study, executive producer JD Roth created and produced The Big Fat Truth on Z Living network. The show featured Biggest Loser former contestants who had regained and sought to help these men and women understand the behaviors and patterns that had led them to fail at weight loss. Per the official logline, the new Biggest Loser will “feature a dynamic new team of experts determined to dramatically improve America’s lifespans and waistlines.” Men and women will compete not only to lose weight, but to improve their overall wellbeing; to that end, each episode’s experts will include a trainer, chef and life coach, who will “help guide the contestants as they embark on the biggest transformations of their lives.” We’re re-imagining The Biggest Loser for today’s audiences, providing a new holistic, 360-degree look at wellness, while retaining the franchise’s competition format and legendary jaw-dropping moments,” said Chris McCumber, USA Network’s president of entertainment. “USA’s recent reboot of Temptation Island brought both new and younger viewers to the network, and we’re excited to add another big, buzzy show to our growing unscripted lineup.” HISTORY The Biggest Loser originally ran for 17 seasons on NBC and wrapped its initial run in February 2016. Trainers included Bob Harper, Dolvett Quince, Jennifer Widerstrom and Jillian Michaels (who became known for her intense, often-harsh motivational techniques). Ultimately, the highest percentage of weight lost will still determine the winner, as in seasons past In looking at the past winners, 47% have kept off the weight, 12% gained it back, 41% have gained some of it back, and 6% are unknown. " Confidence: is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities." Who would you become if you had the confidence to risk what you deem as comfortable, like your 9 to 5 or 6 figure salary, to live the life you've always dreamed of? What if I told you confidence was the key to unlock your greatest potential? Everything you think, say and do affect your confidence. So if you are constantly telling yourself that you don't have the ability to reach that dream or goal, then you will surely affect your confidence and decrease your ability to succeed. I believe that the first stage in developing confidence is monitoring your self-talk. In today's episode, we have the privilege to step into the soles of my friend Dolvett Quince. If you don't recognize the name, head on over to social media and search @dolvett, you are sure to recognize that smile that brings light to the rooms he is in. Or, you may simply recognize him from his 7 seasons as a trainer on NBC's TV show, "The Biggest Loser." Dolvett was the perfect guest to discuss confidence and it as the key to unlocking the doors to some of the most hidden strengths within that once unlocked will bring success to various areas of your life. Dolvett's story is one that is sure to inspire you! As much confidence, joy, and success that Dolvett has now, it was not always his story. From foster care to the biggest loser his journey is one that we can all relate in some way especially knowing that when life happens to us we can either decide to give up or tap into that internal resource called confidence that will give us a determination to keep going no matter what it takes. This is a man that has gone through the fire and come out an even more rare and precious stone. Listen in as Dolvett shares his greatest insecurity. Be sure to note that even with all his confidence he is constantly evolving enhancing his passion & grit, all while overcoming his insecurity. Find out if Dolvett wears socks with his dress shoes or has he received the fashion memo? Overall, he is dropping serious nuggets and you're not going to want to miss this. On this weeks episode of Culturation™ we speak with the Body Sculptor, Dolvett Quince. We discuss the power of mind over matter, the importance of starting from the bottom and how to be humble but stay hungry. Dolvett is a celebrity trainer, best known for his involvement with NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and author of The 3-1-2-1 Diet. A true creative mind and visionary, Dolvett grew up playing sports, studying martial arts and excelling in his studies. Later, he moved to Atlanta and found himself working odd jobs in retail and construction until he landed a job at a local YMCA as a front desk receptionist. His ability to connect with people provided him the opportunity to become a trainer at the facility after receiving his physical education certification. Fueled by his love of helping people, he grew his clientele in Atlanta and opened up his own gym, Body Sculptor Studio, located in the heart of the city. He trained some of the most influential people in the city, including radio personalities, actors, musicians, and even went on tour to train Justin Bieber while he was on the road. His growth and popularity provided him the opportunity to audition for NBC’s The Biggest Loser as a new trainer on the hit TV show, where he shared his passion and love for helping people overcome their struggles, both physically and mentally. He has always inspired people from a young age and was now given the platform to do so on a national level. The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Biggest Loser Trainer Dolvett Quince Heading into his sixth season on the hit NBC show “The Biggest Loser,” Dolvett is proving that his passion, regimen and dramatic transformational results are making him one of the most in- demand fitness specialists in the country. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Dolvett and his three siblings were adopted by a Jamaican couple and later moved to Florida, where he finished high school. Dolvett then moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for fitness and established himself as a leader in his field of health and fitness. In 2004, Dolvett opened Body Sculptor, a private personal training studio in Atlanta with a commitment to “changing lives one rep at a time.” His business had a solid following, but it wasn't until a local radio personality started talking about it on his show that Dolvett and his business really took off. He then widened his business to training other trainers, which then led to him training celebrities like actors Angela Bassett, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, Baltimore Ravens tight-end Daniel Wilcox and singer-songwriter Jojo, among others. Within the studio, Dolvett created “Pure Energy,” a high-intensity circuit-training class with a live DJ. The popularity of Dolvett's fitness methods inspired the launch of his own DVD “Me and My Chair: The No Excuses Workout,” a low-impact, high-intensity 30-minute workout system that helps users tone up and slim down while only using a household chair. Soon after, Dolvett was cast on “The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser Mondays 9/8C on NBC
