In today's episode, I spoke with Tara Stiles, the founder of Strala Yoga, a revolutionary approach to being, moving, and healing. Strala Yoga is not like other styles of yoga. Strala combines the principles of tai-chi with yoga and delivers an easy-going flow, that allows you to sync with your breath, tune inwards, really listen to your body, and ultimately, to become good friends with yourself. Finally, there's a style of yoga that really feels like you. In Strala, the focus isn't on getting the alignment of the pose just right. Instead, poses are thought of as waypoints to move and flow through. This way of practicing yoga shifts your attention from how the pose looks to how you feel as you're moving and breathing.Tara Stiles was private yoga teacher to Deepak Chopra, walked the red carpet with Jane Fonda, and along with her husband, Mike Taylor, Tara has devoted herself to making yoga accessible for everyone. Strala is all about slowing down, softening, moving with your breath, and practicing being kind to yourself, on and off the mat. There's no pretentiousness, no strict rules or codes of dress. Strala is open to everyone. In our conversation, we spoke about how Strala Yoga was born, where the philosophy came from, and how the Strala community has developed and grown over the years. I feel really lucky that my introduction into the world of yoga was through Tara's Strala Yoga videos, and I hope that after hearing today's conversation, you'll invite a bit of Strala Magic into your own lives as well. So without further ado, here's my conversation with Tara Stiles.@YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheBiggerPicturePodcast@Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/biggerpicturepodbyroni/@Website: https://thebiggerpicturepod.com/ This is a public episode. Find Christine:@christinebondechristinebonde.dkFind Sofie:@sjaelesundsjaelesund.dk

Tara Stiles (@tarastiles) has had a huge impact on my life and career ever since the day I walked into Strala, her yoga studio in Soho, in 2012. Turns out, attribution modelling is crazy complicated. You've got first touch, last touch, linear, time decay, U shaped, W shaped, and many more. Several algorithms could go into each one, like gradient boosting, FTRL, neural networks, game theory and logistic regression. Your head will be spinning if you try and do it on your own. Mikel Chertudi understands very well how complicated it can be. He breaks it down for us. Listen up!

I had an epiphany talking to Rob Clarke, co-founder of Strala, at Martech West in early April. His company created a turnkey platform that allows you to standardize UTM parameters to track all your online and offline marketing outreach. He told me that marketers like to ask 3 questions: who, what and when. Marketing focuses on Who, What, and When  Who are they? What did they do throughout their buying journey? When did they do it? If you have a standard tracking system that is integrated to your marketing automation, CRM, POS (point of sales), eCommerce and other platforms, you can see a series of actions that prospects do through their journeys. With all the information in one place, hopefully, you get some insights to determine the next steps to nurture and drive better conversions. If you tie that information to your budget, you can see which marketing channels perform better and adjust your marketing budget accordingly. My conversation with Rob prompted me to think what sales people would like to know when they talk to prospects. Are the questions the same like marketer’s who, what, and when or something different? Sales focuses on Why and How Much, in addition to Who, What, and When Working with sales for a long time, I realize they like to understand Why, How much and when?  Why did they come to us? Why are they interested in us? How much budget do they have? When will they likely buy? Of course, who and what are also important, but these answers to these questions may be more in-depth than marketing want to know. Who are they? What challenges do they have? Which of our offerings can solve their challenges? What else can we do to help them? If you think about it, even if sales and marketing are talking to the same prospects, the way they communicate and the information they gather are fundamentally different. Obviously, one focuses on the top of the purchase funnel, while the other focuses on the bottom of the funnel. One emphasizes on awareness-building, while the other is all about how to move prospects to different sales stages to close deals.  So, understanding the types of questions that sales asks will dictate how you support your sales team. You can’t take the marketing content and just dump it on the sales side and expect them to use it. Why? Because they ask different questions. If you work on ABM, don’t expect that the copy you use for mass marketing outreach will necessarily apply to the sales side. You have to consider accounts’ needs and the questions that sales wants to address. In previous episodes I talked about, in order to support sales as marketers, you need to understand how sales think and work. One of the key ways is to know the types of questions they ask at different stages. That piece of intelligence will help you determine your sales support approach and the content you can recommend for the sales processes.  If you have any questions, you know where to reach me. Just google Pam Didner. Again, if you like the podcast, please leave comments on iTunes. So keep hustling, my friends. You got this.

Welcome to another episode of 7-Minute Marketing with Pam. My name is Pam Didner. I love sharing a little dose of B2B, digital, content marketing and sales enablement, seven minutes at a time.  In my previous episode, I talked about the importance of keeping up with marketing technology. One of the best ways I mentioned is to talk to various vendors at marketing conferences. When I went to Martech West in the San Jose Convention Center early April, I did my rounds and talked to different vendors. I am not affiliated with any of these vendors but I want to tell you about 3 vendors that caught my eye and share with you what they offer. Voicify You can use their platform to create a voice-enabled application which can be downloaded to Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Microsoft Cortana and your chatbots. It allows brands to seamlessly create and manage their voice content across any number of smart speakers & devices. This is similar to Libsyn, which some of you may use to manage your podcast episodes. Libsyn lets you upload your audio files and then automatically syndicate to iTunes, iHeart radio and other podcast or radio channels.  The Voicify platform is the Libsyn version for voice and more. For Libsyn, you upload the finished audio files. For Voicify, you can manage your content and a list of questions and answers all in one platform. You can update and refresh your content on a regular basis and you can also customize and deploy your content for different voice assistants and chatbots. This is the first voice management platform I have come across. Again, it’s called Voicify. Strala  The next one is Strala. I enjoyed talking to the co-founder, Rob Clarke. He is incredibly passionate about tracking customers’ online and offline touch points to improve customer journeys and quantify ROI, basically tracking all your marketing efforts end-to-end. He said if you really want to track each touch point, you need to standardize your touch points’ tracking mechanism with consistent marketing taxonomies across all channels, publishers, content and messaging. I 100% agree with him. Most marketing organizations are divided by marketing functions. Marketers tend to focus on measuring the marketing they manage. But someone needs to have a holistic view and take ownership of automating the tracking beyond basic UTM parameters. They offer 3 products: Touchpoint, I just mentioned. Journey Stream that shows customers’ touchpoints throughout their journeys. And, Prism is their standard dashboard. I know many vendors offer similar tools. I just thought their approach is sound for standardizing all the tracking, not just using APIs to pull data from various sources. Again, it’s called Strala. They position themselves as “Turnkey Insights and attributions across all online and offline touchpoints.” Very cool. Alyce Ok, this company caught my eye because they want to help you pick the perfect gifts for your customers. Alyce bases its gift suggestions on information that is pulled from customers’ social media accounts. The company can also provide popular gift options on their platform. Apparently, they have more than 30,000 gift options. Their platform uses AI to select the gift options, and is integrated with SalesForce.com to track conversions. The company will also manage your direct mail logistics. Here is a nice caveat: You can’t go wrong with gift selection. Whatever you choose, your recipient will always be able to donate the value to a meaningful charity or exchange for another equally valued gift. I think Alyce is a great option if you plan to do one-to-one hyper-personalized account-based marketing (ABM) for strategic accounts. I talked to over 30 vendors and got a good understanding of how each one of them wants to fit into the overall sales and marketing processes. Understanding martech is overwhelming. The key is to understand what challenges you aim to solve and take it from there.  If you have any questions, you know where to reach me. Just google Pam Didner. Again, if you like the podcast, please leave comments on iTunes. So keep hustling, my friends. You got this.

Michael Taylor is the co-founder of Strala Yoga, a tai chi expert, and all-around movement guru. Mike and his wife Tara (and daughter Daisy!) are also close family friends. He studied mind-body medicine at Harvard and complementary medicine at Oxford. Because he has more than 30 years of experience with Eastern movement and healing practices, people come to him for innovative ways to relieve stress and, as he says, "to get out of their own way." At mbg we call him our "best mover," not only because he is trained in yoga, tai chi, qiqong, and martial arts but because of his deep passion for how to move well. For him, movement is a form of healing. After his brother died in his 20s, Mike sought answers beyond traditional medicine and found that many of the answers come from within, movement being a way to unlock them. "Everything you do can be a practice of moving well," said Mike, as long as you do so with ease and softness. In this podcast episode, Mike discusses the movement practices that helped him move forward—healthier and happier. We talk about what it means to live in alignment with your body and how to deepen your relationship with movement. For him it comes down to bettering ourselves so we can better the world. You. We. All. is his mantra as he looks to the future of movement and wellness. After listening, you will feel like you've known Mike for as many years as I have, and I can promise, his words will stay with you long after. Tara Stiles is the co-founder of Strala Yoga and author of six books, including the new Guiding Strala: The Yoga Training Manual to Ignite Freedom, Get Connected, and Build Radiant Health and Happiness. She's also a new mom and a resident of DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York's latest booming wellness mecca. Tara started her yoga journey in the woods of the Midwest where she grew up. Tara remembers spending hours practicing meditation (although she had no idea that was what she was doing at the time). She moved out to New York to become a dancer, which transitioned to modeling and eventually yoga—and at the time, yoga wasn't nearly as popular as it is today. When she was just starting to dip her toes in the yoga world, Tara found herself at a retreat upstate where she met her now-husband, Michael Taylor. Her first impression of Mike was a good one (he was the only other person on the retreat who brought chocolate), and on their first date, he charmed her further by bringing his own sandwich, eating it on the floor of her studio apartment, and showing off his handstand skills. The two eventually got married, co-founded Strala together, and now have a beautiful 8-month-old daughter together, Daisy. Despite the ease of Tara's life now, it hasn't always been like this. In this episode, Tara opened up about her what her experience with Strala Yoga has really been like over the years and the unique challenges that come with going into business with your spouse (at one point, she and Mike almost got divorced), and how being sexually assaulted led to a severe eating disorder. You'll also learn about the parts of motherhood Tara didn't see coming and what she thinks the future of wellness looks like.
