The hardest conversation is so often the most important one. The fear that cloaked today’s conversation disappeared with every word spoken. Because when you talk about race relations, white privilege, horrific death, and accountability, you very quickly set free the ‘white elephant’ in the room. My conversation with Dolvett Quince is a must listen for anyone struggling to find their purpose amidst the pain. It is a must listen for every white person wondering how to open a conversation about race with their black friends, but more importantly with their white friends. It holds up a mirror to the ‘head start’ having white skin gifts you while leaving space and grace and love for the misunderstandings, missteps, and misinformation. Dolvett’s truth takes us on a journey that you’ll never forget. A conversation that will forever hold space for today’s difficult time. " Confidence: is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities." Who would you become if you had the confidence to risk what you deem as comfortable, like your 9 to 5 or 6 figure salary, to live the life you've always dreamed of? What if I told you confidence was the key to unlock your greatest potential? Everything you think, say and do affect your confidence. So if you are constantly telling yourself that you don't have the ability to reach that dream or goal, then you will surely affect your confidence and decrease your ability to succeed. I believe that the first stage in developing confidence is monitoring your self-talk. In today's episode, we have the privilege to step into the soles of my friend Dolvett Quince. Today we had an amazing conversation with my new friend Dolvett Quince. We recently met at a summit (to put it nicely) that both of us attended in which we were tested mentally, psychologically, emotionally and physically. Dolvett has been in the fitness and wellness industry for a long time and he has contributed a great deal to many lives, in positive ways. He put in the hard work, paid attention to details and made the most of every situation. His journey is one of tremendous inspiration, joy and hope; and he's still adding to that journey today. On this weeks episode of Culturation™ we speak with the Body Sculptor, Dolvett Quince. We discuss the power of mind over matter, the importance of starting from the bottom and how to be humble but stay hungry. Dolvett is a celebrity trainer, best known for his involvement with NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and author of The 3-1-2-1 Diet. A true creative mind and visionary, Dolvett grew up playing sports, studying martial arts and excelling in his studies. Later, he moved to Atlanta and found himself working odd jobs in retail and construction until he landed a job at a local YMCA as a front desk receptionist. His ability to connect with people provided him the opportunity to become a trainer at the facility after receiving his physical education certification. Fueled by his love of helping people, he grew his clientele in Atlanta and opened up his own gym, Body Sculptor Studio, located in the heart of the city. He trained some of the most influential people in the city, including radio personalities, actors, musicians, and even went on tour to train Justin Bieber while he was on the road. His growth and popularity provided him the opportunity to audition for NBC’s The Biggest Loser as a new trainer on the hit TV show, where he shared his passion and love for helping people overcome their struggles, both physically and mentally. He has always inspired people from a young age and was now given the platform to do so on a national level. Dolvett continues to share his knowledge and positivity through speaking engagements across the country. #DolvettQuince #Culturation #PoweredByPremier #Entrepreneur #Fitness #Health #Wellness #Lifestyle #Justin Epstein
The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Biggest Loser Trainer Dolvett Quince Heading into his sixth season on the hit NBC show “The Biggest Loser,” Dolvett is proving that his passion, regimen and dramatic transformational results are making him one of the most in- demand fitness specialists in the country. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Dolvett and his three siblings were adopted by a Jamaican couple and later moved to Florida, where he finished high school. Dolvett then moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for fitness and established himself as a leader in his field of health and fitness. In 2004, Dolvett opened Body Sculptor, a private personal training studio in Atlanta with a commitment to “changing lives one rep at a time.” His business had a solid following, but it wasn't until a local radio personality started talking about it on his show that Dolvett and his business really took off. He then widened his business to training other trainers, which then led to him training celebrities like actors Angela Bassett, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, Baltimore Ravens tight-end Daniel Wilcox and singer-songwriter Jojo, among others. Within the studio, Dolvett created “Pure Energy,” a high-intensity circuit-training class with a live DJ. The popularity of Dolvett's fitness methods inspired the launch of his own DVD “Me and My Chair: The No Excuses Workout,” a low-impact, high-intensity 30-minute workout system that helps users tone up and slim down while only using a household chair. Soon after, Dolvett was cast on “The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser Mondays 9/8C on NBC
